“it doesn’t make you spend hours preparing to have fun, rather than having fun”
Guild missions say otherwise.
No it will not repeat.

I got this from the reward! So happy!
im with looria give us what u owe us!!!
Arenanet owes you nothing. This is a 60 dollar no sub game and they have your money already. These events are FREE. All hail Arenanet for this marvelous event.
No, backpacks cannot be dyed. Arenanet has stated that Guild Wars 2 currently has no feature that allows the recreation items/gold nor the rollback of accounts. There is no way of giving you 5 gold. You may however, purchase gems from the Black Lion Trading Company with money and convert it into game gold thereafter.
As this question has now been answered, this topic will likely be closed.
Thank you for understanding.
Hey all!
I just went through the Ancient Karka battle and I have to admit that it is truly the first good Boss Encounter in GW2. It had decent loot and it was fun. ArenaNet, if you are reading this you should know that people really like boss battles like Mad King and Karka and that if you increase rewards (and not just add pebbles) people will really enjoy the endgame more. What my suggestion is that you fix the loot on the Dragon Bosses and then people will once again be pleased. The reason is simple- the Dragons are fun overall as a fights (except for some of the lagg and rendering which we are sure that with time you will fix) ,but if you add more loot and rewards there would be more incentive for players to repeat the content.
Best Regards,
Krion from KrionStudio
The first good boss battle was Prototype X in the Asura starting area.
This game is a failure, of course the events are
That’s completely over-the-top. This game is great. The one-time event just had too many issues to ignore.
I believe I am allowed to think like that too, this game has to many issues to simply ignore. Seeing as that its your definition of failure applied to this event, I shall apply the same definition to the rest of the game. A failure.
This game is a failure, of course the events are
I’d vote against this, especially if the content has rare loots only obtained by completing it, I don’t want other players to have it, it’d make mine less rare. Character progression is the name of the game these days yo.
well, its good that we are leaving all the non-hardcore players behind for the sake of character progression! if you don’t like it well, arenanet told us to do so! too bad!
the hilarious thing is after all these ascended items are revealed, theres NOTHING special about them at all. Which puts GW2 on the category of gear grind games at the very lowest quality too. Why NOT play wow, the gear grind actually has QUALITY.
I wouldn’t call 20-30% higher stats nothing special.
As in there are no unique defining effects other than stat boost. stat boosts don’t compel the player to play differently. look at the unikittenfects found in WoW gear and ud understand what im saying

