RF isn’t a block, don’t use your shout on it.
-Shield of Absorption
Create a dome around you that pushes foes back and absorbs projectiles.

You shouldn’t try kill guardians with Staff AA.
-Shield of Wrath
Create a shield to block the next three attacks. If the shield is not destroyed, it explodes and damages nearby foes.
Can block 3 hit in 4 seconds time, mostly used to prevent Reaper’s Executioner’s Scythe and then dodge the following burst.
Use your “Nothing Can Save You!” before entering Reaper’s Shroud to take advantage of your CC or to force Renewed Focus while the Dragohunter use Shield’s of Courage.

Well as you can see, other people also say that in 1v1, necro gets kitten on by warrior, so I’m not wrong.
And it’s not just 1v1, its basically when they target you, it’s too easy for warriors to kitten on people (not just necro) especially when someone doesn’t have stability.
It’s like simple math, I don’t get what’s so hard about it to see it’s too much.
Endless stab beats little stab.
Endless boons make boon removal / corruption useless.
Resistance beats all condi builds, and another skill that makes them immune to dmg (not a boon so can’t be removed woohoo)
And on top of that, one of the biggest dmg bursts atm.Cool, any other class that can do that? No.
Even guardian that’s supposed to be the tank class dies faster than the average warrior, something’s wrong with that.
Can you post the build you are running?
We can give you better duel/survival tips if you show us what you’re running.
To me: if you use food and nourishment condition deals more damage, can help better your team weakening mobs, blinding them more often and destroy projectiles without lose too much dps (power builds usually don’t bring condi transfer)
It would be nice if the build was more an alternative to ele support rather than an extremely annoying decapper build.

With my build is easier to stay alive (at least for me) and on the 95% of the games i am top Healer-Point Holder . And 50% offensive and top reviver .
What make’s it easier doesn’t mean is the right thing.
So you want a bunker build, not a support build.
If you have found the build that suit you the most then there’s nothing to say..
It’s only that your build don’t offer many way to fight.

Isn’t valor inferior to Virtues when not running mediations?
Guardian’s burn can reach 420 damage/second per stack with no vulnerability stack.
If you stack enough burning you can do some high damaging tick, conditions are very dangerous if you don’t know how to manage it..
What do you think would be the optimal choices for weapon order for ascended weapons for the Thief for PvE? I’ve mostly been grinding HoT but want to prepare for raids. I want a flexible selection of weaponry for basically any scenario.
I find myself leaning toward 2x Pistol, then Staff, and Shortbow last. Is this a good order to make them?

I don’t have logged yet but with double class daily you could earn one more potion to speed up the process of skins gain by finishing rewards track.
But if this can help to mitigate the class stacking I’ll be glad to don’t get the extra potion.
Suggestion to the ones who don’t know how to handle warriors:
Debuff the warrior once it goes Berserk, fear it while at 50% hp to waste their 2 sec damage immunity with fear (if they stunbreak they gain stability wich can be turned into fear via corrupt just entering shroud), keep it cced with Executioner’s Scythe and then Whirl into his face.
Just don’t eat 100 blades, cast the low CD Mark of Blood to bait dodges/evades (ex. not directly on the warrior but in front of him while it’s closing the distance), Wail of Doom to interrupt blocks and shroud’s leap and terrian to kite Berserker Stance’s resistance.
If the necro it’s condi the fight are even easier: poison field from Chillblains, Reaper’s Mark fear and go whirl your way to the victory. Death’s Charge at ease to make their burst miss.
What builds would you make to work with the changed skills and is it even worth playing support?
Guardians don’t maintain viability because of support, contrary to the OP’s claim.
The OP have only ctrl+C ctrl+V the guardians changes , don’t have claimed nothing.

Heh I never will understand how not many necros use blood trait. It’s by far the most under used trait. I have my power based blood build that melts all classes.

