It has to be design choice as many of the other progression systems they have are account bound such as achievement points and sPvP ranks. Sadly, this means that players like me who play 4-5 characters in WvW will never see the majority of the WvW rank abilities that they work so hard to make. I will just end up with a bunch of characters that have 7% reduced guard damage instead.

CD is terrible, all their roamers run unless it’s at least 4v1 and their zergs do nothing but turtle in towers. They would be last place if it wasn’t for their night capping bads.

I run soldier runes on my guard and necros that focus purely on conditions don’t stand a chance against me, guardians can out-cleanse necros anyday assuming the guardian isn’t stupid. Also, maybe you haven’t heard but corrupt boon was nerfed to only remove 5 conditions and as such almost never removes stability anymore as it doesn’t seem to be prioritized. If you go browse the necro forums for builds you will see that most don’t even run it anymore as its main utility was converting stability which it can no longer do reliably. I dropped corrupt boon on my necro as well. As for well of corruption, I’m sorry if you think standing in wells is a good strategy. Whether a profession is too powerful or not depends entirely on its abilities relative to other professions, so I don’t understand why you don’t want to talk about necros from the perspective of other classes. Listing a profession’s abilities by themselves without reference to how other classes can counter those abilities provides no basis for judging whether they are balanced.

Despite asking for opinions, it is pretty clear the OP has already decided that necros are too powerful. What I find funny is that he plays a guardian and complains about how hard it is to remove conditions. Run a 0/0/10/30/30 shout build with pure of voice and soldier runes. SYG/HTL/SY gives you 6 conditions removed instantly if you need it. Absolute resolution gives you another 3 removed, renewed focus to remove an additional 3 almost instantly if you have a lot of condi pressure. Purity and signet of resolve give you another 2 conditions removed every 10 seconds passively. Not to mention 2 of your shouts are stunbreakers to instantly remove fear, and SYG and indomitable courage both give you stability so that fear will never even affect you. All this plus blocks from aegis/weapon skills and dodging through marks and you should almost never have any conditions on you. Next time rather than asking whether other classes are too powerful, maybe you should go to the guardian forums and ask for help on match-ups that you are having trouble with, especially when it sounds like you have little if any experience playing necros.

So, one of the most enjoyable things for me to do in GW2 is to go to the EBG JP. The combat there is more dynamic there than in anywhere else. Visibility, Pulling, traps, CQC, ranged combat, 1v1’s, group fights, you name it, all in one place. The reason I made this thread was because I was called out for not helping my server. The player proceeded to make fun of me because my toon was a Raider rank, but once I told him I was ranked 500 in spvp that shut him up through and through . Anyway, I want to know the opinion of the community. Do people agree with the thought that " If you’re camping the JP, you should be out in the battlefield"?

My take is some people PvE and some people sPvP, yet those players are rarely criticized for not helping In WvW, why should JP “campers”?

Rank 500 in spvp? Pretty, pretty, prettay, prettaay good.

Let me know when you figure out how to make videos and I’ll tell you know if I’m in it. I doubt it though as I haven’t died to a thief in a couple months. I’ve killed plenty, and seen plenty more disappear in a trail of red circles that goes off towards keep/tower doors.

I thought this was a thread to share epic stories of escorting dolyaks across dangerous terrain while protecting them from the evil invaders. After clicking it, I am now disappointed.

Pretty much any of them. Just avoid the top 4 or 5 servers and the bottom 4 or 5 servers.

I got an ascended ring after opening about 175ish rank chests. Unfortunately, it was the magic find one and Anet just said they are removing magic find gear from the game so… GG?

After playing a ranger in sPvP for awhile I finally decided to lvl one up for WvW and got a sweet Jade Dragon Longbow skin to go with it. I was doubting my decision and thinking maybe I should have gone with Shortbow, but after that stealth Hunter’s shot it’s gonna be all good.

More nerfs please, I enjoy a challenge.

I agree. So we should implement a simple rule. Everytime your forces are going to attack a keep or tower, you must let the enemy know about it. Before the attack can commence, the enemy zerg must be there in full force. That way, there will be no PvD and everyone involved learns how to fight better.

