yes it works if you detonate the turret. it also works with supply drop. it’s a decent trait.

pu builds are pretty slow. spam grenades if they go invis. being slow also means they’ll never catch you if you decide to disengage.
mesmers have limited condi removal. burst them down when null field ends or if they use arcane thievery.
shield offhand may be better. you already have rocket boots for burning.
because as you were filling up flasks with the fast acting tonic to put on your belt, in your haste you forgot to fill the syringe ammo for your gun. dummy
occasionally i will run a melee wrench build. i like my 4k, 4k, 6k auto attack chain and my 17k jump shots and that was before modified ammo affected tool kit.

eg is not an offensive kit. if the only kit you’re running is eg, even with 25 stacks of might you will have issues dealing damage.
top left corner of the screen go to pvp, go to heart of the mists, take asura gate (big round pink portal) to lion’s arch, head to gate hub plaza waypoint and take asura gate to other 1-15 zones and level up there until you’re high enough to go back to your starting zone. don’t grind because that will get old very quick.
jump shot isn’t a blast finisher. it’s a leap finisher so if you jump shot in a water field you’ll only get 3 seconds regen. healing turret already has 13 seconds of regen you can stack. there’s no need to jump shot in a water field especially since jump shot is your strongest attack. the best way to use healing turret is to place it, overcharge, and detonate it immediately for a burst heal (because detonating a turret is a blast finisher), or place it, overcharge and pick it up for less healing but shorter cooldown.
you have 4 other people on your team putting conditions on. jump shot someone that your necro just used signet of spite on and it’s +12% extra damage. also ogre runes might be a better choice over scholar. but it’s up to you.

and if they were random what’s to stop them from rolling for instabilities?
i like the reaper one that was datamined or whatever on dulfy
reaper: death periodically strikes which i can only assume to mean occasionally a random party member will die. best instability.
you should swap to your weapon occasionally. static shot chain blinds, blowtorch is huge damage, and glue shot can help with kiting. play the class like an ele sort of. use skills, swap kits, use skills, swap kits, etc.
i wonder about 30/30/0/10/0
say you’re running a power bomb kit build 25/10/0/10/25. if you go 30 into firearms, you lose 25% crit damage as well as the enduring damage trait which is basically 5 conditions up at all times when you compare it to modified ammo. is target the maimed and the extra crit chance worth the static discharge and crit damage loss? (also perma swiftness which i can’t live without)

this is steamhawke’s grenade/SD build. i prefer personal battering ram over rifle turret. you can go exploit weakness or accelerant packed turrets for the explosives adept trait as they changed incendiary powder. if you go accelerant packed turrets, maybe consider using rifle turret and use healing turret

i have used mostly every trait including the inventions tree. i listed the traits i don’t use as per the thread. i don’t like the inventions tree because i need all 70 points for other things. that’s how i play my engineer. if by some miracle i start to enjoy playing bunkers i’d start putting points into inventions.

i was going to run that build but with adventurer runes. i like dodging. my only issue is the damage lost without battle. i really like battle
just because you don’t use a trait doesn’t mean it’s not good. some traits fit certain play styles you don’t enjoy playing.

firearms:
go for the eyes, rifled barrels, infused precision, sitting duck,

alchemy:
automated response, self regulating defenses, acidic coating

Blunderbuss. Updated the ranges on this skill so that it is at 100% effectivness with anyone in melee range. Increased range 200 units when using the trait.
from the dec 10 patch preview. range only increases when traited. nobody traits for increased range so w/e
Protective shield, stabilizing armor, and cloaking device are 3 traits that expand your survivability a great deal. Automated medical response can really be a life saver. Reinforced shield isn’t great, but it is good. As well, Elixir infused bombs is integral and build defining for many players builds. Personally I feel you have to be crazy to believe that it is, as you so intelligently put it, “poopy”.

basically you just use your rifle kill combo net shot > jump shot > blunderbuss > overcharged shot and all your toolbelt skills to nuke things with the static discharge trait. as for gear use full zerk. if you can’t afford scholar runes, use ruby orbs.
