Either mobo would work, just depends if you want the extra features asus board offers.

i5 vs i7, you won’t see a difference in GW2. Also, go for a “K” version of the core i5/i7, has unlocked multiplier for overclocking.

if you really want to go cheap, go browse craigslist for used computer, but YMMV.

Since you’re using a i7 with, are your cores parking?

If you can’t upgrade to 64bit, try the /3gb switch work around (see Part 5.2)

That sure is a dusty case on the inside, or maybe i’m just a neat freak and airblast at any sign of dust.

Lion Arch — 40-60FPS

• check PCI-E bus speeds
• check CPU temp, maybe you are being throttled. 4.7 is a high OC.

Good build, it will handle everything GW2 throws at it. Most important component is the CPU which you will likely want to overclock if you want to get into heavy WvWvW battles.

GW2 isn’t TERA, they use different engines and every game is different.

Your system does not meet the minimum requirements for GW2. (See Part 2.1) Which can also lead to this issue of being stuck on the 0% screen (See Part 3.5)

No option to turn down particle or physics fx , but you can turn down Animation or Environment settings. Turning down shadows and reflection would help too.

My document link when you open through the start menu or else where is just a pointer to the physical location which previously you had stored on a 2nd HD. But that HD has died so now the link is broken.

Should still have a My document folder in C:\User\<username> or just right click my documents from the library

Stress test your system by running multiple tools like Prime95, Furmark, OCCT etc at the same time.

Physical system shutdown is usually due to hardware issues like temp/power.

What does it say in “show detail” or ArenaNet.log file?

You have alot of disk read fails. Try -repair command and running chkdsk.

It is not. Your CPU just barely meet min requirement, but your graphics card is way below min requirements. See Part 2.1 of this thread

Try “shadows” to low & “reflections” to terrain. These settings affect the CPU a lot and attribute to bottlenecking.

Okay so those 2 things are a CPU and GPU could i simply buy a better cpu and gpu and put them in my current computer instead of getting a new one or is it cheaper to get a entirely new computer, also thanks a ton for the response.

Your computer model is a budget desktop with everything mostly integrated. You don’t have option to swap CPU or GPU. Buying a new computer is your best option.

Could be damaged file or driver issues, but since you didn’t provide any game advisor logs or spec can’t say much but update (See Part 1.1 – 1.2 for more)

Good news: you can replicated the restart problem.

Bad news: likely something wrong with the GPU or PSU.

Try underclocking the GPU and see if you can keep it stable. Use a spare PSU if you have one.

CPU-z/Prime95 doesn’t test or stress your GPU. The GPU could actually be dying like this. Try testing your GPU (see Part 5.1)