A new tier of gear (1 item) was released that adds a whopping 3 more stats to current best gear. Apparently this a low blow to the community.
Tell the truth.
That is the truth as far as I know
You’re wrong then. It has been calculated that non-max ascended is already 14% better than exotic. thats with FINE infusions. wait til you get masterwork, rare, exotic, ASCENDED infusions.
Hows that selfish. We’re protecting our own interests. I only have 24hrs in a day and so do you, I don’t want to waste my time on YOUR character progression.
Definition of SELFISH
1: concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself : seeking or concentrating on one’s own advantage, pleasure, or well-being without regard for others
(taken from http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/selfish)I’m not sure where the confusion is stemming from.
What others are talking about is a thing called “Paying it forward.” Someone, somewhere, sometime, gave you your first chance at running it. It wouldn’t kill you to do the same for others now and then. Sub-optimal does not equate to useless or wasting time for nothing.
Cool, you go do level 1 over and over again with a different bunch of new players each time then. Won’t stop you.
Here it is Anet. This is the game you strived so hard to make. Here is the crystal clear vision of people working together in harmony. Always on equal footing, never worrying about arbitrary numbers locking people out of content.
Here is what you have built.
I hope the ends really justified the means.
And yet all it would take is for players to say “Ok, I’ll help you out instead of focusing solely on myself. Remember this attitude, and pass it on to others.”
That’s probably too much to ask, though. Players these days are, as a general rule, selfish.
Hows that selfish. We’re protecting our own interests. I only have 24hrs in a day and so do you, I don’t want to waste my time on YOUR character progression.
I don’t want to add people into my group who lie about their difficulty, then go into the arduous process of kicking them out because they aren’t up to my difficulty. I want to be able to only group with the people who are up to where I’m up to.
Oh I love this ascended gear debacle. I’m going to try to be even more elitist with my dungeon runner group. We’re on Level 4 now haha.
It would be great to, maybe, get a comment from a ANet dev to justify or shed some light on their reasoning behind the prices.
Its for a sense of achievement, they said it already I believe. You want to know that the armor you bought costs way more than the armor someone else bought from their Order or something.
It scales to the lowest common rank.
Say party consists of 5 people:
Person 1 has run it 20 times
Person 2 has run it 15 times
Person 3 has run it 2 times
Person 4 has run it 2 times
Person 5 has run it 8 timesIt will be a rank 2 instance, and everyone will get another notch in their belt. Basically having low rank people helps you up your rank faster by doing easier runs. I dont see why at this point anyone would turn away a lower ranked person.
Um, no, it measures progression, its not an exp gauge. You only get to level 5 by completing level 4. No point tagging along with lower difficulty level players.
Its perfect, I’m up to difficulty level 4 now, kicked out most of the lower difficulty people that try to weasel their way into my group when someone needs to leave, no way I’m running a lower level fractal again.
None of the 23 friends I started the game with plays this game anymore. Went out for a beer with them on last night and it was the butt of all jokes too lol.
Well yeah totally, I was spamming Difficulty 3 only in LA, and all these people with difficulty 1 joined, we had to kick them. So annoying.
There’s vertical progression in this game, I love it! That’s all the appeal I need.
No its not, I love the grind for the gold. It gives me a sense of character progression.
I think the best thing for a WvW vet to do when they want a change is to start their own small WvW guild and teach newer players to WvW.
Can we please have the lockers display the items in columns of a multiple of 6 rather than 10? Seeing as pretty much all the armor sets are in groups of 6? It blows my mind that the current locker is arranged like so, makes looking for an armor to preview especially frustrating.
And then there is the thing where the armor is sorted out in such a ridiculous manner, starting with footwear and ending with shoulders.
Necromancers are pretty much the king of PvE tbh. Epidemic is completely devastating in dungeons thanks to 5 characters stacking conditions. Fear also eats through the boss anti CC buff and you can interrupt most boss attacks this way.
Simply these two reasons alone are enough to have a necromancer.
Yeah HotW bosses tend to have too much HP. I’m not sure if this is a ‘difficulty’ issue. Perhaps they should get harder but with less HP.
Here’s a tip from someone who runs HotW everyday. For path 2 boss, depending on your class, your downed skill might be more damaging than your underwater alive skills, so be sure to check that out. The mesmer one is particularly powerful. The boss RARELY attacks a downed player.
For path 3, there are some areas you can actually stand on to be above water, some wood pieces that jut out. You can stand on that to spam dps above water.
To start with, just go melee range during most fights with Alpha and ignore all his AoEs…
Uninformed much?
That only works on the Sub. He eats every group alive on Tele unless they’re bugging him up the steps first. (and that’s another thing… sick and tired of seeing puggers cheating on boss fights b/c they all agree the boss cheated first)
He is not uninformed. Good teams will always melee Alpha on paths 2 and 3. Not only are you in closer proximity to each other such that GS warrior swings can destroy imprisonment crystals, its easier to sneak in a rez too. I melee Alpha on all paths, all the time. While you certainly can’t just ‘ignore’ his AoE, melee is actually really good against Alpha, especially if your attacks hit multiple targets.
Free tip: you can change your utility skills AND major traits any time.
If you’re built for summons, please change your build before fighting Alpha, change it back after the fight if you want – and that’s it. This mechanic has been introduced to use it when it’s needed or helpful, you know – and Alpha fights are one of those examples. You should never, NEVER have to change your traits because they make a fight MORE difficult. That’s absurd logic.
Any MMO that has punished players for using pets and minions in encounters has quickly fixed this, because it’d ridiculous and unfair.
No, you change a trait to be more efficient. It’s an absurd argument you are posing here, if you traited to do lots of burning and you’re up against an enemy immune to burning, are you going to tell Arenanet to change the enemy’s attribute?
I change my traits for each specific battle in CoE, not because the traits I picked will bring me down, but there are better traits for that particular situation.
Its also in line with what Arenanet proposed: they dont force players out of dungeons after a wipe because they want players to switch tactics. SWITCH TACTICS.
Whos to say the clones are ‘punishing’ you. They give you extra DPS, the trade off is an extra nova boom. Risk vs reward. Totally fair.
how can I select server?
I sure as megakitten hope they fix gluttony along with it.
kKagari =)
I think she has a little Agni’s Philosophy vibe about her. Maybe its the shoulders.
what armor set is this
Helm: Feathered
Shoulders: Conjurer
Body: Whispers
Arms: Conjurer (though most other arms will look exactly the same anyways)
Legs: Whispers
Feet: Karma
What they really should do is apply burning to enemies that fear you. 2s please.
Vampiric Rituals is quite weak. I’m somewhat convinced you made this guide out of paper information rather than actual testing because chilling darkness does not work with the blinding plague.
Plague also won’t stop 60 people because of the AoE limit of 5, not to mention the blind is actually applied per second, and theres bound to be people shooting at you from outside of your aoe area.

