Okay so I wasn’t going crazy. They did change the soundtrack in LA they’re both really beautiful.
The game update page has all times listed in UTC. Not sure why people are still confused.
Can I get a big hell yeah for this feature!??
P.S Interesting… hell isn’t censored…
Crazy idea!! Love it!
You’re right. I have not visited the EotN since the game first came out. The only reason I went there was because I was curious. After that I never saw a reason to go back there.
The EotN should be overhauled!
why 3 pages of repeating posts?
It’s repeating because people keep following what the OP is doing: repeating the same thing over and over and dodging pertinent questions.
Does it have more rewarding end game content
Define rewarding.
So let me rephrase my question: Where is the level 80 high level rewarding content
Define rewarding.
That’s the 5th time Tobias has asked this question and 3 pages into this thread Arwen still hasn’t answered it. Why do you keep dodging this question Arwen?
Tengu confirmed! Btw nice photoshopping skills.
Disappearing nodes? That’s a first. I thought nodes don’t change locations now until you re-enter the map. If you stay in the map, the nodes should remain visible and where they are until you mine them.
I have no interest of unlocking the13th trait in any of characters with or without golds
Well if you really want to miss out on making interesting new builds, by all means, do not get the 13th trait. Play how you want!
Why can’t Warriors/Rangers/Guardians/Necromancer/Mesmers/Thieves get a out of combat weapon slot too? Why should engineers and Elementalist be the special snowflake?
If you bothered to read some of the other posts, you’ll notice that the OOC swap is being asked for in general. The one’s voicing their concerns for OOC swapping happen to be eles and engis.
As an engineer main and also an ele player, I see no need for this, out of combat or not.
Good on ya mate. When this functionality gets introduced, please make it a point to not use it then. In the meantime, don’t get in the way of others that want it.
Why?! Answer them! Whyyyy!?
I doubt Eles and Engis care if everyone else has this ability as well. This isn’t a race to get our favourite class to the top by giving them fancy little features like this. This is being asked specifically by eles and engis only because they feel the lack of OOC swap affects them most.
OOC weapon swaps for all!
There was another thread a little while back asking for the same. My response will be the same too. ANET needs to make this happen! +1’d
What level of Fractals are you doing? Levels 1-9 are a joke, yes. Perhaps try some of the higher levels?
What content in GW1 was “high level end game rewarding content” according to you? Do dungeons and fractals in GW2 not count as end game content?
Oh snap! Maybe it’s just me but sometimes it’s hard to understand what to take seriously and what not to. There have been random NPC dialogues in game that I thought were “ah they’re just rambling on about random stuff that has no impact on anything whatsoever”, but turns out it’s an important part of the GW2 lore (can’t remember any specific dialogues atm).
At other times, like Rox mentioning Destiny’s Orphans, I thought “naah, maybe I should stop thinking like that. This is their name now.” but turns out it isn’t.
The main reason that’s not their name is because that line was never actually used in-game. It was data-mined and talked about on Reddit, but the in-game conversation that was actually used in the Dead End didn’t include that line.
No it was actually mentioned in game by Rox. It wasn’t data mined. See below.
It was playfully mentioned in a scene between Rox and Kasmeer, but it’s not their official name.

They’re actually known as Destiny’s Orphans.
Actually, no they aren’t. That was scrapped (read: never came to canon) dialogue. Just like Arachnia or Abaddon’s Dead Children, it holds no weight in the canon story.
Confirmed: “Destiny’s Orphans” is not the official name of the adventuring group that includes Rox, Braham, Taimi, Marjory, and Kasmeer.

Anyway, I thought Destiny’s Orphans was a cool name. It was a definite nod to Destiny’s Edge, a legendary guild that really hasn’t received much recognition in game given their deeds. So when Rox suggested they be called Destiny’s Orphans, I thought it was really cool that they wanted to emulate and become these legendary heroes they look up to.
Sounds cool. Not sure how immersion breaking it would be to have a zerg of Charr Legionnaires running around, or human “Hand of the Queen”s, or Sylvari Dreamer/Warden etc.
ANET is probably okay with this considering we already have titles like “Hero of Lion’s Arch”, and therefore a zerg of such Heroes already exists :P
I wouldn’t mind seeing this feature in game! You have my vote!
And how are people supposed to see what’s in the bank if they only have permission?
That’s like going to your local bank, asking for access to the vault, and then crying about how the bank let loose their security guards and hounds on you…
What’s interesting is if the Jade Sea indeed is thawing (or melting), what happens to all the jade that has already been mined out of there and possibly sold to merchants all over the world? Does that start melting too? Can the Luxons get in trouble for essentially selling everyone just plain old seawater?
The statue of the Jade Fish that the Zephyrites had… will that melt into water too? What’s stopping this from happening?
They’re actually known as Destiny’s Orphans.
People will complain about anything and everything these days…
People are allowed to complain about things that annoy them without fear of being ridiculed by strangers on the internet.
Sure they’re allowed to, but that still won’t stop other people from ridiculing them :P
Btw, the game already has an anti-AFK feature in place. It gives you a number of warnings about your inactivity before it kicks you out. I’ve noticed this system kicks into gear if you’re on an active map. On a dead map it looks like you can AFK all you want.
Agreed with point 1 only.
2. Disagree. You can’t force someone to not be Away From Keyboard (weird how eh eff kay is being censored).
3. Disagree. This will actually encourage rampant farming.

