Why isn’t it possible to put superior runes and sigils in the mystic forge to gamble? This would at least start using up the lowest priced runes and sigils on the market, and allow us to at least try for an unsoulbound rune.

I’m actually hoping for the mystic forge changes that JS talked about several months ago would resolve this. There is a reason why I have thousands of Tequatl Runes as well as stacks upon stacks of vendor-priced weapon sigils

And if possible, legendary runes/sigils

Bots? Hacks? What kind of stuff would you do to increase your AP? Use bots to farm monsters for their kills? Farm weapon kills?

The only way your AP grows is by completing your daily and by participating in LS. Most of the achievements listed on the achievement tab is fixed and acquirable at any time. I don’t see how any sort of hacker/botter interested in acquiring AP will do so at an increasingly higher rate.

I think player like @OP wants to avoid teaching. This is not how to be a leader in any aspect of the game. This is just purely selfish and generalization.

Once in a while I have new players in my party, I always ask who is new and willing to teach on the run. Helping players and they might even catch up to you someday and be skilled as you.

Some player level up in PvP only and in fact those players are probably very skilled in PVP and a bit of adjustment in PVE side. They can sit around 2k AP in that case.

AP is the best available metric in the game to judge a player’s experience. It’s not ideal, but it’s the best because it’s the only one.

If I had to choose between the player with 8K AP and one with 2K AP, I’d choose the former.

T3 happens with little to no coordination and just people running around doing events
T4 happens with coordination but with little to no regard for completing bonuses or covering all parts of the map
T5 happens with high coordination and following bonuses.

It’s not all that hard to get into T4 maps. It’s also not hard to get into T5 maps as long as you know the people and taxi in late into the 2nd phase as people have already got their purchases in.

If you are fighting with 10 people against strong boss he should be weak.
If you are fighting with 80 people against strong boss he should be stronger.
Boss needs to adapt on his environment.

And boss needs to move more and have more spells. That should remove stacking…
If you can call boss and pushim in the wall he should be able to run away and throw some range spell on people… Common make monsters smarter… Let them live a little.

Depends on what you mean by weak/stronger.

If by difficulty you mean the stronger boss has more skills then no.

That would result in players wanting fewer people to participate.

Even if you get into the map an hour early, there is no guarantee that you will get into an organized run. In fact I guarantee it would not be a TTS run since they always find empty maps to avoid these very same people who have no interest in coordinating and leeching.

That may work with Teq, but not so with wurm. Wurm to this day still fails in organized TTS runs, while Teq, even though it’s still challenging, is still defeated with high frequency, even among semi-organized fights.

I don’t understand how people are up in arms with Belinda dying and expecting this is the start of more deaths (even though you said it’s not about her, I bet you thought about it since GoT = deaths). How in the world can you start on that path? Just cause one, somewhat insignificant person dies doesn’t mean we’re going down that path with more minor characters. Belinda died, OK we’ll deal with it. There is no need to make it a big issue.

I think you’re taking that GoT comment awhile back a little too seriously. Anet will have their own vision and I’m sure they wouldn’t use GoT as a blueprint because at some point that gets old. Furthermore, as you mentioned, GoT is extremely complex with many viewpoints and conflicts happening across the world. In Tyria, we only stick with our bionics working together. You can’t exactly copy that blueprint since the scale of complexity is very limited in GW2.

I’ve always theorized that that the mystic forge stones increase your chance at a precursor if you used it as a component. But it’s pretty expensive and inefficient to test. I did get Zap with it, though

LFG is to help people find like minded individuals to run with. I have no requirements when I run my group because I like it care free and sometimes an additional challenge of shouldering the load or not stacking.

There is nothing wrong for a speed run player or anyone for that matter to form a group with their own specifications. If he wants to kick you because he hates you name..that is totally fine.

The elitest are not preventing you from running a dungeon, they are just preventing you from running in their group which is fine.

I only see this argument valid if there is a lfg just saying p1 with no written requirements as that can be annoying..but again their choice and it is your choice to start a group or try to join one.

