I’m P/D and I tend to avoid large fights. Really, how exciting the fight can be depends on how risky you like to play, and your utility loadout.

Don’t be afraid to lob Cluster Bomb in from way out. Don’t forget it’s a great blast finisher, spammable to boot. People will love you LOTS for spammed Might on Fire fields and heals from Water fields.

Between Hide and Shadows, Shadow Refuge, Blinding Powder, and Cloak and Dagger, you can be a rez/stomp machine in the chaos.

Caltrops can be hilarious if the enemy zerg doesn’t notice it quick enough.

When all else fails, amuse yourself by seeing how long you can Zerf Surf. Zurf? We should totally call it Zurfing.

It’s my personally belief that some armors have an underlying base color that sorta mixes with what you’re dyeing it with. Those boots get green and bright easily.

I’m glad I like this dark n’ purple look I run with.

I would recommend getting Lich form, epidemic, and some minions and see if you enjoy them.

In an ideal world, you would have to think about trait selections. If "this is the only one worth taking" crosses your mind, then they need to do something about the ones that aren’t, or tweak the one that stands out above the rest.

There shouldn’t be auto "no-brainers" unless they’re core to your build concept. There also shouldn’t be traits that flat-out-suck either. I’m not sure there will ever be true balance, but at least we’re not the ones stuck on a highwire.

I’ve leveled thief and necro, working mesmer now, and I think you can’t really know a class until you get it to 80. You can look at all the builds and opinions, backed by others’ experience of course, but you have to use the tools the way you use them to know if it works for you.

I tweaked my necro build last night, again! I’m more of an in-and-out at 900 range guy. You have to find that spot where the stars align for you. Playstyle, traits, skills, gear. Tweak tweak tweak. You know when you’re close, and you know when it just feels wrong. Once you get it just right, yeaaah boooy!

You might be better off hitting sPvP hard with different builds. Give each build a few nights to see how it goes. I still have nights where I’m like a lil asura death engine, and I still have nights where I’m like a lil asura engine that died on the interstate. Point is, you need to try classes at 80 with the full trait load to really see how it flies.

There’s something wonderful about that magic moment in a crowd where you actually get Epidemic to hit someone with 25 stacks of bleed with other conditions on too.

Is this the running naked to someone or the running naked away from someone? They are similar, but not quite the same. Some people have more fun with one than the other.

1) Over the past few weeks it has appeared that TC and FA are leaving each other alone to concentrate on DB.

DB did not simply walk into Tier 2. They came in all RAWR, went green, and that’s when things tend to get mean. But we all have our ups and downs in WvW. Helps with teh dr4m4. And NARFness. But it has been fun.
