So paying less and having options is bad now?
Probably half the stream will be a corporate PR talk bundled with the name reveal and start of preorders. After that we should get short recap of season 3, list of main selling points like mounts and new specs and that’s probably it for today’s stream. Probably no release date yet tho they might say something like Q1 or Q2 2018.
Dungeons worth it if you speedrun them. Gold is just loosing its value. Why would new people bother learning and practicing dungeon speedruns to farm thousands gold/week when you can kill brain cells in new maps for few days and get the same result.
For us he teleported to the side at 50% then back to the middle at 25% and then almost instantly back to the side.
My only complaint is that it has way too many mechanics just for the sake of having them. Can easily cut out half of them and fight will be the same just less cluttered.
I did not get that whole cringeblade oath or whatever part. I will need a WP vid or 2 for that.
New pass area is amazing.
New fractal is overloaded with mechanics. Last boss probably has more than entire raid wing combined. It is fun but I am not looking forward to see it in daily rotation.
They are disconnected from their playerbase. Existence of stronghold and desert borderlands is proof of that. They are trying to fix that but it is a few years too late.
They are dealing with a living, breathing world.
They dialed that waaaay back during season 1 and probably completely scrapped with season 2. We are theme park now.
Ooh, easy mode raids exist already?
Yes. For few months already. When designing raids they relied on a complex system that allows content to become easier over time. You even get the same rewards hardcore players did when content was just released. What once took 2-3 weeks and countless hours of research and gear optimization now can be done in an evening by a group of random players with basic understanding of game mechanics.
Maybe you’re expecting a movie or a bioware game.
Tbh Andromeda main quest and season 3 episodes have similar quality and story telling structure.
What in the ####ing #### has ANet done to deserve these attacks?
Well they did release HoT. Current Broham’s story arc is criminally bad too.
Probably nothing. People just like to see the world burn and ddos is the easiest way to do that.
Oh come on, part of the stated design goals was that this is a content most players should be unable to run. Not “not interested in”, but “unable”. Yes, they were designed to shut out majority of the playerbase. How well they are fulfilling that goal is a separate issue (and one we apparently don’t agree on), but the goal itself is not up for argument.
Game crashes if person is unworthy?
There will be a kittenstorm if they will charge money for that tho.
Average skill level in gw2 is really low. “Exp” here is a decent pug in other mmos.
Join the guild that does training and/or casual raids. No need to invent new systems and overthink things.
Killed Deimos with my t16000m hotas + head tracker and voice control setup. Probably the stupidest thing I tried to do. Was not that hard to setup tho.
Fun is subjective.
The Mordremoth Final Boss 'Penalty Box'

I would/could agree with you if this were a World Boss, but not on a Personal Story. I think that’s what is being missed Personal should be soloable without having to invest in different armor or weapons than what was used to get to this point. Remember you aren’t actually killing Mordy at this point its a mind game, his death comes from the Dragon Stand Event.
No need to invest in anything. Just swap some utilities around and don’t stay in red circles.
Thing you kill in DS is mordy’s mouth. You kill mordy in that final story fight.
They designed medium legendary just to troll people. They not gonna change anything.
Hair with “physics” like vanilla ones please.
There are no servers in PvE or PvP. Servers only matter in WvW.
Do I need to explain why it’s a false equivalency?
Sure. I don’t mind.
I will wait for math people to do their math, but looks like anet goofed up the balance again.
Tbh 25-30 day weird timegate is a bigger issue than op imagining things.
I doubt Anet is still using windows xp…
GW2 still uses dx9 so who knows.
I don’t use backitems that much. If our only options are clipping or floating then I pick floating.
Is there any reason for an overpowered God of Death and Destruction to go to some queensdale and play with a bunch of new players?
ESO’s consoles version allowed them to fix the issues with the game and develop much more content than when it was only on PC. They even sold more copies this year than on the initial launch.
It would be completely possible to port Guild Wars 2 to consoles and the game would be playable easily on controllers with some tweaks.
It’s either a lack of ressources or a lack of vision that, sadly, doesn’t make that possible.
Maybe Anet doesn’t have console programmers.
It will be “playable” on ps4 pro and that new xbone. At best. Probably with unstable fps and overheating. Unless they spend a lot of time and money rebuilding half the game.

