What would’ve been a good idea:

Let us choose between the MF and AR, and produce both the Fall of Abbadon and Thaumanova.

But now they’ve just basically given us the worst possible outcome either way.

There’s a difference between grind, and working towards stuff. You clearly don’t like either… plenty of people who do like it.

With a future update legendaries can change stats into anything.
So I don’t feel that it’d be fair when that happens.

However, if that wasn’t the case I could see it being a good idea.

Lets go through your list:

Infinite use mining picks, logging axes, and gather sickles, because I don’t like having to waste inventory space keeping extras, and I run out of charges and forget to grab new ones.

They were available for a limited amount of time.

A set of weapons, armor, and trinkets that scales with level and has top tier stats @ level 80, and that can be use with transmogrifier stones, so I can change my skins (which I would still be willing to grind for)

Level 80 exotics is pretty much non-farm. Just work your way through the stuff you like and within very reasonable time you should have plenty gold to get it. Any gear needed to 80 will be readily available on the TP.
The ascended trinkets isn’t really that ’’grind’’, more just a progression as you need to do daily runs of fractals and do guild missions.

The means to set my weapons, armor, trinkets to any top tier stat combination that’s available in the game, because I just want to experiment with different max potential build combinations and find the ones I like, not spend a bunch of time trying to reach max potential.

Will be available with legendaries. Legendary ’’gear’’ will become available later on. I hope this included jewelry.

The ability to reinvest my trait points at will while within a certain proximity of a waypoint while outside of combat, except for WvW and PvP, because I don’t like being restricted to only one build spec unless I go to a major city and I’d like to respec more frequently to see how different builds play in various situations, so the cost of retraiting hampers that.

They didn’t want this. So unless they change their mind… I don’t think this will ever happen.

You can easily just cross reference the names of zones to the wiki page.

Well, part of this problem comes from (like you said) no one else holding aggro over you.
Whenever I play on my high toughness guardian my party has no problem running whatever.
(Of course, there’s still a dozen other aggro components that should remain absolutely the same)

But it’d be a nice addition to turn on/off your toughness aggro, in my opinion.

You did not read my post properly. It is not an option. It is not possible without touching core systems. Which will have other consequences. An MMO is a very complex thing.

I’m just thinking you overdid it a bit. I see how the core mechanics of where gold goes changed with removing the personal gold. And that the gold banking is altered.

But I’m just thinking you could use a lot of the old coding for the new system. Perhaps an addition to just re-add the coding of the personal gold, and then add a function to deposit / withdraw it from the wallet? That wouldn’t really effect much of the coding requiered for the wallet, except from removing that gold drops goes there (and you’ve already sorted that out with the old coding). Then it just requires you to code the deposit / withdrawel function.
I can’t look into your coding, so I wouldn’t know how much effort that would be… but it seems like the best of both worlds to me.

Warriors are actually becoming the big counter to necromancers. Their big inhibition is whether they can live through other classes and deal damage at the same time.

Can just outkite warriors as a necro, and they have too little CC to stand a chance.

Basically you get a fear off your runes, fear off your staff, fear of your wall (sometimes multiple times) and a fear off your death shroud. By that time any warrior will be long dead.

The main issue I have now, as I’m solo Q’ing… is that the chance of being up against 5 people for me is a lot higher. I’ll most likely get put with other solo Q’ers.

Although I haven’t played that many tournaments, that’s the impression I’m getting. Especially since I’ve been above 90%.

The candidate isn’t there for only 4 weeks, we’ll most likely see more from them in the future.

Hah, and I had just started farming CoF P1 like a week ago. Not my cup of tea, but I have a tough time making gold by doing what I really like to do (that would be running around with a zerg in WvW).
Well, back to the Fractals.

And now the champions will give you an extra reward.

Now I’d be curious if capping different towers would each reward you. That’d be nice.

Report them and block them.

If you use your fractal relics towards a 20 slot bag, it’s actually quite rewarding.

Level 30 gives me like 100 relics. And takes me about 45 minutes. Which results in saving me about 6.5 gold alone from buying the 20 slot bags.

And thats without any other rewards. So for me it’s worth doing it. And I enjoy it.
But hey, I guess that’s not what everyone is after.

Luckily, you don’t have to deal much damage to enemies to get the full reward.
It may not be perfect, but it really does seem like the best option to encourage participation in fights. As else, people would just sit back and spam heals without any risk.

