yup pvp in pvp zone. You should be prepared for fighting when going in to do it.

Waypoints have to be built. When you capture a tower or keep you can que up upgrades. Upgrades require supply in the base. Supply comes from dolyaks that walk them from supply camps. Waypoints can only be built in keeps. If you go in the keep look in the upper right corner and you can see what the progress of the current upgrade being made is. As far as the achievements I had heard that the demolition expert is bugged or something. You don’t need all of them for the chest so i’m just going to skip that one.

Not sure if you realize it it’s reported that all servers are feeling the lag.

Not to mention that because you are transferring late, you won’t get rewards for the rank of your new server.

i’ve yet to feel any sort of skill lag, fps lag while in big zerg fights yes but actually hitting a skill and not having it fire no. I do my fair share of zerging too. Yesterday we had a three way in SMC and OW and never had skill lag.

You would be welcome on Crystal Desert. We bounce between T4 & T5, sometimes we’ll pop to T3. We only ever que maps during NA prime and recently with the season, but the que’s are only at max 10 min. As far as skill lag…what’s that? i’ve never experienced that We have a community forum and community teamspeak for coordination of guilds and such. Great community, love the desert. Check us out

OK, but I like fights. I don’t play NA times. I’ve been in t4 and below. It is dead in oceanic/sea times I play. Pvdoor isn’t fun to me.

I’m on CD and we’re t5, never once had skill lag and we only que maps on reset night and occasionally NA prime time (however they are only at most 10 min or so). It is also no where near dead. Tons of great fights.

I really don’t feel any sympathy for people complaining about skill lag or ques that has recently transferred. It’s what you get going to a stacked server. For all the folks that have been on the stacked server since launch….well i feel bad for you guys.

I just recently put my thief on the shelf to play my mesmer some more. I was kitten in around in EB last night and got with this thief and we started taking down groups of enemies. Like 2v7’s and 2v5’s + vet guards. Now she might have been pulling more weight cause i’m still practicing with the mesmer but I know i downed a bunch of enemies. I was shocked at how well we pulled it off with zero coordination or voice comms and with the numbers stacked against us. As a note I’m running a pure power build (trying to break away from all the condi mesmer builds)

@helios – thanks for that look i’ll def check it out. Coming from a ranger and thief, movement speed is a must for me so perplex runes are a no go. Is the weapon combo in your build the go to power weapon set? is there a go to power weapon set? I’ve heard sword + pistol is good too, any comments on that?

some pieces of advice….

1. get off the forums…so many doomsdayers, haters, and QQ in here it paints a bad picture.
2. if you’re still in the forums (you should be playing the game), don’t listen to all the play this class yada yada. Roll as many toons as you can…seriously. I ran a ranger to 80, then a thief to 80, now i’m back on my 51 mesmer a week ago and hes now at 80. Seriously bouncing between the different classes just opens up new fun all the time.

5. just play the game and have fun. It will only feel grindy if you make it a grind. If you play the game (do quests, events, explore, craft, pvp, wvw, living story) and just have fun it makes it so much better.

Hey there everyone, first off I would like to introduce myself, my name is Tim and i’m the guild leader of Team Raven [TR] in game. Also known in games as 306, Threeohsix, Tresoseis, Urmom306, ItsUrmom306, etc. lol any of those will work. Anyways, Team Raven is a gaming community of 17 gamers that share the common love of playing computer games. We enjoy just sitting back and hanging till the wee hours playing games and joking around. We are a pretty close knit bunch and we all play a wide variety of games (Minecraft, Guild Wars 2, Planetside 2, Battlefield 3 & 4, etc.). We’ll pretty much play any game. We currently have 2 Minecraft servers (modded and vanilla) as we were originally founded on Minecraft. However we are looking for more Guild Wars 2 players. In Guild Wars 2, we are a WvW & PvE guild (i’d say probably 60% wvw and 40% pve) on Crystal Desert. This invitation goes out to any player (18 years of age or older) that hasn’t found their niche yet, that is looking for a few gaming friends that they can hang out with and play the games we love. We also have a mumble server with dedicated game channels for all the drunken late night good times. A majority of our members are Eastern and Central (with one from EU) but we are open to any time zones.

If anything i’ve gone over so far sounds like something you would be interested in, I’d highly suggest going to our website and applying to join. bump for my home CD, great community we got goin on here

Ok so i’ve recently jumped back on my level 51 mesmer (after playing tons on my ranger and tons on my thief). Got my mesmer up to level 80 through some crafting and now i’m looking for build ideas. I mainly play a mix of WvW with little bits of PvE. My guild is pretty small so in wvw we usually run around 2-3 roaming parties that will occasionally piggy back on the smaller zergs (for means of transportation and easy xp tagging while taking a break from the small skirmishes). We will also take part in the large scale battles for SMC if we see one going on.

