To prevent misuse of creditcards where the owner looses a lot of money or anet never sees the money they want to confirm your identity. Support will help you with that.

ok just to get the image for the devs complete and so they can check it quickly before a new matchup, is your border (the place you load into) on the bottom left corner of the map or the bottom right??

I’m very sorry to hear what has happened, but I also have to agree with Teege. This is not a bug and the system is actually working as intended. If you leave your guild, accident or not, someone has to lead. I’m afraid there is not much that cant be done either.

They monitor those kind of transactions, they do not take action against that kind of transactions. it can happen a GM makes a mistake and in those situations it is quickly resolved when people file a support ticket. You can help the GM reviewing high level transactions by communicating ingame.

I play in the EU, so cant give any server names. There are very little issues with overfarming in this game, you only have to queue for World versus World (not for bosses).

The respawn rate of foes is very quick. Besides that there is a skaling system in place, and you don’t have to tag a foe first to get the drops. Farming nodes only dissappear for you for some time, but others can still farm it.

There is an issue at very very crowded events (like the recent chaos clockwork events) where you deal a decent amount of damage, but still don’t get the champion drop cause it is simply too crowded, but with crowded I mean like at a popconcert crowded.

If you are considering to transfer I would suggest going for a high populated world that is ranking place 5-15 on the WvW leaderboard. A top ranking server often has the issues that the rest of the server is deserted and you have extreme long waiting queue’s. Very high populated servers that are sub top are likely to have a more then decent amount of the population in PvE.

You can always use the guesting function to play for a bit on different servers to test them out if it makes a difference (though you cant enter WvW while guesting, this to prevent matchfixing).

Darkhaven is not a server, but a world. Changing world will likely not solve your problem. All worlds are on a cluster of servers, there are two of those clusters. One is northern America, and the other in Europe.

If your issue was purely a serverissue then everyone would haven it.
What is happening is that you are experiencing lag. There are two types of lag.

a: Client lag or graphical lag. Your connection to the server is ok, but your computer has issues translating all the information to visable information, This kind of lag is normally restricted to crowded places where a lot is going on. One could think of World versus World or World events. Going to a lesser populated server can solve to some extend, but it would be far more effective to consider investing on your hardware.

b: network lag. The problem is the connection between you and the server. People tend to blame this on Arenanet by saying that their internconenction is fine cause other things like youtube, google, etc are working fine. This is however not the true case.

When going from point a to point b on the internet you go through different hubs (routers). I added a image to illustrate how different paths can be followed on the internet or world wide web. The internet is visualised as a complex web of computers conntected with each other.

The speed of the connection is as fast as that of the weakest link. So there are paths that can be considered speedways and there are that can be considered country roads. A country road isn’t an issue as long as it is a sunday afternoon, but in the morning rush hour it will delay your connection a lot. Arenanet (the reciever) is only responsable for the last bit of the connection. Your own internetprovider is responsable to give you a decent route to the server.

Network lag is hard to solve. Most internetproviders don’t take complaints serious, and many of the complaints are not being taken serious by the customer support. In many situations the only solution is to find a new provider.

So to help you I want to ask you to explain more bout your problems. Can you desribe what you are experiencing when playing. do you have it all the time or at specific locations/time of day/activity’s?? does it happen when you are in town with a lot of people near the bank, or when you are fighting a world dragon?. When you crash, do you get an error message?? what message is it?

Either I don’t understand how condition damage works at all or you are using some might strange “new” math there. If you mean it’s a 5% increase in the condition damage number….well ok, but that does NOT translate to +5% DPS (as I understand how condition damage applies to actual DPS).

Sorry, I ment +5% condition damage. I prefer this term, cause the actual number is fawled cause of all the downscaling going on. An ascended weapon rewards 5% hiogher stats for condition damage then an exotic weapon with the same set of stats.

These attempts to hack are done by people who have your username and password (only then you get an authorisation request). This is not cause anet has a bad security, but cause of you. If changing your password doesn’t help you, you should review your security, cause it means they are in your computer.

Anet is secure but you are not.

Carrion pearl axe gives +90 condition damage
Occam’s Reaver (carrion stats) gives + 94 condition damage.

So this is as well bout 5% damage, there are also stats where conditiondamage is the second or third attribute, if you want to know those please use the wiki yourself.

(look for ascended weapons, and for exotic pearl weapons and see the difference.)

Every dynamic event has a trigger. Sometimes it is a certain amount of time that must have passed since the last time, sometimes you need to talk to someone. sometime a certain other event has to be done successfully or even not successfully. sometimes it is even random (a window of time it starts randomly in).