LOL! Good to see everyones creative juices flowing.
Still waiting on someone to provide a link to source saying this was nerfed…
I’m running out of colourful ways to say no to every mount thread there is…
Soooooo where does it say this was nerfed… ?
Where does it say this was nerfed?
Sounds more like functionality that lets you convert useless boosters to something else you might find more useful. For example, if you have tonnes of experience boosters wished they were crafting boosters instead (because you love crafting so much), you can convert them.
I could be wrong…
Can you please provide a link to the source confirming there will be new legendaries?
dude why didnt you say it was their last chance earlier? im sure they wouldve done something if only you issued that warning earlier?
Yeah, then we wouldn’t have had to suffer through one year of “temporary” content… jeez!
How do you explain the Marionette continuously attacking once every 2 hours for 4 weeks, after being defeated multiple times. These events should occur one time and one time only. Also do not tell anyone what the event start times will be. That needs to be random as well, because……. real life.
The “permanent content” I’m talking about isn’t this LS stuff. I’m talking about multiple new zones (Crystal Desert, Fire Islands, Cantha?), new dungeons, dungeon gear, new skills, new race, new weapons, new weapons skins (that AREN’T for sale in the Gem Shop.) If content is added to the game, I want to be able to play it again a year or two from now if I want to. If my son is born and I have no time at all to play any type of video game, I’d like to be able to catch up on things I’ve missed, just like I can with other MMOs. Of course, zerg events like the Wurms and Marionette can’t be done solo unless they scale everything down and add in AI to help you with the fights. If the LS is the way they are going to continuously add the illusion of new content, then I’m out I guess. Changes to existing zones via a 2 week long event isn’t really “adding new content” in my book. Especially since it takes away old content.
What happens to these new zones after they are added and months down the line people stop going there? Do you leave them in game as dead zones? Do you remove them? Is there something you’d do differently?
This is just typical behavior in games without subscription fees, have you ever visited the League of Legends forums?
I’m assuming there’s more whining there because more children play LoL . Grownups don’t whine, they provide feedback.
Grownups don’t whine?
If you are having trouble differentiating between the two, may I recommend a large amount of time passing before you read my statement again?
(edited by Vesuvius.9874)
Can someone answer me this?
Take a piece of temporary content. Let’s say the Marionette. During the point in time when these events were taking place, we fought the Marionette in Lornar’s Pass. Time passes, say 2 months later, we beat Scarlet.
You decide to go back to Lornar’s Pass. What are you expecting to see in Lornar’s Pass?If you are one of those whining about “permanent content” and are expecting the Marionette to still be there, how would you explain its existence even though you have killed its master, Scarlet? Also, how do you explain what time you are in? Does going back to Lornar’s Pass mean you’ve suddenly moved 2 months back in time?
The whole idea of Living World is that time is constantly moving forward like in the real world. Events are happening everywhere and you need to be there when it happens to experience it.
People complaining about missing events is like complaining about "Ah crap! I missed World War 1 and 2 because I wasn’t born yet. Ok everyone, we need to get everyone together and fight two more wars because a lot of people “missed” it… "

Watch people still complain about it. omg its so far away blah blah QQ…
I for one am excited!
Perhaps if you delete characters it removes their time from your counter.
I was thinking the same thing, but then I realized that the “across all characters” duration is the sum of the duration on all existing characters, in which case the sum should be at least as much as the duration on the current character.
This really is perplexing…
Unless they’re doing something weird like polling the total duration across all characters at set intervals of time only rather than show it on demand. That would definitely cause a difference to exist. Not sure why they’d do that though :S

The “gap” between the buy and sell prices is called a spread. It’s only natural for it occur in any form of currency exchange (even in a virtual world like GW2).
CoE I think is the worst.. its usually always contested and the event usually takes like 30min to open it. One time i joined a pug, wasted 30min to do the event and when we’re halfway through p1 I realize they’re all noobs. We end up wiping and the party disbands.. huge waste of time. pls remove contested dungeons or at least do something about kittenin megaserver. the entire party is usually stuck in the same map, and its almost always contested when i join.
Your party disbanding was megaserver’s fault how exactly…?
This is a very interesting find. It’s obvious they are looking to improving the existing AI. If ANET pulls this off correctly, the new AI could spell the end of zerging and stacking in dungeons.
They read the forums but probably only for objective criticisms, not the ‘Bye GW2’ threads
This^ They’ve also stated that pretty clearly that if people want themselves heard, stop QQing and start providing constructive criticism. They didn’t become a multi-million dollar company by making their player base miserable. The fact that this game exists means they’re doing something right.
If people want things they’d like to see in game, they need to listen to what ANET is saying (about constructive feedback). It’s only fair that they will listen to you then.
Naah on the contrary I think this was the perfect time. It’s almost as if they were waiting for the weekend to roll by so more people would join in.
Kessex hills is good to get champs – the Toxic Spider Queen spawns often enough and near the Alchemist, that there’s no need for a CPH (Champs Per Hour) run in circles – you just go as often as someone shouts a champ, and because it’s not CPH based, nobody gets irate in map chat when a champ is killed.
Trying to set things in an order is not guaranteed, so should not be heavily relied upon anyway, and that’s why the Champ Train in QD had to go, because it was made ‘a rule’ that it should be done this way or that way, and other players were wrong because it was messing up the “correct” order of things. There is no order to the champs in Kessex, and that’s better for everyone.
My opinion of course.
^^^^Agreed.
They buffed the rewards for Crown Pavilion!
Zergs, unite!

Festival Rewards Vendors now sell two additional items:

Increased the number of Festival Tokens from 15-21 to 40.

Aren’t you that guy that keeps posting quitting threads?
LOL!
I was going to suggest unicorns but then the only people who could ride them would have to be a virgin. I guess they wouldn’t be a hot seller.
But if you are playing GW2, doesn’t that mean you’re a… errr, never mind :P
On topic though, nice try OP. I think ANET hates mounts in GW2 more than your money.
