power ranger just pew pew u from 1500 where u cant really catch them u get close enough then u eat point blank shot and by the time dark path arrives on them (cause so kitten slow) you r already dead

i’m at the start of my match and i’m running to a point but unlike the ranger i dont have a 1200 leap
this isnt about me going solo against a power ranger the point is at the start of the match its hard for a necro to hold its own
things would not have ended differently vs medi guard or a warrior or engi
basically we HAVE to stick with a teammate to become useful later and the the trade off isnt mega awesome great
and me having to stick with 2v1 in the beginning puts my team in a tactical disadvantage anyway
spectral grasp is buggy and said ranger can stealth which don really help
dont even get me going on life blasts =.= so disgusting i never get it off
and consume conditions- that stuff is wayyyy too slow many times i had to dodge and end up cancel it
I rather LF be a constant degenerating resource that grant us reduced damage taken or/and life regeneration and we can build it through normal weapon/utilitys and death shroud allows us to spend the life force at faster rate but give us access to more rewarding skills

i get out of death shroud and i still 7 second on consume conditions

guys I’m kind new to my necro so i kinda suck (i been playign warrior all dis time) only played 130 ish matches on my nec using the standard power necro but man recently i noticed some things that happens very often
part 1:
1 i walk to a point to try to capture it
2 a power ranger shows up before i can get there (obviously)
3 said ranger shoots me with barrage
4 i double dodge to avoid the damage
5 it does that aoe rain of arrow thing
6 i loose half of my hp before i even engage him
7 i’m dead after it does a greatsword chain
all this time i barely built up any life force
part 2:
1 medi guard teleport in and down me cause i have no lifeforce
2 end of story
cant we at least get a quarter bar of life force to work with in the beginning of the match???
this sort of stuff dosnt happen on my warrior because i can try to endru pain /bock the high damaging stuff when i know i’m being spiked- i mean ranger’s long bow is obvious that i’m getting shot at but as necro at the beginning of the match i literally dont feel like i can do anything against it?- maybe spectral armor? but i still take the damage in the process
edit: the fact that lots of our skills are in the death shroud hinders us even more because we cant even use the godkitten thing till we build it up

also i want to add: make the auto attack in Lich form launch scythes instead of claws
its so boring to see a replicated staff projectile.
and yes i think it would be fair to make it transfer conditions in unholy Mytar, it ould make it very build defining and interesting to play.
aside that we really need a cast/recast reduction on that life blast

bro the problem is still the wait part i mean if u wait for too long then dodging would be meaningless no? i am new to necro so i practiced him for a couple weeks and when i went back to guard for a day for pvp and i feel like a speed demon
the pre cast+ after cast is 1.4 seconds according to the wiki imo 1.4 is too much. 1.25 would be better
So many times I’m charging a life blast and had to dodge and end up cancelling it

The thing is necro’s huge cast time poise our lack of stability makes us more vulnerable to CCs compared to eles. Our lack of condition removal in death shroud allows blind to destroy the main damage source in death shroud
It’s kitten hard to pull off a life blast on anything in a team fight
Just like our under water version, faster channel but less damage, hell the under water version even transfer conditions and have same damage a cross all distance, no reason that land version should be weaker
EDIT: test in the same zone
the under water version’s damage is 116 cast speed 1/2 and transfer conditions
the land version is 115 and damage is162 if enemies are within 600 distance and cast time is 1 second
the underwater version is much more powerful consider on land i have axe training and ascended weapons

i got 2 today from my necro – i guess necro suck at pve but pays it back hard
so its not a case of me being bad its simply some guy thinking he was so very good and making up numbers~
only way i can see 12k happen is on a 25 vuln stacked mesmer with 25 might 25stack of blood lust in wvw
which u prolly dont get very often
i just come back to this game and wanted to see if the changes to warrior does anything at all, this guy tells me how good arcing slice is and how he hits with it 11-12k consistently on players. which i find weird since the thing is lower than a stage 1 eviscerate-
i argued on how that skill is not gonna hit that much and he got mad- called me a bad player and blocked me
so i did a test on light golems with 2 banners- 6 2 0 0 6 with all the damage traits i can possibly stack

i’d say that that stats in a player v player is hard to beat
the hardest i ever hit under these experimental condition was 9.5k. I dont understand how people make 12ks with out banners and its very hard to imagine getting 24 stacks of vuln on someone