It currently is just really anti-leech. And I’m ok with that.

I would really love for there to be ’’costumes’’ again, similar to the function of GW1.

An option to just use the skin of an armor, without having to wear it.
And then later on, you can just change the armor skin to whatever you feel like again.
Take off the costume to show your actual armor, or put on a whole different armor skin.

So how would you do this? Easy. Right click any armor ‘’Turn into costume’’.
This will remove all the stats, and then it can be placed in a costume slot.
Now I would like to see this for some of the Townsclothing as well.
Mostly the headwear would fit into this really well.

So, not to completely make Transmutation Crystals useless, you would have to use one of them per armor piece to turn something in a costume piece.

On top of that, I would like to have a PvE Locker (similar to the PvP locker) that you can use to store your Costumes.

That would make me so happy.

It isn’t really challenging. It’s more like: Lets throw in as many mobs as possible and give them crap tons of HP. See how that goes.

That’s why I liked the AR final boss fight a 1000x more.
That I call challenging.

This is just stack dps, kill plunderers and hope for decent spawns.

1. Indeed, there’s not much of an addition to the game. But, two minigames that are a lot more advanced than the ones we’ve seen before. And a little defense mission.

2. It’s already made clear that it wasn’t supposed to be like real life. It’s a pirate’s election.

3. They’re hosting mini events to try and win votes. Just like anywhere else with voting, people are holding events you can participate in.

4. People ask for challenging content… they get it… can’t complete it and then they whine. Now, if your post had constructive feedback I would’ve said how there are indeed some flaws that are horrible, but you seem to just be on a rant.

5. You’re not entitled to anything. Should we get rewards for getting achievements in other places as well? Oh, I completed all of the Explorer achievements and I didn’t get anything boo-hoo.

Why would ANET rig the election? They are the ones trying to collect data which character we want to see in the future.

It’s more about which fractal do we want to see in the future. Or are we so shallow that a WP discount can mesmerized us.

The fractal is a permanent addition which should drive your vote, not the temporary 4 week reduced wp costs (probably 10%).

What drives my vote is the FREE temporary content that I get rather than the temporary content I HAVE TO PAY FOR to experience. Not only that, I have absolutely no clue wtf happened at the reactor. I would like to see what happened.

Inquest happened. Same experiment like in CoE but they failed and that’s all.

It’s what the inquest was researching. Elder Dragons, that lead to the explosion that created the chaos rift and magic itself.

They are siphoning dragon minions. Not necissarily the dragons themselve are involved in it.

This doesn’t seem much like a bug to me.
It is because a ticket is considered ’’rare’’, and thus always spawns in a wooden chest.
Just like kite fortunes.

It doesn’t seem to have any effect on the drops of normal rare items.

I don’t want to vote for Ellen Kiel cause she’s just another goody two shoes NPC that gets all fame for your actions.
I don’t care about the cheaper WP’s.

Why I don’t want Evon Gnashblade.
I do not want to support RNG. It has to disappear.
I don’t want just a gemstore item as a benefit.

Why I want Ellen Kiel:
Thaumanova Reactor might have interesting lore, but we don’t know.

Now… who do I vote for. They both suck.
The fractal they promise can be a disaster either way. Too little is known for a proper vote. I got no clue what I’m voting for, fractal wise. And the other stuff is just a serious disappointment.

To be honest, the idea of anything more related to inquest is just a let down to me. The asura presence in this game is already pretty huge.

Focus on surviving while killing the plunderers.

Almost got it done in a group (25s left).
Then I just solo’d it afterwards.
Didn’t have to deal with the mortars cause I was in short range 24/7.

Both are very possible.

There’s dozens of posts saying ‘’This is unfair, Ellen Kiel will win’’
And then there’s heaps of posts saying ‘’No chance, Evon will win’’

Both have their reasons.

Ellen Kiel is yet another Trahearne.
Ellen Kiel takes all the credit for what you’ve done.
Thaumanova is another asuran thing, we have plenty of those.

Evon Gnashblade is evil.
Supporting him is supporting the lame RNG.
The fractal is more related to gw1 so is less relevant.
Those are just the main reasons I’ve read.
So, I don’t really think either one has that much of a bigger chance.

To be honest, I don’t see any objection with the fractal being tied to a candidate.
What is nonsense though, is that Evon only gives a bonus to a gemstore item. Worst yet, an RNG item. I’m going to vote for Evon, and will never buy anything RNG related with gems. Ever. Now that is what I can get kitten ed about.

