apothecary does’nt have build diversity. forces you into a tanky condi role which isn’t ideal for any pve scenario. berserkers unfortunately has the most build diversity. there are endless builds you can run with full zerk.
it’s from steel packed powder.
you can use berserker or rampager or rabid. it all depends on how you like to play. if you primarily do pve, then i recommend berserker or rampager. if you wvwvw, go berserker or rabid.
don’t use travelers runes. they are ~6-7g each. run ac a few times and use monks.
don’t use strength runes. use pirate. they are way cheaper.
if you opt for berserker, take 10 out of firearms and put it into tools. rifle will be better too.
an hgh build will give you stability, condi removal, stun break, stealth, and grenades.

If you’re getting kicked for no reason at the end of the dungeon, that is considered griefing, is reportable through support.guildwars2.com and may result in a 72 hour ban if warranted (assuming they still do it).
ty i didn’t know you could report through the site. will do that. i was streaming at the time so i have video evidence.
so your logic is that if i don’t like someone, because he’s wearing yellow dye and kitten yellow dye, i am allowed to kick him from a fractal 48 run just as jade maw is about to die without consequence. best logic. #1 logic. i remember when i was in high school.
anyway the point, once again because it is apparently too complicated for you, isn’t about my particular run. my run was just an example. i’ve seen it happen so often that it warranted the 30 seconds of my life to make this thread. the thread is about how i can report people like you for kicking at the end of a dungeon because “oh i didn’t like that person”. the thread is asking anet what’s being done about kick griefing.
Kicking players should never become bannable . Some people don’t
Have much time to play and if some1 is messing up the whole run
Because he refuses to listen then I don’t know why not kicking
the run was about to be over. i got spite kicked because the guy died. i didn’t “mess up the whole run”. the point of the thread is to illustrate how morons can kick people who do not deserve it with impunity without consequence. stop posting please.
i’ve been running ac since sept 2012. i know what i’m doing. i was a mesmer and i didn’t want to get cleaved into oblivion. so i went behind the boss but stayed near grast so the falling rocks wouldn’t get me. one guy told me to stack up. he got cleaved to death. then as the boss was about to die, i get kicked.
i’ve seen this happen too many times. i’ve seen people get kicked on jade maw during a fractal 48 run because of a disagreement on what the best class is. how can this be allowed to happen? what’s being done about this issue?
from an AC P3 party because I wasn’t in the corner of the pillar. The boss was at like 10% life. I’ve been in groups where angry boys have kicked people for disagreeing with them. What’s being done about this issue? How can I report them for griefing?
from my experience, the key to leveling quickly is to have permanent or near permanent swiftness. so i recommend 10 in tools for swiftness on kit swap before anything else. if you want to level with conditions, grenades, bombs, and double pistols are your best bet. 10 into explosives for burning on crit is great. 10 into firearms for pistol cooldown and bleeding on crit is also good.
here is the standard condition grenade build.
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcAQJAqOlIq6dJxi6lEZUhODUh8Ski8T/+8gtSLIE-jwBBYhBkkGkEBITqIasVTFRjVdDTHjIqGA-e
you can tailor it to your playstyle. for example if you want to be more offensive you can use noble runes and trait enhance performance over short fuse for more might.
or you can go bomb/grenade
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcAQJAqelIq6d3zSiF1LJyoCdGoC5lIF5n+95BbJXQIA-jwBBYhBkkGkEBITqIasVTFRjVdDTHjIqGA-e
the popular HGH variant. you can use noble runes for this one too. i just prefer boon duration. this version isn’t as good as the others for leveling primarily because you need to be level 70 to achieve full effectiveness.

100% explore orr for a chance, rare yakkington gear drops
-you are building for condi damage, so don’t use a soldier shield or trait toughness to power. you also don’t have a lot of ways to apply conditions. you’re going to want to use abilities that apply a lot of bleeds/burns to do decent condi damage especially since with apothecary gear you won’t have stellar condi stats. bomb kit, rocket boots, grenade kit, flamethrower all apply good burns and/or bleeds.
-you have a lot of healing gear but not many ways of healing people. maybe slot an elixir gun in there.
-you’re going to need formula 409 if you want to remove condis with elixirs. and since you’re using multiple elixirs, you may want to use the 20% cd reduction trait.
i find 10 into tools for swiftness over firearms would be better. 10 firearms is more for a condi build. i’d also take incendiary powder over the elixir trait. if you’re stacking might you’ll have enough condi to make burn hurt.
general rule of thumb is if you don’t deal a lot of damage, be sure you can stack vulnerability, might, and/or fury.
Yeah, 4k damage at 25 might stacks for a 2 1/4 s channel at 425 range is really not that much.
The scaling on the FT is terrible.
i do 4k flame jets fighting undead in sparkfly and i don’t have full zerk gear nor do i spec heavily in tools for crit damage. i think your numbers are off.
you should never use bursting over battle. luckily we can wield 2 weapons to have both bursting and battle.
standard axe build. works extremely well. i personally use spectral walk for the last utility but use w/e you want.
ghastly claws > well of suffering > life blast > repeat
the magitech armor has all your engineer needs. or roll an asura. the t2 and t3 headgears seem to be what you all want.
the range increase isn’t what makes grenade kit powerful
if you’re leveling just go power gear and then power/prec. ft/bombs work well. permanent swiftness with tools 10 really helps with map completion.
right, but if you’re going dual daggers, it becomes a hybrid
no it doesn’t. offhand dagger provides condition transfer and weakness, still pretty good for a power build.
anyway i ran this on my necro because i wanted a life siphon build
i don’t run it anymore but it was fun for a while and surprisingly durable.
(edited by ellesee.8297)
the best pve support = vuln, might, fury stacking.
i fail to see the correlation between elitist and experienced. when i put experienced only i expect you to have knowledge of the dungeon so we can skip the trial and error process. there’s a difference between that and omfgonly minmaxer zerk specs allowed. i couldn’t care less if you’re a support ranger or a cleric condi necro as long as you’re kiting oozes to the oil.
(edited by ellesee.8297)
use both. most traits that affect the flamethrower also affect the elixir gun, though if you had to pick one, pick the flamethrower. better at tagging, more dmg, fire field, etc.
every pvp team and every pve dungeon run wants a guardian. they’re fine.
ah i was close. incendiary powder over speedy kits.
many people would quit the game if they couldn’t dress their girls in revealing outfits. but i agree
i want to guess 0/20/10/30/10. am i right?
yes grenades are one of the engi’s strongest kits but let’s add more to it!
most condi engis run bomb/grenades

