You get a 12 digit ticketnumber also when you register a support account. you can also mail them directly at support@guildwars2.com and you will get a reply.
Actually, there was a complaint on the account issue forum. The person used it on a gemstore item, and was expecting he could choose again between the PvE form and the PvP form. Instead he just got the untransmutated, ready to put on a new item pvE skin back. So yes according to that report you can, but you cant use to change a pve item to a pvp item or vice versa.
And no you dont get an answer from a dev in here. the section is called players helping players

The maximum amount of characters in the signature is counted including codes. So When you get this message you need to get a shorter url (some sites can do that for you) or use less text.
The IP adress from Texas is very likely save. This is a known glitch that happens when you visit the server (you use the same account on the forum as in the game. so when you log in to the forum, the forum logs you in on the login server to verifiy it is you. The forum server is in Texas).
As Gaile said, if you are worried, please submit a ticket. I am pretty sure they rather have you check with them without anything wrong, then that you don’t check and loose all you got.

PvE is PvE and not PvP.
I am allready against dualing in open world cause of the immature hate in some other games when you don’t accept a challenge. I do not do PvP and I think it should in no way enforced on me, even if it is the guildI am loyal too.
Also it is an impossible mechanic. Even if I would fight, anytime my health would drop too low to win, I could easily in a split second press ‘G’ and click ‘stand down’.

I understand what your saying, but practical you are assuming people will act as you wish. This is however an MMO and human nature will dictate that this will be just a cheaper version off the commander tag, but wont change a thing bout the zerg size. Zergs are as big as the amount of people that want to follow. A commander doesnt have a lot of influence either. If he feels a zerg is too big he can only dismantle the zerg by taking the commander icon off, wait atleast 15 minutes and then start with a fresh zerg.
So a lt. Commander wont have much influence on the size either.
I understand your unhappyness with the zerg, but this wont solve it.
how often does this happen??. My primary character is guardian and GS my main weapon. I’ve been playing guardian a lot in the last day and haven’t noticed this at all.

I am pretty confident that this is not a bug and would like you to give more information. I did some research. The wikipage is describing the single shot riffle with knockback effect as the effect. According to the history this has been so since the page was created (on february 2th, 2013). I’ve been through every update note before that (using CTRL+F to search each page for the word ‘marker’) and have not seen any change.
So I have to come to the conclusion this has been the items functionality since the release of the game.
There can be 2 possible explanations. You remember this effect from any of the Beta weekend events or closed beta. The game as it was then was not released, so any contend changed since then was never ment to be in the game.
The other explanation is that you have a different environmental weapon in mind but mixed up in your mind where you bought it or what the name was.
If you are confident that the items are mailed to the wrong account then support has limited issues to help Cause it is a trial account, these items will be waiting there during the next trial. Support has no means to login to the account or give access now.
If you are not certain or if you want confirmation of this being impossible, then you should file a support ticket. As you said, you did so but you where unhappy with the initial response. I urge your in such situation to reply to that existing ticket to express that unhappieness. Often it is a simple communication problem and your native language isn’t english, making it easier for support to not fully understand). If after several times explaining you stay unhappy with the response support has given you, please post the ticket number here and ask an arenanet official for a review. Keep in mind that the arenanet official can’t do things that support can’t do themselfes. So if support is saying they are not unwilling to help you but don’t have the tools to help you, the the official wont have those tools either.

indeed, renewing your IP-adress is totally nonsense. First off all, its just changing your adress while this is obviously a server side issue. Secondly. Nowadays, most homes have broadband internet with a modem that also functions as a router. This means the ip address off your computer is a private ip adress leased to you from your home router. Changing that private IP adress has zero use.
Go to your browsers settings. You can log in here and it is the same password. in the settings or history you can find the password.

no, but I have heard of it. this isnt an account issue but caused by network lag, combined with the game recalculating your odd new position (odd in the sense of different form where you where before dc, namely in a dungeon). today is very stressfull for the servers, and it takes me to load for ages too due to new content. true logging in on a strange hour, e.g. in the morning. You will likely get in and it will be solved again. if this is persistent, pls contact support.
I remember they added a final boss to Doa (nightfall, gw1), it took bout 3 weeks before people found a way to crack him down. Just give it some time, I’m pretty sure people will find a good way to get him done in a few days

It is unlikely this will be incorperated unless the living story itself is repeated and it is a recurring item.
The possibility to use it on all your characters as many times you want makes and item less unique and will likely upset the people who got something cause it is something unique.

