lets say your trinket is level 75 and your exquisite ruby jewel is level 80. You cant upgrade a level 75 item with a level 80 item.

However if the trinket is level 80, and the jewel level 75 its not a problem.

Your own level has nothing to with it.

The PoI is in an instance so often (always?) it registers as explored, but the game looses track. Doing that one last (or again) makes sure the game registers it to be explored and gives you the reward.

I kinda understand why they are doing this. The lfg-tool has a convinient system where parties are automaticly merged. This feature can be used for bad things like spam. I also see somepossible griefing where one wants to take out a rivalling party by getting it full and leaving again, pushing your own advert (that a friend started) higher on the list.

I rather have a pm function that you can pm the person who put the advert up, before joining, removing the need to join to find out if it is the right party for you to join. This also allows for better feedback on a persons advert. (e.g. if he wants to do AC storymode, only adverts with the text lfg dungeon, and has 8 people pm-ing if he is doing story or xp, he is more likely to advert the next time ‘lfg dungeon story’)

No, you need to do the daily achievement for Boss Week tomorrow (after next reset) to get the 9th one.

Yip. The bank is a storage place to store anything. All things you put into your bank account can also be withdrawn by others characters you have.

You find bank npc’s in all mayor towns and also in some explorable area’s. Besides that, any crafting station functions as a bank as well.

If that all turns out nothing I’m reasonable sure your computer is secure. make sure for the rest you use an unique and strong password for gw2. Do not use that password for anything else (I trust the people that come to my home more then potential hackers, so I got mine written down). Make sure your password is strong (so long enough and complex enough and make sure it has nothing to do with geek/game/fantasy/anime related things).

Last of all use the two way authentication. The mobile app is a very usefull tool. When you use that app and log in form a strange location you do not recieve an email, but instead the game asks for a code. this code is generated by that app on your mobile phone. Cause the two devices are separate it is very secure.

Hi, they are considering to add more legendary’s but there is no known timeframe.

Also I would suggest to look further. Many rangers use more then only a bow. At the moment the greatsword is very popular.
Your professions uses 11 different weapons, so you can choose from 11 different legendary’s not just 2. This is a lot better then e.g. an engineer who only can choose between 3 legendary weapons.

I’m glad you got access back. To get an account restoration you first need to realise that this service is only given to you one time.

This means I would advise you to review your online security. Hackers know this and if you don’t get yourself safe again, they wait and stay low till you got a restoration and rob you for the second time. So do a full security sweep of your computer is step one.

After that please update your original support ticket with a request for account restoration. Support will help you further with getting things secure and after that help you with restoring your account.

Blueprints: I donated mine to my guild. You can also go to WvW and help your server by donating it to one of the commanders there. Your guild/server will thank you

I have my bank expresses on my characters and all boosters/merchants/repair kits/etc in my bank. They can pile up,but the advantage is that you are more likely to use them if you have access to them from wherever you are.

As for the crafting mats. You can use T7 items combined with lower stuff to level crafting to 500, but it is not needed. You can also do it through the rediscovering exotic recipes and making exotic weapons. I am keeping 3 stacks of dust and fragments, but given the speed they are coming in I am deleting the rest.

ok, to verify you indeed made a support ticket, you should have recieved a 12-digit ticketnumber.

Support has tasked themself to resolve any ticket within 72 hours (many times its a lot faster). If for some reason it takes longer, then there is something going wrong. The best way to act then is to post the ticket number in the designated sticky thread in this forum. For now there is nothing more to do then wait.

I kinda disagree with this and would urge Anet to be carefull with it.
The idea behind the stacklimit is that they want to stimulate to use mats. As in real life, there is nothing as bad for the economy as valuables stocked away and forgotten. So the current system is a good reminder you are stockpiling.
There are some mats I do this for too. But I am happy with the reminder I have a full stack. You can offcourse drag a full stack to your regular bank and save it there (and if you need room, you can buy a bank tab expansion). But it would remind you of the fact that you are stockpiling

I would advise to get your gear to exotic (if you haven’t done so).
Living Story content is very nice. This month is not my favourite, but the last few months where great and I’m hopefull that will return in the future.

