This is all about killing stuff on a screen and getting rewarded for it. At the end of the day, that’s all most MMOs are. So you like your killing in an instance, with all sorts of like tricks that make it “hard”., and I like my killing in the open world.
The difference is, I don’t go around posting about how your content is meaningless, while you claim my content is.
You can press 1 all day and get bis gear but why do I have to be forced to participate in cancer-inducing content?
Your content is as meaningless as every other, rehashed old crap. There was no meaningful content update for instance players since november.
Oh uhmm i don’t see any of my friends online at all i wonder where they get their concurrency figure from and all 5 of my guilds i join have only 1 or 2 active members left and they have 400-500 members need i show you any more screen shots?
The concurrency figure is probably from the launch.
It is rude but it’s also almost impossible not to when you’re in front of someone who has a 151 pages history of vehemently arguing in any thread showing any sort of criticism against anet. (what the f..? I don’t think anyone else in this whole thread has a comparable amount/omnipresence. Paid PR or you just don’t like this game as much as you pretend to and spend more time on forums than actually playing or doing other stuff in your life?)
I don’t think it’s possible to read the general discussion subsection for more than a week without developing a distaste for the One Man PR Army you represent.
LFG tool is simply amazing. I’d prefer ANet not to add any more filter option. People who wants to filter casual players can go somewhere else to find their kind of players but for average players it is perfect.
To give an example, I could never find lvl1 fractal group. Without LFG tool I’d be waiting hours even days to find a group. With LFG, I was able to find a group in less than a minute during morning server time and not only that we did level 1 to 3 at stretch without any problem. People were so helpful and understanding. I was also able to find story mode dungeon group who did not curse for not skipping cutscene.
LFG tool is designed for such players and should be kept as it is. One of the reasons I quit GW2 was because of difficulty in finding casual players to do contents with. Now I can stick around because of LFG tool

That exactly the point. The game was designed from day 1 to let players play whatever they choose to play. Any zone is open to any player at max level, mini games, jumping puzzles, secret events, WvW, new content every 2 weeks, There is more content then anyone can possibly consume. Yet those same players complained that there was nothing to do other then run dungeons and do event chains because that was the most rewarding content and they refused to play anything but the most rewarding content.
And this design so no longer valid. You have to do certain content if you want to acquire new gear. At launch you had four ways to get new shinies, now just one.
The game needs to evolve people. There is a market of MMO’s out there that is called “competition”. ANet needs to compete with them.
If people are getting bored of the manifesto-based content – ANet needs to deviate to continue the game, to keep more players interested and make profit (yes, ANet is a company whose primary goal is to make money – they are not a charity created to cheer people up)
If you will argue that people like the manifesto more – my only response is, “just because you’re the loudest, doesn’t mean you’re the majority”.

This is the dungeon subforum. These days it seems like it’s sole purpose is to establish how out of touch the dungeon sub forum posters are with the general masses of the game. Must melee every dungeon, must use every stacking trick available, must run zerker builds, must skip every skippable mob in the dungeon, must dump on every ranger that doesn’t run sword.
There is at least five of them, I’m honestly baffled why they are ever pugging – it seems like they prefer each other’s company to everyone else in the game. God forbid someone run cleric’s gear in an attempt to support their party instead of zerking everything down regardless of whether their allies are alive or not at the end.
First of all, the same sorts of things you see on this forum, you see on other forums. Just look at Guild Wars 2 guru if you don’t believe me. There’s negativity on forums everywhere…in most MMOs, not just Guild Wars 2.
But people really were complaining about not having anything to do. The legendary wasn’t worth going for, because it was too much of a grind for the average person, and they’d hit level 80 run some dungeons and that was it.
Remember back then there were no guaranteed daily rares from world bosses, dungeons didn’t drop the same kind of loot, even, there were no Scarlet invasions. End game back then if you were a PvE’er were dungeon runs (fractals didn’t exist either) and running around Orr doing the event chains.
For a lot of people, they were farming, but for what? They already had the highest stats…and not everyone cares about skins (my sons for example).
Is it better now? You have to run like a mindless drone jumping from temple to temple, chop some saplings, use epic crafting station and then what exactly? There’s no content so why did anet in its infinite wisdom give us gear grind without a meaningful content? Is that some kind of ultimate “innovation” of stupidity in design?
That’s griefing. You’re doing it just to be mean to other players. Had you left early on, then whatever that’s your choice. Waiting until the last boss then leaving… that’s not cool.

As some people are still enjoying themselves I don’t like the way you seem to look down on those who are doing so, some of these threads do take a turn to the extreme though, but that’s mostly to blame to the people who keep on insulting and trolling each other for fun.

Every MMO needs in game LFG system.Everything that is outside of the game will never be as used as the one that is build in the actual game.
g2lfg.com is useful and will be useful to some time.When more people receive access to the new LFG tool,i don’t see why would they want to use gw2lfg.com.
You load up one of many sites with world boss timers, go into proper area and press 1. Important thing is to press 1 correctly, not like all newbs. After you gather necessary ingredients you use your epic crafting station to craft new shiny and then you can logoff because you completed the whole game.
Their guild name is kinda ironical since this game is purely directed towards casuals. Casuals of the world, unite!

Because posting in general discussion where you have scrubs fighting over who farms champions faster is a great way to start a proper discussion about dungeons, right? Not to mention the thread was like “Is fgs an exploit and why do you not agree with me?” Proper way to do that is to start discussion here.
No, I’m saying this because I’ve seen several games die, and whose deaths were highly accelerated, if not outright caused, by elitism that was left unchecked.
Indeed, we need more casual fluff. Casual living world, casual crafting, casual world bosses, casual pvp and now casual dungeons.

I’m pretty sure English is the most important second language in Poland and that it’s Bulgaria, not Bulgary.
Its the playerbase because people just want the fastest route possible and forgoe all other forms of enjoyment. Zerker or nothing.
I started playing full zerker on october. Before that I had some toughness/vitality but game was simply boring. So I started to exchange gear pieces and traits for more offensive ones.
Oh that dragon requires some fancy footwork. The player actually has to move around the map and even hit 2,3,4 and even higher number skills. And.. heaven forbid.. they may even have to… to… dodge something. O_O
Personally I don’t really have much to offer to the thread, Guardians seemed to be the best solo choice to me, because his name says survivability and is a little under warrior in damage. I personally havent played enough classes/builds to really make a solid statement though.
