Autoattacks dmg are one of the things that should be changed and makes the game less “skillful” in many ways, makes the gameplay different.
People say that there is so much spam dodges. But why is that ?
People have to counter random dmg with random dodge. Autoattacks shouldnt never ever have to make pressure and force u to use dodge or even waste one of ur def cds no matter with/vs what class no matter what amulet,runes but this happens a lot.
It needs to be down, it doesnt let u to focus and dodge only important burst/off cds
from the enemy u have to just random dodge. Also AAs shouldnt proc with any offensive sigil. Even in the teamwork mechanics If AAs would do less dmg, players would even set up, sync their burst more. If its toned down u can even nerf vigor/energy.The game should direct player to know all off abilities and counter it with dodge, sync the burst. Not by doing pressing 1. Try to count how many times u will have to waste dodge vs AA and gives some player advantage above u because of his AA + sig procs when u play next in 1V1s.

Pretty much this. If you want to eliminate RNG you have to rework the whole game , not just air/fire sigils.

I don’t really get this position where some thieves think it should be toned down because it’s easier than their super hard man spec that takes real men to play.
Don’t you guys play all specs/modes depending on mood? Who’s actually playing ONE spec all the time in ONE game mode? I play SA heavy if I want to relax, last night I was playing pure glass signet burn build because I was fidgety and wanted to twitch and blammo people. I get WAY more reward (personal points, team support) by playing power so let the shadow lovers be so they can enjoy the game too (and I can enjoy it when I get bored of power specs and play defensive specs). All classes can be played this way… relaxing or twitchy. That’s good. Floor and Ceiling.
This game has been going the way of DAoC for too long now… whiners everywhere, class envy all over the shop and intra-class spec envy.
The problem with SA though is that it’s one way or another a massive source of thief nerfs elsewhere. There’s little room to buff/alter the class elsewhere when traits like SE and SR exist.
SE and SR aren’t that great. In all actuality 1v1 a non SA thief has the upper hand due to trickery.

I agree with Elitist. D/D celestial elementalist is the strongest spec in the game and has a very low skillcap. Any1 who thinks celestial D/D is hard to play probably dosent PvP or dosent know what he is talking about.
The amount of sustain this spec has is insane and allows alot of mistakes compared to other classes. IF you are new to PvP, D/D cele ele is a good spec for new players
Sizer farms every thief on EU, the only reason Levin killed sizer its because he was sitting in stealth forever and waiting to get that spike off.
And those 2 thieves never dueled, it was just the D/P trying to gank sizer while he is in a team fight. Sizer would 100-0 Levin in a actual 1v1.
You do know that this would destroy any chance for thieves against condi.
Yes some thieves reset over and over and over again but one has to wonder what build are people using to fight thieves.
SA on a PD dire thief seems rediculous but the problem is actually dire/condi. SA DP is easily predictable and if you are losing to that this late in the game it’s because you got out played
This is a lie , any condi spike build is easy to avoid except for engis passive burning. A P/D thief without SA would also be easy kill.
Just because you can’t play without SA, doesn’t mean we all have that player skill issue.
Geomancy- doom is also over the top. If doom sigil didint exist, warrior would be in a decent stop right now and D/D ele wouldnt be that strong.
Yes steal is OP but what you want thieves to run instead of trickery? Shadow arts= garbage, acrobatics= garbage, Deadly arts= meh garbage as well in my opinion except mug. Crit strikes and trickery are the only good traitlines.
So if they nerf steal the meta build would be an old school full damage build like 5/6/0/0/3? That build wouldnt have a chance to survive in this meta in 1v1. Only ganking around like some kitten.
And S/D 2/6/0/6/0 would lack utility. I dont see what thieves can use besides from trickery……. Unless you just want the cooldown increased on steal.
Also without boon steal, D/D ele vs thief would become a one sided match up and its already hard enough to 1v1 a cele D/D ele

