So do we have to provide visual proof or can we just report it and you investigate the chat logs?
Also, is this situation sufficient proof to send?
I invite the other person into the party, and I type out the details of the deal:
Vol – “I, Vol.7601 agree to trade my (1)Dusk for OtherPerson.9999’s (1) Dawn + 200g. The trade will be completed immediately. Do you agree?”
Other Person " Yes I agree"

IMO, economy is good.
Yes, prices are inflated, in some cases higher than 100%. But this is not due to currency inflation but due to demand inflation.
Unfortunately, however, gold acquisition has been nerfed considerably over the past 2 years.
Actually want happened was there was a quest where you could only complete it one at a time, and you can imagine what happens when dozens of people on release compete for the same quest. To keep it orderly the folks on that server decided to queue
More pics:

I like AA, but one thing I do sorely miss from GW2 is
1.) Lack of queues
2.) Shared loot and credit
3.) Shared nodes
4.) Gold sinks
5.) Trading post. Srsly, Old TP in GW2 was real good and spoiled me too much.
Sooooo I heard that your mystic forge chances for a precursor are increased by the first two #’s in your account. Name
So in my case, increased by 76%.
No wonder I get such good returns.
Hand over eyes waiting for people to believe you Vol.
but I have proof! causation!
+1 Colossus which I’m still trying to get rid of..
Holy Kitten. And thats why people come up with the theories on good/bad accounts. 14/15 precursors in since launch, when most of us have yet to even see 1…
Actually, it’s not based on good/bad accounts, but on IP
That colossus I got on my 4th account after it reached the 500 achievement points, which rewarded my mystic forge stones. I mailed over some exotics, then BAM
Colossus on 2nd try.
You heard it first here folks. MF depends on your IP !

please stahp, I have 4 more stacks to sell ;(
lol this will never be happening.
1.) Wii sucks and will never run GW2
2.) Certification of patches would delay content releases
3.) Spending immense resources on coding for Wii when the potential playerbase is small
And there are half a dozen more reasons why.
and if you didn’t know, you could easily build a computer that runs GW2 at around $400. I certainly hope you are not one of those consumers that buys the ready-made gaming PC’s at 60% mark-up from bestbuy. PC building is easy.
knee-jerk reaction much?
You’ll never get a refund for that.
Anet has never said that SAB would never be going back
And when you bought the coin, you knew that SAB would be, at the minimum, content that comes and goes.
So not only did you knowingly buy a product that would only be useful maybe once or twice a year, but Anet also did not state that it would never be coming back.
So your request for a refund is meritless and more than likely a passive-aggressive attempt at ‘protesting’
I’m going back on hiatus from GW2 and heading over to Archeage. but I really don’t know if I should sell the large skulls all now for 60s or wait until it hits +1g.
There really is only one place to farm large skulls and it’s not at all efficient, so.
I hope I come back a few months down the line and these are +40g a piece as well ;P
http://imgur.com/a/gZJjS
Now that key farming is difficult, the market will correct itself. The prices of skins will rise to the point that those who do wish to key farm will profit well.
I don’t like it but I wouldn’t make such a big deal about it to post here.
tax evasion is a federal crime in most countries
we must imprison these felons!
Unfortunately Tyria’s economy is not based off of the BLTC (remember we had the Consortium?)
I therefore propose a separate vehicle that encourages low taxes (1%)
We shall call it
The Quaggans Purse
Well seeing as how you know the magical answer, why the thread?
Colin, just clear up one thing – There is 0% chance EU/NA GW2 gets a VIP system?
We’re absolutely not bringing the China VIP system to NA/EU, correct.
“I’ll just kill right now that this is a system developed for China”
did you mean that this system isn’t just developed for China?
As wanze said, salvage o matic is incredibly useful. Bag space is also very important later all, but keep in mind that you not only can buy extra slots from the gem store, but you can buy bigger slot bags from the TP. You may want to convert some gems to gold to purchase them
BTW, how do you find the new player experience so far? Reviews are overwhelmingly negative – at least for veterans.
“5. Give the collectors the opportunity to collect previous account bound miniatures from events. I’m talking about 1st Wintersday miniatures, the only ones you didn’t repeat on BLTP for no reason (you repeated 1st Halloween, 2nd wintersday(3 times), etc.).
7. You totally failed with the Minimonkey King drops. First the drop was almost 0, making the mini worth 2000g, after the update, the drop is so high that the miniature is now worth 40g. Can you put a coherent drop rate on the next miniature who drops from world mobs?(this one is already destroyed like reef rider and magnus). Example: what about people who submitted offers on monkey before update? They lost 200-1000g ( a lot of 800g) for a miniature that is owned by everyone now”
Do you not realize your hypocritical nature in this? First you want access to the old skins, which would destroy their value.
And then you complain that the drop rate was increased for the monkey one, and you don’t like it because it destroyed it’s value.
all the miniscule revenue they got for getting these non-gamer new players that they tailored this patch towards pales to the revenue they will lose from veterans who boycott the store.
Also that image was available sometime after China launch – the imgur link shows it was posted 2 months ago.
lol it’s not insider trading. That information was reasonably available for people to access.
I really have to get out of that mindset of “psh, that skin is ugly, no one would spend the gold to get that!”
Has there ever been a patch/feature that has been this hated by the community? The closest I can think of is ascended
why did those foods go up?
You have to access a TP merchant on the map to access that. Some maps have TP merchants available on them (like bloodtide coast) but usually you have to head to the cities to pick-up items.
I think their focus groups were too focused on people who don’t play games.
Who is more likely to play GW2? A non-gamer or a gamer?
Anet screwed up kitten these changes, but I don’t expect them to change it.
I don’t like the version so far.
I salvage a lot of rares, which ends up giving me a ton of rare sigils. Having to sell them one by one is brutal. Old TP made it pretty easy.
Now I’m just going to be saving up all my sigils in my inventory and selling them each week rather than when I get them.
furthermore, that giant notification you get when you successfully list an item sometimes takes awhile to load. Surely they should have used something less graphic intensive, like a little text notification?
So the items that I invested in didn’t go up, although I hope Anet regularly releases new collections with each LS release.
On the other hand, I just checked the price of Large Skulls, what the heck happened with that? I had 5 stacks and I bought them when they were like 2s.
I Just wonder WHY did they removed it, they told t was OK
EDIT: Spydor – trying now
they didn’t remove anything, it’s just some things broke it’s compatability.
I actually wouldn’t be surprised if the PR/marketing folks didn’t consult him on the implications of previews. In most organizations, departments often don’t work together.
This is why any personnel involved in the games economy should be replaced. Whomever thought leaking the preview information AGAIN should be removed. These runes began escalating a few days ago already.
you are asking John Smith to be fired?
Yeah you can’t do much, honestly.
You set arbitrary points to halt trading, nothing else changes. Price will skyrocket at the time it unlocks.
And people still miss out (like me) because of work or because we couldn’t log on at that arbitrary time.
I bought over 500 pieces of a certain trinkets (about 700g) in hopes that it would rise by at least 1000%.
Unfortunately I totally forgot about bank space, so I had to spend an hour or two mailing them to alt accounts.
This patch could make a lot of people very rich.
Namely, already rich people.
well, you gotta have money to make money!
It’s exactly like in real life, how rich people can allocate funds to invest and grow their money, while poor people do not have the ability to since they use funds to live day to day

