Dragon painted in Scarlet's Secret Lair
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath

After finishing the LW that just released, you’ll discover it means spoilers nothing.
This plot element is dropped and forgotten like the majority of them. Have fun with the ending, hope loose ends are your thing!
Uh actually it means a lot. Did you not pay attention?
After I was given the option to enter the purple portal machine that requires the blade back-piece, I was shown a window that warns me of this. Is there something I should do first? A guildy claims she didn’t get this warning.
The key story moment is when you fight Scarlet with the zerg in LA. Aka when you kill all 3 assault knights and get all 3 buffs.
Primordus or Mordremoth, I think it’s safe to say a lot of people have been predicting a dragon for a very long time. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad we’ve come back to the original plot and I hope it goes somewhere exciting. It just wasn’t exactly a twist.
Uh it’s definitely not Primordus. Primordus is still in an all out war with the Dwarves, he wasn’t sleeping. Actually Primordus was the first dragon to awaken well before the events of GW2 (last expansion of GW1 was when he awoke).
Here’s my engi sporting the Predator with the ascended backpiece. Too bad it disappears when swapping kits.
Stopped at “condition side”.
Don’t use condition builds in pve, seriously.
Unless your engi is using rampagers gear I really don’t like conditions in pve because it makes the fights last a lot longer than they need to be.
pistol auto is really good. there’s no need for it to proc more bleeding and stack vuln. that’s just stupid.
Um… pistol auto is one of the worst autoattacks in the game.
No, just like how pretty much every class can’t get their starter gear in pvp either (Mesmer, Thief, Ele, Necro headgear, guard pauldrons.
That’s because the Elixir Gun’s skills are NOT elixir skills regardless of what the tooltip on them says. When 409 says elixirs skills it means your utilities, elite, and healing skill and the toolbelt skills associated with them.
The toolbelt skills arent effected by either trait.
Also, the elixir gun skills 4 and 5 both state that you “throw an elixir” or “shoot elixir” so yes they are also elixirs.
409 does affect the toolbelt skills of elixirs. Have you even used it?

