The change never actually happened. It was in the patch notes but didn’t make it to the live build and was thus removed from said notes.
It was never actually in game though.

Really like the slight technically angle we get during the last parts of the blog. Always nice to read some behind the scenes thingies.

Keep in mind that those DC problems are mainly for Europeans using a CERTAIN supplier. Which would point more towards the issue lying with said supplier rather then the servers themselves.

I have personally played more or less daily since release (from Sweden) and I have never had issues with DCs other when my internet were going down and the servers themselves more or less crashed.

If the issues were indeed with the servers much more people would be effected, in fact basically everyone would have the issues, which is very clearly not the case.

Going by that logic they should never ever release anything at all. Because with every single release people complain about what was added.

The game is not built around having specifically targeted healing skills. We do not have healers as such and thus having ally targeting is rather pointless.

G2A have been having trouble for some time now with selling stolen keys and as such the accounts using those keys gets suspended.

You do not need the luminescent set. It is one of those things that are there to show that people have actually completed certain things.

A hint if you have trouble with the achievements is to do them in a group though. That should make it quite a bit easier.

It is quite possible. We do know that Stability changes are “closer than we think” at the very least. It is also possible that the Personal Story fix will be ready and pushed to live by then.

Don’t think we will see a build saver or such though, at least not unless we hear anything about it soon.

Because there are unique rewards given by the Personal story, and being able to do all different parts of the branches goes completely against having a branching story?

Is the issues definitely on the server side? If it is not, there is literally nothing they can do.

I wonder if this means we are getting a feature patch on March 10. They did talk about the Stability change coming sooner than we think after all, so it is quite possible that we will see that and these new changes to the camera in that patch.

Maybe we might even see the Personal Story fix (if that is ready).

The ESO B2P announcement had a grand total of nothing at all to do with the HoT announcement. Seeing as they already had the announcement planned for that specific events over a WEEK before the ESO announcement came.

I am very far from ultra conservative. Quite the opposite in-fact (being a feminist and being conservative doesn’t really work all that well together). Feels like you do have rather large issues with people not wanting games adding more objectifying things though.

I am not advocating to remove customization. I am advocating for changing customization to something, in my eyes, better. There are plenty of different armors that can be created without them showing off 75% of the characters body.

Feminism is all about creating equality between the genders, ergo gender equality.

It’s a FANTASY game. Wearing a leaf provides just the same level of protection as full plate armor because it DOES NOT HAVE TO BE REALISTIC. By your logic, all Sylvari should be instantly killed by any form of fire damage because they are plants. I’m also not saying that it is okay to treat women as objects, but this is a fantasy game set in a fictional world occupied by fictional people. They are not real people, and if I want my character’s skin showing then kitten it I will enjoy pretty pixels the game allows. Call me a pervert if you want, I don’t care, but I like the female figure’s aesthetics. It’s just the way I was born. It’s all part of the entertainment factor, and it’s not like our characters partake in sexually suggestive poses or actions.

At least, the game’s armor designs are varied enough that not all the armors are skimpy. There are plenty of ultra-conservative armor skins in the game. As the OP suggested, the game could use more, if anything.

Ah, the good old: “The only reason why people would be against skimpy armor is because it is cool to want to stop objectification of women.” I have been a feminist for over 15 years. It is not really something that magically turned up when it started being “cool”.

Why do there NEED to be skimpy armors? And why is it more okay to want to add more than to want to remove those that are already there? Yes it is fictional. But that doesn’t really change the fact that the norm in the entertainment world seems to be skimpy clothes on females, even though most females doesn’t dress at all like that in the real world. Not the mention in a world where there are murderous creatures and bandits everywhere.

Yes, GW2 is much better than most (most likely due to them having rather many feminists on their teams), so why make it worse? Adding skimpy armors for male is just as bad as adding skimpy armors for females. The difference is that in the case of females it is much more common.

They have invited quite a bit of press people both in the US and EU to give some new details and allow playing of HoT.

I believe I heard something about an embargo on information until Tuesday, but it does seem like we will get something rather big by then.

I’m really struggling to think of one which applies to PvE which doesn’t also apply to WvW. Waypoint costs? Anything related to TP/MF/Gear applies just as much to WvW. There’s that Crown Pavilion thing, but that’s pretty specific.

So why does WvW need “extra” ones?

Aye, waypoints. Which, while they are not much per use it does end up being a rather large amount of gold completely removed from the game over the course of a day. There are no WP-costs in WvW.

There is also these PvE-specific events. The most recent had a rather large gold-sink (around 12s per use).

You seem to imply that the HoT announcement was due to ESOs B2P announcement. Which makes no sense whatsoever, seeing as the HoT announcement was quite clearly planned over a week before the ESO announcement, even if it didn’t happen until a few days after.

One can speculate all one wants, but until there is an official announcement, there is no official information. Sure people could have assumed it would have happened (people have speculated on it for months after all) but speculations != facts.

ArenaNet basically announced their announcement on 13 January, which means that the announcement itself was planned over a week before the ESO announcement came.

No one have asked it because we already have the answer: Yes it will have one.

None of the specializations have been really shown yet (except for the name and weapon of the Druid specialization for Ranger).

I too think that this should be somehow, somewhen changed. It may be a logical thing when part 8 was out, but it’s already gone now for some weeks or months and at this point it would make more sense to start with part 1 after finishing the PS.

Oh I agree, it should be back. But I just question the logic behind it “must come back” based on some of the player-base wanting it while others definitely don’t want it back.

One could of course also point out that even if you chose to ignore the content there will be a massive influx of people running around with, in the dislikers eyes, silly and immersion breaking weapons everywhere.

Didn’t read all 37 pages so maybe somebody already mentioned this but. All I have wanted for the longest time in gw2 is Katana or samurai sword/great sword. Perferable a kinda long greatsword like sephiroth wields in final fantasy 7. Most all the swords/great swords in gw2 are all huge bulky things that dont appeal to me.

I could see them adding it in with a potential Digital Deluxe edition of the expansion, but for the standard one it is quite unlikely, simply due to the fact that people would find it rather unfair that some that missed it had to pay while others would get it for free by simply buying the expansion.