You must be a player who loves the karma trains/wxp so your defending it calling it strategy. Its not a good strat to beat on a the 2nd place server when your third. I guess I will break it down for ya wxp farmers. Its simple. CD beats on ebay and holds a +300 ppts. CD leaves ebay and BP walks in and back caps ebay’s stuff. BP hits +295 while CD continues to sit at +300 because no pressure is in your home bls or in EB. Third place server(currently BP) may over take 2nd place server(currently ebay) and if tht happens. Ebay will make sure to hit our bls everynight during primetime, causing BP to have to hold off ebay while CD sits in the back laughing holding the most ppts and holding first. Do u think im dumb? You say you and the rest of CD are trying to help us? Yea I guess u tricked idiots to think that. Your just trying to get ebay and BP to clash more so CD can sit back and enjoy first place. Truth is, CD doesn’t even have a comfortable lead. Its only Tuesday. If Ebay and bp really wanted to, we could take tht lead from you, but you have our guys believing your really trying to help us when in reality, Ebay and BP are duking it out for 2nd place while CD is pulling the strings of both servers. Adnul is pretty impossible. Seems like once he gets around 60% health he uses critique non-stop, and then uses belch during the 1-2 turns when he’s not using critique…. However, after reading some thread about boosters I used a rejuv booster that I had sitting in my bank and was able to barely defeat him (1 drink away from death, fortunately there’s an achievement for that).

It’s pretty ridiculous that an ele can just up and simply get downed, then walk into a portal ensuring their safety and revive themselves.

Lowest armor / health pool combination in the game. Considering a full soldier’s ele has less health than a zerker warrior, no cause to complain. If they weren’t so easy to down, you wouldnt be complaining about them getting through the gate.

I’m sure the ele’s would be happy to trade vapor form for 8-10k health and heavier armor so they don’t get downed in the first place.

Armor and health pool are obviously the only things that determine how powerful a class is. Warrior needs to be nerfed.

Looks like you got hit at least 4 times with hundred blades, how did that happen? Quick bio break?

Why are people only complaining about the kite in the EB JP? The real problem is that kite in the cliffside fractal. I entered the fractal thing for the first time to go look for it and some robot with about a million HP kept pew pewing me with lightning that hit for around 5k. Most OP thing I’ve ever seen. It would be easier to go 1v10 against thieves in the EB JP than trying to kill that thing.

If you are in a place where the supervisor can’t damage you, then the supervisor won’t take any damage from you. I’m guessing you were standing on some roof pew pewing him where he obviously can’t do anything since he’s melee. It ensures that you don’t take advantage of the AI.

Example’ 2 boxers in a boxing match.

Boxer A- Any class
Boxer B- THief

Boxer A is winning with knockdowns than all of sudden Boxer B pull out a gun and shoots Boxer A and hide.. than return and finsih killing off. Boxer A.

30 pts in spite, rare veggie pizza, runes of necromancer → 90% increased fear duration that will be rounded up to 100% since the game rounds to the nearest quarter second. Staff #5 (2 second fear) → Spectral Wall (2 second fear) → DS #3 (3 second fear), please explain how the thief is going to run away while he is feared for 7 seconds. Not to mention with 1700 condi damage that will give you over 9k damage from terror alone, add in bleeds/burning/torment/poison plus the immob on DS #5 and the thief is dead. The complaining about thieves comes from people with 3 second reaction times who are incapable of interrupting skills or dodging attacks.

Start by learning to use your dodges/DS to avoid damage. Then learn to use your fears to interrupt their stealth. Staff #5 counters refuge, DS #3 counters stealth heal/smoke field heart seeker, Reapers Protection counters basilisk venom/fear steal skill. Also, posting screen shots of damage doesn’t show anything other than you stood there and face tanked a bunch of hits like an idiot. If you want to post a video of you fighting a thief, then I can write up a much more detailed post explaining exactly why you are bad.

Evo points work the same way they have since the game was released, the only thing they changed was the match making.

To the people from SoS who I was lighting up the Dark Room for: Thanks for not killing me. Thanks especially for not mistaking for an attack the mud which drops out when I fall, and thanks for in turn showing me a few of the jumps.

To the people from SoS who proceeded to turn around and spike me dead in the arena? Please find something better to do. It took about ten minutes for a small knot of us to begin to question if it was going to stop, then when we did fight back and got to the top about three of you kicked us back down. Two of you waved “all clear” before bombarding me dead on the first chandelier.

I get it. It’s a PvP-allowed zone so you’re entitled to this. There’s rewards at the end including Siege prints, so it’s okay to deny us those.

But I wasn’t attacking you, and at least two others with me were just trying to get to the kite. At least, I didn’t until you made it clear you weren’t going to stop.

So. I’m planning on waiting until I know a mesmer is in the JP doing portals because I’m not going to run into the jaws again. I will, of course, continue to not attack anyone from other servers in the JP proper and identify myself with waving and bowing. Why? Because I ask the same courtesy of you folks.

SoS are a bunch of meanies in the EB JP. I tried to do some ERP with them and all they did was jump on my face
