A thread that could have been about cool ideas for guild modes and additions devolves into “Guild Wars 2 isn’t Guild Wars 1, how dare they not copy paste the original like many other sequels do!”
OT: Yes, I wish my guild had more stuff to do together other than guild missions. We do monthly guild zergs and WvW stuff, but that’s about it. I could do zergs with anyone. Guild versus guild would be nice. But maybe other things that are more out of the box could be done to? More types of Guild Missions? A section of the mists just for Guild stuff like Guild Halls and GvG? Just ideas. In the CDI about horizontal progression people talked a lot about housing, guild halls and stuff. I assume that we will see more guild content in the future. Or at least, I hope we will.
The OP was about the title of the game. It wasn’t about ‘hip new guild ideas’. Maybe you were as mislead by the title of this thread as others were about the title of the game…
warrior vs engineer is like asking if you should drive a hang-glider or a unicycle, they really couldn’t be much different…try both
Forum Wars!!! It’s a spin-off!! And reflects GW2 as little as GW2 reflects its’ predecessor! I win ;p Destiny’s Edge and story mode dungeons…pffft… Why don’t you just call GW1 veterans stupid and not be so coy about it….
sounds like you were in teamQ to me
The point that this is even being brought up means there is currently a large problem with this game.
I don’t understand this comment. Stuff is brought up all the time. This is one person’s opinion who doesn’t like something and he’s suggesting that if people don’t like it they shouldn’t do it. He could have said the same about green dye. If you don’t like green dye and don’t want more green dye, don’t buy green dye. If no one bought the green dye and no one used it, Anet would stop making it.
How does that indicate a large problem in the game.
I think it’s more likely that they would take it as a personal challenge to institute an “epic green dye” that everyone does like. That’s just based off of general history of some flawed logic though tbh.
“It has come to our ultimate understanding that the community, in no way, is ok with the current state of green dyes and would rather they just be removed from the game completely. We understand now that the hundreds of green dyes we’ve released since this issue was brought up have failed and were rejected as a whole by the community. In closing we would like to say, perhaps, you guys will be happy to know that we are FINALLY going to…………………………add an ‘epic new green dye’ to the BLTP for 1200 gems!! We are positive we hit the mark this time and await your positive feedback (all negative criticism on the green dye subject will be deleted…sorry). Thanks for all your opinions and suggestions on the green dye subject as it has helped us get headed back in the proper direction. If there is anything else you would like us to ignore, there is a link to our next ‘CDI Project’ below. Thanks again.”

any. all the classes can be built for the same things. they are all fun as well. there is not a right or wrong. that’s the beauty of the build system in the first place.
Too many, I’m torn between a lot of armors but I would have to say… Necro Elite Luxon. It’s just too awesome to pass up.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Necromancer_Elite_Luxon_armor
I said it first ;p mine looked so good in bright orange with Dragon Guantlets!
I even one a best armor contest among my Guild Alliance
Vabbian Mesmer armor or Luxon Necro armor with DRAGON Guantlets plz plz plz!
Two of my faves from way back. I miss the Tormented set as well. Amy Aegis would be nice too…I’m gonna tear…up…now…QQ
some T3 have same skins as dungeon weapons too with slightly diff coloration.
This has been going on for over a month now. Unfortunately, it’s not just tied to PvP or CCs, but it also just happens randomly from time to time. It happens in pvp , dungeons, and the open world when dodging, WPing, or being CCed. Sometimes you’ll be rooted completely and ALL skills, WPing, etc will fail. Other times a movement skill or tele will break it. Sometimes none of those work, but using an emote like /dance for a few seconds will set you free. The reason I say “unfortunately” is because in my experience this bug is WILDLY random and has happened to me multiple times as well as party members. It doesn’t seem possible to recreate it. It doesn’t seem to be any kind of communication issue either.

This is your wish for GW2?
@Orpheal
The amount of different types of sigils must stay so because they cannot remove current content, not at least without giving us compensation. Let’s say tomorrow they decided to remove all sigils from everyone’s weapons and inventories so people can buy new sigils because certain sigil types dont exist anymore. Everyone would be raging.
It is already borderline that they are changing the stats Runes, specially after people spent so much gold on their current Runesets. This is called Bait and Switch, the Runeset is advertised as something before you buy it, then changes to something else due to whatever crazy nerf patch decides to hit.
The minimum here is that people get to keep their current Runesets and Sigils, even though changed, while looking at new stuff. You cannot remove things from people’s inventories.
