Without fgs, ele is just another necro in dungeons and the worst proffesion in other game types.

Yes I would suggest that on fractals since you don’t need Pure of Voice but Two Handed Mastery still comes in very handy (interrupting jellyfish agony, etc).

I’ve been running 10/30/0/5/25 for fotm 49+ because you can take both V and VI in virtues for certain encounters.

Their guild name is kinda ironical since this game is purely directed towards casuals. Casuals of the world, unite!

When I first heard about fgs+flash I thought people used it like with double fiery whirl – you rush behind your target and flash in front of him so you move past him twice.

I don’t see whines about feedback doing 800k damage on a boss with perma quasi-protection or skill called ****** dealing 2 million damage on certain bosses.

This HC whines remind me of this vid, just replace badger with exploit and mushroom with fgs.

GW2 meta is for people who don’t know how to use their combat log. You don’t hit for 32k if you’re a warrior, look at the kitten log.

So warriors and (partially) guardians do not meet those:
-Relative sustainability
-Flexibility in potential fighting styles
-Preferably low cool downs
-Relative independence (for when my entire party is dead)
and bonus:
-Combos for days
-Ability to enter WvW without having to completely change gear
-Mobility

because I’m sure we all heard about legendary mobility, sustainability and low cooldowns of an elementalist, right?

Only professions that meet those requirements are warriors and guardians. Embrace gw2 meta.

I would say, that I am very surprised that there is still an hardcore base trying to make this game more hardcore than it needs to be. This game is not meant to be fun. They want you to do open world crap. Dungeons? what are dungeons? anet doesn’t care about dungeons or more organized group activity.

If you care enough about what is a “legit” speedrun and what is not, you should probably not play this game.

My elementalist is rather OP than bad. I always get gold participation medal with epic world bosses allowing me to ascend my character even further through challenging quests.

If before you had to do one thing that possibly you didn t like, now you almost certainly will be forced to farm something you don t like.

10/30/30/0/0 is actually legit just for the DPS. You don’t use AH, though, you use Retributive Armor, Meditation Mastery, and Focused Mind.

Not many, go to a champ farm and take a look. I’ve only seen a few people with one, and one person had just got lucky and got one from a chest in WvW./The people I know who already crafted have one aren’t really grinders. They just run dungeons a lot (post cof 1) and the gold and champ bags that add up from that seem to be underrated.

Maybe because the skin is kittening horrible?

It costs 200g if you buy everything. Right now everything is at an inflated price. A gathering run with a couple of alts will get you all the raw materials you need for 1 or even 2 exotic items. A couple of boss fights will give you enough rares for the ectos. Do that 3 times – 5 times and you’re at 450. Then you can refine the new mats + do that routine again and you’ll actually make a little money rather spent 200g. All it takes is a little patience because obviously it will take a bit longer then just spending 200g on a single day.

You could also sell it for 200g.

Exactly. But those BHBs have no clue how to roleplay properly.

It also depends what you want to do in wvw. Do you want to run with zerg or roam? Also, zerker guardians in spvp are quite popular running 2-3 different type of builds but they are still full zerker (though you still get some bonus vitality) and retraiting costs nothing in comparison to changing gear.

Great point. Have you ever seen a movie with 4 hackers and 1 bystander watching their efforts or 1 hacker and 4 bystanders? This is coming from someone who plays on RP server so I’m pretty experienced with that stuff.

Well it is hardly a surprise, this discussion is not new at all. This matter has been discussed over and over. And every time it probably ended up just like this: with lack of evidence from the defendant.

That reminds me of the type of discussion I had with my parents when I was a kid. I would always come up with the best arguments, I would destroy their logic and bring them to the brink of conceding. But every time they would simply end up telling me that they are right, that I should do as they say. They would tell me they would not be able to prove their points to me at that time, but that I would understand as I grow up.

Oh but wait! Now that I am all grown up I can see it: they were always right!

Could that mean that sometimes people can be right even though they have no evidence to back their claims? Does that mean that maybe the only real way to understand their point of view is to have the maturity to see it for ourselves, with good will?

I remember role playing in WoW as a wandering troll huntsman, who came to town every other Friday to trade hides, claws and other assorted animal parts. I’d also craft armor, I even had some of the alliance only patterns in my selection of craftables. I got a fairly steady customer base and made a decent living too.

The reason not many people attempt 50+ fractals is because of agony and that AR only capped at 45 before the release of ascended weapons. Now that AR is capped at 55, i’m betting that more people will be attempting 50+ pretty soon.

“Would” is the key word here. Brainless spammers won’t do anything above 20+ anyway.

Fractals was introduced to satisfy players who wanted a more challenging content, as Anet put it. (citation needed)

Challenge isn’t synonymous with spamming 1 to get proper gear.

Now we weren’t supposed to have exotic once we hit level 80. Whoever said that lied or got the wrong information. Everyone at lvl 80 should be able to get the best stat gear without having to do stuff they don’t, is more like it. You can run dungeons, buy from TP, Craft. You got options.
