Some things could be toned down some. I don’t like the idea of bunkers and I don’t like the low risk high reward game play at all. Its great for new players of low skilled individuals though.

ANET made a mistake of buffing classes that didn’t need buffed. That were not in a terrible state of the game to begin with.

Medium? lol no for anyone that is decent condi warrior was easy mode cheese. Even a new player could play condi warrior and beat the average skill less players in WvW.

That being said Condi warrior was never good…unless it was small fights and you had others to carry you. Or 1v1s…

My advices is to try to learn to get better and stop playing easy mode cheese specs that only work against some players. Hop on the zerker train your life will be better.

Pretty sure its useless to go anything but hammer on a warrior. What damage can u do that a necro, ele, engi cant do better. What single target range do u have that a ranger cant do better. Warrior have a job ofcourse you are welcome to play however you wan’t but no organized group or guild will want you running with them.

2h axe i wish, but anet said they are not adding anmore new weapons to the game. Torch sounds reasonable.

I dont think quick breathing is so bad on PS in some pugs that aren’t carrying any cleanse. Like I could see it helpful on an arah path gone wrong lol. But I don’t see why we do sword/warhorn and not axe warhorn in some sticky situation.

Your build is situational at best and I would never run this build. If I needed to use cleanse I would hot swap my mace for a horn change the trait then undo those changes immediately after the situation.

ANET has now dumb down this game so much that I am not even sure why does this thread even exist.

No offense to the OP but this is not rocket science stuff anymore not that it ever was.

I am not sure NIKEs videos are necessary anymore other than reiteration the importance of basic game mechanics to new people and his followers.

I wouldn’t bother with pure axe dual wielding regardless. Not before and Not after the patch its inferior.

If you must you go GS/Axe-Axe 6/6/0/0/6

Spin with your axe to fill adrin then evicerate swap then hit 100b. Then hit GS burst. You will have no problem keeping full adrin even without furios.

The new spiked armor combined with thick skin. Means your going to transition from 120 to 150. your going to have 270 situationally after the 1st hit. And every 15 secs you will proc the 150. What your asking for has already been addressed you just don’t see the big picture.

Considering that in PVP u are not going to want dual axes it is only 150.

Its guard and warrior is the best everything else is opinions of people.

And I would but ELE after warrior, everything else is meh.

Uh u can set them all to low or none except for character limit. Character limit has to be atleast medium or u wont see animations.

Well I wouldn’t mind if destruction of empowered also increased your damage to PVE creatures. Like give it a slayer tonic effect in addition to what it does now. So that keeps the flat damage bonus only working on PVE creatures while preserving the way the trait currently works now in PVP.

I wont miss 00626 60606 is ridiculously stronger.
I cant really speak for all of the aids cancer but from everything I saw condi warrior is going to be way stronger.

Discipline is extremely strong if its PVP or WvW. It doesn’t need buffed.

Evicerate might hit a little harder than now but becasue you have 4 more trait points. 4 extra trait points don’t mean a lot of damage.

The build in general has higher DPS. Not the skill itself.

You cant make it better because its a PS build. I think nike told me in the other thread that there is no reason to swap weapons in PVE anymore or somthing. Even so heightened focous seems like it is a good dps increase if you are not using PS.

Zende that is a good thing. It also means cripple and chill dont effect its distance.

uh? not more than it does now. It wasn’t buffed. There is no changes to make it hit harder. The dps changes are all based on what comes after a burst skill is used.

Uh. I don’t think any warriors really cared for the old system. You were basically forced into the same traits and builds all the time. The changes are not so radical that anyone is going to miss their old build because all the new builds based on the old ones are better. Hope OP you realize this. If not than i dont even know.

The only build warrior loses is rifle and power based dual wielding builds. Neither one of them were that great.

There was a couple changes like that you cant now take last stand and cleansing ire but most of the new traitlines dont have so many terrible choices.

Pretty sure it will have something to do with dual wielding.

For power its dead for Condi it will be great. Condi dual wielding got a significant buff.

I agree with tactics over defense now. I’m not sold on passive shake it off. It a lot of time is wasted at the beginning of the fight. Or clears condis that are of no threat.

I think EA would be better.

With the trait and inspiring shouts and trooper runes. You healing surge. Removes 1 condi, is a 24 sec CD, grants 5 might, grants 25 endurance to u and allies, heals your allies for like 2k, heals you for probably around 8k +, grants u full adrin. It becomes the defacto heal.

Instead of healing for over 8000, the new healing surge heals for 6450, and vigorous shouts heals for closer to 1500, not 2000. Furthermore, all those effects sans 5 might apply even without restorative strength. 5 might isn’t what will make or break the heal.

ie. literally just shout warriors. Without those prior enhancements, healing surge does not compete with even mending now, let alone healing signet.

If you are shouts you have 10 healing power per might stack so real world healing will be 8k to 10k.. Depending on might stacks.

I really think your figure of 15oo is wrong. But even if you are right.

6450+1500+50 healing power just from the 5 might stacks and you will have way more might than this is 8k+…

Warrior damage was nerfed but not anywhere the near 80%. It seems pretty obvious to me that Warlord was just exaggerating to get the point across that the nerfs accumulated to huge losses overall.

From before ferocity rolled out up until right about now, warrior’s DPS with 65003 was nerfed by roughly 30%. This is an estimate based off of the damage used to hit compared to what I hit now.