I would say a window of 2 hours with a cooldown of 6 hours (from start) would be pretty accurate.
AntiGW summonedit up pretty nice.
Thief is generally DPS. (with hit and run tactics). They have some party buffs, but those are rather oddballs (e.g. giving stealth or being good in rezzing people safely).
Gaurdian it’s main quality is in the team. damage is ok, but not special. The buffs your are giving yourself and others make it a very popular class.
You can also go to the heart of the mists to see it on your own character.
To answer your question. You are asking wether this is an exploit, bug or feature. The vid is actually showing how you get an advantage out of this. So if this is a bug, it is also an exploit if used (cause the bug is used to gain an advantage).
The question is wether it is a bug or a feature. Or more specifically, if smart use of a game mechanic is unintended.
The game is designed as an MMO. That means that the developer knows a lot of people work together to beat it and find solutions bout how to solve it.
In GW1 a very popular Paragon build was imbagon. Basicly the mechanic behind this build was that a Paragon/warrior (gw1 used a primary and a secondary profession you could combine in any combo).
It used a warrior skill and a paragon skill to reduce damage dealt to your party with 88.5%. With some other paragon skills it was possible to have this protection always up.
This specific case is interesting cause it gives a huge advantage. But it is very clear it is very unlikely that it was intended. The warrior skill was a skill released with the campaign factions. The paragon skills (and the whole profession) where released with the campaign Nightfall. So I’m pretty sure the devs didn’t plan this to happen.
So just calling all smart uses of oversights or undesigned effects an exploit is wrong.
So how bad is this?? Charge has a recharge of 15 seconds and a cast time of 3,25 seconds. So this means that you only have two charges while transformed (that last 30 seconds). After that it goes into a 240 second recharge.
So you can only do this twice every 4 minutes. It has limited effect for PvP (you can easily dodge a charge) and it isn’t ruining the game.
tl;dr – This is not an exploit. If it is unbalanced it will be balanced in a near update.

ESO is a huge fail. Arenanet has proven that games like this can be free to play. I will never ever pay a monthly fee for a game again. So to me ESO is going to fail.
As for expansions. They said that they are thinking bout releasing new content (maps, story, dragons) not in traditional expansion pack where you have to pay for, but in living story releases. So also for FREE.

4: NO! I think that it would mess up the style of the maps and gets chaotic. I do hope that they will add the guildcommanders and give them a different colour icon. Also if in a squad, you should see the other commanders, but show your own with a different colour. (normal commanders blue, guildcommander green, your commander orange).
5: Yes, or even more, do something like in factions with towns: add the guildlogo to the map logo.
6: I don’t get this one. Can you explain more?? You mean things like sanctum sprint??
7: I’m a bit double bout this. I rather see a way to make soulbound items accountbound (soulbound on equip) for a price then make an acception for legendary weapons. That way it is ok to swap weapons between characters, but you are pushed into the direction of getting equipment for all your characters.
The top 5 WvW servers are very orientated on WvW. This means long queue times and massive zergs.
I think that besides the lowest 5 servers, there are no bad WvW servers. the match-up system is reasonable fair and some weeks you might be to foes that are overpowering you and some that you are wining easily.
Cause you also want a good server for PvE I would suggest to go for any high populated server ranking between place 6 and place 19 in the leaderboard: https://leaderboards.guildwars2.com/en/na/wvw

I asume your english isn’t your main language cause your topic is both short and hard to understand what you are saying.
I think you are trying to say that you reached 100% map completion, but didn’t get the two gifts as a reward.
If so I would advise you first to go to the chantry of secrets. There is a known bug that you have to rediscover the poi there to make the game register that you done it. going back there will give the reward.
If that isn’t the solution I would advise to file a support ticket. Go on top of this page to ‘support’ and then ‘ask a question’. Besides english you can do it also in German, French and Spanish. If your main language is different you can ask if it is ok to ask it in your main language.