I’ve been looking up builds for the mesmer and everything I find that people are saying looks good is just condi builds. Now I don’t mind condi but i’ve noticed in wvw a majority of people have tons of condi removal and -condi duration. So i’m not too keen on going hard into condi as once that’s cleansed and gone, your left with jack. Do mesmer’s have any sort of viable power build? crit damage build? anything like that? Any tips for someone looking for a power build, obviously not as bursty as a thief but something that can catch other players off guard.

To all the folks with screenshots of the zoom hacker, if I see him I def will report him. I’m in wvw every night so i’ll be on the lookout and tell all my guildies to be on the look out too. I enjoy friendly competition but hacking and cheating is complete garbage and not what CD stands for.

I like how our stealth heal has a 1 second cast time, and sic em is instant. Whats the point of even having stealth on that heal now lol? Cast heal, get sic em’d™

They never specified how the reveal was being applied. Will it be applied by the shout? will it be applied by the pet attacking that the shout causes? If the reveal is applied by the shout, instantly well they yeah it can’t be dodged. However if the pet was to be doing the reveal application then yeah it would make sense that it could be dodged. Anyways they cleared it up, still think it was a good question.

There is the actual value of this change. Stealth was the only sure stomp save in the game. It had no counter play. Really I don’t think it is that big a deal, because if you are a Ranger what are you giving up for “Sic em’”? Probably a spirit. While having a counter play for stealth is valuable the spirits are the crutch that make most ranger builds viable right now, and on the whole I think that the spirits actually carry more value.

The anti-stealth counter should have simply been “The thief is visible, even while in stealth, for 4s” – that would solve everyone’s issue without locking a thief out of their SA traits and stealth attacks.

^ +1, Sic em should only allow the ranger to see the thief but still allow the thief to be in stealth. It would allow the ranger to 1v1 a thief with more dynamics but it would also introduce some interesting team play and coordination for smaller skirmishes. Completely locking out a trait line is just bad implementation.

As much as i would love to see mag make the gold league, as that’s what a majority of them want. It would be so good to see sbi make it to gold and get roflstomped for 7 weeks and then implode lol.

I don’t think it was a stupid question. You use the shout and how is the revealed applied? directly from the shout? when the pet first hits the target? If the pet does the applying of reveal then it makes sense to be able to dodge it. They just cleared it up that it’s an instant application once the shout is used. I think it was a good question.

I highly doubt you would get banned for buying them, and I also highly doubt they will just disappear. Tons of wvw guilds buy these on a daily basis, tons of those players don’t even come on the forums, how are they to know they are exploited items. Also if they just removed them from inventories they would have a kitten storm of complaints about players that lost money buying items legitimately from the trading post. I think they should just ban the dupers and remove any golems currently listed by those dupers (to prevent them from being purchased and saturating the market even more) then alter the drop rates on golems to help balance them back out.

To the hundreds upon hundreds of buyers of my hundreds of crafted perplex ruins….all sales are final and I will not accept any returns for nerfed items. Thank you come again!

Great matchup so far but ioj a majority of your roaming crowd is full of kittens. I’ll roam around and party up with whoever i stumble into and 9 times out of 10 when i start a party with an ioj roamer literally before i can say hello they start trash talking and stuff….its ok guys we know your leetskillz but jeez chill out, it’s just a game. BP on the other hand have had some good fights and even better chats with the roamers i’ve stumbled into. /salute /cheers.

The difference, the way you get ahead for these servers, are other time zones.

yeah it is pretty frustrating, just checked the scores this morning and in the night we lost a lot of stuff and dropped behind by 2k Oh well last night was fun as kitten and we had lots of good fights

being from CD our match up is the best i’ve had since i started playing in april. Tonight while I was on we were battling to keep smc so the we could get the fortified walls. It came down to literally one more dolyak that we needed. Then BP decided to go for SMC and got through inner. We were able to hold them off and get our one dolyak for the upgrade. It was edge of your seat stuff there for a while. An awesome match up.

i agree with walker, the ONLY racial skill i would maybe consider is the norn bear for sprint and knockdown. other than that the default thief elites (thieves guild, daggerstorm, bas venom) are all you need.

Was more a post to say how long it took you guys to kill us and how sad that was, We were melting groups our own size in less the 3 seconds, in pvt gear. pls l2gear your players. No reason a full pvt/support group should be able to do what we did lol

Seems to be quite a lot of love for the US servers. Might have to have a look and see what they are like. Though the distance and latency are a bit of a worry

I got a guildie that is my roaming partner that lives in england, we are both on Crystal Desert, he has never had any issues with latency at all. On Crystal Desert we have some great fights, big fights if you feel like zergin, medium skirmishes, zerg busting groups for easy bag farming, roamers for those 1v1’s 2v2’s, friendly community, community teamspeak, community website, community events, you name it we got it. We would love to have ya.

Was only on for an hour or so last night but we had some fun defenses against HK on CDBL last night, outmanned at woodhaven but our commander stayed on the cap and we were able to fight tooth and nail to keep the tower, good fun. /salute HK
