Dude… Tybalt was too cool on his own to be likened to something as corny as an angel. Come on! Show some respect, man!
Originally I was using the regular Tybalt attire with the halo but with the wing and dress sale I couldn’t resist!
Ahhh good, he’ll make a nice pelt for my necromancer’s study!
How dare you. I just came to share love :c
I kinda wanted to make a charr revenant guild, mist legion or w/e. I wonder if that already exists
You could make it now and see. You don’t have to rep or anything just to see if the name is there. Keep in mind you get 5 guilds. But sounds like a good idea, sadly I am playing a sylvari rev
Yeah it was taken, all the possible combinations of mist and legion I could think off haha
That me!

I contacted support about 2 weeks ago about a particular character on my account I couldn’t delete. They replied telling me to just try again later. Couple of patches later and I still can’t delete him nor have they deleted him for me. Sucks cause he’s just a name placeholder character I dont even want, he’s just saving up a name.
Do we have any expected fixes for this? I was told by support that this is a known issue that just happens.
and the trait Pulsating Pestilence
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pulsating_Pestilence
needs to gives us 4 sec resistance for each time it triggers or change the cd to 8 sec or make it transfer with a brust of 400 range
I think this one’s fine, but it would be nice if it gave resistance when traited for Demonic Defiance
The order is okay, although I find having two +150 ferocity traits in the same line dull and uninspired, I’d rather keep the aura one and scrap it for something new, specially considering assassin’s presence is objectively better than ferocious strikes in literaly every possible way.
Also, about dual weilding: I think vicious lacerations should affect any weapon, although now that they’re changing the attack speed to simply flat damage, which mace doesn’t benefit much from, I think lifestealing would be better in the sense that you can do flat damage on a condi weapon (I dont think flat damage is reduced by armor or protection, same way as condis). On the other hand devastation already has a couple of really solid lifesteal traits (and the actual reason I take this line in any build, even condis) that give healing signet like sustain with added damage, maybe adding even more lifesteal to the line is overkill. But yeah I think this trait should be looked at too.
Okay arena net, i'll re-roll a warrior.
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I’ve yet to see a warrior solo anything better than a guardian or ranger. And a good necromancer can decimate any warrior in PvP. But your call. Hope you find warrior to your liking.
Are you kidding me? Any good warrior kills me in PvP. They just CC me to death with their god kitten hammer. This will only be worse with this new specialization.
stability/stunbreak…
those hammer CC’s have very EASY tells (their animations are obvious)
Save your dodges. for when they start their CC rotation. Apply pressure to force them into popping their stances. Auto attack / kite away (don’t blow your burst / condi bomb rotation) while they are in their stances. Once stances are down. Continue your pressure rotation. Win.
Except then it comes the mindless passive stance procs, berserker “can’t die” trait, etc etc
People seem to forget there’s going to be more elite specs in the future. Which might be designed by differnet people. This aren’t the only ones we get, we’ll have another chance. Eles have NO right to complain, they’re basically the top profession in every game mode
Also this:
(I mean, who cares when you can pop a rifle F1 and do 6k damage on 5 targets + 3.5k damage on 25 targets + aoe burning on 25+ targets, and if they already had burning you also spread it with explosion trait up to 125 targets, and ONLY if they add the 5 targets limit, currently it’s not even limited. How to 1hit kill a zerk group: the class)
+the attached image: my reaction exacly
Since we’re all getting some fluff then on ele how about the ele turn into whatever element they are in. If I’m in Fire attunement then when I dodge I become engulfed in flames. If I’m in water I’m made of water etc..
Mesmer could have a blurry vision look
Rangers could be wrapped in leaves
Guardians glow white
How does turning into rock help you dodge? The rest of them work, but not that one. Maybe turn to sand/dust?
Mesmers already have the necessary visuals from their sword2 ability.
Guardians could be shielded by a blue/white energy bubble, kind of like a Super Smash Bros block.
Warriors and Rangers shouldn’t have anything fancy, since they’re about physical prowess, rather than magic or trickery.
And I have no ideas for Engineers. A flashbang grenade goes off? A puff of smoke?
Warriors and guardians already have visual ques on “on dodge” trait effects, adding stuff to the dodge itself, imo, would be too much unnecessary clutter.