He’s talking about weapon sigils which have nothing to do with armor rune sets. Furthermore, he’s right about the 30ish useless sigils that don’t have much room in the game tbh.
The only place a can really see the Slayer sigils getting any use is for particular min/max setups for dungeon speed clears. This could easily be remedied by attaching them to the ‘Slayer’ Achievements and/or FINALLY fixing potions to take their place.
The ‘Condi’ sigils are nearly worthless except a few niche builds that might use them to get a ‘tick’ rounded up but the loss of them wouldn’t make or break anything IMO.
The delayed ‘on kill’ sigils are probably the single most useless upgrade in the game IMO and demonstrate a completely flawed execution of a, seemingly, neat idea. Tbh I’d rather take a garnet pebble than to rely on proccing one of these at a beneficial moment. I doubt anyone other than maybe a (stubborn) minionmancer would miss any of these.
Combining the other four mentioned could be pretty op tbh but they could still be much better balanced IMO. A random chance to get a random short duration boon sounds silly in any build even if it is ‘Luck’. The just did an overhaul of random things like this didn’t they (engis)?
I don’t think naming combinations is the answer though. Tbh I don’t even see why they’re adding a second sigil slot in the first place. Two-handed weapons already have an inherent 10% damage boost as well as, generally, better skill synergy over their one-handed counterparts. At this loss of damage and synergy, the one-handed weapons get a second sigil and a bit more skill variety over the two-handed weapons. It has always seemed balanced to me.
If a second sigil is added to two-handed weapons, I can just imagine a ‘two-handed only’ meta coming down the pipeline. This will be used in tandem with the new zerker gear to almost nullify the Ferocity changes and only push min/maxers further into a
‘two-handed, melee, zerker only’ meta which will maintain our current problems. It will also alienate other gear sets AND weapons. Greatsword of Force and Perception anyone? I can already imagine the speculators licking their chops as the dollar signs flash across their squinted, beady eyes! I guess we’ll see what comes out in the wash and calculate our buffs/nerfs a few months down the road. We have all the adventure of an MMO WITH the fun of a rollercoaster here at GW2!
(edited by Tman.6349)
You thought THIEVES were a pain before
A great sword deals 995-1,100 in damage. A sword deals 905-1000 damage.
A two handed weapon already deals 10% more than a one handed weapon. That’s like two sigils of force.
This!!! Two-handed weapons are balanced by their stats. They have a good damage advantage vs. a loss of skill customization. They don’t need a second slot as they have naturally higher damage/skill synergy.
Something said in this thread has gotten me to thinking. What if pets… had levels?
Let’s say that when you get a pet, it starts at level 1, and it gains EXP if it’s out while you’re kill things. It can go up in level, getting small boosts to stats and size, until it hits level 20 and is “fully trained”. Maybe even an extra attack, or a better version of a current attack/skill, at some points.
Would anyone be interested in that?
This is how pets work already. They are scaled as the Ranger levels.
We have sub-classes already…they’re called builds.
Lol…another classic one of these threads by yours truly…I don’t
know why you all take these seriously. Ranger is pretty good, it’s people
with bad builds/situational awereness that are the problem. I’ve been
in plenty of speed clears where I almost got kicked with my ranger but they saw my AP first and asked if I had something else to bring. I told them to trust me on my ranger
in a war/guard group and ended up getting huge props and sighs of relief after.
They’re a pretty crazy duo really, and pretty dynamic. “I make a pretty good team!”, isn’t just a sarcastic remark. It is a Ranger/Pet; it’s not just a ranger with a pet. When people start playing it as a duality and not as an archer with some random, passive damage/effects, Ranger/Pet will be a much more appreciated profession.
PS. Bring back Rainbow Phoenix O.o why wasn’t this in at launch? A major profession based achievement from GW1 that didn’t make it…sad
lol i think this is the 4th thread like this i’ve responded to in the last two weeks. ‘on swap’ AND ‘on crit’ sigils SHARE a global ICD. Whenever either one procs, it puts the others on cooldown. your sigil of stregth has a 2 sec ICD while the sigil of fire has a 5 sec ICD. whenever these trigger, your sigil of battle goes on cooldown along with them, meaning that swapping weapons during that time will render those ‘on swap’ sigils useless. this is to curb power creep imo and has been like this since launch. to make a proper build, make sure that you are using these sigils wisely and taking into consideration that they share the ICD. in my experience the most effective builds use these in tandem with an ‘always on’ sigil like Accuracy+Strength or with an ‘on kill’ sigil like Fire+Precision. hope this helps.
