you have to be soo deep into dis to get brawlers recov though. I know most PVP meta builds go this deep however, where is the build diversity then and look waht you are giving up to do so.

The current state of the warrior basically being in the trash bin overshadows any buff to brawlers recovery or the sigil.

all the rangers cryed that warriors were too OP and got them nerfed cuz oh burst skill 10sec cd and actually require skills to land on even bad players who can dodge. But are perfectly fine with rapid fire 10 sec CD that tracks you and easy to land from 2000 Range.

Strange, I just used it in PvP. You are confused.

No one said it was OP. I stated it in a manner to answer his question. adding another 50% to the arcing slice damage would be OP. It is reasonably strong now, does more over all damage, and increased the chance to proc CI by hitting more foes. Making an AoE cleave added a very large amount to the skills damage potential.

Because sPvP is exactly the place where you’ll be using that awesome 5-man cleave.

The fact that you used GS in PvP does not make it a PvP weapon and any good player will know that.

When you hit the point that you can tell folks that, please do. What is your PvP rank by the way? Did your team progress further then mine did in the last NA ToL?

I didn´t watch the last ToL.

How many warriors played there with gs?
Those who played were able to win?

Pretty sure I thought that not one single top team had a warrior could be wrong. Warrior no longer viable/needed.

Before I say anything else, let me say that I was for this change, because adrenaline shouldn’t have decayed so slowly nor be saved if you fail to land a burst skill.

But the rate of adrenaline decay is now too severe. You should be able to at least go from one mob to another when mobs are spaced apart normally in the open world without having to start all over again building adrenaline. If there’s nothing within range to fight, and it takes you longer than normal mob distance to engage combat again, then, yes, adrenaline should decay.

To not even have a chance to use a burst skill without using abilities that inject extra adrenaline unless you’re fighting many mobs simultaneously? That’s not appropriate and I’d like to see the decay begin just a couple seconds longer.

I don’t get it a lot of people said on the forum this change was bad. I mean what exactly did you expect? Something other than what was being said?

I personally repeatedly made post and in them state all of warriors, DPS, Sustain and CC is tied to adrenaline. Each and every time someone would tell me I am wrong. And that these were excellent changes.

Then we would explain sure maybe excellent changes if warrior hasn’t just gone through a year of nerf after nerf after nerf. Moving traits, nerfing traits, nerfing skills making every single busrt skill easy to dodge even if u are a bad player.

And what gets me Is I knew how bad it was going to be but it is even worst than I expected.

I don’t know, I remember seeing the excuse of “its ok to nerf hb/ww because arcing slice buff” and now look where we are, everything was nerfed.

Feels like the patch hit warrior with a sledgehammer and from what I’m hearing, rangers are just gibbing people in PvP.

Pretty much yes. ANET is discouraging warriors from using burst skills and to just hold on to adrenaline.

Burst skills are hard enough to land on bad players. Most warriors won’t take any risks from now on since they will be penalized severely for even trying.

Penalized more than any other class for missing a skill. It wouldn’t be so bad if the reward outweighed the risk but lets face it. Having most of your sustain, DPS, and CC tied to one thing burst skills are the Achilles heel of warriors.

Remove that and they are at this point on the bottom of every other class in the game because lets face it. All people have done is cryed to ANET to nerf warriors. And ANET has repeatedly listened to them instead of buffing other professions or telling them to go learn to play. Which in most cases is what they needed to do.

Are some things a bit strong on warriors yes, But other things on every other profession is a bit strong too if used right. Problem is it doesn’t take a PHD to figure out how to play a warrior, where on other classes you actually have to think.

At this point as a warrior even now before the patch if you want to beat someone else who is actually good on another class its an uphill battle for you as a warrior.

And people are still screaming for nerfs.

Oh god, PVE bads complaining about changes that were made because warrior is too strong in PVP and WvW. Get over it, your 100 blades deals less damage and you dont get to have full adrenaline from one PVE boss to another where you simply spam 1 and 2 the whole time.

Get over it, you’re playing a talentless sport.

Well I’m from MAG. With FA’s back capping, dodging zergs to hit doors, constant running from fights, and overall PPT over fights mentality. I would hardly consider you to be an expert on warriors abilities to fight. Especially all while running around in full PTV. Trust me I know all about it. Too bad Mag imploded or I would still be on that server.

If you think that warrior has low sustain, you need to try out some other builds because you’re far from correct on it. I’ve got over 2000 hours logged on warrior and I know that these changes will not effect me in the slightest for my play style or my build.

