Hi guys
As theif has low Vitality , I will use Sentinel gear to get Toughness and Vitality as much as possible.
Is healing power important to me ?
This is my build http://tinyurl.com/mj7stf8
As you can see , I tried to maximizethe initiative amount and regeneration and the healing granted by stealth .
Any suggestions to increase my survivability ?

funny, I am level 41 also right now and just switched from a clueless just click on whatever build to all minions now that i have them all unlocked and it seems much easier and more fun to level with. I loved using minions in Diablo2 so this is very enjoyable for me. Havent determined the best set of skills but I am using sceptre/dagger and axe/focus (just had an awesome yellow focus drop for me yesterday)
my main goal now is to get to lvl 50 so i can unlock the minion dmg trait. but I really should try to figure out the most efficient battle rotation
Hi bro , you are making a mistake here as Staff should be your main weapon to keep your minions alive.
Hi there , my main class is MM necro as I played in GW1 and it’s very powerful and surviving.
In dungeons I’m the last man standing and I belive that MM/zerker build is the best one ever.
Minions will heal you all the time , staff should be ur 1st weapon to use in any battle just to land ur mark so your minions can benifit from healing and other stuffs. Then switch to dagger/focus as they will give you the maximum DPS as Life Siphon heals you and does more damage than Ghastly Claws . Quick dagger attacks will grant you good healing , focus will increase your minions damage via Reaper’s Touch.
My build >> http://tinyurl.com/bs4jaon The most important trait to get 1st is minion master then bloodthirst and vampiric master then flesh of the master finally spite tree and transfusion.
In most battles > I land my marks then switch to dagger/focus and use 2-5 skills then switch to DS and use 2-3 then keep using 1 to grant maximum might , finally I use Life Transfer to heal myself and minions.

My build is very affective for both AOE and single target.
http://tinyurl.com/ckqnjm9 > zerker
if you want a tank build ( For my friend ) http://tinyurl.com/d6xdvgw
You can try my build ( zerker ) http://tinyurl.com/bs4jaon
It’s a very good one which save your life. My best one ever , in dungeons I’m the last man standing.
MM Necro in both as I love black magic that controls the dead.
I played engineer and ranger( GW2 ) as they are new / new mechanics.
I hope that ANet tells us their thoughts about it
Many guardians were using spirit weapons build ( me included ) , they were good and funny. When they became targetable , the build users stoped playing or changed thier builds. Why did u even made them targetable ?!
If u say that they were overpowered so just make them targetable in WvW or PvP as they should be untargetable in PvE because of big AOE from dungeons and mobs.
As we know that minions have many bad issues such as AL , low hp and vulnerable to AOE.
I suggest a change that will make them much better.
( Talking about MM necro ) >> Specially in dungeons and crowded PvE , when they die , you will become too weak as they present 50% of your damage , healing and toughness.
The fix would be letting their summoning cd to start when they being called not when they die so we can resummon them immediately.
One more thing , life siphon skills and traits should be affected by healing power.

+1 for the minigun
I want an entire kit not just 1 skill !
Turrents have very low health and damage , kits are much stronger.
Any thoughts about it ?
In every FPS game , my main weapon is minigun / heavy machine gun.
I hope to get it too in guild wars 2 .
You can reduce its damage as it has a very high fire rate so it will equal bomb and grenade in overall.
Its skills may be like that >
1- Normal shooting.
2- Damage and burn/bleed
3- Damage and cripple
4- Damage and blind
5- Higher rate of fire and damage + knockdown
Or as Azmuth Divarchchron.8059 said ( he asked for a weapon , but I prefer it to be a kit )
1. Fire: Create a barrage of bullets that damages everything in its path: Range: 1200 Cast time: 15 seconds, Recharge time: 2.5 seconds. # of shots: 1,000, Damage per shot: 5
2. Mini Mortars: Fire a volley or miniature mortar shells that cause knockback and bleed damage, AoE: 120, Cast time: 2 seconds Recharge time: 8 seconds
3. Armor Peircing ammo: Causes bleeding and vulnerability 5 stacks: Cast time: 4 seconds. Recharge time: 9 seconds.
4. Magnetic Micro Explosives: Shoot a voley of Micro explosives that cause cripple and bleed damage on impact: Cast time: 2 seconds, recharge time: 10 seconds. (this is supposed to have an effect like engineer’s “box of nails” or Theif’s “Cattletrops”)
5. Smoke screen: Discharge the Minigun’s air canister causing blindness: Cast time: instant, Recharge time: 15 seconds.