This is the build i run, Sigil of Absorbition really help with debuffing and self sustain, “Nothing Can Save You!” paired with “Chilled to the Bone!” it’s your trick to destroy Mesmers and Guardians, nice sustain and good condition clear with shouts and Plague Signet.
To me the only reason why a blood magic power build could bench more than soul reaping it’s for the damage from the more frequent leeching whirl finisher, but at 90% those whirl will be into a fire field while doing true pve
Good build, but condi work better and have more survivability
Farbstoff likes to minmax, grind and theorycraft the necro rotations, this channel is the go-to for all top dps rotas as of today
Sooooo. Power reaper with wells but no blood magic? And with axe, but no axe trait? Pardon me if I doubt this “benchmark”. Maybe I don’t know something, but build looks like garbage.
Soul Reaping > Blood Magic
Wells are the go to utility for power reaper, the blood line increase wells damage by 20% + leech damage, plus a ridiculous party leeching buff, while Soul Reaping increase all the damage by 5% (over 50% life force), reduce shroud’s cooldown and skills plus give to AA burning.
The damage from Chill of death isn’t so great, it’s picked only for Deathly Chill?
Ps. I have heard that the character pannel don’t show 1% of crit chance, it’s true?
I think that shroud’s ferocity can be useful in a power build, we are using Souls Spiral on CD after all, and the AA to fill the weapon swap recharge time.

I’m runnig full berserker, but I think that a better option it’s possible.
Seems a solid minion master build trait wise, but if you run viper gear you have HoT so.. why not using Reaper?
-Condition duration cap at 100%, you should try to not exceed that limit.
You only need 1 sigil of corruption for each terrian (one for ground and one for water)
-With your current equip I suggest you to try this , swapping your dagger warhorn for greatsword, dropping blood magic for reaper and running “Rise!” instead of Summon Shadow Fiend.
-Malice + Geomancy are the best sigils for the pve meta build (on both weapon sets) while Berserker rune are the most damaging, but i suggest you to run hydromancy sigil and keep Krait runes if you can’t get an ascended gear, only for budget.
BUT. If you had to make a +1 roaming build if your life depended on it, how would you do it?
F12, delete necromancer, create new character, select thief.
Why not buy a new character slot?
If you are referring to the time when Chilling Darkness had no internal cooldown, in the current meta, it would be a bit overpowered. A spite/curses/reaper build would mean that every blind you apply would also grant Chilled, 3 vuln and 3 bleeds (in non pvp mode).
And every time a fury will be corrupted into blind.. rofl
The last Chilling Darkness change was a buff.

I think that this can offer good +1 while not being useless in team fights.

Best condibomb: Plague, wait, cast flesh wurm on point and teleport, gg.No what you do is you slot Spectral Walk, activate Spec Walk from a superior position, close and plant the Plague, then Spec Walk out.
It’s killer for WvW siege. I don’t know how it’d work in sPvP beyond just making you even better at cleaving corpses.

The only scenario where i’ll go 1vs1 thief is if my team have to decap more points to don’t lose the match and only I can reach safely the point.
If you see the shadowstep place your 2 and 3 mark where they were and then fill it with condition to make it use shadow return to cleanse and heal.. only to get poisoned again.
Stow your CTTB ‘til they have wasted enough dodge and try to stun if you see it don’t try to dodge anymore.
If you are power try to land your axe 2 after the shroud’s fear, you’ll have 3 stability to save you from interrupts and if it teleport too close you can still hit it.

Thief changes:
-Shadowstep and Shadow Return no longer removes conditions, instead the thief gain 5 second of superspeed on each usage.
-Fist Flurry now interrupt on each strike, changed Palm Strike to apply 1 stack of Pulmonary Impact for each connected Fist Flurry’kitten.
Now the thief can yell Omae Wa Mou Shindeiru while casting Fist Flurry.

But without many on demand stability option the long casting sigils aren’t very helpful..
Sadly betting in meditations reaches a higher performance :\ , smitter boon + monk focus.
More heal, and more condi cleanses, well the support i tended to use in pvp was “melt targerts before it lays eggs” its all that needs to play pvp in this game.. :\ then i would add a few things for support when was needed.
Mediations don’t support party members as well as the other skills.. and support it’s important: don’t make your ally die easily and don’t let your foes rally with kills.
Poison field toxicity confirmed! When i accidentally sent back the poison I’ve noticed a top percentage of QQ and madness!

You could do something crazy like “not standing in the poison field”.
They really have to change the Chocking Gas tips:
Fire an arrow that fills the target area with a poisonous cloud. Foes at or above the poison threshold are dazed.
(The same foe cannot be dazed more than once per interval.
Be careful, the poison field it’s highly toxic and can cause inflammation of the lacrimal glands)

Also, i don’t know why peoples have to run what metabattle says if they known that a build don’t have enough way to fight.. I mean, if you don’t have supporter why not drop Chilling Nova for Augury of Death (power version) and run a shout build or drop Dhuumfire for Foot in the Grave (condi)?