I take some exception to your use of the word “fine” in the above examples, but I’m guessing the reason you used is more defensive than you mean to let on here. Those things are certainly within the rules and everything you stated is true, but being rude, and snobbish should never be described as “fine”, IMO.

No. It is perfectly fine that a group states from the start that they only accept members according to certain critera. Why should they invite someone they do not like? Just cause you are there doesn’t mean you are entitled to join in at a whim.

If the LFG listing says “No noobs, only +7k AP”, then yeah I could see that as rude

but a listing that merely says “+7K AP only” or “lvl 80’s only” is not snobbish. I don’t see how in the world you could see it like that

If you’re going to come into GW2 with the old MMO mindset, then you’re going to play with the old MMO mindset.

GW2 has the opportunty to branch out of that and try things differently. Take advantage of it.

Well, they are physically and mentally dead, but they are now infested and will become minions of Mord.

So perhaps Jory is afraid that Belinda will become Infested Belinda.

Anet really needs to implement the system that TF2 has if they want any chance of people buying BL keys.

They need to introduce rare vanity items in order to entice people.

Unfortunately, this would result in plenty of rage, more so than the ascended gear rage IMO.

What I would do, just to lessen the blow, is to release a bunch of weapon/armor sets at the same time all at once and throw in the BL set so that it’s not focused on as much.

For example, in the feature patch I would include 10 different new weapon/armor sets. 9 of them will be acquirable in the game through varying means, but 1 of them will be known exclusively as the Gnashblade weapon and armor set.

if investing you mean long-term speculation and not flipping, then gold, silver, & platinum are good holds.

However it’s becoming increasingly likely that we may not see Jewelcrafting until the next feature update, which could be in at least 4 months from now.

As mentioned, skins are a good choice as well.

It’s replayable but I don’t think you can easily access the last instance.

All the purple markers are for instances that you get achievements from and I don’t recall seeing one near the end. I guess if you want to replay the last scene, you have to start the whole story from the beginning and make sure you do not complete it.

Achievement points currently are the best metric available for judgement. It’s not perfect, but it’s best because it’s only one of the few available.

If you compared a player with 12 K cheevs against one with 2K cheevs, the probability that the former knows how to play is a lot higher than the latter.

The best and most easiest way to combat this is to institute a fixed vendor price. No more 1c vendor priced items.

Make it a price that is so expensive that it would be difficult to place millions of buy orders.

I disagree with deaths having to only occur with main character. Look at GoT and the countless deaths of supporting actors. For example

A captain of the guard and friend of Ned Stark (Jory Cassell) getting impaled in the eye by Jaime. It may seem like an innocent death, but it was in response for the kidnapping and for sure affected Ned with regret.

With Ms. Deliqua, I think we’ll find her to live with regret that she wasn’t there to defend her. It may also open up more for us to know about her as a character, as we may speculate that she may use her necro powers to make Belinda Zombie (ok maybe that’s farfetched)

That’s actually one of my gripes with her death. We didn’t see it happened, she just went from alive to dead in 5 minutes.

It would have been a bit more emotional seeing her torn apart by vines in real-time…

Difference of opinion. I actually prefer the Leyline skins, and I find the Leyline staff to be the most desirable and better than Bifrost.

The hammer is also really shiny and reminds me of Genesis.

Here is what you do.

Once you clear the camp, you have to rescue the NPC trapped in the cave (I have not done the 2nd choice, so I don’t know how it would work in that direction)

Anyway, once you rescue her after talking to her, that is when the NPC’s will pop up. If I recall, there are 4 places you have to go to, with a total of 7 NPC’s to rescue, 2 of the 4 places have mobs, so you have to rescue them as soon as possible.

Remember, these NPC’s only show up after you rescue the priory chick.

It is easy to solo.

You really should have used them up. I made more money during Gauntlet than 4 months of farming. I made at least 2000g just picking up all those monocles and chaos recipes.