Good idea , but I don’t think that Anet will do it .
You forgot something !!
It will be good if we maxed out all trait trees. The builds will be diverse as we will be able to select 3 from 12 traits. The other reason to do that is that we are forced to get traits we don’t want just to get specific stats or vise versa( forced to get stats so we get specific traits).
I would like to be able to replay the entire story again ( give us the ability to replay any mission ).
If you say that it will ruin it , so don’t allow us to change the choices which won’t change the storyline at all.
That will never happen buddy.
But I agree 100% with you that trait and attribute synergies should be better.
Ranger has the worst trait tree. It is really messy and everything just looks randomly made.
In GW1 the trap traits were actually in Wilderness Survival, where it belongs!
I don’t understand why Anet changed that…………….
Why won’t it happen ?!
Traits and stats should be organized well from the beginning !
Or at least put the traits which need condition damage at condition damage tree ( trap traits at wilderness survival ) .
What do you think ? any one ?
Is having 2 sigils of battle on different weapon sets a good thing ?
>> battle/corruption on one , battle/restoration on the other.
Got restoration as Force ( 5% is a waste ) , as same as conditions duration.
The best and fastest way to build life force is via Dagger 1st skill , got staff as main ( landing marks ) and Dagger/focus ( switch to get might and damage ) then transform and use Life Blast to get might , finally use Life Transfer to heal minions and damage foes.
Try this build http://tinyurl.com/bs4jaon

