After rolling a Guardian, I have to say the most common exploit is playing a Guardian.

By that i assume you mean the amount of times it ticks. Because retal damage is based on power and we all know we cant have infinite power.
It has no cap for ticks but for stacking the boon itself.

If there’s no wall, I don’t take lightning flash. Instead I keep my inventory full and open a champ loot bag to self-snare mid Firey Rush. Obviously advanced mechanics.

If fiery rush gets a trail nerf, reflect should get a nerf too e.g. Feedback/WoR shatters after reflecting 5 shots.
Completely agree. Reflections are being abused by every party, while fiery rush is a gimmick.

Not exactly, it has cap for stacking but it has no damage cap.
If your whole team is using ranged weapon you most likely can’t give those boons to all of them.
Retaliation doesn’t have a cap.
If fgs can do 250k dmg, what about the most obvious offender, feedback. Is doing 800k dmg not too much? Even worse, reflections are used everywhere to not only deal damage but to protect yourself while dealing even more damage.

I’d rather have them nerf all conjures but buff ele abyssal dps. Instead, the former will happen while the latter not. And ele will be like necro, having no unique mechanic that could contribute.
Each 3rd strike it helps you to negate damage from boss and not to dodge.

If boss oneshots you in melee and you die how will you make DPS?
If you constantly dodge + 3 hits dps is not that high.Do you have videos? All videos with elem in melee i saw are:
3 strikes -> dodge -> 3 strikes -> dodge -> wait for aoe -> etc…
Tell me which boss do you have in mind.
Bloomhunger? Obviously not.
Mossman? Stay at max melee range.
Jellyfish? Not exactly a choice.
Imbued Shaman? He’s ranged with 1 annoying melee attack. Staff doesn’t have aoe projectile defenses,
Norn Shaman? Stay at max melee range.
Archdiviner? Stay at max melee range.
Dredge Suit/Ice Elemental? Stay at max melee range while kiting towards lava buckets or just burst him down at lower levels.
Captain Ashyn? I’d like to see anyone meleeing him in p3 at higher levels.
Boss have only 1 person aggroed and even if that person is you stay at max-melee range.
In this scenario constant damage on 1200 meters is higher.
You can’t do constant damage unless you use soft cc which you can only use by swapping attunements and that means less dps.
Rifle warrior, because you can’t dps if you’re dead on the ground.
Obviously you haven’t mastered throw rock dps rotation with proper food.
Burning is strong in pve and needs longer duration.
Tbh LH builds are leech and they get fury from outside source. Also, 3rd attack from chain is a blast and has 5 people aoe cap.
I dont know of any skill which bursts as high as fiery rush.

What level of fractals are you challenging?
1) You can stay 1200 meters away and do constant damage with 0.8 spell coefficient
2) You can use LH with 1.8 coef but make dodges each 5 seconds and stay away not using Whip or LH and waiting for boss AOE.In the second case your DPS can probbably be the same as in case 1. Isn’t It?
You play the game for fun/challenge or loot? If the former, you want to stay in melee, in the latter, it doesn’t matter.

I got some reflections that reflections are the answer to everything in pve.
It should be considered an exploit.

Until you get within a certain range, then you do an attack similar to the Warrior Rush. My point is, haviz. The skill was intended to be used with a target in mind, and the skill has a mechanic to it which alters it when you do so. People deliberately use the skill without a target, to achieve what I believe is an unintentional result.
What happens if you start a rush from 1200 range, have a target and use flash? Can’t check now.
Also, I’ve seen Fiery Rush ticks cap over 4k. I can get the screen when my friend logs on. 68*4k = 272k. 300k+ is theoretically possible.
It depends on armour but for simple estimate Lupi has 33% damage reduction. 1.5*2.5k*68 = 255k in 10s. Axe autoattack is ~2 times worse.
They should buff other skills then. Or make Rampage similar!
Rampage is already too strong for skipping.
If you have a target doesn’t it just leap without any line of fire?
And it doesn’t mention leaving multiple points of fire under you.
You will leave a trail if target isn’t very close to you. Trail means multiple points, it’s the same with burning speed.

I don’t think the trail from Fiery Rush was ever intended to be the main damage aspect of it. People are intentionally avoiding using the skill as intended (to rush to the target, proc’ing the final part of the skill) to get full potential of the fiery trail. WA and Whirl aren’t used the same way.
If the insane damage from Fiery Rush came from the part of the skill which only gets used if you have a target, I wouldn’t see anything wrong with it (other than a single hit doing 300k+ damage)

I don’t think it is an exploit. The skill is just overpowered. I think they should make AoEs bigger but reduce their amount.
Warriors are overpowered as well, huehuehue.
I’m not gna comment the “against a wall” thing, but the blink trick is not a big deal since cooldown for it is huge (40s)
It also has a counterplay, namely Risen Illusionists in Arah!
It’s ~25k dps considering cooldowns for rush. Axe autoattack is around 10k if I recall correctly.
Since I’ve seen a lot of controversy around those very frequently abused mechanics, do you think if using whirlwind attack and fiery rush/whirl against a wall or while being immobilized an exploit/broken mechanics? Should it be fixed or considered an advanced mechanic?

This particular CoE boss is a fair target for example damage output as he really is just a punching bag, but what do you do against Lupi, or many other of the very unfriendly melee bosses in this game?
Don’t say lupi is very unfriendly melee boss, you might not be taken seriously by some people. If you want some examples of bosses that are most likely to be ranged it would be archdiviner during phase 2 and maybe colossus rumblus.

Sabull and I calculated staff’s dps some time ago.
We considered an optimal rotation (stay in fire, spam meteor shower and lava font on cooldown), with cooldown (which deals more damage than the +5% on burning targets if you take all final modifiers into account). In theory the total time of the rotation was 29.8s, but in practice it appeared to be 31s. It was Sabull who did the empirical tests, and he told me that this lag is hard to explain but constant.
We assumed a player-size target (meteors have a 25% chance to hit on average).Total time: 31s
Casts per second: 0.74 (so Puissance stacks might to 7.4, not included in calculation)
Total coefficient: 38.25Coefficient per second: 1.23 (Lightning whip: 1.22, LH: 1.42)
So yes, it appears that staff deals good damage, but wait! In fact staff’s weapon damage is about 10% higher than one-handed weapons.
So the correct coefficient per second would be 1.36 !

Once she stealths you have 45 seconds to run the sparks and dps her down. Her hp shouldn’t matter unless you won’t dps her below 50%.

It doesn’t need more waypoints because it’s easy enough, arguable the easiest of arah paths.
Yes, this bug happens (rarely) and yes, there are even more bugs with her like sparks being active while he’s not stealthed. That in turn makes her not swapping phases.

You would most likely be able to do 3 new fractals at level 1 with 0 agony resistance.
Conjures and kits get the stats of the highest tier weapons that you can use at your level.
Since asc will be the new highest tier LH will do the damage of an asc hammer at lvl 80.
Meaning we and engis will get max damage before anyone else,so what exactly is the problem?
Sad we have to use a conjure to do any damage tho.
Problem is anet’s disability to think about everything. I wouldn’t expect them to change conjures/kit to ascended levels at the patch day.
It’s debatable because how it might problematic to survive jade maw agony for some parties.
Agony at 40-49 will deal 6% dmg of your max hp with 55AR.