lol this kind of attitude demonstrates exactly what im talking about – Kicking people is a good thing, tunnel vision is a good thing, think affecting people negatively for the sake of a niche mod is ‘irrelevant’.
Kicking people based on their performance instead of a prejudice is a good thing, tunnel vision is not a dps meter related problem, people getting offended by a .dll file is not a dps meter problem.
Damage meter cons:
-It makes a % of the populace uncomfortable
-A % of the populace that would otherwise not criticize others feel empowered by statistics to criticize (or worse) other people.
-A % of people will kick others based on a statistic
-It is just not needed outside highly tuned raid fights.
-It encourages subjective tunnel vision
-It does not measure altruistic behavior and in fact discourages it.positives
It is good for highly tuned raid fights
Some people like to use stats to improve
Some people enjoy winning at meters and see it as part of the meta gamepros do not outweigh the cons in a game like GW2 where there is a power ceiling imo.
1,2 are irrelevant.
3 is a positive.
4 and 5 are not cons.
6 is a miss information.
Rising Dusk.2408 next youl be suggesting i uninstall the game ?
Thats always an option if you don’t like changes that company does to the game.
Sounds like an expansion or two sized overhaul for the sake of having an overhaul.
Given that it’s only 1 item, it’s unlikely to be raid-derived. Most likely it’s here only to block progress until they have the armor finished. Expect it to appear on raid vendor. Or legendary vendor. Or, possibly even, on new ls zone vendor.
Bring 250 deldrimor steel, 250 spirit wood, 250 blah blah blah to some guy in LA D8
Don’t forget 1k magnetite shards.
We’re looking into all of the issues and trying to get fixes out as soon as possible.
Including moonwalking adds from KC? Can’t kill KC and get to Xera atm due to the bug.
Xera also likes to moonwalk.

A lot of random stuff.
Chrono. Fits all characteristics and is actually useful.
I doubt they even know why they even blocked me, but repeatedly insta kick me stubbornly despite that.
They probably blocked you because they had to repeatedly kick you.
BigGuilds vs SmallGuilds: unfair scribe costs

Scaling based on number of members will force large guilds that care about guild halls to be a Jimmy Wales on steroids or force them to have membership fees.
I would love unpredictable AI
For about a day or two if not less.
Timegate Furnace is the worst one at the moment followed by underwater one.
Are you sure that your client even knows what equipment others have?
Client can access that information in a spectator mode in spvp. If for some reason “spectating” happens outside of spvp and someone found out how to get all this stuff to work… or its all just a scary conspiracy to keep snowflakes away.
I don’t know why this is all tied to the idea of whether Gliding is or isn’t good for Jumping Puzzles. I don’t care about JPs but I don’t want to use a glider unless I want to use a glider. It should be default OFF and switch it on in options if you want to use it.
Or let people rebind it to something that is not a jump button.
For those who missed it, this is the post that the OP is referring to
Gaile Gray
ArenaNet Communications ManagerHey guys,
We have a lot of tools that we use in the development of the game, but not all of them are available or supportable in the live game. Adding tools to the game that would require continual updating and maintenance would not be the best focus for the team. So while we’re aware that some players would like to see an official DPS meter — and clearly the community is divided on this topic — you should be aware that the team does not intend to add one to the game.If you notice, the objection appears to be to the continual updating and maintenance required.
I think that objection is easily overcome if they allow the combat log to be written in a text file then it’s up to the community to figure everything else.
Unless of course writing something to the disk isn’t within what the game client is allowed to do, if I recall there was some talk about text files in the old discussion about build saving. There are “issues” if they allowed saving builds to a text file, like in GW1, so maybe the client can’t be given access to text files so easily.
Client can edit and write game settings to XML files and also can create logs. Maybe the way ingame chat works makes it impossible or a pain in the kitten to do.
we can see the damage meters cause
That’s why no one can show any?
are you kidding? they cause people to kick people from their team who aren’t doing a certain amount of damage, they cause elitism which is incredibly damaging to a game.
Achievement points, mini pets, skins, mastery points, trash items, currency, and even forum posts cause elitism. “Elitists” can kick without dps meter.

That’s why no one can show any?
Player X thinks ‘dps’ is really important and uses a meter, and is very opinionated about it. Player 2 values balanced gameplay and is less concerned with min maxing 1 stat and more concerned with the overall group progress, including boon distribution etc. Player X tries to change how player 2 plays, or worse tries to force the issue.
And this is why DPs meters are a bad thing (unless personal only)
You did not say why dps meter is bad. You typed some weird stuff about some Xs and 2s.
Revamped Archwhimp can’t even attack properly because he gets phased so fast.