Also I dont think ALL classes should have a unique animation really, it makes sense for thieves and revenants, but how would a ranger or engineer for example have anything special to dodge. Magic classes are easier to come up with but classes with such reliance on physical stuff doesn’t make much sense to have fluff on dodge.
I’m beffudled at the “you can’t die while berserking” trait
like
what the actual frig anet
It’s so blatantly obvious that warrior is their favorite profession and every single time I see Hugh on a stream I want to rip my eyes out. It’s literally “the class I made for myself so I never lose!”
Can’t have everything? “Lol of course I can I’m a warrior”
How do you counter this? -proceeds to completely doge the question and talk about how broken and op warriors are-
Everyone behind warriors is honestly quite a liability for this game’s balance
Smash brawler’s icon is Ridley or is that just me?
If it is, it’s quite ironic since it’s supposed to be a Smash Bros reference where Ridley isn’t actually a playable character. (Not that people haven’t requested it for years though)
I haven’t seen anyone talking about this but I’m rather curious about how/where will we get this. It’s pretty obvious it’s a profession themed armor, I wonder if we’ll get it with one of those reward tracks like the elite spec weapon/armor skins. (Which also just now made me realize, will those skins be free to apply? I hope they are!)
What do you guys think? Where do you want to see this awesome looking set come from? Challenging group content perhaps?
“We’re happy to announce gemstore dodge skins!”
Cool idea! I’ll think about it a bit and maybe try out some things.
If you dont mind me asking, who came up with thieves having a special dodge animation and why? It’s quite curious that this is unique to them I would like to know the thought process
Is Precognition some sort of future elite spec for revenants? :p
Honestly the only reason for me to ask for early access is simply cause we haven’t had any content in so long everything feels stale.

have fun :PI forgot that tool existed. I made some adjustments here and there http://imgur.com/a/QcNFF
Breaks stuns? More like stuns brakes.
I’d be right there with you if it wasn’t for reaper, man did that spec hit the right spot. And with the coming changes it’s gonna be even better.
What makes me love revenant so much I think is hammer, I just love hammers as weapons but for warriors they feel boring, and for guardian, half of their skills are kinda utility based and I end up just spamming auto attacks
It looks more like an arrow than an eye to me :P
“I used to be a warrior like you, but then I took an arrow to the eye.”
I’m sorry, I had to.
I absolutely fell in love with the idea of using the Tormented hammer along with Embrace the Darkness, funny enough it turned out to be the perfect combination for my playstyle in wvw so I built around that. Oh, yeah, I COULD post a screenshot, but I actualy took the time to draw my pretty charr rev~
It’s supposed to resemble a ‘third eye’, kind of like enlightenment, for revenant’s ability to to use these powers learned from historic legendary beings in the mists.
That explains it Thanks Roy!
It just kept bugging me cause I could tell what all the other icons were but this one.
What is it supposed to be? Is it like a crying eye? Reminds me of the Sheikah crest, but I don’t think that’s it
I’ll take a look at tweaking the sword AA animations to feel smoother.
Thats it! I now DEMAND for the next revenant specialization to be ROY!!!!
Legendary Dev Stance
Class mechanic: Forum understanding (each time a user gives a feedback Roy will activate a random Legendary Dev Stance skill without consuming energy)
Skill tipe: Shouts (but not loud).
Healing skill: “I’ve watched Wooden Potatoes” (lore understanding and Protection)
Utility skill #1: “Soon™” (aoe Super Speed 1 week later)
Utility skill #2: “When It’s Ready™” (aoe Quickness 2 weeks later)
Utility skill #3: “I’ll write a forum post after the show” (apply 25 stacks of Confusion for 1 day to a party member)
Elite skill: “CHOO CHOO” (summon an hype train with no brakes, giving infinite defiance bar)Still weak on condi cleanse.
http://tooltips.thatshaman.com/
have fun :P
Mallyx also doesn’t require corruption at all. The only reason you’d take it is to absolutely maximize resistance (selfishly)
Yes, it does. It’s so much stronger that way. It may be selfish but the longer you live the longer you can support your allies.
If you absolutely can’t live without it, and you’re going to die without it, then take it.