Have you ever stop to think that your play style, build, and opinions based on those experiences isn’t an accurate representation of the games broader balance and in general.

And No I am not trolling but this isn’t a wvw discussion. It is an all encompassing post based on every intricacy and facet of the game. Not to sound rude any time I see any warrior build except a PVE pure axe build or a front line WVW build without fast hands I just LOL.

Even right now warriors have lower DPS than guardians.

After the patch, the only two classes that will have lower DPS than warrior will be ranger and necro.

And just think… people are still saying warriors are OP. It’s so bizarre.

Power Necro will still be the kings of backline DPS in ZVZ combat wvw. Ranger will now be much more better off than they were before. Ranger>Warrior post patch IMO. Giving rangers basically stances without having to trait for them and as well as the buffs to consolidating pet traits is huge.

Warrior to me has been a blast. Great in every game mode, easy to play and challenging to play well vs challenging AI and good players.

ANET will officially kill off warriors in this next patch. By the promotion of passive play and destruction of warriors life line adrenaline.

Many out there are now welcoming these changes and I hope that you are happy that you got what you wanted. You had lobbied ANET each and every day for ANET to NERF warriors. But had you ever stopped for one second to realize the problem wasn’t warriors and it wasn’t the class you play but it was you.

All us warriors ever wanted was enough sustain to become viable. Once we finally got a reasonable amount of sustain which still wasn’t as high as some other professions had. People began to beg ANET to nerf our DPS and systematically warrior has been reduced to now less DPS than a guardian as well as less sustain.

With almost all of our sustain, our DPS, and Our CC being tied to one thing adrenaline you can now officially say goodbye to warriors. Congratulate yourself in making warriors free bags again and holding warriors to a standard now higher than any other profession is held to.

That build its called destroyer. Most people don’t put 20 in arms but its not un-heard of especially now after crit damage nerf.. Most people just run the Hambow traits… Which is where the build came from. its 0/0/6/2/6 instead of hambow its axe/s-GS…

Only advices I would have is save your skills. A few times you seem to be wasting them.

not being sarcastic. The point I was trying to make. Is that no way are you getting 2900 Power without Guard stacks, food, Borderland Blood lust etc. FYI In that sceen shot I am not using signet of might. Who uses that except for duels its very situational. Thats why I said no way you can have 2900 Power without Buffs. However with buffs 3k is achievable if you use signet of might. Its NP to get 3k Power with might stacks though. And if you count signet of might which I didn’t than sure 2900 Power all day long with Food, Guard stacks, Borderland Bloodlust. MY point is I made my stats with 212 Crit damage and traits just like Cygnus did. And I had to go through all of these buffs to reash the theroectical number of power posted. So Ima say no not without buffs.

So given the fact that his crit chance is only 30% and mine is 44. I know that he is rocking a lot more Cav than I am. Which leads me to believe he has even less power IRL than I do.

I run a build with 3,5 cavalier trinkets (backpiece has a zerk jewel). 4/0/6/0/4, taking merciless hammer off course. Try putting sigil of impact and sigil of intelligence on hammer. I have only 30% base crit, but I do get to 2900 power without might stacks…. That, along with 212 crit damage is what gets you the best damage out of hammer, without completely forgoing survivability. Usually, you wont do more then 5 attacks while in hammer, three of them are now guarantueed crits.

It is not called sigil of intelligence because you get smarter from it, though. Expect your opponent to try even harder to make you miss when he sees the intelligence icon on your bar.

Could you explain how you get 2.9K power without might stacks though?? I use Cavalier Weapon and Ascended cavalier backpiece and accessories, rest zerker and hoelbrak. With 4 0 6 0 4 I get 2.5K power without stacks AND with food.

So you saw that too?
I got 2808 with full zerk except only 2 trinkets are cav. Also I have runes of the pack.

Thats with Gaurd stacks, Food sharpening stones and steak dinner 100 Power and Minor borderland bloodlust. With same traits as him. Thats with NO might stacks or bloodlust sigil stacks as he claims. If I use signet of rage I gots 2983 Power.

Smells like bull skritt.

To get the most out of merciless hammer you combo it. It does more damage that way.

Back breaker and Fierce blow are your two big DPS skills. You want to land them while the enemy is stunned or knocked down. So to do MAX DPS on a single target. It might look somthing like this.

Swap weapons at full adrenaline and pro the intel sigil. Next three hits will crit.

Earthshaker/Backbreaker/Fierce Blow/stagering blow.

