JQ’s ts has been DDOS’d daily for about the last 6 weeks, usually during important pushes.

I’m not an expert on networks, but I assume the mass amount of resource usage by everyone in your zerg screws with everyone that’s also currently in your TS.

Edit: Everyones voice gets distorted/muddy, right?

the zerg fights and ts are not on the exact server so there is no chance zerg fights would cause that issue.

I’ll try to rephrase. The people that are both in TS and in WvW at the same time are experiencing heavy PC resource usage because of whatever zerg they happen to be engaging. This might be causing the lag on TS because everyone currently on TS has an overtaxed machine that’s struggling to keep up with the lag in WvW. As I said, I’m not positive this is the case (I could very well be wrong). But there does seem to be a correlation between engagements and TS oddities —err, I should say ‘occasionally’ there seems to be correlations.

That’s probably not a ddos attack, the same thing happens to the BG ts when SoR use to make their huge pushes. I’m not an expert on networks, but I assume the mass amount of resource usage by everyone in your zerg screws with everyone that’s also currently in your TS.

More likely the frequency of these disappearing acts seem to be the servers acting strange with the abnormal load they’re trying to handle.

What are you even trying to say?

You want to be able to put MORE than 25 stacks on bleeding on a target? 25 stacks isn’t enough? TWENTY FIVE. That’s two lots of ten PLUS five.

Who knows, maybe you’re right? I hope for entire player base’s sake that before they’d even CONSIDER it, they’d remove the bleed off of scepter autoattack. I’m sure if that happened you’d sit around 7 bleeds at any one time?

Its something I believe players would really get a kick out of, and something that would allow the developers to add meaningful loot to enemies/bosses and to add something we might actually want from the gem shop. It’s a win for everyone.

Mez got into an altercation with ICOA recently after they got fed up with him trolling map chat and slagging off our commanders. Mez vowed that he’d “destroy” ICOA, if posting false info in the matchup thread is the best he’s got I doubt they need to worry.

Yea that didn’t sound right to me. BG without Icoa would be like.. Well it just wouldn’t be right.

I have to admit, I like the particles, I like the idea that I don’t need to read a combat log or numbers popping up on the screen to tell me what the hell is going on. Even in wvw, the particles let everyone know that your sustaining, cleansing, etc. With that said, it can be perplexing depending on the circumstances (pugs blobs, camera angles, etc.).

Exotic players have statistical advantages over uplevels, and ascended players have statistical advantages over exotic players. Wealthy players are able to afford more siege and consumables than poor players. All of these things require a grind in the pve world and all of these things put certain players at either an advantage or disadvantage. It’s the nature of WvW.

The chaotic and unpredictable nature of wvw closes the door to any reliance on positioning for the solo roamer. Even the closest classes to us with mobility issues are far better off at survival/escaping than we are. I’d like to see (even if it was restricted to wvw) one skill that gives us a shot at escaping the zerg.

I don’t have a very chivalrous nature when it comes to roaming. I generally won’t use any emotes (/laugh or otherwise) and I won’t disrupt organized events (i.e. duels or GvG activities). Aside from that, this game mode is about killing the enemy — so that’s what I do.

When you don’t have the luxury of having a plethora of mobility skills at your disposal, you tend not to waste time on reviewing your personal code of conduct and /bowing to defeated enemies. :P

Our changes seem to be a bit more substantial than a HUD change. In all honesty, its pointless to speculate how the meta will be affected, or whether or not our class will change for the better right now. In a couple hours we’ll have more concrete information.

I never knew that you can plague-stomp, how do you do that?

Start the stomp normally (f), then immediately activate plague form. The form does not interrupt the stomp at all and you get stability.

i faced jq and bg last week and yes the skilllag is terrible. now back in t2 we still have skillag,but not as much as last week.it definitely has gotten worst tough over the past 2 weeks

With SoR back in T1 it’s absolutely ridiculous compared to what you faced last week. Took me 10 minutes to flip a camp about 45 minutes ago. 5 minutes for the supervisor buff to wear off, and another five minutes for the supervisor buff to wear off. It counted down to 0 and just stayed there.

They’re a bit overpowered and as it’s been mentioned above they become mandatory when talking about player equality. The vitality buff also doubles as a damage increase for condition builds, specifically runes of scavenging.