That’s actually a full on costume, not just a simple hat.
Those things actually make sense to be townsclothing.

It’s other people deciding what they want to wear in battle. It’s like me telling you what to wear in battle. How does that make any sense? GW2 Themed fashion does not destroy the atmosphere of battle.
Wearing a skimpy outfit with the same stats as a fully plated armor, by your logics, is game breaking as it’s unrealistic. Well hey, there you have it. This is a game.

You can already choose what you want to show off, just transmute it. Want to wear that starter shoulders with perfect stats? Sure you can.
So why is there a differentiation between the fuzzy hats being townsclothing in the first place?

All you’re saying is, is that you don’t like it and therefor shouldn’t be part of the game.
While it would actually make more sense to choose whether you’d like it as townsclothing or pve / pvp gear.

I’m a role player. So there are things which can be explained with lore and are exaptable – and things who aren’t. Wearing townclothes in combat isn’t.

You can already transfer the appearance of an item onto that of another item. Therefor you should be able to transfer the fuzzy hat skin as well.
What differentiaties townsclothing from armor seems to be something completly irrational. Which is my main point of frustration.

Is it possible or not possible for those missing areas to be undiscovered jumping puzzles? Basically I’m wondering 2 things:

1. If the posters here who miss some areas did not do all jumping puzzles.
2. If the jumping puzzles indeed count, did the GW2 community find them all? I did not check to see if the list on Wiki contains all the puzzles found in the achievements tab.

I’m a guardian myself playing with a guardian friend. So happily I don’t run into this.
But, it’s easy to spot when someone isn’t too familiar with their class. It generally helps them if you can just tip them what to do.

Adding to this, I really hope that there will be more incentive given to people using their blueprints in a good way. For instance, putting down a ram and knocking down the door will not grant you anything. While someone in the back can have fun shooting with a ballista getting kills while hitting that door, for instance. Or someone using an arrow cart. All three of these can be just as important, but the ram just lacks in rewards that you get. (Heck, if I put down a ram I’d rather let someone else use it… that shouldn’t really be the idea now would it?)

As far as more gold / karma, I’m already earning too much in my opinion. Just that it’s not earned in a way that I’d like it to be. For instance, I sometimes run into a keep where the inner gate is at 5% and I get the full reward from capturing it in the end. While I didn’t contribute jack all.

There’s just my idea of actually transferring some of those rewards earned from capturing it to breaking down the wall or killing people while besieging it.

My suggestion would be to implement a mode to help you with the exploration of the map. What I suggest it would do is highlight the areas that you haven’t explored yet (in a fashionable sense).

This way you don’t have to wonder around areas hoping that you stumble upon it. Yet, you’ll still have to find that hidden entrance to the cave that you haven’t explored yet.

Another plus on this is that now you don’t have to google jumping puzzles to find where they are hidden. You’ll still have to find your way to the entrance and it would not be ruined in any way.

It could also be used to highlight events going on in the map, to give you more sense of what’s going on. Mostly you’ll see people asking for it now. Might as well show it then, right?

It should be available to you after getting 100% world completion. Ideally I’d like you to spawn a little pop-up window where you can tick what you’d like to show on your map. That’s all just my opinion of course, and I’d be thrilled if it were implemented.

On the wiki it says ’’Swashbuckler’s Cave’’ is a location.
I’m not too sure if that means it should show up on your map as such, but it’s not doing so for me :O

I’ve got absolutely no solution to finishing this other than to mindlessly walk around.
What areas count towards it?
Is there a way to check what is left undiscovered?

Good to know, but that’s not that much karma needed for it, it seems like.

Or the WvW karma bonus’s are just that insane.
Same thing with meta events.

It’s easy to get about 50k karma each day for me.

The weird thing is, it seems to be both actually. I’ve received high level items in low level zones along with low level items. With exception of the zone completion reward, that’s always zone dependent.

Ok, so I just got enough karma to buy the last piece of my armor. Then I’ve got exactly the stats on my gear that I want. (It’s currently bugged so I can’t actually get it yet).

Now I’ve come to the point where I ask myself, what to do with the karma?

I haven’t used it to transfer it into gold simply because I don’t believe it was intended to be used for that. I’ve already decided what skin I want for my armor and weapons (and it’s a dungeon set so no karma there).

That leaves the question, what else is there to buy with karma?
