Can just farm zone1/2/3 in normal mode in world 1 & 2 for a couple days for plenty of continue coins.
I still have 30 or so in my storage.

Just done it again too impatient to wait for a reset, so not another coin, but I did get the achievement

Did you leave before the timer ended?
No, went straight through to the bonus level.
The room in the second world, where you normally would get the free torch, is fixed. It didn’t count before, now it does count. Straight after a checkpoint, before the point where there’s a poison field with 5 lilly pads.
So I’ve got all the achievements for world 1, except for something that bugged out for me.

It shows I’ve all 3 the rewards for zone completion.
I just completed zone 3, but I did not get the corresponding achievement.
My brother, who I did the zone with, did get the achievement handed to him.
If you completed the events the gauntlet would’ve been open for you. There was plenty time to use them when they were switched back to account bound, if you needed them.
These super jumps.
I’m not sure why, but around 25% of the time they simply don’t work for me.
I’m guessing it has to do with the difference between my mouse (dodge) and keyboard (jump) input lag.
I really love the SAB, but this thing is just the fly in my soup.
It’s all been for just the August release… the next LS chapter will not be zerg events I can tell you that.
Just wait for primordus.
Sylvari will make a good fireplace.
Check the top right of your screen, ‘’Clockwork Chaos’’.
Do that
Afaik Sactum Sprint is considered as “sPvP”, so should be able to use any sPvP equipment (all of them are lvl80 and soulbound).
Are you sure taht you equipped normal PvE equipment?
Than in fact thats a bug
If you’ve read my post then it should be clear that it’s PvE equipment.
During the Sanctum Sprint it will allow you to equip any level gear, regardless of your character level.
Luckily, once you leave the mini game it automatically de-equips it, but the item will still be soulbound to your character.
Camera isn’t as bad as people portray it. Yes it’s clunky, yes it should be fixed… but if you use this as a limitation then perhaps you’re just not good enough to work with minor faulty mechanics.
The red on the floor takes some getting used to, and once you pay attention you can clearly tell the difference. As well as it being a completely predetermined pattern.
Yes it’s not ideal, no it’s not limiting you in such a way that you’re going to be prevented from completing it.
And on top of that, there’s a dozen ways to deal with the one shot mechanics. It’s not like ‘’oh I screwed up a little now I die’’. No, you can just evade/block/invulnerable/take no damage out of it… multiple times.
For a simple 1v1 fight, I still think the actual fight is well done. The only thing that needs fixes is the arena itself.
Guild Challenges
Could you specify which waypoints were added?
Have all Guild Challenges been added with an according Waypoint?
Yes, all guild puzzles have a Waypoint added to the start of the puzzle.
There’s one POI in the Eastern Commons in Divinity’s Reach
There’s a new POI in the new Jumping Puzzle in Gendarran Fields
That’s all I can come up with apart from what’s mentioned
I voted for Evon for his fractal, but I’m happy Kiel won so we don’t get the RNG.
That leaves me quite indifferent all together.
I wouldn’t have voted for Ellen Kiel, as there’s nothing she offered that made me want her. I’ve only had strong feelings regarding Evon’s promises.
AP just means you’ve done a lot of things to get achievement points… that doesn’t mean you’re any good at doing those things.
I don’t see why people would consider it as an indicator of skill.
I don’t get why they don’t just give it a more appropriate reward for a ~30 second fight…
Because that might be unfair to those professions that can’t do it in ~30 seconds? (Can every profession do this fight in 30 seconds? Guards, Necros, Thieves, Warriors can. Who else?)
Majority of the professions can, so I don’t really see that as a valid argument. Besides, it shouldn’t be ‘’oh cause these people can’t do it it’s alright’’.
I don’t get why they don’t just give it a more appropriate reward for a ~30 second fight…
You actually have longer than 2 minutes.
If they weren’t insta kill it’d be too easy… and you can block/evade, that’s very forgiving.
