I am horribly less than agile and swift on my guardian, and I have crap for range, however warriors I have faced once reaching 80 are a joke. I do however realize most run stupid little cannon type builds but yeh dodge then proceed to lay the beat down. retaliation is my friend.
A good guardian will destroy a glass cannon warrior. I run CC hammer and I can go toe to toe with guardians.
Warrior is so versatile that most anyone can find a build for them that they like. CC, support, ranged, greatsword, condition are all good builds for wvw
On a funny note. Sup balista can hit a rabbit for over 4 million
Actually those treb number r regular. Haven’t noticed what sup does now that I think about it
Just so everyone knows siege is kinda already buffed. Superior siege hits like a ton of bricks. Sup arrow cart ? 1k-1.4k per hit. Sup balista? Have seen 3-10k. Sup treb ? 3-7k plus massive Aoe and knock down.
So I was thinking today that with all the pve events in wvw that there should be wvw in pve. Just imagine a group of people going into an enemy server and ganking everyone. Think about the wonderful feeling wvw players get when the q spots r taken up by people doing pve. This way the pve players could get the same joyful feeling
So what does dragon brand do with its 300+ ocieanic players when there is only 100 people on between the other 2 servers?
Please stay out of wvw if u don’t want to pvp

I think a couple of u r missing the biggest issues. While the chat clogging is annoying , have 25+(have seen up to 50) people in the in the jp while u have full q and r getting pushed by to full servers is a major handicap. On the legendary issue I think that if wvw have to do pve to get them, then pve players should have to do wvw to get them
What I dislike most about this match is the time differences in the servers peaks. Yeah mag and yaks overlap a but dragon is completely out of either of our peak times. I really suck to log on to nothing as fight for hrs getting it back just to lose it. I don’t mind getting beat I just ish there was something we could actually do about it. I’m sure there r people of mag with the same feeling and probably on dragon as well. I just think that even with close point totals it not really that good of match.
How would this improve things? 20 people with well placed siege could stop both sides with full armie. That would be 20 people for a whole map stopping 330 people with.

And on the color issue yes it does matter. Blue and red can both treb sm while being out of treb range from sm. Green water gate is easiest to get to then red then blue is hardest. Red has most defendable keep then I say blue then green. So red and blue have advantages over green.
So pve player r being forced to do wvw which is fine with me. If I wanna get gold with out spending really money I have to do pve so they can just deal

I killed an enemy that was holding a ram once and got to pick it u. Was epic
Having run a regen banner warrior I can say the problem is u don’t do enough damage to most of the people u hit to get any loot
This thread just shows how many people don’t try to find a way to win with what they have and just want the game to catetor to the way they know how to play. With a 15man guild group wehave little problem wiping most 25 man zergs cause we know what to do and how to spec.
I was saying it should just be a flat rate per event as it is with karma and money. Or perhaps another idea that I just had. Use a system like sPvP. U get so many point per whatever u happen to do. Just a rough outline but perhaps like this:
1 point per kill
1 point per rez of allies
5 points per camp captured of defended
10 points per fort cap or defend
20-25 per keep
30-35 for sm
Perhaps the kills should have “splash” meaning if u r in the area or maybe if u either tagged an ally with a heal or something along those lines. The splash system would take some work but it’s an idea
The points would be used like badges. Of course the amount to buy stuff would have to be worked out and probably tweaked over time
How bout getting them for completing events as that actually makes a difference in the score
The magic find would b ok but not the stat boost. Weather it makes a different or not its just asking for trouble. Also I should not be based on kills which is the most useless stat when assessing a players ability in wvw unless u r just do 1v1 all the time which isn’t really wvw
That make perfect sense scince the bulk of wvw players don’t go outside the wvw section
Golems need their own siege cap per team per map. Seeing 30-40 golem zergs is ludicrous. WvW should be about tactics and strategy not buying your way into towers.
Golems have become too much of a crutch for crap commanders who haven’t a clue how to properly siege a fortification and feel the need to buy their way into towers.

