Krall Peterson – Warrior
Piken Square
His mother is a legend. His father is basically an unknown nobody (when comparing to other Norn), thus it is rather logical that he would use the name of his legendary mother rather than his father.
Norn != Real world people. Thus applying real world naming convention to prove that it is wrong makes no sense whatsoever.

then you may want to check your sources of information or your memory.
To be fair the AoE that was talked about in this very thread (damaging one) HAVE always been limited. It was the support/healing ones that where unlimited but fixed with that patch.
To be fair we have known this for rather many months now. It was confirmed by Colin via Gaile in the SAB thread.
You can’t hide it. Nor should you really be able to, seeing as that would basically remove a massive selling point to back items.
There will be no Living Story episodes released before the expansion.
We do not know then the expansion is released.
We do know that there will be a patch next Tuesday though, but as far as we know it will only add features (new camera is the only confirmed one).

I wanted to chime in on this. At launch, aoe skills were unlimited in the number of targets. I remember this quite pointedly because I ran a healing banners warrior for a while and remembered seeing way more than 5 ticks of regen during world boss fights. When the change to limit that and other aoe skills to a maximum of five targets, I rethought what sort of builds I was running. There was a patch referring to this change but I forget when it was.
Edit: Check out the notes here from a dev live stream. There is a section on AOE that refers to this change. http://dulfy.net/2013/01/17/gw2-dev-livestream-jan-17-transcript/
Actually the only thing that transcript says is that those are the limits. Not that they will be the new limits.
Based on the wiki (and the history of the AoE-page) it has been stated to be limited to 5 people each since release
.
You know, if it weren’t for the fact this was on online forum I’d have to ask if you’ve ever heard of computers? Sales records are digital. They’re stored in a database. Maybe you’ve no idea how easy it is to perform alterations en masse in a database?
If an ANet exec said “refund the gem cost of all living story purchases to everyone who buys HoT”, that could be done in a matter of minutes. Literally. More time would almost certainly be allowed for testing and checking (just good practice), but actually writing and executing the script to do it would take minutes.
Nor would there – short of major flaws in their systems – be any risk of missing anyone.
Actually, being a system developer I have a rather good understanding on how computer (and databases) works. And thus I am also aware that it is very possible that things don’t work out as excepted.
No system is flawless, and almost every single time there have been things based on a database “which should be easy” there have been issues.
What if there was a slight hiccup in the database when someone bought the episodes, and thus it didn’t register correctly? They would be missed out.
What if the database does not differ between people that have bought the episodes and those that unlocked them for free?
There are plenty of things that could go wrong. Which everyone that have some knowledge of computers should be fully aware of.

yes, indeed, like AOE worked at launch – before some swarm mind WvWs bashed in their collective heads trying to overrun some choke points guarded by elementalists. And whined a lot. And it is a shame.
I am quite certain that AoE have never been unlimited. And it has more to do with gameplay stability rather than balance.
They wouldn’t have to be the exact same skins, in fact, it would be much better if they weren’t, and Greatswords are held in a completely different way from staves, so in battle, it would be rather obvious what weapon they’re holding. I fail to see why that is so weird and confusing. Longbows and Shortbows are more confusing than that.
Oh, while I understand that they would not look the same it would still be the same kind of weapon (while a Shortbow and a Longbow is rather different), it would however still be rather hard especially in WvW to tell if the enemy was using a Staff or a Greatsword before he attacked. Especially when it comes to classes that can use both.
Lucky GW2 keeps receipts of purchase for each individual person’s account
Of course. That doesn’t make it less of a time-consuming and annoying thing though. And there are always a risk that someone is missed.
(edited by lordkrall.7241)
Which would be a rather time-consuming and annoying thing for all parts involved. And then they miss someone or something and all kitten breaks loose.
Scythe GS skins. This works because the only animation I can think of that looks bad with this is Mesmer GS 3. If you’re unsure about turning a two handed sword into a scythe, look no further than the Monster Hunter longswords that have scythe skins.
Would be rather weird and confusing the have both a Staff and a GS skin that is a Scythe thought.
Also your character’s personal story timeline is made so it takes place whenever you do it and it isn’t out of order with anything else.
If you redo personal story right now you’ll see that Lion’s Arch is destroyed and vines have destroyed Fort Trinity or whatever that one place is called. Living Story is a progression but Personal Story could take place any time.
That is not actually true.
The Personal Story takes place in the year 1325 AE while the current time in-game is 1328 AE.