Grasping claws can be dodged with movement only.
Also, the rifts only pull you. If you keep track of the darkness you can use it at your advantage as well.
To me this kind of felt like one of those mario games in one of those maps where the screen kept on going and you had to avoid all of the shots fired at you. If you removed all the shots fired at you it’d be super easy… but that’s the point of the map.
I’ve gained more money from it then I’ve spent. And I haven’t farmed it. And that’s simply because of the 3.5g that you got from the bags. That’s about 90 tickets you get to buy with, aside from getting 5 per character. So I doubt it’s much of a money sink to most people.
with what? i dont have any money, they nerf anything that you can make money off of
So far they’ve only nerf’d the most repetitive farms there are. I honestly can say that I feel no sympathy with people who feel upset about this.
PvP is just another minigame. Give us PvE every one week! (Heeheehee)

I think that this achievement should have a title, considering how insanely hard it is to get (and how little titles are in the game anyways). I appreciate that the mini is given just for a regular Liadri kill so more players can have it, but I think those that go the extra mile should get more than the 20 AP. A cool title like “Vanquisher of the Darkness” or something relating to this boss would be awesome.
I burned over 60 tickets trying to get this achievement, and I would do it again even if there were never a title. I just think it would be a nice gesture to those that went the extra mile
.
lmao 60 tickets? dude i burned 120 tickets for ‘’meatless murder’’ ….don’t talk to me about burning tickets, these gambits are HAAARD…and I burned about 50-60 for high stakes gambler before i was taught how to do it on deadeye…
Just an advise for the future, try thinking of ways how to deal with enemies.
I barely could beat Strugar and Chomper on my Guardian… so I definitely wasn’t going to try it on her.
I threw in my warrior with green gear and got the Meatless Murderer on my first attempt, love it when things work out
Whoever relies on luck does not have either the skill, the setup (lagg etc.) or the proper build for Liadra.
Also, I can beat her 100% of the time now. It took me about 30 tries to get to that point. So it’s no longer ‘’1 out of 30’‘, but from now on it will be 30 out of 30.
So what I’m saying is that there are several ways to completely be non-reliant of ’’luck’’ unless you’re lagging (considering I’ve got a decent PC I’m good on that department).
For instance, I’ve shared my build with some skilled friends. They found Liadri just so much easier with it. Didn’t take them long to get the 8 Orb achievement with it either.
There’s consipracies about huge aetherblade attacks on Divinity’s reach. Queen Jenna being an Aetherblade Watchwork Knight, while the real Queen has been captured. Escorts to Divinity’s Reach are Watchworks in disguise, and there shall be havoc.
But yeah, that’s just what could happen.
If they do it the same way as in GW1, then your character has to be 1 year old. Considering you deleted them it’d not count.
However, I doubt they’re really going to give me 8x Queen Jenna 8x Experience scroll.
So that might indicate that it’s account bound.
Although they state this
‘’As characters created right at the launch of Guild Wars 2 hit their first birthdays, it’s time to introduce our first Birthday Gift! Characters that are one year old will receive a Mini Queen Jennah, a 24-hour Birthday Booster, and a Scroll of Experience.’’
Can always just spend 100 or so karma on a 60 minute tonic, that should be easy enough.
It’s your option to have it.
Just like the shaking camera during jumping puzzles for instance.
If you want the full experience, you can leave it on.
Since the main method of future content delivery appears to be living story, though, even if ANet thought that at one point, the evolution of their vision would have led to the main plotline getting stalled if they continued that line of thinking.
If so, they need to do some rethinking in my opinion. Freezing the main plot in time isn’t really preferable either.
It’s currently frozen because they are unsure of how they wish to bring the future content to us. I wouldn’t mind a chapterised ’’expansion’’ as long as it’s done in the right way. I reckon this would actually keep people occupied for a longer time.
Instead of seeing people rush through the new game within a day (like in gw1).