‘Risen Scarlet’ ftw…
I don’t why people are saying silly things like, “maybe this would discourage speed clears and encourage exploration”. First of all, why do you care if people do speed clears anyway? Nobody is forcing you to do so and if you would like to lolligag through dungeons, then all you like minded players are more than welcome to group up and take your time. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, the idea of ‘exploring’ dungeon paths is ridiculous and shows a lack of any real dungeon experience. ALL of the dungeon paths are very linear don’t leave any room for ‘exploration’. People that run dungeons frequently call this ‘wasting time’ instead. Also, as was said prior, the reward for killing everything in a dungeon is an increase in the number of loot drops. If anything IS wrong with dungeons, it’s the mechanics (or lack of) in the different paths AND NOT a demographic of players that do them. Making things ‘equally bad’ for everyone is not an intelligent way to go about finding balance. A ‘hard mode’ version is the true answer. You can’t have BOTH difficult content with equal rewards for skilled players AND ‘trophy-for-participation’ in the SAME content. If your gonna have ‘casual/exploratory’ dungeon paths, then you’re going to have speed clears as well.
you didn’t do anything different on the 4th try….A-net is trying this new “Xtreem RNG” mechanic for every aspect of the game…it’s gonna revolutionize everything you ever found fun about an MMO
i haven’t used it but based on the ‘Candy Corn Node’ which yields about 10 pieces daily, you’d be making about ~20s a day in mats (which are currently borderline useless except for maybe upgraded to the next tier.) So this little ‘gem’ of an item should pay for itself after, roughly, 400 days of continual use. go ahead and spring for the unlimited mining pick and, after 4.5 years you will have ‘free and unlimited’/time-gated copper, silver, and gold that you can do all kinds of nifty things with like craft level 5-60 trinkets (fine print: pebbles, lumps, and nuggets sold seperately)
(edited by Tman.6349)
The Mists is calling you….ever so faintly…..“Please, come enjoy GW2’s REAL endgame! Hone your skills and forget about grinding! Have a mojito and injoy yourself and the sunshine in this paradise of personal gaming exploration!”
OR maybe Dhumm is calling you….ever so faintly….“Go wreck the Queensdale Champ Train! It’s a lot of fun and in GW2 you can ‘play how you want’!”
OR maybe the Great Outdorrs is calling you….ever so faintly….“Bro! You’ve been playing GW for over 8 years now! Get a dog and a Frisbie!”
practicing on moas or centuars in Queensdale would be better than trying do so in a competitive setting
When did hotjoin become ‘competitive setting’ ?
PLAYER VERSUS PLAYER IS COMPETITIVE! what does hotjoin have to do with anything. being level 26 has nothing to do with anything in sPvP. it’s also not a very good cantidate for learning how to play the game. people can be jerks in PvP a lot of the time though which is mostly uncalled for really.
“losing my temper”, “the leetist brats” etc hardly sounds like the innocents of someone who was trying to learn and/or disarm the hostility either…just saying
(edited by Tman.6349)
this should be in the PvP forum. any maybe practicing on moas or centuars in Queensdale would be better than trying do so in a competitive setting
edit: got moved right as i clicked enter
chances are you completed those areas once before and since then they have added several new pois and wps to different areas meaning that you dont have them complete (they’ll be like 98% or so) but you don’t get the reward when you 100% them again.
they are set amounts for each of the ‘top stats’ awards that you recieve. it doesn’t scale or change.
It would be easier to just introduce mechanics that zerker can’t survive.
and it wouldn’t be completely ludicrous to see and hear EVERYWHERE that zerker is the only way to go (ie. LFG Zerker Only) and then turn around and see QQ threads about how zerker is getting the ‘short end’ or somehow worthless in comparison to other specs. LMAO. Which is it really!?!
At least, they don’t nerf the effects of those SUPERIOR sigils and runes that you’re most likely using in those low level areas. At least, they don’t nerf the effects of those GRANDMASTER traits that you’re most likely using in those low level areas. Also, it’s ok to note that gear on par with those lower levels doesn’t even have access to +Crit Dam at all so that’s another thing to consider. I also find it very hard to believe that you are skilled enough to run zerker gear in these ‘difficult’ high level areas but are often getting ‘one-shotted’ by moas and such in starter zones. O.o The +Crit Dam is only slightly out of balance compared to other stats in the lower level areas ONLY b/c you can’t have +4.29% Crit Dam (just an example.) I’m POSITIVE your level 80 WARRIOR isn’t having as tough of a time in Queensdale as you make it out to be.
