The frost spirit can help necro with “field control”
It actually won’t though. Changing frost spirit to a ice field that will just result in frost spirit being removed from the druid build and replaced with some other utility (likely glyph of empowerment)
Nobody is going to run a trait just for helping a necro when you can just replace the necro. Moreover a immobile field is largely pointless on anything except maybe cairn and Sabetha.
Spirits field I’ve suggested it’s baseline and not trait related and don’t remove the powerful passive, so I don’t think that will be dumped, and the field’s size it’s like the spirit hitbox, so they don’t override others field easily.
So you think condi thief needs a 7% buff? One of the top dps builds in the game doesn’t need any more buffs.
Well, with my spirits suggestion isn’t like other condi classes can’t gain benefits.
The sun spirit passive can raise dps of condi engi/ranger/warrior/necro more than thief
The frost spirit can help necro with “field control”
Ther’s no poison field to help the whirling condi thief, so..
-Make infinite one with huge karma cost.

Necromancer – greatly increase all sources of life siphon’s damage (not heal, damage.. dark field’s finishers in primis)
Ranger – Spirits count as very small living field, reduced duration of spirits to 40 sec:

When condi builds are stacked they gain massive bonus from the active effects of Virtue of Justice.
And it’s a smart thing to use it on downed thanks to Renewed Justice trait.
People should think about condi like poison:
if it’s strong or not traeated even a very small dose can kill

If someone dies to a joke of a skill like Killshot, they’re not worth playing against in the first place.
Signet of Might is worthless against evades and blinds. and it has a significant “This guy can go unblockable” icon.
Saying that Signet of Might is worthless against evade and blind its like saying that the heal skill it’s worthless cause you start at full hp.
Do shroud trait skills work for reaper?
Yes
ALL their ranged attacks are projectiles (With clear precasts).
I always laugh when a mesmer pop it’s Echo of Memory while see the Kill Shot coming.. to die when i use Signet of Might.
Yeah, Arc Divider is probably bullkitten, but you can see it coming when they whip out that huge sword.
If someone dodge everything damaging just cc-it to death.
With discipline we can also swap weapon pretty fast to not beign locked into a weapon set for long time, and doing so we regain 5 adrenaline, to easily use a berseeker burst.
If the opponent isn’t a daredevil it must pop it’s defensive cd, and we just have to dodge control like moa with GS evade or block it with mace or shield.
If they block we can just use the Signet of Might (i love that signet) and if go into invuln.. it can’t harm you

Battle of kyhlo: Just forget the treb altogether. Tell your team if the enemy trebs just rotate to far and close hopefully in a 2v2 and a 3v2 whilst the enemy wastes their player on the treb.
When I sit on the treb i ask to my mates to call focus.. and we win 1+treb vs 3 at far pretty often.
But I agree that treb can be cancerous..

Maybe it can work if they make the boss breakbar giving immunity to boon removal but not on boon corruption.
Its the last trait in beserker line that gives stability and a break stun.
It’s stability+might on stun break, and while you are in berserk it’s pulsing stability.
@OP if someone can corrupt at 100% your stability (like 3 necros).. don’t enter berserker mode if you have Eternal Champion.

your suggestion of reintroducing the condi cap would kill condi necro on the spot.
And I know it’s WvW necro salt because WvW’ers are the only people suggest condi nerfs in this meta.
you need to think outside of 1 gamee mode no it would not kill necro if the max condis you could have on someone are 30 stacks or so of each condi and their talk also included pvp and for pvp and wvw was my suggestion of the cap
At the moment WvW share the same balance with PvE and the PvP version only give one bleed.. I don’t think that condi cap it’s really needed..

Bring back the old amulets, then nerf all the amulet’s stats by 1/3 and increase rune stats x2
We can select only one type of rune, so the tier bonus is meaningless and they can make a pvp version of the runes.

Slap a 10s ICD on the new Deathly Chill in sPVP so it doesn’t go bananas and things are looking pretty good for Reaper.