Swap

Rush/WWA etc

Now If you are full zerk that can 100 to zero most people. In just that combo.

The above post its fine for guild groups or zerging, probably not the best min max that I have ever seen with that build though. I have seen much better use of gear mixing to get 30% crit chance.

However thats not what the OP is asking for. He says he is running destroyer build so automatically we know he wants a roaming build or a DPS build for small fights.

Sigils Id use Intel in the hammer so you get Big Crits when you lock somone down. Hydromancy is good here and so is Fire or Air as well as energy of course.

You know you can just preview the skins in the wardrobe you dont have to won them…By going to your bank and clicking wardrobe.

I prefer Vigil shoulders over arah shoulders though cuz it is more balancing the large hood.

Hi, Daecollo here! Master warrior suggestion master and friend to many!

This is my report on things, bugs, upgrades and buffs that I feel the warrior deserves after their new and recent nerfs. I will not be improving any current meta builds the warrior has now, only their underused and mostly useless traits. My first focus is mostly on the Mace and the Tactics line of skills, for these are the most underused things in the game and nobody will deny how bad they are.

New Tactics’s Minor Traits

5: Reviver’s Might
Gain “3” Might when you revive someone.

15: Fierceness
Gain Swiftness and Might when you gain Fury.
(2) Might: 8 s
Swiftness: 8 s
(10 second internal cooldown.)

25: Impair
Cripple deals damage; it deals additional damage if the target is not moving.
Damage – if not moving: 222
Damage – if moving: 148
(0.2*Condition Damage)


Mace changes:
Pulverize:
Reduce Activation by 50% instead of 25%, lower the base damage and coefficient by 17%.

Counterblow:
Cool-down reduced to 8 seconds. Now bashes your foe and block attacks. Each block gains you a strike of adrenaline. Block lasts 1½ seconds. This is like Power Stab.

Pommel Bash:
Cool-down reduced to 12 seconds. Daze and Cripple your foe with a Pommel Bash Cripple Duration: 5 seconds Increase Base Damage by 400% (It is a very very very low damage skill. Seriously even with 400% damage it still does less then most ‘3’ skills.)

Skull Crack:
Range Increased to 200 and now cleaves up to 2 targets.


BUGS:

More on Tactic’s and other traits.
The “Unlisted” Bugs or Ninja Nerfs to Warrior These are traits I believe should be looked at, I don’t understand why they were changed without warning or reason, a lot of these traits were underused.

Empowered: This started as 3% damage per boon, then was changed to 2% Damage Per boon, now 1%. We don’t have even have 1/3 many boons as guardians and elementalists and this isn’t a 5/15/25 Free Trait, I don’t understand why this was changed/nerfed. I honestly think if this trait stays the same it should be our new tactics “Minor Trait”.

When Bountiful Power was nerfed, it also nerfed Empowered. It should be changed back immediately. We lost so much damage due to moving our traits to grandmaster.

Desperate Power: This was changed from 25% Threshold to 50% to counter the Berserker’s Power, Heightened Focus was moved from adept to grandmaster traits and to improve skills nobody used. In the 15 Oct 2013 patch however, this went back from 50% to 25% with no warning or reason? Not many people used that trait, and now like before, nobody does.

Furious: As you can see in the notes above: June 25th, it was changed from 1 strike to three strikes because it was an underused trait, much like Desperate Power. I don’t understand why this trait is a Grandmaster, it honestly sucks pretty badly. I would like it changed back from 1 to 3 or change the ability all-together. Honestly Furious should be a 10 or minor trait, not a grandmaster.

Not many people used these traits, nore did they complain about them. Why were they changed back, did Anet simply forget about them when they patched into the game? To this day I don’t see why these were changed, they were even admitted by the developers themselves for being notoriously bad and underwhelming and that is why they were changed.

Wahoo! Good day friends! Let us hope we have a reason to use Tactics and Mace soon!

Burst Skills need a Boost.

Flurry is not hard to land, it cleaves, with very unnoticeable animation. Even at 1 or 2 bar, you get really good bleed damage out of it. Every conditional warrior uses it.

Edit also melee/or condition it makes u vulnerable while channeling you are basically a sitting duck. That being said the amount of bleed stacks it gives is not fantastic you get just as many from a few auto attacks it doesn’t do that much damage.

It does root you only when the attack lands. While the attack is activating, it does not root you. And once it root you, all you have to do is move to break it, no need for stow weapon. It doesn’t make you sitting duck if you cancel it. If its 1v1 its not a problem, if another melee try to hit you, they will get hit as well by bleed or 100b.

