Casual is having housing, huge wardrobe (we’re talking a wardrobe now not a transmog knockoff), minigames like farming/fishing, mounts, pet taming to become mounts, etc etc….

If you go to a doctor with, say, a stomach ache, do you expect the doctor to cut you open to see what is causing the problem? Obviously not! He would diagnose you externally first to see what the root cause of the problem might be before he decides to cut you open.

I believe this to be the same case here.

That’s actually not entirely correct. His ritual for cleansing Orr is still in effect. It’ll just take time until Orr is fully cleansed. So he IS fixing and changing Orr.

The issue is that later on the writing puts much more focus on Trahearne’s Wild Hunt and not our own ‘destiny’ to defeat Zhaitan. I also didn’t feel quite so much that I was a commander while playing the last chapters.

Not sure why you feel there is more focus on Trahearne’s Wyld Hunt which is actually about cleansing Orr and not defeating Zhaitan. It is OUR objective as heroes of Tyria to defeat Zhaitan which is what the personal story and writing is really about.

Mine was furious at Mordremoth that it completely missed Kasmeer after I gave it very specific instructions that I’d lure her to a spot marked by an X on the map I mailed it using in-game mail which is where it would shoot its vines out of the ground and finally rid us of this whiney mushy lovey-dovey excuse for a noble. Told it to move to Kryta to get a better aim but it was like “Oh no good sir, I can totally nail that kitten all the way from the Maguuma”.

I think you’re jumping the gun here. One episode of no Braham and Rox doesn’t mean they have been sidelined completely. The last episode had a very pivotal moment for Marjory and that’s why Marjory and Kasmeer were the focus. It would have been weird to take away from that because people would start complaining about the lack of dialogue with them given what had happened.

Btw, if you have seen the trailer for the next episode, you’ll notice that Marjory and Kasmeer are missing and Braham and Rox are the focus.

They’re really getting into gear with the new season. Every episode this season is somehow managing to top the previous one.

I believe we have a ED vs ED battle coming up. According to a recent interview with ANET (see https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/lore/lore/New-lore-interview-to-Anet-lore-team/first#post4227196), they stated:

“the dragons are separated by enough distance and their wake times are staggered such that they are able to sustain themselves and return to their more dormant state without having to battle each other for the magical resources they consume.”

2 key points here are distance between the dragons and time of awakening. Both of these cases have been skewed by Mordremoth. Mordremoth woke up earlier than the usual 50 year gap AND it is not restricted to just Maguuma (its vines spreading to places far beyond Maguuma).

My guess is Mordremoth will step on some other dragon’s toes and we will end up having an ED vs ED battle (perhaps Kralkatorrik seeing as how Living Story is headed to Ascalon now). Was this what Scarlet planned when she forcefully woke up Mordremoth? Is this what she meant when she told Caithe that Tyria would need Scarlet? Having an ED take out another ED, or at least weaken them this way so it would be easy for us to destroy them?

Humans, I agree should have been the focus with Zhaitan and Orr. Should’ve gotten some backup from the Gods seeing as how we were fighting for THEIR home on Tyria. They could’ve made the story so much more interesting.

Additionally, the Inquest had been conducting experiments structured around the presumption of six Elder Dragons for a while, indicating they had some prior knowledge of it. "

So we simply have to go with the assumption that these ancient texts actually included the dragon’s name and that behind the scenes the PC and the biconics did their homework on Mordremoth by looking up these texts.

Would’ve been nice if there was a quest where we look up info on the dragon in, say, the Priory archives like how we rummaged through Scarlet’s texts. Still, no biggie. I can live with this

The PC and the biconics randomly started referring to the newly awakened dragon as Mordremoth, but was it ever shown how or where they learned the dragon’s name?

At the end of season 1, everyone went, “Did you hear that? That was the roar of a dragon!” and suddenly in season 2 “We need to take down Mordremoth!”

While theorycrafting is okay, having that little solid informations can be annoying and hard to believe it was planned.

Couldn’t agree more. That is one thing that has always bugged me too. Having pieces of lore written down, whether in-game or out-of-game, would be so much better. It’s not like GW2 is lacking in lore.

Do you know what underspeeding is? It’s when you get ticketed for driving under the posted speed limit. People underspeeding are a hazard to everyone around them because they aren’t behaving as is expected of them.

Your PC is not behaving as is expected of it in a PvP match. If you can’t keep up with the rest around you, you are an annoyance to others and need to be removed. You need to fix your problems before pointing the blame to others. I see no issue with ANET’s design here.

Good luck to new players trying to find people to group with. I won’t be buying old content, but if I had access to it I would be happy to help others, going through it for the first time. You don’t need access to the living story to party with and help other people that do have access to it.

That’s not the map of Realm of Torment. Although it looks remarkably similar, it is actually a map of Tyria according to the biconics in game.

Never believed such incessant whining was actually possible…

Assuming Disease would infect all races equally, that is, you can catch Disease from race different from yours, this would work as a great anti-zerg mechanism. ANET should definitely look into this at the very least. Great idea OP!

This sounds frustrating indeed. A temporary workaround to this problem would be to send more than 1 potion to your two party members. Those two party members can then further forward your potions to the remaining party members.

Not what you were looking for but at least this way you can ensure everyone in your party has what they need.