I’m all for frequent and free diversions like Fractals and mini-games being added to the game. But I’m very much against the Living Story replacing the Personal Story. If you look at the quality of Factions and Nightfall respective to the original Guild Wars there’s no drop-off. If you look at the quality of Queen’s Jubilee or Secrets of Southsun respective to the original Guild Wars 2 they’re not even in the same league. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I want quality, not quantity.
Oh there was a huge drop-off if you compare prophecies to factions. Not only PvE but PvP wise as well. But that’s a whole ‘nother discussion.
And comparing the Living Story to the Personal Story… that’s kind of unfair because the personal story was just super boring.
As far as the core of the game, yes I’d love to see more of the same quality being released. And I agree, the current Living Story does not live up to that.
I believe nobody killed over 50 enemies in tier 4 candidate trials.
Now that content was seriously too hard.It was not “too hard.” It was completely and utterly unrewarding and full of exploits though. Why would anyone bother putting effort into something like that?
It would be the equivalent of trying to craft an Exotic-quality item only to receive a white.
You needed 50 kills for a gold reward for it. Nobody completed that.
That means it is too hard. Simple.
We don’t even know if it wasn’t worth it to do it. Perhaps that final bag (that nobody got) would have 50% weapons drop for you.
Majority of the rage endulged from the Bazaar update was that the weapons from the BLC were super RNG. Well, we don’t even know if completing the event the proper way would’ve been a good alternative. Again, because it was too hard.
I’m not saying you couldn’t complete the T4, far from it. It was easily doable. Even in a team. But, getting the kills needed to get the highest rewards were impossible. So if that’s not too hard, then what is?
It will last till Tuesday 3rd of September.
Op, people asking for harder and harder content DO want it to be nearly impossible. NEARLY. So that when they do complete it, it’s an actual achievement. That they can lord over all others.
We’ve seen what happened when it became impossible with the Bazaar update.
I believe nobody killed over 50 enemies in tier 4 candidate trials.
Now that content was seriously too hard. Not because it was challenging, but because enemies just had way too much HP, and that amount of HP had no counter.
People are asking for ’’challenging’’ content. Not ’’hard’’ content.
Stimulating you to push yourself to new limits and improve yourself.
Now, this update has done that to a lot of people, and sadly majority of the vocal people who can’t complete it blame it on the flaws of the Gauntlet.
I would love for more content like Fractals and the SAB.
Both of these were just so well put together. The random ‘’go do 50 of these’’ or ‘’kill 100 of these’’ kind of living world events are absolutely terrible.
Master Togo.
Definitely him.
Instead of him personally ruining your mission by dieing, it’d now be your mission to kill him.
Could it be Quaggan Soup?
There are some updates coming soon, quite soon even, that hopefully will dispel this. Say bye-bye to the Quaggan.
NoooOOOOooooOOOOooo
Gate Of Madness was easy, especially with the heroes.
If I’m not mistaken, Gates of Madness was fairly difficult at first, until — based on player feedback — it was nerfed. I believe the nerf had something to do with making the environmental effects less damaging. Perhaps someone else can verify this?
Make of that what you will…
Hardest part for me was finding capable players, rather than it actually being really hard. The moment heroes came to earth made it like a night and day difference.
Oh and what Mesmer elite is recommended? I don’t see anything that really looks too appealing tbh.
Yeah you don’t really need it, perhaps use some racial ones to make it a tad bit easier but mesmer’s elite skills are mostly built around team compositions.
You can’t reason with people. Every player from every level of skill must be able to complete all content with no fuss and no hassle, otherwise it’s GG Anet.
Oh, how I wish I could afford to buy everyone here a copy of Dark Souls so they could man up.
It’s been getting to me how so many people use the minor flaws in the gauntlet as an excuse why they can’t manage to do it. That is all.
^Does anyone have a vid showing the above strategy?? And like do you melee her down with this method – if so what about the one-shot clones??