Challenging PvE? I’d take everyone but rangers and engineer lel
this is a rediculous and ignorant statement. Rangers and Engineers are both very powerful and useful professions. The ‘problem’ with them is a lack of understanding of how to build/use them properly AND ^^THIS^^ kind of attitude toward them. I have 8 geared 80s and am very fluent with all of the professions in both PvE and I’m r40 in PvP and I love using my Ranger in both dungeons and tPvP and VERY often get props on my toons as well as PMs for what build(s) I’m using and how to be a more effective Ranger. Rangers are absolute beasts and that’s all there is to it. They’re just not ‘warrior easy’ to pick up and play. This is very ironic when I see new people asking what prefession is a good one to start/level/play with and 90% of the time, Ranger is one of the first suggestions. Hmmmmm….weird!?! Ranger is one of the highest dps professions in the game and kit Engis can absolutely wreck dungeons. Fastest, smoothest, and most fun CoF p1 speed clear I’ve ever been a part of was a “LFG Rangers Only” run!
this isn’t a solution anyway. it doesn’t address the problem at all. this ‘solution’ is analogous to saying “killing someone will get rid of their cancer or other fatal disease”. not trying to be crude but doing away with the rez system isn’t gonna stop zerkers and directing it at only dungeons causes even MORE problems. ‘ideas’ like this is why they got rid of the ‘Suggestions Sub’ in the first place imo tbh
Sundar is rights, guys! Sorry to tell you, but with the build system in the game and the current professions, there’s not really many viable alternatives to a new profession that either a) doesn’t already exist ingame via building or b) isn’t just an almagomation of professions/mechanics/skills that already exist ingame. A heavy armor profession is the least likely to happen if they do come up with one as well. Any new profession is, most likely (like 90%+), probably going to be a light/medium armor, caster style class. I know it sux to hear, but it’s the truth. A new race is infinitely more likely to happen than a new profession will anytime soon (or ever for that matter.)
that sux bro…and if you were using them a LLLOOOTTTTTT daily, then they were probably only a few more years away from paying for themselves…
I would like my 1 silver 64 copper back as I came back dead. As this was ANETs fault I would like my money back. Thanks
maybe write up a claim ticket
this does suck so hard. same with DCs in dungeons right before a chest spawn or at an end boss. sometimes you won’t even get the dungeon reward itself. yet another ‘since launch…OMG A-net plz fix this’ kinda bug. especially sweet in high level fracctals…
a SINGLE skill can only reflect another SINGLE skill one time. For certain professions/skills this can be very effective and devestating knowledge!
be careful that you’re not accidently pressing the f1 skill twice in the heat of battle
Protip: for thief this can be VERY effective when using stolen skills like whirlwind as the the double tap will active the whirlwind and the steal tele giving you the next stolen ability WHILE lauching into whirlwind as you tele too them. When traited with the daze, this can be absolutely devestating. Combine with Blinding Powder after the combo to blind and cancel any immediate retaliation as well as giving yourelf time to reposition, for a few seconds to prepare for you’re next assualt as ZERO initiative will have been used at this point, meaning damage traits bosted by highe intiative will be much more effective (ie. backstab>HS spam ). This is an incredibly effective burst and can down or severly injure multiple foes at once. You can even trait poison application to those steals as well, making recovery from that burst either waste valuable CDs, Or make finishing the kill, nearly, guarenteed. Many think a lot of mechanics are broken, but the truth is that most people don’t even know how to use their profession’s mechanics to maximum efficiency. Prefession mechanics can and should be a part of nearly any build. A prime example is terribad ‘power rangers/pets’ (yes the prefession is RANGER/PET, and NOT just RANGER who happens to have a useless companion) who try to only boost thier ranger while completely ignoring the fact that ~30%ish of their classes productivity revolves around using thier pet wisely, hence the reduction in base power for the Ranger himself. I’m not aware of any real bugs surrounding these particular mechanics other than the neglect and/or inability for people to use them efficieantly. I’m not trying to call anyone ignorant or descredit the idea that there might be some bugs, but i’m halfway through my 9th 80 and have no problems with anything like this. Sorry if I’ve come off as rude but these mechanics have SO MUCH MORE POTENTIAL than, probably, 50%+ of players are even aware of. As far as the Necro loosing health while in DS, be certain that you’re not stacked with conditions as you enter DS b/c these will still continue to tick away damage to your primary health bar. Is this a PvE, 3dubs, or PvP issue, btw? Just for a bit of reference.
