I do not think it would change much other than me moving on to something else. At my core I am a nihilist anyway. I am fully aware that all my efforts are futile and the death of everything including the whole universe is inevatible. We are nothing more than organic machines with an illusion of free will.
But instead of sitting around looking at an empty wall I spend the time on something to create the illusion of time passing faster.

i will say though, the world is a beautiful place. there is a lot of joy to be had if you seek it out. sure, you’re life will end, but you can really use it dude. there are better things out there than AP dude.

No one in this game should have 30k AP and still be considered alive.
30k is not the problem. You can have 33k AP with half of my playtime, but it takes exponentially more effort to progress the closer you are to having 100% of the achievements.
The last 40 AP will literally take me another ~3500 hours.why are you even building AP? like, whats the point?
you can substitute anything in the entire world for “building AP” in your question.

most actions have a tangible or experiential benefit.
like cooking, you get the food. or, practicing snooker, you get good at it & it’s fun to play with friends.
i’m just curious to what, if anything anyone could get out grinding AP.
well, expect for ‘number bigger i like big number’, but i really hope that’s not it. it would be pretty sad if it was.

Just because some class was trash before doesnt mean they should be op now.
adrenal health regens like 7.4k~ ish with 0 healing power. Even druid or ele cannot regen that much unless they stack healing power.
more like landing burst is not that hard either yet giving them 3 stacks of adrenal health on a single burst is just too much.
Thats why anet nerfed druid / ele healing stuff

furthermore, all but LB burst are dang easy to dodge.
others have pointed out why your comparison w the healing of AOE support classes is dumb. but dude, if you cant out dps 7k in 15 sec you should really rethink your play & build.

And yet when scrapper gyros acted exactly like the DH traps with going on cooldown after used and dazing, they nerfed them 100ft below the ground. Hm. Odd.
traps had multiple nerfs. they just got nerfed again. the daze is gone now.

it’s the amulet condi engi has needed for a long time. very excited about this.
And back to Puncture Shot, I was hitting 1.8k crits on a thief (probably running Marauder’s Ammy) in the match I just played. I was running Marauder’s and Traveler’s rune. That’s just too much damage for an AA, especially considering Thief has medium armor.
rev hammer auto hits for like 3k tho?
CD is too long, thats the only issue. it’s unblockable & AOE.
if they reduced the CD & buffed shouts, or reverted the shoutheal nerf it would be a worthwhile skill.
carrion mace/torch sword/shield is an utter beast from what ive found.
i suggest you be evasive & aggressive.

i would recommend watching class guides & gameplay on youtube. duelling people for practice is really good too. there are servers jusr for duels, & a lot of people will be keen if you just whisper them.
engi is actually pretty easy if you play the meta build from metabattle.com . it’s only got one kit if i remember correctly. the only hard bit is healing turret, but you lean that pretty fast.
as everyone else has said necros, especially ones who down easy get focused all the time. i call target on necros a lot myself.

DH does significantly less damage than a power rev, & will lose to any power rev who knows how to use unblockable skills. the heal is stupid easy to interrupt, as are the wings.
the only advantages DH has is strong condi clear. its worse than power rev in all other respects. it really doesnt need a nerf. yall just need to use unblockable skills & interrupt those heals.

Condi warrior is awesome damage. Maybe you should learn to play warrior better? Mace shield sword torch = unstoppable death machine.

Another example: 2 of the Core rangers Top condition cleanses are in 1 trait line, and they compete with each other.
Unless they fix traits or give other classes some other options other than traitlines (like the ele focus I used as an example) There will still be limited diversity.

Thats where the problem lies, as an avid theorycrafter myself, some trait combinations will not work without the required lines. (top tier pvp, tourneys) anything can work in solo q.
I think giving us more options through better weapon sets or utilities, like condition cleanse (like the ele 3 condition removal), will pave the way making these traitlines not as much required.