You want to make gold now? Well the patch starting tomorrow has made the world boss train somewhat lucrative, as the exotic drops from the physical chests have value now due to collections.
There sure is a lot of people here who don’t play anymore or think that the game is dying, yet choose to post on the forums.
Hmmm
I assume OP is a new-ish player.
See this is why I think Anet needs to be concerned about nerfing grinding/farming.
Veterans like me, who have played since release, have had many opportunities to make tremendous amounts of gold. We can easily afford all the heritage items like legendaries & meta legendaries, while also being able to afford any new skins or armor sets.
But new players have it hard, as they can only gain gold from events that have been neutered to the point that they pale in comparison to the old gold per hour rates of the past.
Anyways…
How did I make most of my gold? The percentage is split somewhat evenly between farming, speculation and luck.
I stared off with my wealth with successful speculation of items that went up in value. I invested heavily in ancient bones and profited off from that.
After gaining good capital, I made myself a few legendaries. But I also realized that wealth was attainable through farming. I farmed all events you can imagine – and all of them have been nerfed. All that farming netted my 3 more legendaries.
And then after getting settled down with 5 legendaries and tricked out characters, I decided to splurge thousands of gold on gambling for precursors. My count since the start of the game is 10 precursors, half of them Dusks.
So as you can see, wealth generation is a combination of luck and ‘hard’ work. Unfortunately for new players, in order to get luck, you need to do all the ‘hard’ work, which is harder than before.
Same thing that happened to the Charr clipping protest.
Oh wait, you don’t remember that?
Looks like Vol has hoarded lots of skins. I’d put down a wager that if they added keys and prices would tank…..they’d take issue.
I haven’t hoarded a skin since Scarlet’s Kiss came out, and I’m disappointed in myself for not holding on to them for longer, looking at the price right now..
I bet the guy that hoarded 200 of them is happy.
well that is disappointing
/buys up all precursors
The tooltip fo rthe weapon chest says einzigartig=unique.
Precursors arent unique.
How aren’t they unique? They’re a special class of exotics that separates it from the rest. Although you can go both ways on the interpretation of this, including that we’re getting a new set of skins that we haven’t seen before.
With unique, i mean the statement in the tooltip, like on ascended rings. Items that you can only equip 1 of.
True, but I don’t see why Anet would want to point that out, as if it was a positive thing or a feature.

so?
everything is gonna be a collection.
of course bl skins will be a collection.like duh.
I know, seriously.
People are just whining for the sake of whining.
Everyone knew going into GW2 that there would be quite a lot of gem-store related stuff going on, otherwise how did they expect to fund the game?
Seriously people, use some common sense
and OMG, BL skins are counted as an achievement?!!?!
Obviously this is a case of pay to win, where I lose out on those precious achievement points. /s
Yea, as the financial reports show they really had a hard time paying their bills withouth that many shop based achievements. I hope they can afford at least a steak on the weekend soon.
You’d be terrible at running a business if you let your guard down just because you had a great quarter.
Or you can convert gold to gems?
566g for 1 1-Ticket Skin.
So what? That makes it a rare skin that is expensive to get.
I don’t see people complaining about the prices for Volcanus or Mjolnir
How am I even supposed to reply to that? “Oh you are right, a set that will most like cost more than multiple legendaries is fine” ?
BL skins will never be that expensive, unless we’re talking about skins that will remain to be unreleased.
BL skins as they are pre patch were incredibly undervalued, as the price was depressed by key farmers. The alternative to key farming, gambling with actual gem purchases, was incredibly inefficient cost wise.
The change of the lvl 10 to lvl 20 storyline will even things out to a more fair price.
And yes, ‘fair’ involves both buyers and sellers, not just buyers who want everything cheap. Sellers want a fair price to make a profit.

People here, day in day out continue to not understand the term inflation and keep throwing it out there to try to make their post seem smart or well thought out.