I love doing my personal story, so I would recommend finishing that

I can’t help you with this issue and support needs to help your friend with this. I am worried however bout your friend. Getting hacked means he either has a very bad choice of passwords, or his own computers secrutiy is breached. I suspect he has a keylogger.

I would urgently advise him to do a good security check. If nothing is found he should reinstall the entire computer. Such a hacker does not only have access to your friends gw2 account, but to ALL things he does on his pc. This includes creditcard info, bank info, emailaccount, etc.

Please make sure you also state your server there (it might have to do with network lag for EU-players, cause the pm’s go through the NA server center.

Please understand that reports from other players is that they didn’t get the skin back like this guy. I paused the vid and it seems he first had put the skin on lvl 0 gloves and then transmuated to his high level gloves.

The splitter really works as a reverse transmuatation stone. You put the item in, it shows you the components you will recieve and you confirm. only when confirming the splitter gets consumed.

To get full reward you need to damage the fire ele. But it you don’t need to hit him a lot, 3-4 hits are usually enough, so rezzing people and buffing is very good and helpfull.

this has reported as a bug but some are saying it is intentional. At start the WvW merchant only had limited stats available. They added more later. The ones that where added later can’t be thrown into the mystic forge. the ones that originally where sold still can.

The only solution is to destroy though

Bramble walls is easier, but also a lot more boring. But both are very doable and never had any issue with either of them. In my opinion only two silvari story lines are broken:

I think your issue is mostly with your class and how good you know how to play it. Leveling a mesmer requires a lot more effort and dodge-skills then a full level 80 mesmer.

Race change: No, much too complicated and I totally think not many eople will buy< it. Least not enough to justify the amount of work needed to realise it. new characterslot only cost 800 gems, so if you want to ‘change race’ start a new character.

Yes yours is safer, but it is also harder to remember. Safety and convenience should always be in balanced. The reality is that you should be the weakest one. Hackers only hack bout 1-2% off the accounts and they almost always go for the easiest ones to hack. As long as you make sure you are not the easiest, your almost certainly safe.

Had a simular glitch yesterday that very possibly might be related.
Started attacking one of them (dunno wich one, but he is always on the right side of the ship when you can shoot him). Got 70% off his health off, and he flies away and has his full health back. The second round we got again bout 70% off his health back and it stayed off and we finished him.

No portraits where blacked out, but it might have been that someone was lagging.

It might very well be the reason. The GM’s don’t look at context. the specific term thats also not allowed on the forum is offensive.

IC lets make the case more direct with an example.

Say you have a Pearl Broadsword
You use a Zenith Avenger Skin to change it to a Zenith Avenger. The result will say it is transmutated (although the process isn’t called transmutating).

You then use a transmutation splitter on the Zenith Avenger and it will only offer you the Pearl Broadsword.

In this case that isn’t much of an issue cause the skin can be obtained again from the achievement panel. but with other skins it is.

First off all, the word ‘noob’ is an insult. You know that, you used it as an insult with the goal to be insulting. So I do think you have issues if you think it is ok to use it.

However, I do not think that the word noob is against the policy. It is my opinion that, though insulting, it is as insulting as calling someone a donkey (cause you judge them to be not too intelligent) or a turtle (cause you judge them as being slow).

So either you said something else, you are either not telling here, or have forgotten you said it or the GM made a mistake. Best is to wait out the ticket till you get a response.

Currently I have a thief and a warrior I have back pack skins for but can’t use them yet cause they are not high level enough to do the level 33 quest to get a back-item.

I got a tybalt skin and I got the sunless wings.
If you buy a backskin at the store you get a ‘leather strap’ with it that is a statsless back item for all levels. Why not make them available at the merchant as well??

It even will generate you money cause I will use my skin early on and it will promote the use of transmuation crystals.

The problem is that it is a called a transmutation splitter. Although the process of skins being applied on an item is not called transmutating, the end result will say transmuted. So I do think that this items is not clearly thought through.

I am not sure if a warning in the tooltip is the right solution, maybe make a different term for items with a skin on them.

I don’t think you should try support. They simply don’t have the tools to give you back the original items. So your answer will be no anyways.

In a previous case people has been asked to make a suggestion in the suggestion forums, but so far I haven’t seen one. So you could better invest your time in making such a suggestion.