But the thing about this 30% number is that some of the larger nerfs weren’t warrior-exclusive and affected all classes. However one huge one was a nerf to the might boon which kind of impacted warrior a lot because of the forceful GS trait.

It doesn’t matter anymore to me however, since the changes overall for PvE warrior are beneficial.

The only two large complaints that I have are:

a) Arms has some overall pretty crappy options, especially at the Master level. :/
b) Banners were nerfed pretty badly due to the inspiring banners trait being completely removed. I would have expected this to become either baseline or for sure left in the tactics line, as it is one of the most often used traits in dungeons/fractals. It’s bizarre to me that they completely removed it.

thank you and yeah i know he was exaggerating but warlord is doing this so often and it isnt helping the community to rage about the changes so i wanted to carefully and extensively show him that it isnt as bad as he thinks. warriors will always have a role in pve with banners and might support. the major changes as u and i said were universal changes like the might one. i also dont understand why they removed inspiring banners and i really hope its merged with inspiring banners or baseline. this update in a whole is beneficial as u now dont have to sacrifice personal dps for phalanx so imo he shouldnt complain so much as other classes have way bigger problems.

You got the response you got because I am smart enough to know when I am being trolled by someone. Trolling is no good for the community at all. And you showed me nothing. Ya were only talking about GS and PVE but when I say warrior I mean warrior in general, and every game mode build skill.

Unlike most the people who play PVE I play every game mode including non official ones. Class has received so many nerfs, there are obscure ninja nerfs that most people arn’t even aware of.

I don’t have time to sit here and list every singe nerf that I haven’t been keeping track of to a troll that presents himself as an expert that should obviously know already because I don’t care enough,

This patch is positive and I think that I un-does a lot of the warrior nerfs. But the point I was making is a lot of classes got buffs they didn’t even need and were no where close to the poor state warrior was in pre patch.

It may not be 80% but I can guarantee its more than 30% and I think these changes don’t even put us back to where we were before the adrin, crit, might, 100b,and axe nerfs. Becasue we gained buffs but we also gained nerfs while receiving buffs.

I never complained. I stated truth even if it was exaggerated.

Good place for you to start is when zerkers power and heightened focus were adept traits then read everything between then and now. Direct and indirect.

I don’t think we play the same game or u are new. Both builds are viable but i think in some of the arms traits are pretty useless to and I don’t know when a power warrior needs condi damage. Must be for MLG bleed stack damage off your auto proc.

You don’t lose that much might uptime swaping when u get 4 might on swap with battle and GM minor trait.

use sigil of energy bcuz its always been better. the new warrior heal grants 25 endurance to u and your allies when u use it. Probably why vigor is getting nerfed. and somthing other than signet of stamina bcuz there are better things to use.

Good idea would be so cool if they did that. but it wont happen.

I don’t see any point to take this over shouts for pvp or PS for pve. It seems like a useless trait. It might be better if a warrior had any other fields besides fire. But still not good.

Your kidding right? Axe was really good at one time. last time it was really good all its cleave damage wasn’t located at the end of the final hit. It was located in the middle of the chain and pure axe warriors had optimal damage without finishing the axe chain.

Were you even playing the game back then. Bcuz if you were it wasn’t impossible to do like over 100,000 damage with 100 blades solo.

I am sad to see there isnt viable dual wield option my only guess is that is becuz it will be the elite specialization.

Unless you live under a rock warrior has been nerfed by like 80%. So a 30% buff doesn’t even bring us back to where we were. No other class but thief has receive as many damage nerfs as warrior, while every other class has been power creeped and are still getting buffed.

You could however go mace/shield-Riffle

Instead of 100 blades after skull crack you do vollly. And you pick up burst precison for 100% chance for kill shot with an auo proc signet of might.

but it would still be so much weaker.

Arms is a good line for Valkrie and Cav, and soldiers.

I don’t think traitlines effect your stats anymore Power or otherwise.

Traits effect your power. It just so happens that the arms traitline has none of these traits in it besides the nerfed grandmaster minor. All the other Arms traits are either condi or chance to crit.

However if you are going to use a sword in a power build you may want to take arms. But its not mandatory you do so.

I don’t disagree, however these talking points have been beat into the ground. Welcome to the forums. We argued this like 100 times already. The way you described it is how it used to work. Warrior got nerfed bcuz some guy who played a engi or somthing at a video game show that anet was at complained becasue he was bad. and ANET listen to him bcuz they wanted to throw warriors under the buss bcuz they got tired of rangers complaining about getting wrecked bcuz they were bad.

The only reason to take arms for a power build is for the auto proc signet of stength. Is it really worth it? NO!!!

You can take restorative Str and get 5 stacks of might when poping ur heal. Josh also mentioned Frenzy now gives 5 stacks of might.

This has got to be the toughest choice in the Discipline line for warriors. Do you go with situational DPS increase or do you choose regen.

Despite all of the changes this one has to be the most underrated. Lots of people have mentioned they will take this trait with inspiring shouts to be ultimate bunker.

For a DPS warrior though this trait is great though. Finally you don’t have to go 6 into tactics to get more sustain. So as a DPS warrior you pick up all DPS related traits and choose this.

You get to do damage and have a sustain buff. So this right here. Maybe a GS/Hammer WvW build but with a banner. Its great.

Other than the adrin saving of busrt mastery, it doesn’t help hammers at all after the earth shaker had its damage nerfed into the ground.