though those 2 builds are way less active than phineas poe’s build.
Are you sure? I’ve never had it do more damage than the rifle does with its auto attack (around 2k give or take with Zerker), and it moves half as fast which is why I hate it so much.
well i had 25 might and the jellyfish boss had 25 vulnerability but it’s pve. i was also traited for the speargun because at the time i was running a FT/SD build and obviously the FT can’t be used underwater. the projectile speed shouldn’t really matter that much in pve but yes i agree in any pvp/wvwvw setting it’s garbage.
to me celestial is a hybrid build setup that has more defensive stats than rampager. it would work well with builds that use grenades, flamethrower, or bombs; builds that utilize both physical and high damage condis like burning. it would work especially well with those builds plus might stacking. i don’t really recommend going full celestial though. a mix of celestial and rampager or carrion gear would be ideal for hybrid. if you’re going full condition, stay away from celestial.
the harpoon gun isn’t terrible for pve. i usually crit 4-5k with it and that’s an auto attack.
lol thief spear 2 is pretty strong. basically like a s/d build that costs way less initiative.
because the blood tree is not that good.
for pve it’s just preference really. rabid doesn’t do as much damage as rampager but ups your survivability by a lot, and you wouldn’t have to swap armors for wvwvw.
for berserker gear, the thread title says condition grenades. take the zerk elitism elsewhere. god pve minmaxers are so annoying.
as for pvp, go with rabid. 100% of the time. rampager amulet is so terrible.

Sometimes when I use the jump pad, I will die to fall damage.
Sometimes during the battery phase, the megalaser will go down in 2 seconds. People say there’s a champ abomination that spawned inside it but I don’t know.
Sometimes I will randomly crash. Setting my graphics to lowest has stopped it so far but that’s not a real fix.
(edited by ellesee.8297)
here are some out of the box builds that i’ve used in the past that i’ve found success with or have just been really fun (smacking things with a wrench). i modified them to use celestial armor. naturally your stats won’t be optimal with celestial gear but you said you were ok with that so here goes.

these are pve builds for the pvp fanatics who will most definitely come in to criticize. obviously none of these are meta builds of any sort, but being the hipster that i am, i don’t care for meta builds. i’ve cleared dungeons and killed teq with these without any complaints even from elitist zerk warriors so they work fine.
so you have gear that you plan on using with every build. how can you be bored then? there are so many builds out there to choose from. tell me what you like about the class and i’ll do my best to help you create a build.
well here’s the issue. there are many, many, many builds you can run with an engi, but if you refuse to swap armor stats then you’re just limiting yourself to a few. ok you spent a month crafting celestial armor. i understand. i’m still working on a celestial set for my necro. it’s a pain i know. but if you’re bored, then you have change or you’ll be stuck in a perpetual state of disappointment and forum complaints and you can’t be helped.
bit off topic but i’m 5 days away from completing celestial armor on my necro. respect. that kitten takes so much time.
i understand you put a lot of work into your char. so instead of complaining about what you don’t like about the class, try explaining what you do like and maybe we can help you.
for instance you say you don’t like kits. ok. how about a SD rifle build? no kits. or maybe an hgh rifle/pistol build? no kits. if you run turrets, you’ll just end up disappointed. they are bad. i mean real bad.
there will always be builds that are superior to others. that’s how these games work. if you don’t like them, swap classes. why continue playing a class you don’t enjoy?
asura because the backpacks aren’t oversized and ugly.
the 4 people were probably really bad.
well if you use thumper turret for the stunbreak then logic dictates you wouldn’t place the turret down in the first place.
standard axe/DS build

just something i threw together. i seriously doubt its effectiveness because you know, turrets.
support turrets

if you’re tired of kits why don’t you run something like a SD rifle build or an hgh pistol/rifle build?