Yeah I noticed that anet changed it long ago so that using a BLSK yields WAY less ectos than it did before. I rarely ever get 3 ectos from 1 salvage and even with 25 BLSK uses I probably only get like less than 20 ectos.
Trin’s End is a boss fractal. All boss fractals will slap you with 7 seconds of agony at the beginning of the fight.
When you pick up a turret the cooldown is reduced (Healing turet by 5 sec, rifle turret by 5 sec, I forget the rest).
It’s a mix between making engis better and worse. This upcoming patch is taking away a lot of build diversity (specifically the explosives trait line) simply because all the adept tier traits will be practically worthless. On the other hand back pieces are a far larger obstacle than people seem to make them out as. If they remove hobosacks then the enemy would have a harder time distinguishing you. At the same time if they decided to have back pieces overwrite hobosacks they would have to do some very major design changes to make sure that each kit stands out (kinda) rather than just holding X weapon in your hand (wrench, grenade, blah blah).
This doesn’t belong in the dungeon sub-section but the answer is yes, the skin will be lost because the item (backpiece, any backpiece that can be upgraded I might add) is considered an ingredient and therefore it will not take into account any skins on it because it will create a brand new item all together.
Certain bosses I feel target certain classes.
For example in CoE, the golem boss with the 4 buff turrets will primarily target medium armor classes. Whether I’m using my ranger or engi I will always get targetted.
-Bad Guardians
-Ranged Rangers (longbow and shortbow are you worst dps (but better than mh axe), pls stop.)
-People that join and don’t say they’re new to the dungeon
-People that don’t read the LFG posting
-People that join speed runs but clearly don’t have enough experience (which is shown by them getting lost) and slow down the run significantly
-Guardians that don’t slot reflects or projectile blocks (WoR and SotA) in dungeons that are heavy in projectiles (SE 1 and 3 and boy does that kitten me off. It’s the only reason why I run guardian in ALL dungeons now because I can only rely on myself 80% of the time).
-Mesmers that only camp greatsword and pew pew from a distance
-Full signet anything (rangers, warriors, elementalists, guardians). The only class I will accept with full signets is thief because they don’t have team support skills. Rangers do, Guards sure as hell do, Warriors sure as hell do too.
-Condition builds. Please go power… I don’t care if you’re using knight’s armor with zerker trinkets the damage you’ll do will exceed what your crappy conditions will do.
Mine wasn’t warped like that pre-patch. Maybe it had to do with whatever physique you chose?
I think you have those colors mixed up.
With the fractal updates coming out, don’t bother just yet until we figure out exactly what anet is changing with agony infusions.
Also those infusions are near worthless for the price they require. Just get normal +5 agony if you need it but again wait until Tuesday when the Fractals patch comes out.
I do think that they should have discussed it better to all off us They should have said that they where planning on this several (2?) weeks ago. Maybe someone had a better solution? atleast discussing it openly with us like the skillchanges for december instead off just giving us an announcement one week ahead off time is indeed a slap i nthe face.
Considering that they had done this to dungeons long ago… we had all already assumed they would do so for fractals as well. Besides they did actually tell us they would do this. After they changed the dungeon rewards they said they would eventually make it so Fractals also give you gold just like dungeons (which also meant we could expect the dungeon changes to leak into Fractals too).
They need to reduce the cast time of it. 1 second to cast time when an elementalist in Earth attunement can cast unsteady ground which now does the exact same thing in 1/4th of a second.
30/0/0/10/30 used to be the best but once they moved Empowered Allies to master tier it kinda fell apart. 30/25/0/0/15 is better (mostly because you cannot count on pugs to stack might).
The Rox and Braham conversation you have screenshots of was a bug that Anet refused to fix. If you had did the Molten Alliance crap they were supposed to acknowledge your character but Anet never fixed the dialogue so it seemed like they didn’t even know who you are.
I don’t think I did it ASAP, but I can’t really remember to be honest. I believe I waited a day or two.
I believe I opened the chest, but it never showed up in my bag. I assumed that it was an issue that would be hammered out and that I’d receive it since I had the achievement completed in my achievement log, but it never showed up and no message from ANet, so… I figured I’d post about it.
You couldn’t have “waited a day or two” because Mad King says was only on Halloween. It was a 1 day thing. So either you did it or you missed it.
The bottom picture is definitely the Molten Facility. It’s the area where you fight the Molten Berserker and Molten Firestorm.
Quickness increases the attack speed of anything, that includes channeled skills.
I crafted There With Yakkington after the patch hit (like a month or so afterwards), you double click it to change your stats just like all the other MF gear post patch.
It’s really the only way to get back items with stats not available anywhere else (celestial, assassin, carrion, etc. etc.)
How do you have so much dragonite ore… I barely get 150 a day
Getting real tired of running into warriors using 5 signets. 3 signets is about as far as I would say you can go (healing signet, signet of rage, xx signet unless every utility is possibly taken (2 banners) then I would say you can have 4 signets but for the love of god ALWAYS bring For Great Justice.
Also running into less and less warriors actually using banners. Not everyone who plays games are as serious as you are. Some people just like to play however they want. " Getting real tired of running into warriors using 5 sigs" rofl. You may have a problem if this is what gets you “REAL TIRED”..
Kittn off man, get over yourself.. seriously. The same goes for everyone else who complains how other people play ,,,, wait for it,,,, wait for it,,,, IT IS A GAME!
Play how you want? Ok I’ll go naked bearbow at 1500 range with 3 signets and never revive anyone. It’s how I want it play right? Don’t be an idiot. There’s “play how you want” and then there’s being useless. A warrior bringing 5 signets doesn’t bring anything for the party other than their own damage. Wow gj your signets are 10 points higher than the banners and only apply to yourself thanks adding to the group’s overall effectiveness.
So why is there so much less activity seemingly on the official LFG tool than there was on the gw2lfg website? Is it BETA still meaning not everyone uses this or do we not see everyones as the lfg servers are split etc? Seemingly some groups take longer to form. The website was way more accurate for me
Funny that you say that because ever since the LFG tool came out, GW2LFG is nearly dead. I checked GW2LFG once or twice and there were maybe at most 6 listings. The only reason the official lfg looks dead is because people join the groups instantly so you no longer have listings that are 20 minutes old because the creator didn’t delete it from the website.

No it’s not Abaddon.
I never said it was Abaddon. But who’s to say this hybrid thing (hybrid of what exactly) isn’t somehow related or something?
Hmmm Toxic Hybrid maybe gives a clue and the body style as well? (Krait and more of that Toxic spore crap)
30/25/0/15/0 or 20/25/0/25/0. Both full zerker with scholar runes, sword/warhorn with shortbow/offhand dagger/offhand axe on weapon swap (depending on the situation).
Utilities: healing spring or troll unguent, quickening zephyr, frost spirit, ’sic em, and for 99% of everything rampage as one.
Pets: Jaguar and Jungle Stalker.
30/25/0/15/0

No it’s not Abaddon.
Huh? I’ve skipped the bridge every single time post-patch. The crabs are rng in their path sometimes they’ll be there but 90% of the time they won’t.