Define usefulness. Necromancer isn’t the optimal choice for most pve content, but it certainly doesn’t carry the stigma that thief does in that part of the game. In pvp we have a few builds that are very deadly. In all honesty this is about gameplay preferences and aesthetics, level both to 10 and decide what you enjoy the most.

Going Dire armor with rabid trinkets + weapons doesn’t seem to have any trade off. Condition damage and vitality increase, toughness stays the same and everything procs more or less the same. I’ve only been testing this for the last thirty minutes, so this is just a quick observation.

Even before the new runes were introduced, I always figured they never added the CVT stats because of how imbalanced it would be. You basically have the best of both worlds where as PVT users are giving up a nice chunk of damage.

I’m hoping things change with the LFG tool, hopefully it will allow PUG’s to better connect with like minded players. I think the gw2lfg pool of players is far to low to accomplish this.

It’s an aspect of the game I wish they would have given more attention to. Most maps don’t necessitate underwater combat and so players aren’t forced to learn how it works. Combine that with either utterly dull or imbalanced weapons and you have our current problem with aquatic combat. It’s just another gimmick that they can’t seem to get working so they’ll shove it under the rug for now.

Edit: I wanted to add that this is a lost opportunity here. What few underwater areas we have are absolutely gorgeous and give the player a sense of discovery and exploration that the land just can’t measure up to imo.

Good to see more nurfs to compensate for DFire.
Was nice to get abused today in PvP for being a OP necro using DFire (On a spec that didn’t have DFire in it)

kittening aside, this mean the ‘temp fix’ of half Burning duration, is now perm?

It’s kind of a tradition for our class. Bugs become features, temporary adjustments become intended and long-term changes. Let them ease into the transition before breaking their frail necroy hearts. It’s not all bad, the “International League of Engineers Opposed to Necromancy (or ILEON)” will stop yelling foul and we have some juicy new runes and stat combo’s to play with.

I just want to remind folks again, the features and content you’d traditionally find in an expansion will absolutely be added to Gw2. The thing we haven’t decided is what form the release of that content would be presented in, be it a traditional expansion, living world, or some other form.

And will certain implementations like the living story give us all the features and content we’ve come to expect from expansions? It seems kind of hard to use the living story to add things like a continents worth of maps or new social/fluff features like lfg tools and housing.

Those things are already being added. And none of those things are content per say aka simply UI changes. Housing are things that can be added and are not story driven.

I believe he is talking specifically like new maps/regions or their supposedly vision for raids.

Those were examples.

Essentially, I was commenting on them being bad examples since they have nothing to do with story new maps or anythings. All those things are simply UI changes, just like the wallet. They have no real impact on the world itself.

I was asking whether or not the living story is capable of implementing the same features you would find in a traditional expansion (new features, new areas, new story content) with the same type of player reception (hype, interest, etc..) and cohesiveness that you would expect. I didn’t mention anything about the UI and nothing about the story specifically. My question isn’t even loaded, I don’t really have a preference one way or the other as long as we get an expansions worth of content.. somehow..

Traditional expansion just divide the community. Some buy and some don’t.

Use the Living Story to add traditional expansion content. So everyone can play. You will also see more gem store sales that way.

At the risk of sounding cheap, it doesn’t necessarily have to be a product you need purchase. Similar to what EVE online does, dropping an expansions worth of content on you free of charge.

Okay, I think I see where the disconnect in this conversation is coming from now. Correct me if I’m wrong, but you seem to think this game is supposed to require specs that focus on things other than doing damage with some control/support side effects? As far as I can tell, that just isn’t the intent of this game design. What they appear to be shooting for…at least what they achieved…is a game that focuses on killing stuff fast, with added perks of control/support as a by product.

Yes, I believe they intended to replace the trinity system with a system that could offer the same types of tactical gameplay without making any class a requirement for certain content. I believe it is unintended that the hardest boss in the game can be killed in 17.5 seconds with a group of zerker warriors, utterly skipping the different phases and mechanics designed into the boss.. The problem, as I keep stating, is that what the developers intended and what we have are two polar opposites.

If you believe that the current system is intended, I strongly disagree.