(edited by Tman.6349)
we could all use the ‘arguement’ we find all over the forums about grinding for ascended gear and say “well, you don’t have to do it”, but I guess that might rub a lot of people the wrong way when it’s something personal to them huh….pretty silly to think WvW have to wade through TONS of PvE content for ascended gear to keep up with the others there that have it, yet the PvE crowd is up in arms about having to spend maybe 2 hours (not an exxageration) in WvW maps to get their map completion. so let’s all check and see if we have 3 fingers pointing back at ourselves before this thread goes any further. cheers and good day
that’s called a ‘compound’ bow and they work on a pully system to reduce weilder resistance why myltiplying power and volocity by 3-5X I can see a lot of hunters or others that very much like this bow as it is a fresh new face outside of all the ‘recurve’ style bows that litter the rest of the bow selection in the game. hope that helps and you’re welcome to research the mechanics of compouund bows to see why they are superior
its 20 silver per tome and not 1g so almost 120k glory and 16g to level to 80…its actually less than this since coming out of your starter instance you are level two
I would like to see F2-F4 added to the their as ‘stolen item slots’ and for steal to immediately go into cooldown while adding the stolen skill to the next slot. This would allow thieves to use their stolen skills in a more opportunistic fashion and get rid of the need to waste a ‘currently useless’ stolen skill just to access their CLASS MECHANIC once again. I think this would be a fair balance with the mechanics of the other classes and also make the thief steal more user friendly as well as making the use of it more strategic. Perhaps adding a 1-2 second global cool down on the f2-f4 stolen skills to avoid some spamming abuse that I could imagine. This really wouldn’t be hard to implement and would make stealing much more viable IMO.
I’ve posted this on a suggestion thread (ie. the idea graveyard ) and I was thinking one way to make these traits a nice addition to any build is to keep the current fall damage reduction but to also make it proc when you take say 33-50% of your maximum health from a single source. This would not only make them useful against huge boss attacks or ‘evicerate warriors" (ahem ranger
) but would also keep them from proccing on useless fall damage like those that cause 200 damage in WvW etc essentially putting your trait on cooldown before you need it for that next REALLY long fall…falling 10 ft surely might hurt your leg but i don’t think it warrants blowing off a CD on a useful trait. What do you guys think of an addition like this?
this can be a real pain when grouping in all aspects of the game…“hey dungeon group here’s some potions for everyone….well, sorry 5th teammate, i’m suppressed…sux for you”
I guess I could have been so concise and beat you to the punch huh jeff ;P
the training manuals only ‘unlock’ the next tier of traits for your use and are level-gated. the trait points themselves are earned as you level from 10-80, 70 trait points total. everything is working correctly.
Diamond Skin is kind of a pain but leeching and several other counters do exist for a Necro even though I agree that a CONTROL class that can’t control an opponent is utterly useless and requires specific builds in order to counter only one rendering the build useless in most other encounters.
How about Necro vs. Engi though:
“Man, this fight is dragging on forever…he keeps converting my damaging conditions into regen…this sucks.”
“Well, I finally whittled him down to 25% health so maybe it’s not so bad….WAIT! WTF!? He’s immune to conditions now?”
“Maybe if i just launch everthing I have at him, I can spike down this last 25% of his health…WAIT! WTF!? He used AED and has full health again!?! OMG this sucks”
“Well, I’m on full CD and I can see this isn’t really going anywhere…maybe i should just disenguage and go somewhere I can be useful…WAIT! WTF!? My profession lacks any mobility what-so-ever!?!”
“I wish this respawn timer would count down faster for me!”
(edited by Tman.6349)
there’s no ‘under-supply’ of gems to be bought though ;D
what about the guild challenge areas that added WPs to some of the earlier maps. I never noticed it affecting my world completion but those zones that i completed long ago are back down to 98% complete due to the addition of the new areas/wps. not saying this is certain but maybe something to check if you haven’t. Brisbain Wildlands, Gendarran Fields, etc.
Those affect the Explorer achievements but not world completion.
According to dev posts made around the time when they added the WPs to Cursed Shore and a few other maps the new WP/PoIs were required for world completion but not map completion. There may be an issue where the last map you “complete” is one that was previously complete but had a new WP/PoI added.
yes this is exactly what i was saying though i wasn’t sure if the new additions counted toward world completion or not
Because there’s no character progression.
If I wanted to play a straight fighting game, there are plenty of them to choose from. When I play an MMO, I expect long-term character and gear progression. If I want to play a MOBA or an FPS, I’ll go do that.