It is a bit harder to land since you do have to close the gap, but the activation to immob is pretty fast. So Sw2 close the gap wait out any potential dodges, then Sw f1, its not hard to land, often you can hit more than 1 target too.

Edit: the damage is actually very good. My shout-heal condition build does around 5 to 6k bleed plus 1k of physical damage. It is fast high stack bleed hence it often doesn’t get cleansed. Kind of a burst damage on the conditional build. Definitely has its use. I am not going to say no to a buff, but frankly I don’t think there is a need.

On a Power side, sw-sh/GS will be viable. We will have quiet a few cc then with Sh4, bull charge, furry, with FS, AS and Furry -> FS or 100b not to mention brawler’s recovery will make warrior’s very resilient against conditions.

I think we will be fine. Yeah its a overall nerf to warrior diversity, since any non-aoe burst got a hit. But if you are getting hit + switching weapons + doing some hitting, you should have 2 to 3 bars of adren when the burst come off of cooldown. It is not that bad. Cele axe bow probably got the biggest nerf here. Otherwise anything uses GS (Skull-cracker, axe GS, hammer GS, sw GS) might actually be a bit of buff, since AS buff we basically get a new skill to use, a powerful one, with 360 degree aoe.

Were talking about 2 different things here. I think you know what I am talking about but you don’t know why I and others are saying it.

This we agree
It does root you when it lands. Now since you have to land it lets just agree it roots you, no trying to beat around the bush.

Things we dont agree on.
Needing to stow weapon. Yes in fact you do need to do this if you land the burst skill then want to use final thrust while the target is immobilized.

How much damage it does. Lets be pretty clear that the majority of swords damage is located on final thrust. Not the burst skill and certainly bleeds on their own are not viable in competitive levels of PVP. The physical part of flurry is crap. It not only grants zero adrenaline but and auto attack does more damage. Since you are stowing weapon to use final thrust the bleeds are inconsequential further more you can do just as much bleeding damage with auto attacks in roughly the same amount of time for a full channel. If your bleeds get condi cleared like you know how good players play especially since thats what we are talking about then ya. Point made here. Flurry is crap becasue you have to use tricks in game just to get good use out of it.

Warriors are not top tier and wont be anywhere close to it. Some of these are long overdo and welcomed changes.
If you are good, they are a major nerf. If bad, well. . . re roll a ranger

The premise of the suggestion to boost burst skills is that if ANET is going to introduce such a high risk for using burst skills than those burst skills need to not only work a lot better than they currently do and not have bugs or be ridiculously hard to use because how bad they are designed. But also be a lot more rewarding and a lot better than they are currently. Because the Risk will not match the reward.

Otherwise as has been preciously said if ANET can not properly balance their proposed idea than the suggestion is for them not to make some of these changes.

Flurry is not hard to land, it cleaves, with very unnoticeable animation. Even at 1 or 2 bar, you get really good bleed damage out of it. Every conditional warrior uses it.

As always, Daecollo is crazy.

At least Daecollo has foresight enough to grasp the problems of ANET introducing such a change without changing the burst skills themselves.

We chatted about it for awhile and both agreed that that the way burst skills are currently designed and implemented is incompatible with the change ANET is proposing. Currently warrior burst skills are designed and implemented to not only give obvious tells, most of them are designed to be challenging to land because of the obvious tells and clunky design.

Thus the impact of not updating burst skills to make them compatible with let me be clear as said in another thread “they are being held to a standard that doesn’t exist for other classes.” in that other classes skills simply go on CD hit or miss, warriors will lose all adrenaline in addition too where they lose the ability to cleanse conditions, sustain themselves through passive healing, and output damage generated from adrenal based passives like heightened focus.

It is pretty rough I know that some people would love to see warriors nerfed but we are not talking about nerfing warriors here if this change goes through we are talking about bringing warriors back down to free bag status and nonviable in PVP status.

Why because Burst skills some of them are hard as hell to land now, and warriors already face serious consequences for not landing and can already make the difference between winning and losing. Plus there are tons or possible scenarios where a warrior can fail to land a busrt skill that has nothing to do with them or the target such as interference from another team mate knocking the target back, getting blinded, busrt skill simply bugging out cuz quite frankly some of them are buggy. Now if you lag woops no adrenaline great.

