Devil’s advocate time. The pinatas did have a bug in that when you hit them within seconds of another hitting them you would receive no candy. IIRC they patched it within a few days but it was not bug free even for simple content.
I should have really start to use /s.
What quality content have we been given? Honestly I can’t think of anything of quality other than Tequatl, FotM, or the wallet that we’ve been given as a result of living story. I’d much rather see updates less frequent if it means higher quality.
Waiting till they delete crafting since no one enjoys it.
So.. why not just fix f/u boss and add scarlet path as a 4th new rather than replacement path? Is this not the most obvious way of doing things that makes most happy? adding+ repairing?
I guess anet didn’t hear about Occam’s razor.
I guess we should delete crafting. And temple events. And Dead Story.
b) the gear doesn’t look good (on the characters I currently have)
Light armour is the best designed armour you can get from dungeons.
once in wvw I didn’t realize I had the wrong kit on my bar and used flamethrower on a zerg buffed by SYG…..
That’s why you should play real pvp.
They should delete cliffside fractal long time ago when wiping during arm seals didn’t reset enemies properly. I would love to have this fractal deleted because it means you have bigger chance to get dredge.
Least played dungeon is a terrible metric to use. Going by it, the best dungeon in the game is CoF 1 and the best activity in the game is champ zerging.
Did I forget to add /s at the end?
Are you saying that everytime i move out of a light field to blast inside my fire field on my ele i’m being an idiot? Great. :|
If those fields were overlapping and fire one was put down first, yes, you were.
Why the only fractal where ele shines?
cliffside and AC are the only istances where i play ele ._.
And what does make them shine in cliffside?
I’m not sure if i’d use larger symbols, so much room to screw fire fields (i don’t even like hammer that much because of that).
Combo fields don’t work like that. As long as you put down fire field before light field, the former one will be triggered.
Mickey Mouse certainly is more scary than Zhaitan
Who is Zhaitan?
Spec full glass get a bad pug and go cliffside fractals, you gonna have so much fun with it at the 2nd sealbreaking sequence.
Take 3 glass eles into cliffside 79. Your 2 other party members play a necromancer and a mesmer.
I thought the whole point of fractals is to have as many as possible.
Whole point of fractals is the clown car.
Btw, haven’t even touched your minds that the reason why some paths are underplayed is because every single path in the game except Arah 1,2,4 and AC reawards always 1g?
If tafu was so long/hard, bump it to 2/3g.
Boom, now it’s worth the challenge and the time.
Same thing for Cm, SE p2, Cof P3 or Honor p2-3.I’m baffled that after 2 months we are still at “everything 1 g except this this and this one” stage. I was baffled when it where implemented, letalone if it hasn’t been fixed after 2 months.
Metrics, man. You need to learn to read them and draw conclusions.
what if I tell you retaliation damage scales with your power?
Retaliation is a nightmare for me. I used fiery rush on risen illusionist.
New retal meta in 2014, after everyone decent quits because anet cannot design anything remotely hard.
Could you please stop interpret anything from seeing a dev playing the game? This is a kittening dev. He has no time to play the game. It’s pretty kitten stupid to assume them being pro or something.
Oh boy … flaming a dev for going any weird weapon combo is just shortsighted.
Let’s take a look at their, how he put it, “pro testers”. Not better at all.
You know what the real tragedy?
Those guys
-make the content
-balance the game
-are like the majority of playerbase, cause that’s the target playerWe’re doomed.
I think he said that they created a super dungeon team! Wait for it.
Oh and remember every time someone complains about X or Y dungeon being too hard (like all the whining when AC was revamped). A group like the one you linked in that video managed to complete it or it wouldn’t have been released. How much worse are the groups that are complaining?
That’s what I’ve been saying about god kitten simin for about 9 months. If those merry folks were able to do it, how bad were the people who couldn’t?
They should remove crafting because every person I know kittening hate it.
Let’s change Arah into Disneyland!
Hm?
What about Ascended Weapons?
Or Tequatl?
Or Guild Missions?
Or the added JPs?
And new mini-games?
You’re funny guy.
I’m wondering when we will see the threads about too much emphasis on trash killing. From people complaining before about skipping.
About as stupid as it works really, your sig alone proves it.
Then again its still more fun than playing a warrior, that class is boring as balls.p.s. plz fix stuff anet
This could be only my opinion but warrior is more fun than lh ele.
You should see party icons also, when you will see “kick” icon you have to dismiss it as quick as possible….
And that’s why I practise sync-kicking.
Mika, I was angry at him too, but then I realized that he’s really arguing for the sake of arguing.
He has more than 7700 post and if you count the time he spent to post plus the time that he spent on reading the forum he invested (at least) 400-500 hours here, polishing his white armor.
Do as I do for each of his post ignore him and go on memecenter, you’ll laugh more than he makes you laugh, plus you will avoid the stress of understanding a mirrorclimber.
Again I understand you, but I totally stopped responding directly to him after this and I feel better.
I would definitely post appropriate gif (the one with exploding head) but that would get me another infraction. Cheers, mate.
Actually meteor shower can deal at least 66k+ damage on a single human-size target, under speedkill conditions. And I am not even taking all possible buffs into account (like potions, night or slaying sigils, and non-stacking bloodlust)
For your information, on a human sized target (45 radius), the chance for a meteor to hit is: [ ( meteor blast radius + target hitbox radius * 2 ) / ( shower radius ) ] ^ 2
so: [ ( 90 + 45 * 2 ) / ( 360) ] ^ 2 = 0.25 (25%)This has been empirically tested and confirmed.