I can buff my 15man zerg up enough to wipe a 30man zerg easily.
Guardian might spam, passive healing, protection etc etc. With Reaper of grenth and a G sword.Hits 5 people at a time for 3 seconds.
Thats half their zerg poisoned and chilled enough for my dudes to turn them into a paste.Tactical Commander is Tactical.
And the next time they strip all the conditions and turn them into conditions AND u insta wipe ( I’ve seen it done). But once again tactic and skill is required for that weather there’s 5 or 50 people. Just because there is a massive group doesn’t mean they don’t use tactic and skill
My problem with zergs is not so much losing to them. It is that the zerglings do not learn valuable tactics.
On my server, we have a minority of players who lay siege weapons down to defend, who upgrade stuff.
People just run around pew pewing and not contributing to the team in effective manners sometimes.
I share Ur opinion here that they don’t learn tactics. With that being said there r tactics to be used while in a zerg that they can be taught ( if they listen :-p ). As for siege I usually don’t like people throwing down siege without asking cause many times it is bad placement or wrong thing to use and I try not to get mad cause I know they just want to help
Then how r u suppose to take the bay when there r 12 sup arrow carts on u in the lords room? Or 5 balistas in the hallway to the hills lord room (or any choke point for that matter) ? People don’t seem to get that wvw is about large groups working to together if u don’t like it go do spvp

Either send Ur main zerg somewhere else to distract the enemy while a team tries to ninja it or u send mass force there and take it before they can react. And what about defending? If u hold a key point that is under attack are u gonna only send 5 people to defend it? Probably not, Ur gonna send a zerg to wipe them if it’s a small attack or to defend if its a large attack. If a tower is defended by 10 people that know what they r doing its probably gonna take 20 people tocap it. There r times a large force is needed it’s just how it is. If something was done to eliminate zergs then wvw would be finished. So to all u zerg guild when someone tries to flame u just laugh at them. There is a lot of strateg in wvw that a lot of people don’t realize. I good team will have its main zerg which is what most people c running around killing everything. What they don’t c is the small groups capping camps, killing yaks, ganking reinforcements, scouting the enemy, and contesting way points. Much of the coordination goes on over voice coms which make the average person unaware it is even happening.
I fear that making golems and upgrades only buyable with a new currency will make it tough on lower population servers that don’t have a massive group of people to buy upgrades and such. If these lower population servers can’t buy upgrades the keeps and tower will be nearly defenseless as they won’t have a mass army to defend it and no upgrades to hold them off

On a similar topic. Is the 166 per team cap true? There have been time where we have been missing 100 people if it is.
heres my though on JP in WVW. Its a pve event in a pvp zone where pve players go and complain about being pvped. Y not just remove them so our maps aren’t bogged down with QQ pvers
y do they always do these right after an reset? i have slow internet and now have to wait over an hr to download so i can play. STOP DOING THE RESETS ON FRIDAY NIGHT
The rating may need some work but I think part of it is being “between” tiers. BG TC and YB all have this issue. They can’t just slack off in the lower tiers but can win without to having to really push hard. Yet they jump up and while they can hold their own they have little hope of winning. As was stated u pretty much have to role the tier u r in to have a chance to win the tier above
tiers 3 and 4 r good. Im on Yaks and we have a strong core but lack people over all

Winning through zerg forces is far worse and the antithesis of winning through skill. If people were smart then a non-capped aoe mechanic wouldn’t be an issue, but since people don’t like to dodge or use positioning to get out of the obvious red circles….
This is like raids getting constantly dumbed down because people couldn’t be arsed to DON’T STAND IN THE FIRE.
It’s called choke points. I doesn’t matter how skilled u r if u can’t make it though a point u have to pass though u can’t cap the tower. Even if use blocks to get though it u still need to sit in the lords room and kill them as they cast more Aoe in an area that u have to stay in to cap the tower which can only b countered by mass Aoe on ur part. If u don’t believe me try to cap the bay when there r 12 arrow carts in the lords room.

If there was no limit every class would have only one or at most 2 builds that r worth anything. Rams would become almost useless as would arrow carts. A well timed aplace hammer daze and with meteor shower and barrage could wipe 20 people. How would it be fair for 3 people to wipe 20 in 3 secs with no siege

A good warrior can beat an average thief as it is. Just wait till we can c him for more than 1 second

im not agaist people doing what they want im agaist its the fact that there is pve in wvw. its kinda tough to fight 2 full servers with only 40 people