There’s plenty of them on youtube
And no, you don’t melee you should just stick to your GS, perhaps switch to sword when you need to evade.
Stay near the center of the dome. This makes walking to the safe area so much easier.
Try to kite her as much as possible with simply just auto attacking and using your illusion.
Orb pulls aren’t random, they happen at set times during the boss fight. And there’s only so many spawns locations.
If you manage to play via a pattern, you should have them spawn at exactly the same situation every time where you can easily take it out.
But what do you really do to WvW? I’m all for adding stuff to WvW but what would make it better that they could add?
what we do, is gain buffs for the server that last an entire week. what we should be given for that i’m not sure, that’s up to anet to decide. i’m just asking for something
So, come up with some nice suggestions and post them in the suggestion forum? :O
What part do you need luck for?
All the vision spawns + vortex spawns are 100% not random, so that removes the ’’luck’’ chance.
According to like 99% of the people replying in this forum Liadri and the rest of Queen’s Gauntlet is absolutely perfect and doesn’t need to be touch.
Wow! Who would say something like that? The amount of comments of dissapproval is overwhelming. I sincerely hope this wasn’t said by an official. In fact, I would be surprised if nothing would be done about this. If over 9000 people would be angry at me, I would give it a serious thought to give into their demands. OR AT LEAST GIVE SOME SORT OF REPLY.
it’s sarcasm. Personally I’ve done her and I still think she was hell and unbalanced because of the bugs and glitches
What bugs and glitches made her unbalanced?
The floor isn’t perfectly ideal, oh boo hoo you have to pay some more attention.
The camera isn’t ideal, not like you’re supposed to run next to the side of the dome anyhow. And on top of that, it’s not even as close to as bad as many people portray it. Instead of whining how ’’broken’’ it is, at least use the correct proportions and give a fitting description of the issue.
Ooze not despawning is fixed.
Orb obstructed, you can easily deal with it. Every class has ranged AoE or melee available to them in abbundance. All I hear when someone complains about this is ’’It’s so much harder because of this’’… nonsense, it’s just a mere speedbump. Like I said use a befitting description and don’t put in your personal view of it if you’re trying to give a qualified description of the issue at hand.
It’s like saying a orange doesn’t taste good ‘cause I don’t like oranges.
Still convinced only a few classes can do this. I’ve blown through 300 tickets on my guard. Still no luck.
Should watch that, it’s fairly easy once you get the hang of it.
I can finish her off 100% of the times on my guardian.
If you’ve any questions feel free to PM me
(edited by eekzie.5640)
Vortex spawn is the same, the orb pulling you to your demise is not. And since the orb sometimes is obstructed and sometimes not makes the whole ordeal random.
Except that it only has like 6 spawning locations, and will spawn at the same time during the fight every time. So you know when to expect it and you know where you can expect it to spawn.
All of the stuff you people mention can be overcome by being smart. Which is what this is all about. How to outsmart the mechanics of the boss.
If it wasn’t for the stuff happening around the boss, then it wouldn’t be hard at all. Ofcourse, that’s why they added it. Or they would’ve come up with other stuff to make the boss hard. Luckily, adding tons of HP was finally not one of the picked options for every boss. Amen to that.
(edited by eekzie.5640)
There’s a lot of ways to deal with the one hit ko’s, which makes it a challenge of how you want to deal with it while keeping track of the boss / orbs / visions.
It’s actually a lot less random than you might think.
I would love for this to happen.
I was surprised that not everybody was outraged when they implemented wxp.
People want to “win” and will pay for it.
I think what he was getting to was more like, make the playing field more even.
Right now, the majority of the ranking is based off how active a server is in WvW. Rather than how skilled they are.
Depends on how it would be implemented.
For instance, the Jumping Puzzle chests were infested with annoying people who tried to prevent other people from getting the achievement.
So it’d had to be done with care.
Now I would love for some content (whether that’s living story related or not) that would attract a wider array of people to WvW.