K first of all i played warrior class since Beta, and second of all, i played it for over 70% of my play time never the less i have 4 level 80s so i ll give my inputs:
my experienced on the other classes:
Guardian was my second 80 it was similar to warrior but more active in play-style. their support is wonderful and when used at the right time can be very contributing tot he party. the class was similar to warrior. i loved my guardian but it does not have the feeling of brute force that i enjoyed on my warrior but now that is reversed since warrior pve dps is kitten crap and I pvp better with my medi guard.
Engineer was pure fun, grade tossing- you are a moving artillery not much to say, very fun to stand on a hill and bombard people
my final 80 was Necromancer, i hate casters but necromancer was different, they felt more physical, and was like a warrior in caster form, i spent great deal of time leveling him because he was made after the patch that made traits harder to get, but it was well worth the reward. I play him full zerk in dungeons- watched my party members die and i solo the boss, i dont think the dps was up there but its higher than warriors, now its no contest.
Warrior
since the beta up until the warrior revamp god know how long go was a year of pure bliss , started out as signet warrior, figuring out the game, sucked in dungeons till found shout-heal, and was able to play better. good old 10 30 0 30 0 was it, decent damage, wonderful support and sustain allowed the crappy me to beat dungeons and enjoy it, sure it wasn’t full zerk which everyone runs but hay it works great.
then comes the warrior revamp, and our most awesome damage traits got moved to grand master- thus shout heal sucked balls because dps lost was too huge, i raged quite for 3 month and come back after and managed to find a gear set up that let me play relative the same as it was and started liking the game more.
then i started to pvp because the revamp made warrior’s condition removal awesome, and thus i enjoy the class a lot more, it was also the point where i swapped to full zerk because i manage to get a lot better in game play.
so then come another patch that Nerf out hammer skill’s damage by like 22%, it was hard, but it didn’t stop me playing, i managed to find a wonderful build involving axe+shield and hammer which i enjoy in pvp very much. then goes another year or 8 month ish
so then the disgusting patch that nerf adrenaline hits, i raged before the patch, and calmed down day before the patch, and when the patch hit, i played it for a week then lost faith in my warrior.
-i could not find a good zerk build for pve which i become accustomed tobecause i cant keep my adrenaline up
-i initially thought they revamp cleansing ire to make it work for all weapons to increased build diversity but i guess Arenanet is stupid and thus makes me hate my underpowered pvp build
-Arcing slice is disgustingly weak, not even comparable to a level 1 eviscerate
-nerf to signet of rage got on my nerves, its my favorite button to push, now i look at it and i feel sad
-Nerf to greatsword damage makes me feel that duel-wielding is the new dps meta, but that is not how i believe warrior should be played, i believed that swapping weapon as a warrior should be grant advantages, but i guess Arenanet is stupid
in the end i feel disgusting to log on my warrior that i spent my time and gold buying dyes, thousands of gold in skins and stuff. i look at him and it makes me angry, he was once such a well designed class, now he’s like a piece of shell of a broken egg
I culdent play this game anymore – not entirely because they nerfed my favorite class, but because the DEVS ARE IDIOTS and THEY ARE LAZY and THEY DOES NOT LISTEN TO THE PLAYER BASE there was a post some where about Chap giving feed back about warrior – it was never answered to my bitter disappointment. i read the forums in hopes that some revamps will happen to un-suck warriors, fix the 6billion mesmer issues, and realize engineers does not need more buff.
In the end, i lost faith in this game, i play Path of Exile, its great fun, every patch has something useful, like the one that give me a nice little place to decorate and access end game content as well as cheaper crafting- unlike in gw2 where my mostly empty home instance that is mostly useless unless i wanna mine gear/candy.

i’m just not to trilled about adrenaline decay, and signet of rage nerf which was uncalled for and absurd
the adrenaline nerf is anets call for all players to play hambow/axebow really they just trying to say: Warriors! ye aint playing yare class in pvp right!, so we gonna makesure u do!.
sure they can nerf us but at least give us something worthy the nerfs back in return,
arcing slice dont really cut it
mace is good but pathetic against anything that is capable of moving
axe offhand is great but anyone with one or more eye know to interrupt/kite
really Anet is destroying a perfectly fine class instead of just fixing/buffing the other classes that need it

rampage buff is possibly the most useless crap they giving us, sure it looks sweet but, really if you will cast rampage and the following will happen:
>another warrior will use damage reductions and kite away and wait it out
>thief will just stealth/blind so that you can and will do nothing
>necros corrupt boon/condition you to death, better yet Lich form and win
>elementalists will simply out manuver you
>engineers condi you to oblivion
>rangers ahve stealth, thus ur screwed
>guards have protection, which is better than your 25%
their attempt at trying to get us to use rampage by nerfing SoR is… i dont mean to insult their intelligence but we all know where dis is going

the eternal alchemy that we players saw, place the pale tree at THE CENTER OF ELDER DRAGONS
the part representing pale tree could be small, could be large, but what we know is that the dragons are a very VERY powerful force and all 6 of that very powerful force revolves around a even larger sphere(from the cut-scene).
also the pale tree we know of is grown out of a seed. so like what Mada says the the tree we have right now could just be a mere child,that is capable to spawn a race capable of rivaling any of the other races in a span of 25 years

according to the cut-scene and dialogue after, the pale tree is a the center of everything, what u see int he cut scene is that there are 7 large orbs, pale tree is in the middle according to the player conversation with Rox after.
the player also said that he saw that the dragons are major components of the world which would be the 6 orbs because the players mention anything about the gods. it shoulden’t be about the gods because the gods arn’t even native to Tyria
in the cutscene, it was 6 stationary orbs around a large one and the large one(representing pale tree) looks like it started moving the other orbs (dragons become active), which basically says that when the pale tree started to operate, the dragons started too
also yes my assumptions are based on only one instance. but its solid information and its also the Eternal Alchemy which is how the world of Tyria operates.
i’m not saying to villanize a player race, i’m simply saying that the entity know as pale tree, might not be what it seems on the out side, it might have greater motives that we don’t need to know. Hell, any GW2 salad player is created before death of Zhiatan and thus prior before pale tree’s gone bad. it can be very much like the Charr and flame legion, same race but divided
after i watched the eternal alchemy i get the feeling that….
the 6 dragons are actually champions of the pale tree that is currently harvesting magical energies for the pale tree. the pale tree was simply brain washed by the centaur tablet and don’t remember it being the final boss.
it could also be that after all the dragons die, the pale tree will absorb all that magical energy and we all know what happens when things eat dragon energy.