So on average 24 * 0.25 = 6 meteors will hit a single human-size target.
Each meteor hits with a coefficient of 1.3
So on average a target will receive a coefficient of 6 * 1.3 = 7.8
The cast time is 3.8s, with an extra animation time estimated at 0.3sTo compare: 100b has a total coefficient of 5.5 and a cast time of a little under 4s.
Now you want to guess how much damage you can deal with meteor shower on a target bigger than the size of a human?
Compare eviscerate to firegrab.
Gameplay with deep mechanics.
An exploit
They decreased the hitbox of trebuchet in Battle of Khylo because of that. Probably only reason why they didn’t nerf it in pve is because they don’t have dungeon team.
Got a conjure in my hand
And I’m pourin heal fields
And I roll the best deeps cuz no warriors are on~
Leecher build.
Dungeon/fractal runners are simply spoiled way too often. Something needs to be done with that.
Please show me a video of you autoattacking Lupicus and ignoring his mechanics.
I can make one once I’m home.
Reflections make him very easy. If I were you, I’d remove it.
Did you read what I stated? I was going off of what the wiki said. Which is wrong. (That old saying about never trust a wiki comes to mind.)
Based on that it means the players have to figure out the proper timing from rather difficult to see green balls flying down at really quick speeds, which also goes against what the wiki says. From the wiki – and green goo will float down from the ceiling. – Unless by floating they mean “like a rock”.
Also, if one person gets it wrong, then the whole party will probably start failing as well. Panic spreads rather quickly in most players.
Don’t use wiki. Use gw2dungeons.net!
I know that some people can complete it using “The dodge roll” method, but seriously. Not everyone in the game can react (latency/low comp specs/lag/low personal reaction time) to the attacks and the wiki doesn’t really give a very accurate time of “When you should dodge”. From the wiki – As soon as he starts shaking, DODGE! THIS IS CRITICAL! – …I tried this and it was horribly inaccurate. even a double dodge roll failed at this moment. I only figured out a decent timing at the end of our attempts but no one else in the party was dodging, which is most likely the most common pug group you will encounter for this. Also, going off the wiki the first “Strategy” was the melee stacking one with reflects and what not. the second one is the ranged dodge roll method. So most typical pugs who actually use the /wiki command will more then likely go with the “Hey lets stack. Bring reflects.” method because its the first in the list.
For dodge roll method you have like 2-3s to react. No excuse.
In the first place they were only there to reduce the frustration of not getting the ring player wanted from fotm.
And now you’re able to get weapons sometime. Maybe it’s time to broaden the usage of relics.
Go do high levels fractals and tell me how ranged vs melee is balanced.
It’s a party challenge I’d say. Point is that one guy gets downed and “tanks” while the rest “heals” him.
It’s called Downed Tank for a reason.
Good call!
Time to invade his personal space?
Numbers aren’t interesting. The games with the best combat mechanics around ( fighters ) have zero progression.
Tell that to anet designers. They think otherwise.
I only hit 1 when I’m not sure if I’m in range and I don’t want to waste another skill, or if I’m on a siege weapon, or on a sword ranger, (because of the sword ranger auto-attack locking problem).
Otherwise 1 is always auto-attack, and I use all my other skills when I can. Why would you neglect crowd control and finishing moves?
If you’re just standing there auto attacking then what you’re doing is too easy. Try something harder, like PvP, or soloing a champ, or three veterans at once, or a swarm of risen by yourself.
You spend most of the time using autoattacks, in fact there are proper dps build using autoattacks in 99%.
Played ~1000 tourneys, everyone I played with left to other more skillful games. And 3 veterans? How about a lupi? Hard enough for you?
Developers stated that Guild Wars 2 now has more people playing GW2 PvP than they ever had playing PvP in the history of GW1, and Guild Wars 2 hasn’t even released in places like China and Korea, where as Guild Wars 1 did. So yeah, PvP is booming comparatively.
I’m sure they are happy of all those hotjoin farmers that are playing, skyhammer most likely. There are 5-10 minutes long queues in primetime for soloq, while teamq almost completely dead fighting against same teams over and over.
Higher stats isn’t meaningful progression. If your power goes up by 10% but so does everyone’s else (including enemies) aren’t you just running to stand in the same spot?
Then getting new backpack every 2 weeks is progression? Besides, ascended weapons increase your effective power by more than 5% and enemies didn’t get stronger.
Besides, I don’t think you deserve an in-depth explanation as to why gear-gating/grinding and other bullkitten that are pillars of almost all other games have no correlation to difficult content. Suffice to say that your beloved Jade Maw is extremely easy once you get enough AR.
In almost every game there is the hardest content is at the end of the road of progression.
P.s. this is as far as I’m willing to go when debating with a guy that insists that this orange should taste more like an apple.
It’s already half an orange, half an apple. I hope you realize that.
is there a source for this
Yes, its name starts with ‘a’.
It’s about progression. Delving deeper and deeper.
i expect it to be available for all gear in the future, and can change skins too.
You’re naive if you think that.
Empirical, not any solid proof, tells me that one eaten grub increases his damage and possibly armour by 2%.
