Some users had this issue with 310.70 drivers, and downgrading to 306.97 fixed it. However, 310.90 just came out, give that a shot.

I would go for a Z77 motherboard instead of B75 since you’re going for a 3570k that is designed for overclockers.

Use google and do some research. Those tools are freeware and widely used by many people.

Might be a sticker under the laptop with the OS KEY, if not you can try contacting Lenovo. Should try monitoring the temps. (see Part 5.1)

• Monitor the CPU and look at the graph when you notice the dip. HwINFO can monitor all the stuff in afterburner including cpu and other stuff and plot them on a graph.
• Try re-installing windows to rule out any software glitches.

Every patch there are post of this type, many things can go wrong during patching or system has changed else where and even possible memory leak as you suspect. However, I think the vast majority of people are running the game fine or better now since the winter snow effects are gone. Every system is built differently, you didn’t list any spec or game advisor logs so you will just have to troubleshoot it slowly to find out why.

They are allowed, even Anet Moderators on the forum suggested trying them.

WvW is the most demanding part of GW2 on computer resources; especially on the CPU.

Remove the antivirus and see if FPS improves. I don’t use Webroot’s AV or know anyone that does.

I admire your efforts on people’s posts Kirito. I reformatted and reinstalled windows in the hope of fixing my issues and it got me nowhere. I hope it works better for Popcorn though!

Start stress testing and narrowing down possible hardware issues by swapping in and out parts. You can start with ram, test it and try removing one stick at a time etc. Swap in spare GPU and PSU next.

If you bought this from a pawn shop I would highly recommend wiping it and installing a OS yourself. (its like buying used underwear and not washing it =) )

Not sure how you are measuring the temps, but shutdowns often point to either heat or power issues. (see Part 5.1 for tools)

Instead of trying to disable the cutscene which I don’t think an option exist, should probably look at why its crashing. What does it say in the crash log?

You can try tips in Part 1.1 and 5.1 and see if it works.

Freezes like those tend to be related to driver issues, or hardware stability issues. IMO, its faster just to re-install windows to rule out any software issues. If problem remains its time to start looking at hardware problems. Best done by swapping out spare parts.

What is limiting your FPS is your CPU. (See Part 4.2)

c0000094 error, i’ve only seen people reporting this issue on the Mac Client.

You can try some basic troubleshooting and maybe it will be fixed. (see Part 1.1 & 5.1)

Probably leftover drivers or something causing conflicts with windows when you installed the new SSD. Well at least it was fixed with a fresh installation.

You can try underclocking the GPU

I have the same graphic card and having a frame issue aswell. It turned out my gpu keeps going to about 100 degrees c every time i play GuildWars 2. It will be fine the first hour or 30 min(running at 30-60 fps) then it starts to overheat(runs at 5-10 fps). I can run team fortress 2 , left 4 dead 2 and other games fine. I don’t know what the problem is.

TF2 and L4D is less taxing of the GPU than GW2 hence it runs cooler. For example, I play TF2 and my GPU always at 10-20% Utilization. In GW2 it uses 60-90% and runs hotter.

• Get better system ventilation
• Clean dust
• Re-apply thermal compound or install better heatsink/fan
• Underclock or frame limit the GPU.

How much free available physical ram do you have? Your system might be fine until the game starts using paged ram off your Hard drive.

i7-3610QM, should have HD4000 built into the CPU itself, unless you disabled it in BIOS.

You didn’t give any FPS metrics or #’s and where, but depending on certain places you CPU can be bottlenecked. (see Part 4.1)

try deleting your local.dat and gw2 temp files.
Could also try VPN services like WTFast or Battleping 20min trial to see if it helps.

Your only option left is to try a clean windows installation. Then if the problem is still there then try swapping to different PSU and/or trying different GPU.

My biggest fear is that it isn’t the game itself at all but some other process in the background that is affecting performance. I hate the idea of going through that slow process of tryign to find the culprit, but a recent reinstall should mean that there is very little possibility of that.

Clean windows installation is best for ruling out 3rd party application as the culprit. Its a known good state so if you still get freezes then the issue is else where.

However, aside from doing clean installation, you can try cleanboot mode. (See Part 1.1) not as good as a fresh installation, but you can try that first.

That would be 2GB of free available ram, not total installed.

The OS and whatever applications installed in the background likely would already used up at least half of that 2GB you have installed.

Since it is using a lot of page file off the HD it could have created a bad sector, or was using a portion that was bad hence the error.

Well if turning down the graphical settings without touching the resolution, it sounds like a CPU bottleneck. Running at 2.9Ghz, which is still a little slow, I can see it freezing for a second because of this.

You should try lowering the resolution just temporarily and see if the problem persists.