However, if you really need that much resistance up-time to survive as long as everyone else in your front-line party, something else is probably the problem.
Roaming, I wouldn’t hesitate to take it.
Didn’t say it was for frontlie, I actually played a glassy hammer build in the backline, sniping people with hammer 2 while helping my allies taking all their condis as often as I possibly could
The olny thing you can reflect on revenant atm is hammer 1 and jalis taunt – its sooo bad.
reflect […] jalis taunt
Really? Ahahahahahah. Oh it feels so bad to be Jalis right now.
Berserker is getting an 8s cd AOE taunt that probably can’t be even blocked and we have to spend 50 energy for that thing. Lol.
Of course I’m not asking for the same skill, every class is different, but really? 50 energy for a single target taunt that can be reflected?
Yes I had this happen to me in WvW once, I assure you, it is not fun.
For that energy cost that taunt should be unblockable to begin with
Mallyx also doesn’t require corruption at all. The only reason you’d take it is to absolutely maximize resistance (selfishly)
Yes, it does. It’s so much stronger that way. It may be selfish but the longer you live the longer you can support your allies.
The reason why I think that, is because there’s too much going on with the AA (which is something I really love, btw), so it’s quite hard to read where each damage tick comes from. You have cleaves, projectiles and delayed bursts all in one. I think players would feel more personal satisfaction and reward with the skill if they had the time to understand and digest all that while they watch it unfold.
This is my main problem with it. Combine that with multiple lifesteal procs and you have roughly 4 to 6 numbers pop up per strike
I’ll take a look at tweaking the sword AA animations to feel smoother.
I hate to repeat myself but I’d like to make sure that someone also looks at the third skill in the staff auto attack for charrs, please. That looks really weird, basically unfinished.
http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/
doesn’t have herald yet though
It has 1sec CD so it sounds more like you and your allies get 1 stack of might every time you give a boon
Bolster Fortifications is tuned purely for Ventari and his Tablet.
Tablet’s #6 skill moving the Tablet counts as Healing skill, which means it will proc
Protection every time.
Which means this is a terrible trait that should be in the salvation line to begin with
The first hit of the chain being a thrust is really awkward
One of the things I really enjoyed about revenant was that until shiro, all legends announced were non playable races. Don’t ask me why, but it kinda bothers me having Shiro simply because he’s a human, and channeling a human legend on say, a charr, feels weird. I hope they can balance it out in future specs now. I’d say Svanir would be an interesting one as well. And as some have proposed, even some recent characters like Tybalt or even Scarlet could be possible, I mean Glint only died a couple years prior to the game.
Yeah, it was more versatile before, but aside from Glint, none of the others have much versatility, so I guess that was what they wanted.
I’m actually worried that Revenant is going to be kind of painful to level. So many cool toys once we get access to Glint, but it would have been nice to have all that swiftness/fury/protection/etc while leveling.
Good point, I’m quite intrigued at how leveling is gonna work for revenant now that you mention it
Wait a sec. Legendswap 10s cd ooc, isn’t that a bit too much? I was expecting maybe 3. With 10 seconds it’s too punishing. IO ooc wasn’t even a big deal.
What do you need constant Legendswap OOC for anyway? If it is only for IO, well you don’t need that anymore, Glint has Perma AoE Swiftness.
I keep saying this is a bad change, even if you DID use impossible odds, super speed out of combat is the same as swiftness, there’s literally no advantadge of using this plus you could get caught w/o energy, which is probably good enough counterplay. This change while also giving their gap closer esentially infinite range makes no sense
The phase traversal changes look REALLY strong. Revenant will be inescapable in somewhat uncatchable in wvw (like a thief who teleports away to mobs). This skill is now the ultimate gap closer.
IMO they may have buffed it too much now, like you say revenants are gonna be uncatchable now, even for mesmers and thieves. I think a range increase on this skill would’ve sufficed, as it was working weird at max 1200 range when your target was moving, in the time you took to do that first weird flip they tended to be out of range already.
The hammers being projectiles doesn’t make any sense, aren’t they unblockable anyway? Can unblockable projectiles be reflected?
I’ll add one more question to that list, does legend swap still trigger weapon’s sigils?
