The only stat that matters is that, today, DB and FA and TC are in the Tier containing the #4, #5, and #6 servers in our dolyak race.

I just started my 3rd toon (sylvari > asura > norn). Going to asura after the sylvari made me feel like the Roadrunner. Going from asura to norn makes me feel like Lurch.

If you want to stick with D/D to level go ahead, but you’ll need to work on avoid damage with your dodges and timing Leaping Death Blossom to evade big incoming hits. It will help to either soften things up from range with secondary set Shortbow; or secondary set offhand Pistol for Black Powder’s blind field.

You will not be standing toe to toe with mobs otherwise. Thief, you MUST move/mitigate incoming damage.

Ambush (Trap) might help you because it gives you another source of damage and if the mobs hit the other guy, they’re not hitting you. Caltrops can help with damage too. You just need to work on juggling when to hit things, when to let things bleed, and when to haul kitten.

If you really want to get your sneaky on, practice using Cloak and Dagger so that you tap the mob right after you reappear so you go straight back into stealth. This will come in handy if you get into WvW one day. *big grin*

You might want to take Withdraw as your healing skill just for the extra evade with a decent heal tacked on. That or Signet of Malice for the small heals on attacks. Experiment with everything until you find what seems to work for you.

But D/D can be a rough row to hoe when learning thief. The other sets are much more forgiving without being leveled up with help from traits and spiffy gear.

Keep at it and keep checking the maps to see if your side is making a push to what you need. It only took me like 7 weeks to finish it on my first toon without getting any organize pushes going. I failed to reach the Vista I needed in front of the reclaiming zergs by less than half a minute THREE times in that period.

Just keep on trying, but not too hard. It will happen.

If you’re repairing it just for the sake of the Wxp... just... I cannot express my feeling in words in such a way that will not get banhammered. But Mystic... jedi?... yeah MJ’s got the right idea.

I dunno. War is supposed to be siegy. Cover is supposed to be your friend. You don’t see lone soldiers not named Rambo running out and assaulting fortifications. The whole point of siege was to break down fortifications without getting yourself killed in the process. You’re not supposed to get yourself killed until you try to exploit the breach... Well, not supposed to not supposed. You know what I mean.

Siege should be overpowered and that in turn makes supply much more precious. It makes taking and keeping supply camps more important. I think it tilts things so that WvW favors offense even more. If you’re pinned trying to hold keeps/towers you will run out of supply while the attackers siege you to pieces.

I think defense needs to be more proactive at calling threats and preventing the loss of camps. If you’re "occupied" defending then the attackers are just going to outsupply you eventually.

My opinions, not playing all that much WvW since I’m still trying to find myself with my necro. Map completion. Daily laurels. All that.

But yeah, they may have overdid the arrow cart thing a tad.