When I do PvP (and I engage in PvP in every MMO I play), I prefer open-world battles rather than e-sports. WvW is fairly well done in GW2, so that’s where I play.
This is a good post an explains why sPvP in GW2 has essentially been a flop. It doesn’t affect your actual character in anyway, you may as well be playing LoL for all the good it does your characters.
the rewards of being active in PvP are not tangible in the form of new shinies to be proud of till more come out. the MOST rewarding part of PvPing is honing your skill with your profession and playing against an intelligently controlled opponent vs. terribad AI garbage. the reward of seeing that stake sticking out of your opponents back is just as, if not more, rewarding as ‘another rare to salvage’. PvP will take you out of ‘robot mode’ and build you up as a player. surely a novice karate student might practice against a wooden dummy, but the blackbelts practice against their peers always pushing themselves to get a little better. there ARE rewards in PvP, but, for the most part, they are personal rewards and not something you can ‘show off’
While I’ll agree that pvp requires skill, I feel like you’re trying to insinuate that PvE takes none at all. If this is the case, I have to whole heartedly disagree and say that that it’s a very ignorant thought. Knowing how to handle specific mobs and landing the right timings in a rather chaotic fractal run can most definitely take skill, just a different kind of skill from the one you’re more familiar with.
And yes, there are (small) personal rewards, and of course the sweet taste of victory, but you need to remember this is an MMO, not Battlefield of Duty XIV. It’s a game that promotes the idea of cosmetic rewards, and I can guarantee you that I’d play more pvp if my character didn’t look like trash. I already grinded for a legendary. I already worked for cultural armor. Why do I have to re-earn those items?
if you’ll read my original post on this thread, you’ll notice that I said that DUNGEONS AND FOTM are exceptions to the ‘PvE Rule’ and those are what I usually find myself doing outside of PvP. You also wouldn’t be calling me ignorant and being defensive for no reason. Brush up on the topic and keep pace please and thanx. Cheers
I am a keyboard user myself and thought the default settings are terrible and cumbersome so I too use my keyboard for 98% of the game and only use the mouse to quickly target, to adjust my camera for more accurate jumps and to look up or down for JPs and last for ground targeting spells as well. With that said, I have my keyboard layed out in such a way that EVERYTHING is very easy to access with my left hand while still being able to keep my right hand on the arrows for movement. Pls not for the best use of keyboard movement turn up you camera movement to maximum setting so you can quickly pan the camera. This setup, I feel, is very intuitive and very easy to get used to and maximizes keyboard effeciency. So these are the main changes:
Arrows:
up,down: forward, backward
left, right: strafe left, strafe right
Keys:
F1-F4: Profession Mechanics (I bind 6 to the F1 also for those that only use F1 ie. thief)
1: Heal
2: Elite (I use 2 for elite to avoid accidentally pressing it while hitting 4 or 6)
3-5: Utility skills
Q,W,E,R,T: these are my weapon skills in order
A,D: turn left, turn right (it’s more intuitive to leave the strafes on the arrows)
S: turn around
7: autorun
X: dodge roll (disable double tap if you use arrows to move, can be a headache)
C: target closest enemy
Z,V: cycle targets previous and next (also rt shift and right ctrl)
Tab: swap weapons
~: call targets
J: stowe weapons
all of the menus I have pretty much left where they were. As you can see, I keep my left hand at the ASDF keys and can quickly and easily execute any combat command that I need while maintaining my left fingers at their ‘comfortable home’ and keep my right hand at the movement keys. The only time my hand ever needs to leave the keyboard is for the few things I mentioned such as casting a ground targeted spell in the heat of battle. I PvP quite a bit and I find never looking down or pressing the wrong keys to be very crucial (I can play perfectly in a pitch black room.) So with that said, give it a try and I promise it will feel like this is how the game was meant to be played: EVERYTHING is at your fingertips with minimal effort to execute commands. Good Luck!
(edited by Tman.6349)
i wonder if a ‘disable passed to pet’ trait (I forget the name) would bypass this and allow you to stay stealthed. granted in any good, i’m assuming PvP, fight that trait will be cooldown at all times so that’s not really i workaround more than curiosity. there are plenty of great sounding trats like this that misbehave and are rendered useless. go rock a thief with some ‘Hard to Catch’ or ‘Last Refuge’ and see if you don’t get the sudden urge to smash things around your generel PvPing vecinity (typing from a superglued keyboard j/k )
