in wvw? heck no. i usally don’t argue over it because i dont play wvw or atleast not on my warrior, then i made a meta build warrior in wvw. what is this a joke? 1st it does not do that much high of a damage, it never did.
2nd it’s dead when you see more then 3 people that are fully geared 80. as on my thief i can disengage OR even better i can bring one down before leaving.
cleansing ire simply doesn’t clean enough condi with all the condi meta, and zerker stance can easily be kit off in this huge open world, when in pvp, its more difficult.
and when you encounter a zerg, you are dead as well, on my thief i can easily leave without anyone touching me.
even the GS build is better then the meta pvp build of pvp, simply being the fact that it was the best build when warriors were free kills, when warriors needed to quick engage and disengage.
what a waste of gil and laurels for getting them lyssa and sigils and ascended for nothing.

Healing Signet provides only 400 HP per second without investment in healing power and 20 points in that respective traitline. Adrenal Health provides 400 HP per 3 seconds IF Adrenaline is full. It is very rare that a Warrior will have full adrenaline for long periods of time in a fight due to reliance on burst skills. Keep in mind that while using Healing Signet Warriors are vulnerable to burst damage and conditions. They have no viable burst heal, take advantage of it.
Conditions are still a large weakness to Warriors, once Berserker Stance wears off they become vulnerable to Condition spam, even with Cleansing Ire. you have to actively react to all the passive things going on, so its still very reactionary and there is still a LOT of skill in spirit ranger

nope, mesmers’ #2 is better than warriors’, necro’s, engineers’ #2 and even guardian’s #2 . All of those are easily avoided by blinds, stability,port stomps. Mesmer will always avoid the first stomp. The #3 is not that good, but it will allow you to win some downstate fights, get a rally of a mob etc etc.
phantasm specs are only good until your opponent realizes you are a phantasm mesmer.
its always good to se the devs improving gw2’s combat mechanics
cobalt is the cheapest, but it’s a blue flame. Volcanus is looks alot like the one in the pic but its 2 handed and alot harder to get.

let’s compare ranger’s elite to a necro’s elite. res spirit CD is 180 seconds. flesh golem CD is 60 seconds.
if the mod’s cannot increase the necro’s elite CD then at least bring down the spirit res to 120-140 sec. fair enough.

They are also saying that you complaining about how necromancer is an AI faceroller is stupid, because you play spirit ranger which is another AI faceroller relying on passive procs from the spirits, which is also true!
But in your own little mind, spirit ranger is a rightfully skillfull spec and you are a good player.
Have you considered that maybe the reason you struggle so much is, and pardon my french, you suck? spirits do not auto attack. how can you say they are OP? they just serve as signets to add condition to a ranger’s attack.

wow you people really think that the way to balance this game is up… The easy way is up yes, but this games needs less of everything. Less cc, less burst damage, less condition damage, less conditions everywhere. Eles can do like 15k instant damage, YET, somehow, they are not viable… What does that tell you?
While damage, conditions, cc, EVERYTHING is so abundant, we’re gonna be stuck with kittenty metas where spamming doesn’t matter because what you missed in one button, you have in the button right next to it.

hell no, underwater combat would mean i would not step in there. i don’t even know what abilities most of my characters have underwater
yeah, i’m bad because i can beat guardians and warriors 1v1 (the tankiest professions in this game). lol
there’s even someone who posted here that his friend has never been defeated 1v1 playing as a minion necro.

dude last time i checked you were like 15 wins 30 defeats on solo queue. and yeah, leaderboards dont count much, but it still tell us something about your average skill. if you only win 25 % of your games you are doing something wrong…
I’m 7/15 in these achievments without even trying….
Then don’t 1v1 them. If you can’t beat them and you know you’re at a disadvantage then engage him with friends.