DH is still very playable. it’s fair that a monster 10k heal has some counterplay.
choose power or condi, play hard, get kills
just outdamage the heals when they are not blocking. use cc, & unblockable skills. dont sit in traps (p easy to guess where traps are most of the time). use a dodge roll.
play hard.
Gunflame x2 Decapitate x2 is a nice combo.
To illustrate, I will explain for a simple situation that is easily (and accurately) extrapolated:
One simple case: take a class, like elementalist, that gives off lots of buffs and does mostly AoE damage, and a class like base ranger, which does mostly single-target damage and doesn’t share nearly as many buffs with team-mates. If these two classes are the only ones available, and they can 1v1 equally effectively, why would you ever take the ranger? It has no advantages in 1v1’s, and as more people get into the fight the ele gets significantly better. You could say “well, give the ranger more mobility” but that doesn’t balance the ledger, as mobility is most important on dps classes (who can finish fights quickly), and you will still always be optimal to always take ele.
If you want to have a robust metagame with many viable builds, you have to balance them on a whole. Look at the ele vs. ranger example: if you make rangers slightly better in 1v1’s, but the ele slightly better in teamfights, or the ranger better vs. burst and the ele stronger vs. condis, you are making two competing options for a single role (a skirmisher/bruiser for instance). With this choice, either will be optimal with different team-comps and rotational strategies – there is no clear-cut “always better.” If you make them equally strong in 1v1’s, but one is better in larger fights, then it is ALWAYS better and you never take the worse one.
You need to actually embrace the concept of “roles and holes”: every spec has some things they are very good at, and some glaring weakness that they can’t fulfill on their own.
The problem with HoT, is it creates too many specs that have lots of strengths and very minor weaknesses, so there isn’t really a ton of variety. It also angles many elite specs in one direction, and we all know elite specs are SO MUCH STRONGER than others, that this just pigeon-holes that class into whatever build can use that elite.

my favourite build in gw2 was hammer warrior with shouts. it was useless in 1v1 and could only kill bad players on squishy builds, but was an absolute god in team fights. i was into playing the role.
now anet have got into removing support and tank builds, and forcing all classes to play bruiser, so the game is stale af.

it has a worse stun on a long cooldown. the elixer has an AOE moa on a short CD, and has a chance for Rampage too. it’s straight up the better choice.

you will learn from 1v1. its what i used to teach pvp when i was doing coaching in this game. you will learn the combos & skills you need. feedback over voice coms after fights is so good too. sometimes i would even spectate 1v1s from a players perspective & give them post match feedback, & real time tips.
I’d offer to duel you, but im currently trying to break 250DP on my zerker in BDO so i will be of no use to you.

Negative . DH is trash tier. Weakest class by far. If anything they need all traps to be insta cast and they still would remain trash tier.

Nah, its typical mmo balancing. Previous season such and such class is op, they get nerfed hard. Probably to hard, other classes get nice buffs, such and such class now sucks.
Next season maybe scrapper, condi necro, and ele will see more nerfs and warriors.
Personally I would prefer they buff other things to make more builds viable. Like buff power necro to = condi necro and give choices.
the funny thing is DH was never tournament viable. it got a sequence of nerfs due to scrubs QQing on the forums.
guard has been out of meta a long while.

I generally find Tactics underpowered, so I’m intrigued and skeptical. Care to share a build or vid?It does not work for PVP. shout heals are just two weak, The only use i can see is extra burning thorough burning arrows, a little team support through phalanx strength, and extra condi damage through the strength line+berserker’s great condi support. It would definitely work in PVE, but not in PVP. Never.

If i was to run base warrior it would be the classic Shoutbow. I have seen someone stream that a few days ago in ranked (Sapphire) and he was doing very well.
But berserker spec>vanillla spec

shouts with mace/torch bow. the fire field from torch means you can use skullgrinder to make & detonate fire fields for king of fires. 100% recommend.

Nope… Just dont feel like giving up on being a broken record yet with the hope that one day maybe anet will get the message and at least consider it.
took anet years to get to pre HoT balance. we were almost good there, but then anet went for the power creep. given previous performance I’d say wait a minimum of two years, but another expansion is on the way. so, id say ‘give up all hope’.
as an ex warrior main, I can safely say anet is arrogant misguided and scrubby. warrior forum had so many revamps that would have fixed the class. anet chooses not to buff sustain because they are arrogant and useless. you know how they saying goes, you can lead an idiot to water but you can’t make him drink.
give up. PvP balance will just be ruined with the new expansion even if these fools could achieve it.

the fact that you even bother with dailies is impressive.
can’t see any reason not to get them. the blind child in my head is hoping warrior returns to meta with the upcoming expansions new specialisations, so i figure it cant hurt having a whole ton of laurels when it happens.
