There are actually people that don’t pvp. And some pvpers actually don’t like that style of play.
Quite irrelevant.
New stuff is new stuff no matter if you are interested in it or not.
So it isn’t even information people are complaining about. It is information they are personally interested in.
This is wanted/interesting/useful information. There are plenty of people that are much more interested in the lore and new races we meet than they are of specializations and guild halls.
^ Just because YOU don’t like certain information doesn’t mean it is not new or interesting information.
There are plenty of people that are much more interested in Lore bits than about Guild Halls or Specializations. And all in all we have gotten more information about features than about lore since the announcement.
New blog up with some juicy stuff about the two new Hylek tribes hanging around in the jungle.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/hylek-in-the-heart-of-thorns/
These should be the splits:
Unranked (Conquest+deathmatch+stronghold)
Ranked Conquest
Ranked Stronghold
This is a great solution and should be implemented with HoT.
1 map for a whole expansion is a big joke.
HoT is going to be a scam for pvp players
You clearly don’t know what a scam is.
You also seem to disregard the fact that you don’t even need to buy the expansion in order to play on the map.
Only one. Which makes sense. They are releasing it to see if people like the mode. If they do, they can develop more maps, if they don’t, they won’t have wasted months upon months creating 4 maps that are basically abandoned after a month.

I didn’t say more important, I said filler vs. features. When they announced HoT they focused on the features. On the HoT website they focus on the features. I didn’t decide what the primary focus of HoT would be, Anet did in their presentation and official website. Therefore topics that are outside of the primary selling points they’ve established are, by definition, filler.
How is exploring the jungle not a primary selling point?
I seem to have heard that being mentioned rather many times during the reveal and also on the main page.
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: lordkrall.7241
But who are you to decide what is filler? For some people the lore is the MAIN thing, while information about the Revenant and specializations or guild halls are just filler. So why is the stuff you interested in more important?
Might as well give up, if there is one thing we know is that Anet never change their mind even if they make the wrong decision. Look at the new trait system, or the WvW PPT mechanics. The only good change they’ve done for WvW this year (PPK) was removed after a few weeks; they are way too hesitant about changing things.
You mean the new trait-system that they have outright confirmed will be reverted/changed with HoT?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

But there are people that are interested in lore information as well. Why are their information less important than yours?
All in all we have gotten more information about features and such than on lore. And believe it or not, some people actually play the game (and thus buy the expansion) for story, so this is information that is rather interesting for them.

There were plenty of new info in this article and quite likely the blog post coming tomorrow will also contain some new information.
So what are we complaining about again?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: lordkrall.7241
It is the first time it is available to the whole playerbase, and while we had most of the information about it already it is a rather large difference to read about something and actually experiencing it yourself.

Are we ignoring the fact that we have been able to play Stronghold today?