If you think SA automatically makes you bad and no decent player feel like using it then your hate is more ignorant then it seems lol. SA is toughness/healing trait line..yes even thief have a right to it..lol thief =/=glassy assasin.
Wait till they are new games modes then the conquest SA thieves will stop intimidating you and move to that. Until then I feel they have to be here and conquest should be removed.
This guy trying to destroy d/d lol thieves nerfing their nerfed selves. The game doesn’t revolve around that little circle in your server.
Thieves do not need SA to survive , stop making false statements. We have blind stealth , interupt, boon steal and evades. You do not need to sit in stealth for 30 minutes to survive unless you’re bad.
From a main thief, when I see SA thieves in PvP it just kittens me off.
1- SA players are useless because they deal low damage and cant cap while in stealth
2- any player that uses the SA trait line becomes bad so its unhealty for the game
3- sitting in stealth forever should not be rewarding because its poor gameplay
Solution, shadow rejuvanation now only heals for 20 hp per second, so if you wanna heal you would need Healing power gear. Rant over.
In before people who defend shadow arts, even though our class is harder to play than the others, shadow arts makes the thief the most faceroll class in the game. and everytime I see an SA thief I feel like deleting my thief due to how shameful that build is.

Warrior is not underpowered. Their role has been stolen by celestial engineers and elementalist that have : Better damage, better sustain, better group utility and better 1v1 capability.
Once these 2 get nerfed, warrior will be in a good place.
Longbow is not OP. As I said several times it is VERY EASY to play but not OP. A mediocre trash ranger can kill people very easely if they dont react fast enough. Once they fail their rapid fire and use their invul they are dead.
I noticed that the leaderboard system rewards you for not playing after a lucky win streak. Because the more you play the less rank you gain. In the other hand a losing streak is extremly punishing you can lose so much rank just because of 3 loses.
Basically if you win 5 games in a row and end up in the top 50-100 you can just afk from there and play 1 game per day and show everybody how skilled you are because you never dropped out of the top 50.
So maybe there should be a more accurrate system? Lets say I’m always around top 400 and lose 5 games in a row, with the current system it could kick me out of the leaderboard or 5 wins in a row would put me in top 100.
Which is not accurate at all because in reality I’m supposed to be rank 400 on average. The rank should only move after MANY games played not just 2-3.
I know solo Q dosent matter but having a better leaderboard would already lower the QQ on the forum about how bad solo Q is.
I think too many people use a weapon instead of a stick. Nerf.
You are playing a mediocre weaponset and then QQ?. D/D is not viable and only works against bad players who cant dodge CnD.
Play S/D or D/P and you will be able to 1v2 pew pew rangers with ease. They are not overpowered, just extremly easy to play.

I hadnt played in 5months, i Played 1 game, went up 17k ranks to rank 1…… I play pistol/pistol 17 13 28 12 10 thief…. does that make it viable?? Warrior is fine, you just cant be as terrible when you play it….
I agree with this, especially alot of high ranked players play turret engi, dosent mean its viable.
Power or condi ranger is so easy to play that most of them literally have no brain and will attack you even if you are reflecting. Just bring reflects.

The ’’real’’ PvPers are rich, if you watch sizer stream he has thousands of gold and plenty of legendaries. Its only the top tier PvPers that are rich.
Its still unfair because a PvP player has to be top tier to earn gold while a PvE scrub can just zerg down few bosses or dungeons and make more money.
The problem is not about money but the skill required to earn gold is too high compared to PvE.
IP engi is more toxic than turrets. Because you can always run away from a turret engi and fight on other pointss. However the passive burning you cant do anything… 0 counterplay .
Overpowered means that the class has simply too much of everything without much sacrifice. The current D/D celestial ele is a good example ,, they can hold a point , 1v1, support team fights , backcap with incredible mobility, great condi and power damage , great condi clear and overall survivability.
Literally everything in one build , at least the old hambows couldn’t chase you. Its OK to have an OP build in the game if it has mediocre mobility because it makes thief/mesmer combo more usefull but then you have OP bunker builds with incredible mobility like celestial engineer and ele that makes mobile classes completely useless.
I’ve seen so many engis in PvP trying to say " I’m not turret but triple kit" and yet use their crate in the first 3 seconds of the fight.
So I’m just gonna remind you that the use of the supply crate in 1v1 makes you a turret engineer. Like it or not but its the truth . Usually the engineers that lack skill will use the crate as " I win button " in 1v1 and the good engis will save it for team fight or a support utility for their allies.
Sincerly thief, that has been crated in 1v1 in the first 3 seconds by bad engis.
pvp should be balanced at the high – highest level of play. that’s maybe the reason why turrets haven’t been nerfed yet.
having said that… i wouldn’t mind if passives get nerfed regardless of the level of play they are used in.
If you balance at the highest level of play that means you ignore everybody who plays solo Q. Turret engineer is the most cancerous build in solo Q and completely ruins the experience.
