[BUG] - Rocket Boots Movement Bug

Er? I’ve had that rooting problems that have been described here with both the rocket boots and the sanctum sprint ‘s #2 skills so I know what I’m talking about.

And both of them are caused due to their MOVEMENT ENGINE that syncs in a bad way between CLIENT and SERVER and cause it to behave oddly due to a bad ping or fps drop with some skills in some occasions.

On a side note that ‘s also why there was all those TELEPORT kittens around. They’re now finally detecting them but they didn’t change the movementsystem itself. It ‘s still the same – at least that ’s the most recent information I do have. Feel free to deliver us any news about any positive changes concerning it if you’re able too …

question was if that is their MOVEMENT ENGINE why that rooting never happens with
Ranger’s Swoop (1,100 unit dist.)
Ele’s RTL(both when it was 1550 unit and now 1200 unit dist.)
Warr Savage Leap 600 (unit dist.)

while repeatedly and in every circumstance happens on Rocket Boots ?

I don’t care sanctum spirit. Also if you think something with warriors rush(there is a swing at the end of skill) go to warrior forum.

Please stop blaming the movement engine while you don’t have answers for these questions.

The thing is it DOES happen with other movement skills, not as often, but often enough. Specially with autorun on

This. I am using the hobosack, may only work for it tho.

EDIT: Added screencap. Apparently it doesn’t override it, but it shows two backpacks at the same time. Here you can see the flamethrower backpack clipping with the rutsack. Also if used with shield, it will override the shield skin. If you manually draw your weapons you’ll see the engie taking his backpack off as if it were his shield for a brief time

It is not an inmobilize, it’s a problem with the game’s engine and all movement skills. Seems to be very prominent if you have your autorun on. And mind you, it’s been on since release and still not fixed. But, y’know, they priorize game breaking bugs.

8 polished characters? -_- It took me 6 months to get my alt to 80. It’s just that I really am not fond of exploring and doing heart quests again. I agree that there isn’t much left to do after getting all the legendaries you want (i only have 3, gonna be 4 soon but that’s the last i plan on getting), and so achievement rewards would be a good motivator (seeing as I haven’t done most of my achievements even though I’ve played since beta).

4 legendaries? And you’re complaining it took you so long to lvl your alt lol.
Each legendary can take about 4 months to craft (and that’s playing on a pretty regular basis). And time spent grinding for your legendary is time you don’t spend lvling up your alts, and vice versa. You chose to go for shiny skins, then you will obviously not have time for alts

I dont get why you think its okay for 5x more achievement point gain to come from PvE then WvW.

So what if its “primairily” a PvE game. Does this mean WvW players shouldnt get achievement points as fast as PvE players?

Whats your reasoning for saying this? Other then sheerly forcing WvW players into PvE or they will yet again miss out greatly on reward.

To be fair they also “force” PvE players to WvW to get their legendaries

That reads “unlock system” to me.

That sounds aweful.

As a wvw player we dont get as many achievement points. And the achievements are quite insane after a few tiers.

To be fair if you only play WvW you are a) not experiencing the full game
and b) doing the same thing over and over (which they don’t want you to do).

Focus is an extremely underrated weapon. People don’t use it because they’re too blinded with the DPS bandwagon. Focus is a control weapon, and it’s amazing at what it does. My only real complain about it is flamewall which is pretty lame, but all the other skills are way superior to dagger offhand

got the first ticket at around 1k coffers on the first day. It was around 50g that time.
Been farming coffers and buying more since then, about another 1’5k coffers opened and still not a second ticket. While I haven’t spent any real money on them, I still feel kinda bummed at wasting 2 days for nothing but candy.

This happens to all other classes. If I were ANET, I would stop looking at the angle of class balance for now as this will take too long. Instead, they should look at dungeon mechanics and how they can remove some of the viability of running a full zerk team of warriors.

Example is fighting a Veteran Karka. If the karka pops retaliation, even my regen ranger has trouble outhealing it if I don’t stop attacking with my SB. Conditions will shine in fights like these, thus making other classes more viable than a zerker build.

That’s the moment when necros and their boon corruption and thieves with boon stripping become the new meta

Sharing that many boons to 5 allies would be extremely overpowered!

But, you do make a good point about boons (the proposed arsenal of the Guardian, according to Anet) being abled to be countered by so many other tools to other classes.

A better idea to me would be to increase the potency of Guardian boons to themselves only. Maybe something like a 1% increase across the board for all boons, or perhaps a trait that improves boons similarly. Perhaps an increase per point spent in the Virtues line along with Virtue recharge rate and boon duration. Again, this would affect the Guardian only.