The reason why we see a destroyed LA and such has more to do with technology rather than lore or timeline. They simply don’t have the technology to have multiple different versions of the same map up at the same time. Thus the Personal Story quest uses the existing maps.
Very unlikely, unless we get blogs this week about them all. Don’t think they would have stuffs in the demo without first having done a deep dive on them.
I didn’t vote for Kiel!
- I don’t get why ANet would make such a move that would have them exclude and waste the potential of a fractal of pure Tormentous awesomeness.
Because people demanded the ability to actually effect the storyline? :P
OK, two things I need you people to understand:
- I’d love to buy gems and armor sets in the Gem Store to support ANet. I’m not against that. Actually, I’m for it. My Guardian is using the Phalanx armor, which I find very nicely designed. No problem there.
- I always hoped this armor set would make it into GW2. All of the Gods armor set as seen in this picture http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/File:Gods_of_Tyria_Avatars.png.
- However, I’ve supported ANet in the hopes that when armor sets such as these, with lore and story behind it, would make it into GW2, there would be some awesome content (like the Fissure of Woe) that you’d have to overcome in order to receive it.I expected the Fissure of Woe in GW2 and I expected the return of Dhuum.
- This move, however, makes me fear that whenever some absolutely amazing items that could have tied lore and expanded the GW universe shows up in the game, it will end up in the Gem Store. If ANet haven’t got the money to make the Fissure of Woe or the Underworld, to basically expand their universe and make awesome and entertaining, then why am I playing the game? (I am aware the expansion is coming, and you better believe I’m looking forward to it)
- Still, I hope you guys understand my concerns here. I feel it’s wasting potential.
So… what should they put in the gem store in order to get the same amount of income as this god outfit?
Also find the whole: “If they don’t have the money, why should I play?” when we have gotten FREE content for years. It is a matter of priorities rather than money I would say.
And just see what have happened every time they have added something that refers to or otherwise hints at GW1 lore. People have been raging like mad about retcons and the writers sucking because they have no clue about the lore and so on.
Fractals?
I believe we lost our chance at a Fractal involving Abaddon when we voted for Kiel.
But how long should it save the spot?
Not everyone are able to get right back in. Some might take 5 minutes, should it stay reserved for that long then?
From what I can tell by reading the other threads, outfits that absolutely no one would want as an armor.
That doesn’t really say anything though. And I find it extremely unlikely that they would ever find such a thing (and that it would sell as well as these god outfits.
Templates.
I can already hear all the rage about putting such a “required and basic feature” behind a paywall
Or how about Margonite themed sets and actually make that Abaddon bossfight in the Plane of Torment? And while we’re at it, why not meet the Lich and Shiro Tagachi in the Plane of Torment as well?
Won’t really work because Abaddon and, I assume, Lich and Shiro are all expressingly stated to be dead and gone forever?
I would also ask what they should put in the gem store instead of this outfit, in order to make up for lost revenue.
Welcome to gaming companies of this generation, where they would rush out features before it is even polished and tested.
I used to think Blizzard was a bad company but now i think they are a GOD.
Yeah… except for the fact that clearly the issue isn’t (fully) game-side, seeing as if it were EVERYONE would be effected.
I am doing both Tequatl and Wurm multiple times per week and I have yet to have a single crash on any of them.
Just farm gold and buy gems to unlock the chapters you want and if you want to play the story ask a friend to create an instance for you so you can do it. I for one don’t want S2 to be bundled with a deluxe or collectors edition of the game that would be stupid it wouldn’t be worth the extra cash I would spend for the deluxe or collectors.
That would be assuming that S2 was the ONLY bonus you got from Deluxe/Collectors, which is very unlikely.
Maybe during the spring season they will let people transfer to any server that’s T4 or lower for free…..
I hope not.
We already have queues on most maps several days a week.
Plus they’d consider the PR value of such generosity.
And they would also create quite a bit of rage from people that have paid in order to unlock the chapters. Which I am rather sure they are also taking into consideration.
I could see them giving it for free with a potential Digital Deluxe edition, but it is very unlikely that we would get it for free with a standard edition.
These forums are specifically for Guild Wars 2 issues. The only thing you can do is wait for a reply to the support ticket you have created.
The reason as to why it might have appeared to “stop” when it was understood that it was a GW1 issue might simply be due to the staff in question forwarded the issue to the GW1 support staff, which seems to be very small and thus issues can take quite some time to get solved.
You don’t need an overhaul to add accessibility. You just have to toggle options. Like how you can toggle various effects as well as various indicators in the inventory window.