I would strongly advise against this.
The goal of the flags is to stop RMT (goldsellers). Goldsellers will do anything to avoid detection. So doing the same thing (avoiding detection) will result in making your actions more suspicious instead of less.
Well, all three are very nice. Engineer is an oddball. I like it very very much but they are challenging.
Ranger is kinda boring. I actually advise people new to MMO’s to either start with a warrior or a ranger. The reason is they are very forgiving and have a slow learning curve. However, you might want to have something more challenging.
Necromancer is what you are saying. a conditionmancer with some weak pets.

Lick wounds is working as designed, but you are claiming it is overpowerd in the current state. Same goes for sirens call and mind blast.
for reports bout the official supported languages, the report made on e.g. a french server will be handled by a french speaking GM.
For reports bout other language names, I am pretty sure that if it happens more often that someone gets reported, a GM will google it. If it is really really offensive then I would advise to make a support ticket. Explain that you know that you are supposed to report in the game, but that you want to give additional info, together with a translation and an online source for the translation.
as IC said, support will help him get control over his account back. Just to give you the heads up. Am account restoration is an additional service that is only given once per account. So while they will help him get his account back, any missing items/characters will not be restored

If you had double tickets and told them bout the inappropriate date in the newer tickets, the make sure you do so in the first ticket (bout this issues). If you did it in that one, then wait for the arenanet official to response (I know it will be you Gaile, just, uuuhhhm, well you never know, Mike can sent you on a well earned holliday for 6 months and put someone else on your chair in between. or something simular).

The inlog is the same here as for the game. So it might be just a simple misspelling (if you are automaticly logged in, please check your password through your browser setting).
But the reason I’m redirecting you to support is that if you got the game gifted from a friend it might very well be that there is an ownership dispute. It is against the user agreement to share an account. Technically the owner of the account is the person who created the account (and so agreed to the user agreement in the proces).
It is allowed to give the game to someone else, but that should be done by giving you the serial code so you can make the account.
Don’t worry too much though. I know support will do their best to verify you are the actual owner of the account. They can’t always solve it, but in most cases they can.

Hacked account – Restoration O [Incident: 130914-001247]?
I stoped playing for about 3 days on 10th sep, at night, so im fairly sure i got hacked between 11-13sep. Dont they take a restoration point, or account snapshot fairly often rather than once a month? there must be a closer one please can anyone look into it more throuroughly? :/
The date of the ticket suggest that you either
a: had a previous ticket. do not open multiple tickets for the same case. close all but the first one, and give the arenanet official that ticketnumber.
or.
b: you only had your restoration and didn’t discuss the disagreement bout the date with support first. Please do that first by updating the original ticket. Also ask the Arenanet official here to put her review on hold.
Give support a fair change to solve it before asking for a review here.
As said, they make regular restorationpoints, but there is no right for restoration, it is an additional service. if that is the last point before you got hacked, then that is the last point and there is nothing else.
Please give support a change and if that fails then ask the arenanet official. She is a marvelous woman, but also very busy
On the bright side, if you were to just accept the gold and they ban you, you could use the legal system to your advantage. It is illegal to block someone out of their purchased products in most countries/states and if someone sends out gold by mistake it in no way means you broke the EULA. Oh how I would love it to have been me! Here the fine starts at 5000$ for locking someone out of a purchased product.
Unfortunally thats is incorrect info. US law applies here cause you need to start a trial in the US to try and enforce this (or maybe the country where NCSoft is). There has been no US high court ruling bout this. There has been some single case trials where in specific cases the judge rules that where an user agreement was claiming that the sale was a license to use a service(and so the license could be withdrawn), and the judge declared that it was actually a sold product. There has been no court ruling bout a paid product and free to use service connected to that product. The unique business model that Arenanet uses makes that only a direct trial against Arenanet (or maybe NCsoft) can result in a legal precedent. In many cases this (if you find a us court willing to shred the user agreement) will just results in a change of the user agreement making it the same actual way with a detour.
Bottom line is that Arenanet support is very good and helpfull and in my personal opinion has a very fair way of ruling. But the user agreement is much tighter then the standards support is using and it is almost impossible to claim any money when your account gets terminated (besides unused gems you paid for and recent purchases you paid for but hasnt had a change to actually use it).

b: support had some difficulty finding the exact moment you got hacked and took a rather big margin just to be sure. In that case a review might give a different decision.
If you already asked support this and their reply was again negative, you can ask an arenanet official to ask so. All you have tot do is update your above post with your 12-digit ticket number.
I would like to point out that getting hacked means your online security was breached. It is an additional service Anet is giving in the form of a account restoration. It is not a right you have or can claim.