For the 3rd time, dailies.
Since you say you use sword/focus most often I suggest running 10/30/0/10/20 with either knight’s armor and zerker trinkets or full zerker.
If you don’t primarily run sw/f then you can change that to 10/25/0/10/25
I would never suggest running shield for anything in pve unless you absolutely need that projectile block (on a long cooldown). Otherwise you have your wall of reflection and shield of the avenger which takes care of projectiles.
Dailies. That is all.
Feel like…. they could’ve done it faster/been more efficient (ie use the jungle stalker for 5 might stacks/more DPS than a fury moa when you already had fury)… And used RaO a bit earlier….
I get why they used RaO so late, the stability to counter lupi’s 3rd phase but yeah they could’ve activated it earlier. Some of the rangers already had jungle stalkers out though.
Hoof-hop alliance! Bahahahaha that’s great.
That said, I doubt Scarlet has anything to do with this. The Nightmare Court probably loathe Scarlet as much as she loathes them. I do like this living story so far, but yes, I’d enjoy seeing stories more based in Guild Wars 1’s lore.
It’s very clearly Scarlet’s doing https://d3b4yo2b5lbfy.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/9af5a11-12_NextHero_EN.jpg
In the background is a Champion Toxic Hybrid (some krait/nightmare court hybrid) only reason why I know the name is because there’s a datamined mini that was found with it.
This very clever use of game mechanics and inspirational, that bonfire+callofthewild, shared anguish to skip a knockback, reflection on axe 5 for the “why you hitting yoursfelf?” And RAO puts the stability icing on the cake… what’s with all the embers though?

Highly underutilized as they do tons of damage + fire fields EVERYWHERE.
How does trickster armor look like it was made for sylvari? It’s literally leather and feathers on the shoulders and gloves.
Nope. It’s solo only, which is…frustrating. It’s the second instance I’ve quit in aggravation since starting to play the game.
You quit the intro instance out of frustration? Do you get everything hand fed to you or something? The intro instance was such a cake walk it wasn’t even funny. The “champion” at the end goes down like a weak veteran.
Oh I see you’re newish to the game then that makes a much larger difference.
Not bugged. It’s telling you the total healing it would give over the amount of time the buff stays activate. (e.g. if it says 3s then it’ll give the total healing for 3s aka 120×3)
The second part not so sure about.
Because perma boons.
Berserker with scholar runes will always be better than assassin’s with scholar runes because of the power coefficient. Berserker itself is slightly better than assassin’s gear anyways.
At any rate you want to use wall of reflect anywhere where projectiles become a problem (I almost always use it in CoE ice elementals [that v-shaped ice attack they do can be reflected back at them and oh boy does it wreck their face…], CoE golem when he starts charging up his eye attack, AC spiders, TA spiders, almost everything in Arah, a LOT of stuff in SE, etc. etc.)
Weapon swapping is extremely important when the timing is correct, if you just switch all willy nilly because stuff is on CD then it’s pretty dumb (you want to almost always stick to sword/focus because the autoattack will out dps your GS fairly quickly but when you need to quickly burst switch back to GS for whirling wrath). I use 10/25/0/10/25 mostly because that extra 15% crit chance with the 1h sword isn’t really needed all that mcuh, it’s nice to have yeah but I’d rather have an extra boost in damage from having boons on me.
Oh and if you get downed by the icebrood dogs in CoE don’t be discouraged, they hit like a kittening 30 megaton train.
But in general for utilities I run Shelter for healing (prayer to dwayna if you’re a human), Hold the Line (for protection and regen, if regen is already being applied replace this with something else), Retreat (if I need the extra aegis block), wall of reflection (if I need to reflect stuff), shield of the avenger (if projectiles are a very big problem or if blocking projectiles benefits your group in the fight e.g. the golem boss in CoE), purging flames (if conditions are rampant), smite condition (if boss applies minor conditions and also for that extra damage), Stand your Ground (if you need stability), Hallowed Ground (if you need a long lasting stability skill).
For weapons I primarily run sword/focus and staff. Most of the time i forget to switch my staff so it just stays but other weapons I use are scepter for ranged, greatsword for dps, hammer for dps but also for the protection to mitigate some damage at melee range. I never use the shield or torch.

No. /15 chars
Definitely nightmare court. Look at the vines/roots coming from the tower.
I don’t follow? How is having a spot to gain a Skill Point Daily (which you need for recipes) or use to charge Quartz Crystals (which you need for crafting) in a convenient spot a bad thing?
Now instead of mining the quartz and WP to a Skill Point you know of, it’s all right there for you. That’s a quality of life upgrade I’m more than happy to achieve.
Perhaps I’m just pleased with the simple things……
Because if you needed skill points you could literally run CoF p1 in 7 minutes and get a skillpoint nearly everytime.