Due to the changes coming to adrenaline, a lot of warriors are fearing for the future. Weapons like Axe, Mace, Sword F1 skills are barely used as is in competitive levels of SPVP and TPVP, because of how hard they are to actually land. I myself have many issues with these skills and the fact you pretty much need to land hard or soft CC, or play an asura to hit them.

If the proposed changes are made final.

Facts we know:
- Adrenaline now decays out of combat.
- Adrenaline now goes away when you miss.
- Cleansing Ire does not proc when you miss.

Based on these changes, I propose several changes to the following traits and burst skills. Adrenaline has been nerfed throughout the years over time. The damage traits were moved to grandmaster from adept for example. Everything should reflect how the changes are now.

The following suggestions are to promote “active” play, moreso then “passive”. I myself want to see warriors as one of the hardest to play professions. I want to keep the suggestions short and simple right now so I’ve lowered them down to four.

Traits:

Adrenal Health:
Heal yourself when you gain a bar of Adrenaline.
Healing: 360 (0.5*hp)?

This change makes it so adrenal health isn’t a passive heal, you have to skillfully build around and constantly channel your rage and use skills to build it up to heal yourself, rather then just waiting and sitting on it. It also fixes the problem of it being too weak.

This also goes well with warrior skills that gain adrenaline.

Burst Skills and Asura:

For all burst skills, Asura players now gain rocket boots and have a unique sound associated with them, animations have been altered to be a little better as well as each attack has its own sound. For example when an asura uses eviserate you hear the rocket boots from their feet before it happens so you know when to dodge.

The sound cue alone would be a great way to balance asura vs the other warrior classes.

Flurry:
Immobilize your foe and gain quickness. Effect increases with adrenaline level.
Damage: 256
Level 1 immobilize and quickness: 2 s
Level 2 immobilize and quickness: 3 s
Level 3 immobilize and quickness: 4 s
Range: 160

This turns flurry into a self buff that also immobilizes your target, the quickness will allow you to get the same stack of bleeds you would have if you used the normal skills anyways with the autoattack. However you are now fully mobile. Its a unique idea that makes it skillful and adds counter play as well.


Skull Crack:
Stun your foe with a skull crack. Effect increases with adrenaline level.
Damage: 434 (1.5)?
Stun: 1 s
Stun: 2 s
Stun: 3 s
Range: 200

Skull crack now cleaves up to 3 targets and has a range increase. This is to increase usability and punish people who stand close to eachother in PvP.


Eviserate:
Leap at your foe with a devastating attack. Effect increases with adrenaline level.
Damage Level 1 damage: 672 (2.0)?
Damage Level 2 damage: 840 (2.5)?
Damage Level 3 damage: 1,008 (3.0)?
Combo Finisher: Leap
Range: 600

Range of the attack doubled and now cleaves up to 3 targets. However it remains just as slow. Tracking should also be improved because of this. There is a bug right now because of its low range that it can miss simply by running into the player who uses it.

ANET Please do not change Adrenaline

I propose the following change instead.

If a warrior misses a burst skill the skill goes on a longer cooldown similar to Ride the Lightning. Thank you. Otherwise do not touch adrenaline at all.

Burst skills are already easy enough to dodge at high levels of game play. You have made a point to give them obvious tells and or long wind ups. Making warriors lose all adrenaline when being blinded or dodged or CCed by a player because the tells are obvious enough is too much of a hit to warriors.

No other profession is as severely penalized for missing skills, including the case of RTL it goes on a longer cool down but elses dont need adrenaline to use it. Its too much.

PS. The change to signet of rage makes zero sense. The other changes to adrenaline involving leaving combat seem fine.

If you are doing this all because of how the Long Bow burst skill works that rewrite the code on the longbow.

The change to Signet of Rage will make this change less of a problem. The combination of SoR and Berserker Stance will see you gain a larger amount of adrenaline overtime, especially if you’re smart enough to use your adrenaline early before the duration of BS (haha, BS) expires.

50% increased adrenaline from SoR is a very minor buff. You’re only going to see a benefit from it if a fight lasts more than 45+ seconds. You’re still getting more out of using it instead of waiting on the passive.

It’s almost like they thought they had to give us something to compensate for all the nerfs and chose the most useless way to do it.

Dirame you are kidding right? So unless we use SoR and Zerkers Stance then the profession isn’t viable anymore? The SoR is a very minor buff It barely gave much adrenaline before that most people activated when ever it was off CD. The zerkers stance is a flat out nerf. What about people who don’t use either they use Battle Standard or now rampager since ANET seems to want warriors to use it now. And use other utilties besides zerkers stance. That isn’t a compensation its a oversight and an attempt fix a profession that is being over nerfed by an unnecessary change that doesn’t even come close to helping.