I run traps and BM build and it’s awesome !!!
My pets never die ( normal PvE > not dungeons ) and they do 50% of my damage. My pets F2 skills kill any ( normal mob ) and drop veterans HP to 50%.
Check my build http://tinyurl.com/ctzrrqc
Actually , with my build I found myself very strong and unbeatable.
I can solo champions and do many events easily.
http://tinyurl.com/ctzrrqc
Guys ? what are your opinions ?
Hi guys , I really hope that Anet seperate and unbound the traits and their stats because of these reasons >>
1- Many players get stats that they don’t want just to get specific trait in the same tree.
2- The traits are unrelated with their stats such as , Ranger ( Trappers should focus on condition damage , but they are forced to focus on precision ( skirmishing) instead just to get the most important traps traits , they will be wasting their traits if they get wildness survival ( has condition damage stat ) as its traits don’t support trappers at all.
It’s important to focus on beastmaster as pets do ( 50% of ranger damage ).
As for Engineer , Conditioners ( FT / EG ) should get thier traits which are scattered randomly between Alchemy , Firearms and Tools. Firearms trait has the condition stat , why not just focus any build in one tree ??
3 – Finally I think that it will be better to let us choose whatever traits we want without sacrificing the stats. It won’t be op or unbalanced as every player will have this ability and will create his build according to this update.
If I’m level 70 and doing events at Queensdale or any maps that require 1-69 levels , will I get the same rewards/exp that I will get by doing level 70 events ?
I found a wonderful guide for dailies >> http://dulfy.net/2013/01/29/gw2-daily-achievements-guide/
But I belive that Gendarran Fields is the best map to achive 80% of dailies.
The dailies are >>Recycler , Leveler , Feast , Gatherer , Group Events , Kills , Kill Variety , Veteran Killer ( general and krytan ) , Aquatic Slayer , Champion Slayer , Condition Applier , Condition Remover , Dodger , Events ( general and krytan ) , Event Mentor.
Puzzle Jumper , Laurel Vendor and Crafter > At Lion arch which is next to Gendarran Fields .
Events normal/group and champions have very short spawning time , as for Dodger ( you can do it by standing in front of 3 Harathi Sharpshooters without attacking them , you will achieve this daily within seconds ).
Recycler and Feast as you have trading posts in this map. With many events will will achive Leveler easily too.
Your thoughts ?
Believe me, theory is one, practice is something other. I run 0-30-30-5-5 build focusing on armor and critical chance and still use fire and spike trap. Spike trap is really good. You get a chance to AoE immoblizing foes for 1 or 2 seconds.
Yeh, you can easly use sigil of battle in one and other sigil on 2nd. This doesn’t work with things like: dual sigil of battle in one weapons set or sigil of bloodlust along with sigil of corruption.
So I should use Corruption/battle on sword/torch and Earth/? on axe/dagger. What should I put on dagger ? Sigil of Accuracy as it doesn’t have cooldown ? what about sigil of agony for axe/dagger ?
About viper and spike , I will give them a try today.
(edited by The Demonic Spirit.3157)
That poison trap is total waste. Spike trap is kinda GG tho.
But the viper nest has shorter cooldown and does more damage than the spike trap. ( according to wiki )
If I have two sigils that have cooldown and on different weapon sets , can I use both of them without waiting their cooldown to end ? ( battle on sword/torch , fire on axe/dagger.)
Sigil of smoldering !! it will increase burning 20% so >> 1 second will be 1.2 ? funny !
Any other useful sigils ?
Guys ? any advices ?
I use dual swords as my main , got staff for clones and chaos.
My build >> tinyurl.com/boseadv
My build >> http://tinyurl.com/bmeqa9b
My gear is focused on condition damage and precision , what sigils should I put on my sword/torch , axe/dagger and spear/harpoon gun ?
But what about axe/dagger bleed/poison ? it’s too much !
sharpened edges is bad. 30% chance for 1 bleed lasting 1 second. pet’s prowess much better imo.
Do you have any prove that its chance is 30% ?
Any answers ? Which is stronger ?
My main weapons are sword/torch , I’m a trap/BM ranger http://tinyurl.com/bj796xj
Which sets will be the best to get as a secondary one? ( The one that deals highest damage )
Shortbow , axe/axe or axe/dagger ?
(edited by The Demonic Spirit.3157)
I also just saw you have circle of life in the natures magic tree.. is there a specific reason for this? as i can see 2 better traits on that line
natures protection and natures bounty both are way better than a healing spring poping up when u die
For my build , natures bounty is a waste as I don’t have regeneration skills in my build.
About Natures protection , I think that circle of life healing is more than the damage reduction which protection will provide.
It seems that sharpened Edges and might swap are better , My new build with some changes http://tinyurl.com/d8x7tug
ok – but they’re still not useless if they’re separate bleeds that stack.
good to know.
No, although sharpened edges is often not taken because a 1s bleed is such small amount, whereas something like 30% additional damage to all of your pets criticals can easily amount to more than that much damage, even if you’re not running a BM build.
Your are right just in one case which is having pets with fast critical attacks.
With Drakes it’s useless and ( sharpened edges + sigil of earth + shortbow bleed ) will be much stronger specially with condition/precision build such as http://tinyurl.com/d8x7tug
hey guy, i’d say sharpened edges, because you’re using pets with a very low crit chance and you have no way to give them fury, whereas you yourself will be critting most of the time.
Btw i know you didn’t ask for feedback on the rest of the build but on ur sigils, i didn’t think u could stack both condition dmg and power even if 1 is on underwater set, perhaps i’m wrong?
Also I think speed training is and certainly commanding voice is useless if you swap your pets whenever their cooldowns are up, though i don’t know your playstyle – if you have 1 pet out for long periods of time they might be useful
Also you have no condition removal, again don’t know what you’re planning on using the build for so that may not be relevant if your allies are cleansing you etc?
Thanks for your help and feedback , but I need commanding voice so that I can use the 2 drakes skills as much as possible ( swaping cooldown is 15 while F2 cooldown is 24 > when traited )
You are right about speed training , which will be more useful to me ? Mighty swap , master’s bond or compassion training ? Will master’s bond reset when I swap pets ?
What about rending attack as I got drakes and shark ?
(edited by The Demonic Spirit.3157)
So your answer is Sharpened Edges ?
Which is more important to me ?
My build is >>http://tinyurl.com/bwv7v5z
I focus on condition damage and precision.
Both ranger and engineer are currently unwanted for high level content.
Fun to level, though.
Sorry , but you are totaly wrong. I got all characters and the most destructive ones are trap ranger and demolisher engineer.
Specially with these builds http://tinyurl.com/ap5uwkp http://tinyurl.com/bgdgzc5
Swamp Drake has the best Drake F2, because its ability will actually hit.
It can hit targets behind him, It can bounce, its got 900 range vs 600 ranger, and its got a condition (poison) and it does fairly decent damage.
The other ones blow for anything other then PVE.
Try using guard and/or forcing your enemy (if they’re melee) to either stop attacking me or eat the drakes breathe, both have proved to be quite amazing uses of the drake breathes for me in PvP, although i do agree, Swamp Drake has the easiest to land breathe PEIOD, but as such it’s the weakest (still kittening strong though).
With some calculations , it seems that both insect swarm ( 2*( (5*61) + 5*(252) ) = 3130 ) and fire breath( (5*305) + 1640 = 3165 ) have equal damage , while lightning breath is the weakest ( 2*(5*97) = 970 ).
Besides , insect swarm rarely misses while the fire breath misses alot. As a result , Marsh drake is the best drake to use.Quick update, I might add it to my video, but marsh drake doesn’t quite do the damage salamander or river drake does (even with poison). Your just going to have to take my word for it, but against 3 targets I was able to deal 6165 direct + 3780 poison = 9945 damage versus the 11k+ from both salamander and river drakes. In PvP (any form) most players won’t let you get a 15s poisons to last full duration on them or they will die before it ends so expect real world results to be much lower. However, it is the easiest to land while still bouncing between targets.
And to those of you talking about other pets (jaguar) I think the op was asking/telling about what F2 abilities were the strongest in terms of reflected damage. Technically, jaguar F2 does 0 damage.
So which is wrong , my calculation ( appears that insect swarm does the strongest damage ) or the wiki ?
I would half to say your calculations are wrong. I know from testing that the river drake does the most damage, just as the bear can take the most damage.
Yeah, i know for a fact the river drake is not the one that deals the most damage…
So who does ? Salamander ?

If the feline are the strongest against 1 target , does jaguar stalk do more damage than lynx rending pounce?
That’s against many foes ( AOE ) , but which is the strongest pet against a single target ? ?
I know that shark is the strongest water pet , I’m talking about the strongest terrestrial pet.
The bad thing about drakes that they heal their enemies !
Which one got the strongest 4 skills ( including F2 ) ?
What are your opinions about both of them ?