To be fair just adding a toggle options won’t really do anything without an overhaul. The toggles are of course quite easy, but they would still need to add all those things that could be toggled on and such.
So while it is far from as easy as you make it sounds.
They revamped it long ago when they release chinese version of the game.
any new account needs to level up to 22
While they did revamp parts of the game for Chinese release (which we got quite a bit later) it is still fully possible to get into sPvP at lvl 2. No need to wait for lvl 22.
You simply go to your race capital. Take a asura gate to Lions Arch and from there takes an asura gate to Heart of the Mists or any of the WvW maps.
One could of course question if the devs would be more interested in using the forums if people simply make fun of them.
Found a new guy in Queensdale that was trying to get to pvp, but the buttons don’t seem to work (WvW, PvP Panel, etc), even after binding them…
He/she/it needs to go to Lion’s Arch and access it from the gates there.
LOOOOL at the people saying that its not meta but content still can be done
of course you can do most of the content with any build but but there is a difference when 1 build is 100%-200% more effective then another and THATS HUGE.
That doesn’t make a build unusable though. Which is what the whole discussion is about. You might not want to use it, but it is still very much usable.
Usable != Most efficient.
I can almost guarantee you that every single build in the game can complete the vast majority of the content.
Naming and shaming is not allowed, better remove the screenshot.
But yeah, based on that screen-shot it would seem weird that it would be deliberate. Why would someone with such an advanced account risk getting banned for griefing?
(edited by lordkrall.7241)
https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new
There you go.
So report him for griefing. If he is griefing he will get punished.
Maybe he doesn’t have chat on? It is not uncommon for people to turn off chat in order to avoid drama and such. Or maybe he doesn’t speak English and thus doesn’t understand what you are trying to say. There are many possibilities outside of the: “he is ignoring me just to be a kitten”.
You can’t know that he doesn’t simply have the same way of thinking as you. If you think about a certain thing, it is almost 100% guaranteed that there are others that have thought the exact same thing.
Yes, it is annoying, but I wouldn’t be so swift to point fingers, since there is no way you can know that he actually does it deliberately.
Maybe he doesn’t have much time to play, so he can’t wait for you to come in and tag the mobs. Maybe he simply wants to kill the mobs on his own and so on.
And no, griefing requires doing it on purpose, which you have no proof that he is doing.
Yeah, don’t use it.
So you basically want to limit their ability to play the game because they limit your ability to play the game?
What makes you so sure that it is deliberate? Maybe he just have the same line of thinking as you? Maybe he just wants to kill mobs for materials. It is rather unlikely that they knowingly does this after all.
The Mists works in mysterious ways.
At this point, since it’s past the time they would have reasonably put it in as an ingame achievement reward, if they do something like this it will probably be an RNG black lion chest node. The ones they sell in the gem store give out random low tier mats, not a one specific item.
Actually both the mining and the logging nodes gives a very exact result.
Which doesn’t actually prove anything at all. It might imply stuff, but there have been no word about it, and it could easily be explained by WvW simply not being available in that client or something like that.
We have already answered this very issue in the thread you created earlier (which is about two steps down from this one.
Reset will be in about 55 minutes.
Seems like they might be removing WvW from world completion in HoT.
People have been claiming this quite much recently. Where is the quote that actually even mentions the possibility?
All I can remember seeing was a screen shot from the beta-client which had less objectives, but that doesn’t have to mean that WvW gets removed. It could simply mean that WvW was not active in that version.
Make sure that the blue hyperlink under Specific issue is on something other than No Selection. That is usually the part people miss since it is quite hard to see.
It’s not even 8 AM in Washington yet. Be patient.
To be fair the post he quoted was from yesterday (around this time).
I would assume he meant this blog post:
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/preview-of-in-game-camera-changes-on-this-fridays-ready-up/
He will have to create a support ticket.
I don’t like that I can’t get back to the window where it shows me the “All Available Dailies” window with everything neatly categorized into 3 columns.
It’s less clear which dailies are for what category because they aren’t even grouped together by type in the daily list.
To be fair they have unique symbols, so it is rather easy to see which belongs to which category.
And in PvE, one only has to worry about naturally aggro’ing mobs that let you go if you run out of their spawn area. Not so when the enemies are other players.
What about the skill points and such that are guarded by rather strong mobs that can be hard to solo? Orr have a couple of those. In many cases people need help in order to get that done. And you either have to kill them or have someone distract them while you get the SP.
And what about Vistas, some which requires quite a bit of jumping and walking around.