Anyways so instead of crying about nerfs my suggestion to ANET is this.

Increase the recharge of burst skills from 10 seconds to 20 seconds if a burst skill is missed. Approaches the same problem. Similar to Ride the Lighting nerf. And that if you land RTL the cool down is normal.

This way it penalizes players for missing but not in a adverse way.

I got a message from someone clarifying that your adrenaline is spent regardless hit or miss so this is actually a buff/nerf. So in all reality it is maybe not so bad if this is true.

However if it is true that it does not as other posted. Warrior going to have a very difficult time with sustain. Not becasue they are not geating cleasin ire but because of cc/damage reduction w/ reduction of adrinal healing making it probably one of the weaker professions in pvp especially at high levels of game play..

Everyone needs to understand there is a huge differnce between giving a skill lets say a 20 second cd or whatever CD it is and a skills CD based on 30 bars of adrenaline. Which bares the question if you cannot land a burst skill on somone becasue they are good at dodging than what is the likely hood of you landing attacks on them to build another 30 bars. And if your burst skill is dodged becasue the other player is good than I think its going to be GG for the warrior.

Lmao this is so true. Good luck squinting your eyes trying to dodge those “highly telegraphed” bursts from min size asura warriors, which is 99% of warriors nowadays.

u cant dodge Kill shot uninstall the game. 99% of warriors are assuras? doesn’t even sound like a believable statement. And how about balancing assuras then siince any class can abuse the small size. Nerf necros cuz all necros are assuras and assuras are OP kk.

Nerfs were to be expected but why not just give burst skills a longer CD.

This change is great. I don’t see how people can be oblivious to that.
Now a Warrior won’t actually get benefits from not landing his skills (Adrenal Health), but will get punished if the opponent is decent. You claim that burst skills are now:
Highly Telegraphed
Low Damage
Basically useless.
Then let’s take a look at the cooldown for a second.
10 seconds is standard for any burst skill, and can be lowered to 7 3/4 with Burst Mastery. The damage on some Burst Skills are among the highest base damages in the game.
So. What you’re actually mad about is that the warrior’s burst skills now function more like any other high-reward/high-risk skill.
Like for instance; Fire Grab.
Base damage against burning foes is slightly lower than eviscerate, but has a 45 second CD compared to the base 10 of Eviscerate. Eviscerate is also a gap-closer.
Seems fine, since the warrior’s class-mechanic obviously has to be better than a random ele-skill.
But I seriously do not get your whine.

Adrenaline Gain > simple CDs. Besides the 2 utilities to instantly get adrenaline To get 3 bars of adrenaline normally without cleasin IRE or any trait that grants extra adrinaline typically 1 strike of adrenaline per 1 hit that lands. So here you really don’t understand game mechanics.

Eles cool downs are long becasue they have how many 20 skills? and How many utilites.

This is gonna make playing warrior a lot more strategic and skill-based — I think the biggest hit here is the adrenaline rework.

I don’t think it’s all too bad warriors know a hit was coming, I think this one was fairly reasonable in that it’s gonna force warriors to stop sleeping while playing.

I agree as well.

I’m particularly interested in the new Arcing strike skill for greatsword. During the stream, his fully channeled hundred blades did 6k damage on 2.6k toughness golems, while the arcing strike crit for 5.6k. If that skill hits anywhere near a fully channeled hundred blades, it’ll be a monster. Even so, I think axe might still be taken over greatsword for PvP.

REALLY? 5.6k? Wow.. that is gonna be good!

I think this is a good change anyway because in PvP how often do you really get a full 100b off? Takes just the perfect situation — but this way the warrior will have more burst options in the event that one thing fails.

I rewatched it. The hundred blades hit for 6.6k, and arcing strike crit for 5.8k. The animation’s pretty freakin’ fast, and it’s an AoE. Seriously seems like a very useful skill.

Ya I was surprised to see this looked like ANET may have read our posts. Someone Awile back proposed adding 2 handed axes to the game and the burst skill was called executioner. However the penalty for missing a burst skills are too severe because the tells are already too obvious with some sort of wonky issues with some burst skills working to begin with coupled with already past damage nerfs of those skills.

So now not only is it easy to dodge or kite but your skill goes on CD like any other skill in the game and use lose all adrenaline doesn’t seem fair some of the burst skills dont do more damage than normal skills that everyone has already with added tells that a lot of these other skills dont have.