Can’t help if a player don’t look the stability uptime of the others class before landing cc. The power version run signet of might wich have 0 casting time, so if you want to make your cc unblockable for 6 seconds you can.
-good mobility, except against other non-warriors, due to the spammable knockdowns, chills, slows, criples, etc from all the other classes
-cleanse very often.. maybe with a trait that hits every half minute.. which is practically not

I shudder to think what would happen when 8 member teams started farming solos.
Just add “solo” option, like conquest and stronghold.
So the players could cry about their afker/rager/toxic mates and the others can seek fair matches

Elemental Surge + Overload Fire + Burning Precision (or cleansing power)+ Arcane Precision.. maybe with cleansing fire.
But im not 100% sure about the amount of burns it can stack..
If a DH block an attack, justice reach maximum charge.
If the DH uses f3 and block some hit while you are beign hit by PoB.. also, ther’re a trait that can burn you while the guardian block a hit (1s icd)

No, it isn’t a stun..
For the basilisk venom your stun duration is increased but not the shared stun.
The worst part of skill.. skull grinder is the daze.
well yes … but the combination with such a load of condies makes it too much ..
I play power war and normaly don´t use mace unless only dueling. I acidently forgot to swap weapons before a PvP match and got stuck with mace after going zerk. Well i thought wayne and used skull grinder … Interrupt … mace strike, pomel bash … interrupt …. oponent flees out of meele range for about 2 seconds till primal burst recharged and i leaped on him with another skull grinder … Well he was done … And i don´t play so much warrior and it was a power build :-/ …Yes, skull grinder can make a warrior more cc-ing then a horde of Volatile Bloodstone Elementals, luckily only on single target.
I hit you, for 1 second you can’t hit me, your next move will miss me, i’ll headbutt you on the nose and if you are still alive i’ll do it again and again and again.
Luckily they’ll don’t add some sigil to gain further advantage of interrupts.. right?I can understand the effect-overload of a skill like thief’s steal, but it’s a 20 sec (trained) CD skill that don’t improve it’s survival like a “base” skull grinder.
Trait sinergy it’s a good thing, but when you can combo skill and traits to reliably do everything ther’s something wrong.

Rolling a profession could help to understand how it work, but ther’s not much to learn about warrior (hi, I have a warrior too).
The only nerf (or balance?) needed is to remove the 1s daze form the skull grinder skill.
Pratice help a lot, but you’ll always see people seek a fair class balance.
Here I see 3 solutions as well:
a) adjust skill damage coefficients to higher values.
b) adjust skill cast times to lower values
c) introduce additional temporary direct damage % boost that activates with necro making some sort of play (facing enemy frontally, landing a crit, getting hit in shroud, on condi cleanse, ally heal..whatever). I’ll let others ponder on that for now.I’m generally saying that before we go to town with whole raid group wide balance via a new dps profession specific buff, let’s first fix necro dps problem “inhouse” and then without the burden of “must fix his direct damage output” ponder on what to bring to the table in terms of group dps.
Have to agree with Zeft in this discussion, even though I like the OP’s idea. That being said, I believe some improvements found on others could help Necro out here.
a) Increase the damage of the final auto-attack chain of dagger so it isn’t a DPS loss.
b) Reduce the cast-times, after-casts, and contact points of the dagger auto-chain.
c) Few suggestions here:
- Spiteful Talisman: “Deal +5% damage to foes without boons. Temporarily deal an additional +5% damage when you remove or corrupt boons. Buff duration: 5s.” Then, move the focus CD reduction to Chill of Death so the trait doesn’t do too much.
- Strength of Undeath: “Deal +5% damage when Life Force is above 50%. Deal an additional +5% damage when Life Force is above 50% while in Shroud. Maximum Life Force increased.”
- Soul Eater: Greatsword skills recharge 20% faster. Gain a stacking buff when you siphon or steal life that increases damage by +1% and Gravedigger’s damage by an additional +1% per stack. Buff duration: 8s. Stacks up to 10 times.
This creates synergy with Blood Magic, access to Dark Fields, and other Life Siphons to link up a traitline that already has Necro’s unique group buff. It also retains the “Soul Eater” thematic aspect and current emphasis on Gravedigger while using Life Siphon as an activation for synergy rather than allocating it to a single move.Other changes I think that would be nice is the ICD reduced on Chilling Darkness from 3s to 2s so Well of Darkness can chill 3x while Nightfall would still chill 2×. Maybe add in Well of Corruption damage to Well of Darkness and Well of Suffering damage to Well of Power so that they all do damage. Those should help a bit.