teleport shot on fractal 49 hit my necro for 6.2k, if it was a ele than the ele is pertty much dead.
i thought i was jsut being a bad player and unable to dodge mai’s teleport or block it but i guess it was just the bug
i’m not sure about cannon box aoes being wider but player hit boxes are often larger than it seems.
ur entire team shall commit suicide via umping off high places to get hammer to respawn
the tool tip for locust swarm still show up as 10 seconds after you take the trait duration but when i checked the buff did get increased to 15 seconds.
also, at times random texts appear in my screen for like a single frame of something and some number texts such as cool down numbers flicker, anyone know what’s up with that?

or
your can shield bash > eviscerate
or
u can first immobilize > shield bash(by this time enemy would have ran out of dodge) >eviscerate

I Own all the purple/mist weapon a warrior can possibly use and I think it’s great, but if u want a cheap alternative and consistent theme across your weapons, I would suggest them corrupted weapon sets, cheap, icy, partial effects, big, perfect for any norn

i made a thief to get my 82/83 hints to complete, the one I’m missing is thief steal but i cant seem to obtain it after trying to steal and using the stolen skill multiple times.
how can i do this? it seems bugged
exactly 15% is next to useless its so bad it might as well be not there its not worth using ur burst at all, the current 1 single bar gives great survivability and actually feels like a use full trait after the Nerf its… i made my point its so bad it might as well be not there
seriously? 15% of your energy bar when you use a burst skill, this trait is worse than 3 might when you res someone
honstly we regenerate that much energy in a second

u can dodge while using axe 5 -free dps/adrenaline recharge
um it will never drop, Anet screwed up and they r too embarrassed to fix it, its ascended gear, its ment to be expensive and keeps ya grinding(not for a legendary of course)
why put the points into str for III trait? more health and 100 power + aoe dmg on dodge seems better than 100 vit + 9% dmg boost when lyssa is poped for 5 seconds O.o
imo 100 power is more like a +3-5% constant anyways take what u will

for people who thought you would get get like 100 hp from being struck? no it dont work dat way
u get condition damage and physical damage CONVERTED to health during dat 3 seconds
its only 5 seconds more than healing surge, its also not Adrenalin defendant, activation time is 4times faster than healing surge and mending
you essentially have if comparing to surge:
35-3+0.25=32.25 seconds not being healed because you ahve 3 seconds where you cant be damaged
where for healing surge you have 30+1 because you have 1 second of channeling time
mending wontsave you in a zerg fight if you dont ast longer than 20 seconds
healing signlet wont save you cause u get Aoed to death before you can regen for crap
they have already gave it 50% dmg increase in pvp but not wvw and pve
maybe even 25% on the latter two areas would be just fine
i use axe/axe because i like the concept of it and i hate maces so i been trying to match my play-style for a axe-axeer
eviserate>whirling axe refill and since i traited for 2extra adrenlin on axe crit, i usually fill faster than needed so i cancel early to avoid loosing dps
when CoE alpha does his ground aoe i pop whirling axe and then dodge so i can gain dps when i’m dodging- same with GS 3
my chain for dungeon dps, my axe chain is 2>AAchain>4 then swap to my gs for HB and WW
really people say its crap weapon but its actually alright just need wee bit more dmg
also, warriors with rending strikes can stack some serious vuln(and bleed) with axe 5 as well, not as stable as mace but its something

vuln has duration halfed on bosses making mace 4 not THAT awesome, also when running multiple warrior or even just 1 engineer vuln is usually capped
mace 5 is awesome but anything above silvers have defiance

point of this skill shines in wvw zerging
especially with the defy pain trait
simply go into the heart of a zerg and bash them with your hammer, watch as u go down to 25% health and your auto endure pain expire
right before it expire pop defiant stance and chanced are you are back to full health assuming the zerg is dense enough
get out of the fighting before u get zerged down again
with the amount chaos of Aoes and stuff on the ground chanced are not many opponent can notice you popint defiant stance and kite you carefully while you use the heal
that is of course assuming you dont get a 90 radius giant red glow on you while its active

this skill compared to ranger’s axe five version deals more damage and lets you move at the same time you can also evade while using this move putting reflection on this skil would make ranger’s version vastly underpowered
what should be is not reflection but maybe just block projectiles
thief’s version is a elite you cant compare weapon skill to a elite
their steal tho is just…..
really tho what needed to be done is just increase the damage not jsut limited to pvp but wvw and pve as well
or have it remove 1 conditions /second while spinning
