It’s something similar to zerging except players in that zerg can’t suck. Basically they’re trying to make large scale content challenging. Yes, Tequatl is a damage sponge but he also has abilities that will kill you if you don’t know what you’re doing.
Yeah its strong and can kill you but this is not the type of challenge players want! We want large scale INSTANCED content that you can do with your guild/group of players and when you fail you stop and think “ok what went wrong and what can we do to get better?”. This open world stuff? You cant coordinate with all the trolls/bad players/afkers for loot…
like i would be fine with the tequatl rework and embrace it with happiness, if it wasnt for that speaker saying stuff like “This is what you have been asking for this game! This is huge! We had a team working on this for a long time and its finally ready! ARE YOU READDY?”?!?!?!?!?" and then…. tequatl reworked rofl and here i was wondering “GVG, DECENT INSTANCED CHALLENGING CONTENT?!”. God so disapointed….

A 10% dps nerf would be enough for me to shelf S/D, pick up D/P again, and never look back.
I wouldn’t mind it though, because D/P is actually a complete kit and more fun to play.

No just no. They cant make changes to “make elementalists and mesmers viable again”. We cant have situations like what happened to necro and ranger again. Mesmers and eles are fine, necros rangers s/d thieves are broken. Please dont touch eles (offensive ele) and mesmer. Please dont. Its partially our fault that this game is where it is, people kept crying that necros are up (when they really werent that up) and rangers were bad and look what anet did.

k so then lets buff ele then ele beats everything then we buff everything that eles beat then we buff eles some more. necromancers all over again. this is what is happening to this game. warriors were in a weak spot we buff them to faceroll status. necros were in an ok spot, we buff them to faceroll. kitten you dont even need to roll with your face. and not to mention that 3 out of your 5 examples are broken specs, and those are the problem, not that eles or mesmers are weak.

Actually its pretty easy to dodge necros. Necro atm are a bunch of ai spam machines so as soon as they see a foe they will spam staff 2 3 4 and maybe even throw a fear in between, so spam dodges and there you go, 70% of the time you will prevent a fear lock into 100-0. Now, they will switch to scepter and fear you again and still 100- 0, but rest assured, you did what you could.
-YES definitely ask them about burning procs. like, what are we supposed to do against it? Theres just no counter play to it, you’re gonna get that burning no matter what, and it should be dodgeable. For example, when you crit, your next attack inflicts burning. There, everything is the same, except now we can dodge that burning charge.
-Where are the reward revamps they talked about 3/4 months ago?

yes it is. a new mode would bring a alot of people into spvp to try it out, and if it happened to be good people would stay, and conquest would become 4 times more enjoyable because we wouldnt be playing it 24/7

It would add a 5 pts to your teams score. So more people would res in SoloQ? Is that a bad thing trolling aside?
then going down would become something good. it would open 5 possible ponts for your team. imagine a 2v1. with the 2 guys holding a point and just fighting 1 enemy. they would let that one guy down one of them and then ress up, +5 points, go down again, ress up, +5 points. all this while holding a capture point.
I would add 5 pts to game score everytime someone is ressed. Killing gets 5 pts why doesn’t Resurrection?

matchmaking system is the same of team queue. if you’re so good and experienced as you say you will move up, and noobs will move down with time.

By the way why should we wait for it to stabilize? We are not applying evolution in here. It is not hard to implement a good formula for great matchmaking.

Those amulets have been in the game from the start and there was a point (believe it or not) in this game’s pvp where you didnt have 10 conditions on you 2 seconds into a teamfight. But this game has taken a turn down to cheap and kittenty avenue and rewarded us with spirit rangers, s/d thieves and fotm spammancers.
I’ve been playing this game since beta mate so I can tell you for a fact that conditions have always been present.
The only reason you didn’t see that many on you was two-fold:
1) condition classes were pretty much terrible. Ranger was nigh unplayable and necromancer received a massive nerf pre-launch.
2) people didn’t know how to play properly. Engi for example has always been viable as a condition class but it is also very hard to play properly. People didn’t really know how to build/spec properly. Building for burst was easier that’s why 100b warrios and bs thieves rules the battlefields.Also all classes spam abilities. If you think necros spam now more than they did a while back, you’re completely wrong.
The only two classes who don’t/can’t spam is elem and engi. They have more complex rotations that ideally need to be tailored for the situation they find themselves in.I can’t believe anyone would ever consider spamming an issue in a game where you can set abilities on auto-cast IE auto “spam”.
And are you SERIOUSLY complaining about spirit rangers who have literally just appeared on the scene? Do you even know how hard it is to keep those spirits alive with the amount of aoe and cleave going around? I don’t even play one but I imagine it’s a nightmare.

I did give arguments. There was a point in this game where condi damage was fine and necros actually had to manage their skills and those amulets were available, therefor the problem is not in the amulets. I don’t even play one but(…)”, now this is one kittening kittenty argument. And how can you say spamming is not an issue? Spamming is THE issue of gw2. Just read this carefully again, and your problem is just a regular l2pvsthief sickness. D/P or D/D thieves are really up atm, they cant 1v1 most specs in the same skill level. S/D is just so much stronger atm and barely uses stealth. And from your suggestions i can tell that you got pwned by some thief, got bitter and decided to make this post. Again, fighting a stealth based spec thief individually? Fine. Thieves stealthing whole team to cheap insta gib whoever? Cheap and broken.
Most D/P thieves aren’t permastealth might stack specs, stop being dense. They lose 1v1’s because they don’t run 30 shadow arts.
Nothing really beats a might stacking shadow arts D/P thief who’s patient. If you lose 1v1’s on that build you suck.

But w/e guys, keep asking for stealth nerfs thus rendering the only thief weapon sets that require a functioning brain useless. Keep enjoying them s/d #3 thief spammers.

For people who just missed it, the livestream preview was up just and now and showed the new Team and Solo Arena features. Also one dev confirmed that Solo is only solo (no duo), and Team Arena will essentially be the old system as it was, including the old leaderboards, with the addition of random map rotations. This means that Team Arena will also include duo queue as well as 3/4-man team queue, from what I understood. I just don’t understand how they would fill up a 4-man team if there’s no individual queue for Team Arena?
Also, the Wallet and Finishers are nice additions, even for us PvP’ers.

My only BIG issue with stealth currently,(I have many little issues but I think I can overcome them with more experience and practice) is the stealth stomping, what a mega broken mechanic that is , might as well just get rid of the downstate all together if ANet plans to leave this in.
Broken? It’s alot easier to counter than stability stomps of invulnerabilty stomps.
This post could have a point if you talked about the real problem of stealth, which is the abuse of group stealthing to no skill instagib someone of the enemy team. That is the real issue of stealth atm. Problem with dueling thieves’ stealth? L2p issue. Mass stealth teamfight openers? Broken, cheap, no skill, only countered by another mass stealth.

Game is still as unbalanced and unenjoyable as it always was since release. Thieves are still stuck into either glass or that kittening kittenty s/d spec that a braindead rat could play. And then theres stuff like necros rofl. 1 necro mark can kill a thief if everything procs. so yeah, this game is pretty good still.
And idk why you are surprised that the “competitive” gw2 teams all play the same classes and comps. It’s what competitive teams do, play the most op stuff in the moment to maximize win chance. look at League of legends, Twisted Fate? Picked or banned 90%. Elise? Picked or Banned 90%.

It amazes me how a BO5 match favored TP. Or is this you admiting they are indeed better than you? The only thing you can complain about is the final after you had several matches, but you also already knew the calendar and you could have asked for a different date before the tournament.
But in the end, after this little joke of sour loosing, everyone’s glad you didnt win.
