Not really megaserver related. but I think for those that disconnect and/or crash, there should be a 60 second grace period where the map remains full except for that one person to come back and join it. After 60 seconds it then opens up for someone else.

BDO looks certainly good, but it seems it will get boring pretty fast what I read about it. I’ll try it out maybe. After a short trip to BnS I noticed the high quality of GW2 which almost no other MMO has (except maybe WoW).
I actually enjoy Blade And Soul. The combat is very fun and while I have a hard time keeping up with the story due to Korean based names, I still like where it’s heading. It won’t replace GW2 for me because I am a guild leader but it’s a nice thing to play occasionally

In GW1 if a guild leader didn’t login for a specific length of time the position would be transferred to an officer who was the longest serving, and still active. Strange how GW2 did not have this.

When I play my ping randomly spikes to 200-300 causing a noticeable delay in ability usage. It only happens in GW2, not any other game and I can’t figure out why.

Because you can win in stronghold if both sides ignore other players and just zerg down the boss whereas in conquest you’re forced to fight other players. In stronghold you’re also using cheese builds and playstyles against other cheese builds and playstyles so skill wins out in the end.
I haven’t won or lost when an entire team ignores defense and pushes down kitten . Usually when that happens they lose because killing the Door Breakers is easy to do. Then because all 5 are so committed, they’ve lost both doors compared to the 1 they got down.
Besides, I’d rather skill win in the end in cheese vs cheese rather than no skill tanky being superior :p

This is the biggest issue foe me too. The devs claimed a diverse range of challenges. So far it is not existent. I hope the 2nd wing will provide a greater variety of checks: DPS, HPS and CC in all possible combinations and weightings.

You can also ask, whether there will be enough HPS with 7 berserker geared people for a certain encounter.

I whisper them congratulations on cheating a broken system. As a solo Q’r your diamonds mean you grouped and took advantage of a flawed mechanic. I know many of you are good and fun to play with as I’ve been here fo eva but I solo and Anet kitten on my kind.
I hit Ruby by myself, only queueing occasionally with someone else. Another friend hit Diamond with solo queue only, except those few times he tagged along with me. Neither of us tanked MMR or anything like that. Sorry you aren’t good enough to rise in the ranks, but don’t assume everyone else isn’t.
Edit: I’m not sure how or why this happened to me. But the majority of my wins were +1 or +2, with the occasional +3. My losses were almost ALWAYS -1 or -0, I think only a -2 once. I even had a Loss give me a +2 about a week ago.

Hello,
For the past few weeks now at random times my ping would occasionally spike incredibly high, upwards of 300-400 for a few seconds. Normally there is no issue except when trying to glide at the height of my jump and it delays and I miss my target. It only happens in GW2 as I have done speed tests to test my ping and it’s always in the low 40s, and other games I experience no lag at all, nor when surfing or watching videos/streams.

Steve fowler is throwing with money in the hope it will create something that ‘later fix’ his debt issue, but the conclusion later will be that it’s wasted money, that should not have been spend on tournement (at least not that much).
I dunno who that is. But you’re missing the point. The POTENTIAL revenue from PvP is apparently worth it for ArenaNet to invest money and resources into it.

It’s not even that challenging to be frank. The first time that I did it, I felt it was like “baby’s first raid”. I’m not saying that it is not fun, which it is, but it’s no more difficult then what fractals are before you know the mechanics.
Difficulty is measured by a percentage of the player base that can/has completed it. Honestly with how few people I hear that have beaten it, or are even continuing to try, it makes me wonder how much further they can go with it. Why develop something for that small of a population, it seems to not make much sense from a business standpoint; why put resources into something for only a small group of your customers.
I’m not saying it should be changed, or they should stop, I just think based on current metrics, it’s a poor investment :p
What you say is true. However, Anet said they expected only a small percentage of players to ever complete the raid. That would be fine if there were enough other content to keep everyone else satiated, but there isn’t.