Dmg on Fear trait is a slightly stronger burn, and scales with condition dmg. My spvp Condition build uses the 50% fear trait and 20 in Spite + 20% condition duration runes for 2 second fears with 750 dmg per second, basically 1500 dmg per 2 second fear. It’s actually pretty good, corrupt stability another 2 sec 1500 dmg fear, fear when downed, 3+ second fear and even more dmg.
Our signets do really suck. Only time I’ve used that might on signet trait was when doing an all out gimmicky epidemic build in WvW. Blood is Power, Signet instant transfer, Epidemic + 13 might.
Poison cloud on fall?… Troll trait is troll trait.
The entire soul reaping tree with a single exception being Last Gasp… everything else in that tree is cabbage. Hell you don’t even get 30% life force from it… what a joke.
All the traits that do “utterly bad effect” after you killed the target. Yeah remove 1 condition, heal for less then regen tick… and so on.
Full of life just makes me want to laugh… yeah great… i got regen… when I don’t need it.Full of Life has to be by far our most useless. 5 seconds of regen with a 30 second cooldown that pops at 90%. You know what that means? It pops most of the time in Death Shroud which you can’t be healed in.
I find this hard to believe. Unless wiki is wrong (of which I don’t believe because I’ve emulated results similar to their formula).
80*1.5 + 15% of condition damage (we’ll use 1400) = 330 damage per second. Which funnily enough is nothing compared to the usefulness of a burn because with 0 condition damage, burn hits for 328.

Actually the falling traits are great for WvW.
Kinda worried about this ‘Theres major content every month’ and ‘all the fixes will come when the major content rolls out’ approach.
I hope they fix gluttony =/
Read subject title. One way. Not the only way. Bugs have nothing to do with friend’s list.
I found CoE path 3 very hard about 4 days ago. 2 runs later, I find it very easy. The same people who started learning the path with me since my first run think this too.
I find the camera worse than it was before with the smoothing update. Jolts a whole bunch when I do jumping puzzles, it is really irritating. I hope the last update isn’t the actual last update on this issue =(
For the most part, I like rifles. The animations are nice, the weapon has some good skills, and is generally fun to use.
What I can’t get past is the auto-attack. The only rifle related trait, Crack Shot, is in the Arms trait line which is for Condition damage and Precision. But the rifle actually lays on conditions very poorly. Bleed is only useful in high stacks, and the auto attack is too slow to be significant. As a weapon for high crit damage the Rifle is actually pretty good.
I can see if someone wants to run a condition damage warrior they might go Sword/whatever and Rifle, with the Rifle being the support weapon, but it kinda limits the viability of the Rifle as a main weapon.
IMO, Rifle1 should stack vulnerability, with Rifle 4 changed to inflict burning. Burning has high base damage and compliments +condition damage nicely. In effect, you’d get a Rifle1 with a useful utility even with its attack speed, and a Rifle4 which is great for complimenting before or after killshots.
The damage in the video actually looks quite reasonable. Lol.
Nerf to raw candy corn nodes? What? What nerfs? Because regardless of getting nerfs or not I was really hoping today’s updates would have more stuff fixed.
Instagib backstabs
Well, you asked what was GW2 “endgame” content. Lande pointed a few options you could do after reaching 80 / finishing main story / getting full exotic gear (and there are more, like crafting, JP, titles / achievements, activities). Just because you dont like the content, doesnt mean its not there.
PvP isn’t end game content. Most PvE’ers don’t want to PvP. Other than that, I don’t think “playing the tp,” “farming,” “achievements” and “activities (?)” are content that people would bother doing. They definitely wouldn’t keep me entertained for over an hour.
As for exploring after 100% world completion, I assume you’re trolling?
Again: “Just because you dont like the content, doesnt mean its not there.”
Achievements and farming dont keep you entertained? Really? Coming from a person with a “Double GWAMM. GW1 Veteran. Been There. Done That.” sign thats pretty shocking.
GW1 had me entertained for over 8000 hours. I stopped actively playing GW2 after 100% world completion (I was bored while doing it, but whatever, I wanted to give the game a chance) Don’t compare GW2 to GW1. They’re not even the slightest bit similar.
GW2’s “achievements” and “farming” don’t come close to how fun and rewarding GW1 was.
Unless you can give me some fun examples of achievements or farming in GW2? I would love to hear it.
Excuse me, but what the hell was rewarding about grinding Lightbringer and/or Sunspear titles? Or wallscraping for cartographers? I certainly don’t share your enthusiasm for that.
I find completing all the jumping puzzles rewarding. Even more so that on my first toon I found all of them without looking at the wiki. I plan to do the same with the diving achievements. I like the achievements in GW2 because most of it seamlessly tie in with whatever you are doing, that you don’t have to go out of your way to do it. Lightbringer farming was perhaps the most dreadful gaming concept to exist, in its early days when everybody farmed the quest using wurms. The constant glow of yellow on the screen from the sand made me want to gouge out my eyes.
Wait a sec. Lets not forget treasure hunter and wisdom titles. The ones where almost no-one actually did legit. It was always 5k 7unids or doing runs for people to open chests. Snore.

holy mother of all kittens. So I can actually do the same path twice in one day without getting less than 60 tokens????
Friends list. Use it. Add people that are enthusiastic about the dungeons you want to do and not only will it be easier to find a group, you can start to learn to how to cooperate with each other and work faster in completing the dungeon.
Its all good fun
Life Blast is a waste of time in sPvP IMO. You want to save your LF for hairier moments and react to bursts rather than sit back and gather some might. Especially since BiP gives you 10 stacks of might easily and goes well with a condi build.
TBH, the +50% damage while downed trait is not bad.
it takes you more than 2:45 to get out of combat and enter heart of the mists?