I said I like the chests, can’t you read? I prefer 10 silver per win than the same kittenty chests i have been getting for the last year.
who cares about the reward chest? Most people don’t care either, they are just complaining for the sake of complaining. You will have those chests back soon. Meanwhile I prefer the 10 silver for win.
I had a friend running a somewhat tanky minion necro months ago. I’m not complaining or anything, but I have never once seen him lose when he plays minion necro in duels and he generally wins a lot of 1v2s as well. Most I see playing minion necros seem to be completely clueless as to what it is capable of. /shrug

flesh golem has a really short CD and just after i was able to kite all of the minions, the necro has already summoned that super strong golem. no ranger pet can even be compared to their flesh golem.
the flesh golem CD needs a huge nerf.

all anets pvp recent comments here on forums hint that big pvp changes will happen in early 2014, which is funny, because thats exactly what they said last year, that January/February would be the big pvp patches

been playing thief since launch, never had enyone asking me to roll warrior in any place.
So I have been trying GW2 for the first time over the last two weeks.
I have tried every class and every race except the salad people. I can see where the game has it’s strengths and weaknesses. Granted, two weeks doesn’t give you a huge perspective.
The only class that I seem to be able to play at all is the Guardian. To me, this is a major disappointment.
I have been an MMO player for years, from Ultima Online to Everquest, Star Wars, RIFT and WoW, I have played a lot. I used to raid high end content in WoW a few years back, but now I think I am becoming “that guy”. The guy who is mediocre or bad at gaming.
Guild Wars 2 should be in my wheelhouse. I should be excelling at the game. Instead, I find myself dying every night at least a half a dozen times. The game has continued to be frustrating to me. Meanwhile, I am surrounded by a really nice community that seems to be doing well.
So what if you find that you are “that guy”. Is Guild Wars 2 a much more difficult MMO than the others? Or am I at the end of my hobby?
I’m bias with this game to the negative, so bare with me.
The game is good on some levels but compared to many MMO’s it lacks Depth (and longevity for me).
I found leveling alts up to be the only real flavor i enjoyed, sadly the game does not like my play style much. For what its worth the classes are all very similar to each other so there isn’t very much in them.
Sure Ranger has pets but they don’t work very well etc, so we have DPS on all classes traits and skills do very little (ran around for months with no traits on my Engi made zero difference to my game play) and the skills are all similar on the classes most get a version of each others skills..
The content has become steadily harder even PvE over the past year to appease the complaints but its made it a lot harder on new players, open world is just a leveling tool events are all for lv 80 and the grind has taken over most aspects that were fun.
Achievements are generally grind based etc jump puzzles and PvP are only fun to a select few that like that game play etc. Dungeons are end game and quite repetitive with low rewards for the risk involved.
I sadly am having more fun in the games this game said it would not be. maybe this game doesn’t fit your style of play or just feels too different.
classes are very similar to eachother? wowowow classes beeing different is one of the best points in gw2’s favor. its still a pretty flawed game but you can’t point your finger at class design. the only class i think they dropped the ball was ranger. But thief is unique, mesmer is unique, necro is unique… The class specific mechanic makes every class different and worth playing.

I’m also really glad that you are listening to jon peters and keeping spirit ranger as a high skill spec! also keep buffing miniomancer because its a totaly legit fullskill build

all in all what this game needs is more cc and more aoe damage flying out of nowhere, so im glad to see you are buffing staff ele!
anet, playing against asura warriors is not fun enough. so can you please lower asura minimum height more and decrease skull crack and earthshaker cd? also, earthshaker and skullcrack should never go on cd if you miss, we should be able to spam it until we hit it, it’s not enough that we maintain all adrenaline! also increase healing signet base heal. these were the buffs that warriors deserve and you completely ignored in this patch!
you should also buff burning btw because it’s only 8 times out of 10 that when we die the main damage source is burning, it should be 10 out of 10! so burning clearly needs to be more accessible accross all classes.
Atleast you made immobilize stack so it’s not like it was a totally bad patch!
PS:
Signet of spite also needs a buff, it doesn’t apply enough conditions for just 1 button.
The problem of those traits is that you’re gonna get that burning on you, no matter what. You can’t dodge that.