I do think it is a bug but I also know the cause. that is finishing the living story achievement ‘boss week’.
Cause this means you can’t track tequatl anymore that is undesirable and so a bug.

I am going to assume you allready made one account.
Each account is unique and it is against the user agreement to share accounts. Doing so can result in a termination of your account. This rule is in place cause often accounts get disputed and also to prevent hackers from stealing accounts (or actually tell them it is not allowed to steal accounts, it won’t stop them but it gives anet the right to hunt them down).

So there are only two options you have.
a: the person who made the first account stops playing till you can afford a second account and play together each on your own account.
b: assuming you made the first account recently, you can ask for a refund. This has to be done at the store where you bought the game. The refund policy is different from reseller to reseller. If you brought the game online on the gw2 website, it is likely they will refund it. You can ask them through a support ticket.

Keep in mind that doing B means you are not allowed to buy any copy of GW2 in the future.

First let me explain how the suspension system works. Someone can always report you. Constantly making false reports is against the rules, but Anet is afaik carefull to punish people to do so cause they want to encourage people as much as they can to use the report system. Each and every report is reviewed by a GM. He/she will look up what you actually said and he/she decided if it was offensive or not and if you need a time out of the game.

This process of reviewing can take time. So often people think that the last thing they said is the thing that got them suspended, but it can easily be something you said two days ago.

If you want to know what it was that got you suspended you can always make a support ticket. It takes them 72 hours max to respond. If you, after knowing the reason, still disagrees with the course of action you can ask for an appeal in the ticket. It is a good thing each and every suspension is handled by a GM, but they are human beings and can make mistakes.

Very often people say that 72 hours means the ban is lifted anyways, so there is no use in asking. But it serves two very important purposes.
a: if your suspension was for good reason you then know what not to say in the future.
b: if it was a human error to suspend you, not only the remainder ofthe ban is lifted, but you also get a clean record. Suspension-times go up for second or third offenders, off course you should never break the rules, but having a clean record does help with future ‘misunderstandings’.

1: Is your gw2 password unique?? In other words, do you use it for nothing else?
It often happens that hackers get a bunch of passwords by hacking a fansite. this can also be a guildforum. by making your password unique, specially to those places you login that are telling potential hackers that you play GW2, you prevent a lot of trouble.
2: Is you password strong??
A strong password is unique and with little meaning. As an example whats wrong I use anime names. Often people think that anime is very obscure so picking a charactername of an anime show would be a strong password. However, GW2 is very popular among anime watchers. Such a password is very likely on lists of passwords that hackers test.
A good way of making a strong password is to use a secret you have but never told one and you are never going to tell anyone. A good example could be: ‘When I was at highschool I was hopelesly in love with Holly Richardson’ Now you take the first letter of each word: ‘Wiwahiwhilwhr’ Now lets say you graduated at highschool in 1994. Then adding those numbers would make it even stronger: ‘Wiwahiwhilwhr94’
This password is very strong. But cause you use a sentence, it is much easier to remember for you. And cause the sentence is something nobody knows bout you it is very very strong.

I agree with Sandra here. You are claiming arenanet changed your name, while the reaction of the agent is the policy that arenanet has on this. So I do understand their reaction as well. I would advise you to update the ticket with more reasons why you think it was changed by arenanet and why you disagree with the change.

Wilow is as far as I know not a violation of the naming policy (or I would be in trouble cause I have a character called Willow Genini).

So please update your ticket and be persistent, I’m pretty sure it will result in a more likely answer.

If you think you are totally stuck with support and you are running circles or they given you a ‘final’ answer you disagree with then I would advise you to ask an arenanet senior official to look into it. She will always need a 12 digit ticket number.

If you want to give more general feedback bout e.g. performance the GW2 general discussion would be perfect. If you want to suggest addition to the lists I would say the suggestion forum is perfect.

Guardians. The class is very wanted for dungeons. The only exceptions is speedruns (mostly CoF), but that is mostly done with warriors and mesmers with very specific gears to reach high damage spikes. For most other regular dungeon runs they are very welcome and for FotM I see very often advertisements like ‘lfm 4/5 FotM lvl 25, pref Guard.’ indicating that they actually prefer a guardian.