They already have a trait to increase damage based on how many boons they have. But having like a gandmaster trait to share all your boons would be pretty awesome

I just crafted the Infinite Molten Berserker Tonic and some emotes seem to be bugged (they end midway or really fast). I don’t usually use tonics so I don’t know it this is a common thing, but I guess it’d be nice if it was looked into. Really happy with this tonic regardless

Gonna copy-paste this from another thread. This is the necro build I’m running atm, focused on wells for protection and lifestealing for healing. Extremely tanky with pretty decent damage:

Basically the idea is to lifesteal out of every hit and crit possible, while maximizing your defense with toughness (I know many say vitality is better for necro’s DS, but I honestly don’t like it that much as a mechanic so I built for toughness). Since you don’t need much more extra vitality cuz necros already have a ton, having a lot of defense and tons of micro healings seemed more effective to me.
Wells are used both for offensive purposes such as suffering and corruption (I usually use this one for the damage output, not for the corruption itself) and for defensive with darkness. I usually use well of power for helping out the party on dungeons, and corruption for messing up with guardians on pvp. You will have to change your wells depending on where you’re playing.
When on PvE I might use the racial skill Battle roar from charrs (2 might, 6 secs of fury) over well of darkness if I don’t really care getting hit by weak mobs.
Armor will provide you the toughness you need to be tanky, while zerker trinkets (exotic or ascended if you can) and weapons will boost up your damage quite a bit. Mesmer runes will also increase your damage, tho the 33% daze duration from the 6th rune was useless for me so I put on some extra precision.
Traits are pretty much self explanatory. Protection on well summon is a really good add. And increased warhorn CD means more locust swarm ticks, means more life-steal. Also one of the best interrupts in the game IMO.
Flesh golem seems the best elite option. Decent HP even while not traited, decent CD, decent damage and decent IA. Also the charge skill can be really OP against champions if they’re close to a wall. Removes all their defiant stacks. Thrice. Also a good mass interrupt too.

So far this is the tankiest build I’ve run on any class, it even seems to surpass my guardian, so I’m happy with how it came along.

Necromancer downed state bugged?

I think the reduced HP is probably to balance the healing on his 1 downed skill. Still, I’m pretty sure there’s a bug somewhere, which triggers randomly, because getting one shot by PvE normal mobs while downed is NOT normal. Even with red downed penalty on other classes I’ve been able to take more hits than on necro with no downed penalty. It just seems to be random, because I know I can take quite some hits, but sometimes just one hit and you’re dead, and not even from bosses.

If you want to nitpick and boost your damage with sigils, you could also, if you want to spend your time in it, get an AC weapon skin and 2 sigils of the night. Equip them in an alternative set of weapons (double weapons, dagger scepter or focus, your call) and use them when you see the AC weapon is shining. That will mean the map is in nightime and therefore you’ll have a 20% damage increase.
If what the wiki says is true and you can’t stack permanent stat bonuses, you can still do this with just one weapon

While testing out conjure weapons on PvP with the ele I realized when you hold any of your conjures, on your hero screen your PvP weapons will switch to the PvE Weapons. I don’t know if it’s only a UI bug or it actually changes them too.

What’s wrong with having a little fun gambling? I spent some money and at the end of the day I supported Anet and GW2, and when I walk away with a token it just feels so much sweeter.

People in here act like it’s a sin to spend money supporting a company.

I wouldn’t mind supporting a company that does things right, but as much as I love the game, anet seems to screw up every single time. So no, no extra money from me. I got my collector’s edition and that’s all they’re getting

TBH only the tome’s healing I would tone it down. Not on the guardian, but on the fractal’s Archdiviner. It literally hurts my sight whenever he casts it. It’s pretty insane.

I would love to have this sort of build as well, in fact I’m working on it already. Only problem here is life siphoning/stealing from traits doesn’t scale with healing power for some stupid reason.
Please devs, make all sort of builds reasonable. This would be so much better if we could actually use helaing power for something

Necro Update Patch

Maybe it’s because I started playing necro right before the update and didn’t pay much attention to it but, as of now, Frozen Abyss is cancelled automatically by auto-attack and never gets to do the finishing hit (unless you purposely face opposite way off your target so auto attack doesn’t activate). I’m pretty sure this wasn’t happening before patch

Perhaps you should pay attention. they give a 3 hour warning if you are in dungeon lol….that’s hardly a ninja patch.

You should play other mmos that shut down the actual server for updates and maintenance and give a 15 minute warning no matter what your doing and they stay down for hours.

I don’t think you realize how nice GW2 maintenance really is.

If you were in fractals for 3 hours I feel bad for you.

Not 3 hours but a good hour and a half. Of course as I mentioned I usually get the messages warning about patches, but not this time. That’s why I am frustrated, and even more when it was only for a gem shop update

So I was just running fractals, quite a long run. Spend and hour and a half. On the last fractal I was getting pretty bad lag issues so I decided to log off and restart the client, only to find that hey! new patch! with pretty much sure absolutely nothing in it. Not even a notice. Now I find myself unable to join back with my party.
Please STOP this. Give us a warning. You usually do. Why wasn’t there any now? Thanks for another big waste of time.

Conjured Weapons Disappear on Pickup

Conjured weapons will also dissapear when picked up if the player has a sigil of Hydromancy. Not sure if it happens with any other similar sigil.