If you add someone to your friendslist and give them a nickname, you also see that nickname in the guildlist.
Not a bug, the recipe can not be discovered, but can only be learned.
- Go to metrica province (Jeztar Falls Waypoint)
- Do if needed the heart ‘Help Blopp stop the Inquest from using hylek poison to drive lake creatures crazy’
- Talk to the renown heart NPC ‘Blopp’
- Buy the recipe from him for 28 karma
- double click the recipe to learn it

Hey bunny, I understand you are angry.
It has been 13 days since the start of the new crafting levels. Since then only one report was made by another player that the same thing happened (or others have slipped my attention, but I honestly spend too much time here allready).
So I doubt it will have happened to countless others. This doesn’t mean it should be an issue that has to be ignored.
I would advise you to handle this as an individual case and continue the path through support. As I understand you made a ticket and you got a response that is prolly made by a support agent not fully understanding your question. So I would advise you to update that ticket with clarifications. It is also possible to add screenshots to it, show them both the achievement and the discipline.
If you allready done this without success or if you get the same negative respons I would suggest to post the ticketnumber in the account issues section of the forum with a request for a review by an arenanet official.
So basicly, give support another change to fix this, they might have misunderstood you and able to learn. if unsuccesfull ask for an appeal.

I would like to ask what the best method is to report a guild with an inapropiate name or in this case tag. I’m not going to tell wich guild it is and what the name is. I have rather negative experiences with that.
(guildleader was complaining on the forum why his officer was banned and the officer wasn’t being fully truthfull to the leader bout the reason, so I decided to step out as one of the people who reported her. the leader was very happy, but I got a few hate PM’s from members)
But what is for support the most convinient way?. So far I reported the person recruiting in LA with reason ‘Verbal abuse’. But this has been some time ago and they are really actively recruiting on my server.
I know a guild has to start over fully so I rather see that happening sooner then later (cause they are getting bigger, and they will likely be dissapointed).

Also, Feirlista’s comment bout norton is right. Norton is way too heavy for the cause. I haven’t touched it in some times cause the reports are the same, but a year or 4 ago Norton could use up to 25% of a systems capacity’s. For a firewall/virusscanner that is way too much. Specially when there are good alternatives that are just as good AND free. So would also suggest to give norton the boot.
Also, as I understand it right, during the living story weeks, the living story panel will tell when it is up and it will be on a regular basis and not with a window.
How it will be after the two living story period is currently unknown.
I had the spawn in the ground bug as well During clockwork chaos invasions.
Same for me and I m european player. So the european servers are located in North America ?
No the european servers are located in europe (germany to be precise). However the login server is in Texas. So when EU-players boot the game, they first connect to the US to login. When logged in, they go to europe to load the actual maps and server info.
This is important so players in US can share friendslist and guildrosters with EU players (wihtout physically getting together in game), as well as the global TP.
The forum that is causing this glitch is located in the US as well.
Yes it is allowed and arenanet has no issues with this. It is an overlay, so it isn’t altering the client.
There are overlays that go further then the s3 overlay.
e.g. one that gives you warning when worldbosses like tequatl or the shadow behemoth are up. This is a respons to a simular question from an arenanet employee bout this:

ok, unfortunally, I can’t find a usermanual for this one with screenshots of the internal interface, but I have found that by default this modem blocks all special ports.
’There’s a Firewall Security Level setting for for gateway, and I was using the Maximum Security, which blocks all ports.’
Hopefully someone else here who has that modem can help you with exact instructions how to fine tune the settings inside the modem. You can always contact Comcast and ask them for help. You can inform them that you need to have the following ports open: ports 80, 443, 6112 and port 6600 (both inbound and outbound, unrestricted access)