Rangers can be good for dungeons. They got a bit of a bad name. The reason is not that it is a bad class, but cause it is often used by people who aren’t very good at dungeons. This is resulting in some ranger hate in dungeon groups, but most still don’t have real issues with them, and there isn’t reason for it.

Necro’s are good for dungeons as long as you bring a conditionbuild. Minions are getting one hitted and are useless.

Thief is actually the one I would least off all bring to a dungeon in your list. They are awesome in PvPand WvW, but in dungeons they have real issues staying alive at meleerange due to the heavy damage spikes. At ranged their attacks aren’t as powerfull as other ranged classes. A good thief can be a good addition to a dungeon team, but it is rare.

I have. Let’s explain a bit. a lot of young people say OMFG or F….. yeah! This is however a generation thing. For those young generations it is rather normal to say that, and I know it isn’t said to intend the maining of a celestial being engaged in reproductional behaviour.

However for some older generations it is not a normal thing to say.
On top of that it is only popular by the younger generations in what is called ‘modern’ world. In more traditional community’s it is still seen as very unrespectfull.

Last off all, for many christians, the meaning behind it is offensive and it violates their believes.

This is a game played by many generations from all over the world and with all kind of backgrounds. Guilds are there to group together with people who are like you. But when talking in public you are kindly asked to communicate in a way that is not disturbing by anyone. On top of that you actually agreed to do so when you agreed with the user agreement.

Personally I don’t have an issue with the use of this word, but I totally can see how others can get shocked by it. So thanks for understanding.

I think Trahearne should indeed stay in Orr to kill risen. It is obvious his wyld hunt isn’t over and Orr is far from corrupted. Off course he owe us so much he would sent all the materials he farms to us.

check your combat log. you prolly had a very big damage spike your way. This could e.g. be done by a direct hit by a trebuchet in Khylo

1: The permanent removal of a set of miniatures will not mean they will be gone. They will become a lot rarer. There are still reports that even ultra rare miniatures in gw1 still exist. Some of these didn’t have more then 28 of them ever given out.
2: Yes the price will rise, but that is not reason to say no to such thing.
3: Miniatures and miniatures collectors are an important source of income now for Anet. If you don’t want to be that way, please don’t collect miniatures.

If not and you logged in automaticly you didn’t change your password. But your browser knows your old password. You can look that up in the browser history and privacy settings.

I think the beauty of the wizards tower is that it is an enigma. It has been for over 10 years now. Releasing the story bout the tower would loose the mystery. It would end up just being a floating tower.

Keep in mind, the villany of Galreth was the first quest in GW1 to designed. This means the tower is one of the first objects made by the design team over 10 years ago. I understand you urge to get to the bottom of it, but personally I think it would be more nostalgic and romantic to keep the engima.

You can always try, but going over past cases they do not help. Thing is they don’t interfere with internal guildbussiness. Very often these claims (I did it by accident) can’t be checked. It could very well be that there is a lot of guilddrama going on thats the real cause of the request.

Try contacting the AFK-er is the only solution that might work.

I believe the chest in question isn’t a chest, but a package nicely wrapped in paper. I suspect it is from someone called scarlet??

If so, this is a soulbound item that is from the arch enemy of the living story in August. I noticed, all my newly created characters get one.

Without spoiling too much, lets just say that it is weird for scarlet to sent it to people she didn’t had involvement with. The ‘present’ doesn’t have anything important in it, although, I would strongly advise you to only open it at your own risk!

What part??
You get a reward for 100% map completion on each character. this reward is a star next to your name and two gifts of exploration. If it is your first character you also get the title been there done that.
So with 5 characters that done 100% world exploration you get 10 gifts of exploration.
It happens that the reward isn’t rewarded till you re-enter the chantry of secrets this is a known bug.

The first 3 points are clearly called that they are a reward for linking accounts. No HoM or EoTN needed. My storage account (factions only) clearly shows 3 points in the calculator, Is the calculator misleading me??
How about the pre-searing titles?? Those are rewards you can link without owning EotN, cause there are 5, there are also 5 points in total (3 for account linking, 1 for for first statue, and 1 for 5th status) that you can claim without EotN.
I had a lot of debate bout this and I would be really dissapointed in Anet if the unlocked points (according to the calculator on their website) would not be available. I also haven’t seen proof it would not be. So proof pls