^You are aware that quite a few of us are rather interested in stuff like this, right?
It is not like they published this instead of something else that was ready for publishing.
No, playable is in no way or form a matter of preference. You might choose not to play it at lower FPS but that doesn’t mean it is unplayable.
The very definition of unplayable requires it to not be POSSIBLE to play. You CHOOSING to not play is not the same as it not being possible.
There have never ever been any claim that you would get any free server transfer at any time.
You can transfer for free if you delete all your characters though.
I recommend against guying this pack. There are progress-stopping bugs still in the content that make it either impossible to complete (challenge mote issue) or extremely hard to complete unless you know the workarounds (last boss last chapter).
I suppose reading the thread before posting is too much to ask?
There is a red post that quite clearly states that the pack is currently removed from the store due to a technical issues that needs fixing.
It is also worth mentioning that none of these bugs effects the story itself but rather just the achievements. So unless you only buy it for the achievements (and thus the armor set) there isn’t really any reason to not buy it.
(edited by lordkrall.7241)
Why the rush?
Would you rather they rushed all the info now and then we heard nothing at all for possibly months?
Stuff doesn’t have to be early in development to not be set in stone.
And how much money did your company rake in during the short time it was available for sale even though KNOWN issues had been clearly brought up on the forum in the past? It’s not like these bugs are new, Gaile.
Probably less money than they do from people buying them individually for a higher price?
Just do not expect to get the full Biolumiscent armor. There is currently a bug that prevents you from getting an achievement required for the boots. If you have no interest in this “Meta” reward, by all means get it, otherwise, well.. don’t expect it.
There was 2 threads on it in Guildwars 2 Discussion that the mods deleted. So that does mean they know about it, know that players are not happy with it, but choose to hide this fact.
I suppose we are ignoring the fact that they have removed the package from the store due to a bug (which is most likely the bug talked about there) until they have fixed it?
Yes, how dare there be bugs in a beta test?
For those who may be interested, the PM said they were “moved”, not deleted. So, yea, super shady business going on.
It probably said moved to the trashcan which basically means deleted.
how about changing condition damage so that armor and protection can mitigate that…conditions is 90% of the game but there is no way to stop it. same thing.
Except for the fact that there are way more condition cleansing than boon-clearing in the game.
So don’t go unranked for these 24 hours?
It usually takes a couple of hours between a patch and the addition of new items to the gem store.
Yeah, whatever conversations are happening behind the scenes, the public face of this is just embarrassing. How can they possibly think this is a good approach?
I would say the constant whine after every single patch is even more embarrassing actually.
omg, they do? amazing, cause the rest of europe doesn’t have native rap, hiphophap or native language shows. by god germans are soooo advanced compared to the rest of us.
That is not actually what he said though.
He said DUBBED shows. Ergo instead of the original English speech, they have German dubbed over, thus they don’t get the easy access to English as many other countries.
In about 4 hours 57 minutes.
too powerful? has anyone ever complained about stability being too good?
Yes?
The fact that it could basically make a CC-based build completely useless without any downside or planning required (just pop all the stability before you engage) shows how powerful it was for one.
I would say it was simply because it was way too powerful before.
I would love to have a pure PvP map. No beasts, no lords, no gimmicks just an interesting map layout and Player versus Player.
Like Courtyard?
“as for the communication policy of anet? its a sad statemant that this thread exists with over 2000 replies without a single comment from one of the mods”
And yet there are multiple red posts in this thread.
Did you not get ANY sort of response?
In that case I would suggest checking this thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/Delayed-or-No-Ticket-Reply-Read-This/first#post4533589
I’m italian and we Italians have asked localization (at least text)
Insert subtitles not is very expensive and I am sure, if a.net translate the game with another language many other players buy the game.
But it is expensive, since they need to hire people for all the translations, especially considering how often they release stuff during LS seasons. Sure, some people might by the game with the new translation, but it is extremely unlikely that enough people will buy it in order to justify the (ongoing) costs.
Actually it is.
The rules are basically: One user per account.
They usually overlook it when it come family and such however (overlooking as in not closing the account) but they probably don’t want to open that can of worms with starting to help people that lost accounts due to sharing it with others.
1 new spvp mode in 3 yrs…….. And ur all happy as larry
Are we ignoring Courtyard?
The support rep have a point though.
You shared accounts, something that is not allowed.
Its hidden in plain site.. Go to the page
https://heartofthorns.guildwars2.com/en/?_ga=1.183425510.155037214.1428874933very bottom at the screenshots.. first two look like playable tengu..
They are NPCs from the Stronghold map.
Was it really worth bumping a two month old thread for that?
Because now may just be early enough in the dev cycle to make such suggestions…
I don’t mind airplanes.. and bobble heads were fun, but let’s cause some real chaos.
How about April 1st, 2016, you remove all cooldowns from skills and utilities (including elites).
So literally make the game completely unplayable for 24 hours?

It is. But I’d say people are starting to get desperate a bit. Meaningful blogposts stopped in February. People want to hear something, anything at this point.
April 4:
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/gameplay-features-making-the-most-of-maguuma/
March 26:
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/a-legendary-journey/
March 17:
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/essential-elements-of-the-new-borderlands/
Those three were all later than February (in fact, all of them were within a month from now).
There were also a bunch of other posts, but since people don’t seem to count those I didn’t add them to the list. The three posts here however have all included plenty of new and meaningful information.
And at the same time others don’t care at all about challenging group content or guild halls.
So why should your opinion weight higher than others?

^ And what would happen if they give us all information now, and then the expansion itself will not be ready for release before November?
It is better to spread out the information than to drop it all and then be completely quiet for months.
I wouldn’t care as much if it was a dungeon armor set skin, or crafted set or anything besides a gem store set tbh.
So you would rather they got a set people have to work for in-game for free, then an item that people have to buy with gems, which basically requires no work?
This is how everything works.
Some time after release games releases a GotY edition or something like that, which include bonus stuff that was not with the original game release.
Oh, I wonder why…
Of course it could be done.
It could also be written that aliens came from outer space and nuked all of Tyria and killed all life on the planet.
Not necessarily. It just means they were going to look into it.
Not being seen before isn’t even remotely close to completely rewriting a race story.