It’s like with the ele’s attunement swaps or the engi’s kit swaps, so yes, I think legend swapping triggers weapon sigils.
Yes I can confirm it does, watched some videos and saw someone triggering geomancy through legend swapping, which considering we only have one condi weapon, is a very smart mechanic.
just a thought, but if you wanted to do condi rev, you could stick to mace as main hand and swap only the off hand. A rune that activates on swap would still function on the mace.
This would not be optimal, running double mace/axe would, as it would allow you to proc twice as much on swap sigils as other classes.
Allow me to explain the reasoning behind this. In it’s current state, both swapping legends and swapping weapons procs on weapon swap sigils, this may not sound as that big of a deal, but it actually is. This means that you are using those weapon swap sigils twice as effective as any other profession (except for warrior, but even warriors have to get a trait for it). The easiest way to manage your on swap sigils would be swapping weapons right after you swap legends. Let me give you an example of how it works. My sigils are Hydromancy/leeching and Geomancy/energy. Once I enter combat I can legend swap right away, proccing my hydromancy and leeching with my legend swap right away, I can then immediately afterwards swap weapons to also get the second set of on swap sigils to proc (the geomancy and the energy sigil). This gives you some nice burst, and allows you to effectively use these on swap sigils on the 9 seconds of cooldown they have, instead of the 18 seconds cooldown most classes have to deal with. This is why I take 4 on swap sigils. One thing to note is that you can’t always leave the legend you’re currently in on a set time, you shouldn’t go out of Mallyx when still dealing with lots of condis, or out of Shiro when chasing someone, so that’s when you can just use the weaponswap seperately, but you’ll have to track the cooldown and delay the legend swap until your weaponswap is off cooldown again. Both weaponsets are condition based in this build. This is what I also do in the videos I linked above.
This was specifically for PvE, in which case the “dealing with lots of condis or chasing down someone” scenarios just dont happen, you shouldn’t have much of a problem swapping your legends on CD
Revenant shield isn’t even good really. Engie’s however, man I’d kill to get that on revenant.
Pretty sure it won’t heal if you have resistance, same way as warrior’s defiant stance doesn’t heal if you have endure pain. If I recall correctly they mentioned wanting this kind of interaction so warriors wouldn’t just mindlessly spam all their stances (as they usualy do)
I’ll add one more question to that list, does legend swap still trigger weapon’s sigils?
It’s like with the ele’s attunement swaps or the engi’s kit swaps, so yes, I think legend swapping triggers weapon sigils.

just a thought, but if you wanted to do condi rev, you could stick to mace as main hand and swap only the off hand. A rune that activates on swap would still function on the mace.
Yes you can also do that, but there’s no point considering we already have legend swap triggers, and now we get to have an off set for range for example, in case we need it, or staff for some healing, even sword I guess if you wanted to stack vuln
BTW I forget to nation that you really have to add a CD on Pain Absorption, you can go for nearly pertma resistance. (Okay you can’t spent energy on something else then, but still perma resistance!)
Imo this is good, it gives Revs a very strong defined role in wvw, while at the same time not letting them do anything else if they do decide to spam the resistance. Also considering they’re one of the few classes who can give resistance to allies it feels like a fair trade
Since so many are asking for condi cleanse I’m sure it will be considered. Shiro+Glint has none.
Revenant as a whole is designed to not have much condition cleanse. That’s not to say there won’t be any tweaks for removal, but it won’t be any large changes. can’t have everything.
Something would be great ahah
At least to make powerbuilds viable on pve. There is Jalis, Ventari, and Staff.
All of which are not optimal for max dps. I don’t think there is a single other class that has to sacrifice damage for a condi cleanse. Unlike other classes, Rev doesn’t have the ability to freely choose its heals and utilities. You are stuck with an entire legend and all of its utilities, whether you want them or not.
+1 this
Because weaknesses what are those right? I dont think you should have it all and I agree with Roy here in having Revenants weak to condis, they can already have a pretty hefty uptime of resistance with just one trait. If you spec going hard for damage why shuould you have condi cleanses. If you want them, sacrifice something for it.
I’ll add one more question to that list, does legend swap still trigger weapon’s sigils?

Lol you young’uns. Reaper is the king of self might and vuln stacking hands down, not even a discussion here.