For many important events people found out the specific trigger. And there are even websites that track them down.

Important events are world events, but also nowadays a lot of events that involves killing a champion.

The best way is to not worry bout that now. Just walk around, kill stuff, do renown hearts. skillchallenges. watch vista’s and unlock points of interest and waypoints. All give experience. If you see an event on the way, then please do it. Events are there to make your experience of an area different each time you go there, so best is to let yourself be surprised.

If you want to level more then you can also gather raw materials and craft armor, weapons, food, jewels, etc. both the gathering as the crafting will also give you experience and you will level up.

Ziltoid.6358 is your accountname. This name is used as an identifier for you account. If someone mails to you in game it will go to your accountname. Membership of the guild is also based on your account name, as well as adding you to the friendslist (and blocklist).
But please read on…

Within your account you have 5 characterslots (more if you buy more slots). So your account consist of different characters. Each of them has a name you can pick yourself (and also has to be unique. lets say one of your characternames is ‘Smurf’.

If I want to sent you an email, I can simply type ‘Smurf’. The game will see it is a charactername belonging to Ziltoid.6358 and it will forward the mail to the account (so even when your not online on your character ‘Smurf’, but on your other character that you called ‘Batman’ you will recieve the email.

In the friendslist you will always see the name of the character you are online with

In a pm, the name of the person your pm-ing will automaticly change to the charactername. so e.g. if I am pm-ing ‘smurf’ and you change character to ‘Batman’ the person I’m pm-ing changes to ‘batman’.

If you are offline and on my friendslist it will say:
‘Ziltoid.6358’

If you are online on your character ‘Smurf’ it will say
‘Smurf Ziltoid.6358’

On top of that, if people have issues with remembering who you are, they can rightclick you on the friendslist and give you a nickname. that way, instead of your accoutnname they will always see the name they have chosen for you.

There is no such feature, nor is there ever announced that such a feature is planned.
I think you saw a suggestion in the suggestion section of this forum (or another one). Those are players thoughts bout what they would like to see in the game.

I suspect it has to do with some localisation data. Have you ever played in a different language then english??

I think that this can be solved by asking your friend to use the command line argument ‘-image’ to get all localisation data as well (though the wiki is asking for verification of this command line argument).

bottom line is that you should never run out of money.

I keep always some reserve. I personally use the following calculation
Each level on a character means 1 silver in reserve. So I have 4 level 80’s, a level 20, a level 23, a level 31, a level 39 and a level 1 for bl key farming (but I dont count that one).

So I force myself to have 4×80+20+23+31+39 silver in reserve = 4g33s. To make it myself easy, I made it 5g (dont want to re-calculate everytime I level up).

That way you always have enough money for everyday costs like salvage kits, gathering tools, armor repairs and waypointing.

Change your settings to AOE loot, then your “F” key will cover a much larger area, I just run through and keep pressing “F”.

On top of that ,you can assign a different key to AoE loot. F will only AoE loot if you can’t loot a single corpse (so if you do not have the text ‘(F) loot’ on screen) and if you have the option in the settings on.

With a hotkey you always loot all body’s in the area. I use ‘L’ (that stands for loot), but you can pick any available key.

It takes some time to get used to, but it will abokittenly loot everything in range.

The description is saying it loots at range 600, but in my experience it is closer to 300. So keep that in mind.

Do not spend any money on it. It is much much better to use the money on other elements of the legendary. As Jay said, keep gambling on the mystic forge with drops. It helps to have a trading system with others. In my case I need a GS (dawn, but when I get dusk I prolly sell it on the tp to buy dawn), some of my friends need staff, longbow or shield. So all drops I get go to them and in return I get their greatswords.

I throw in all greatswords that are level 76 or above of masterwork quality or higher. Always make sure you combine a set of 4 of the same quality. it has a change to be promoted to a higher quality.

Besides drops, I also use dungeontokens to get exotic greatswords. You can use some of the WvW greatswords, but both the price (tokens AND a gold) and the fact that some are bugged and don’t go into the forge prevents me from doing that.

Keep in mind that exotic weapons will drop in price (and actually are dropping in price) on the tradepost. This is off course due to the introduction of ascended weapons. the raw crafting mats are staying behind a bit cause of people needing them to level to 500. When that is done, in a month or 3 I expect those to drop as well.

On to poff that, before the end of the year a garanteed way of getting a precursor is added. It will be challenging (they said) but requires no luck.

Nobody is saying you shouldn’t have a 2th restoration. We are just expressing our thoughts bout how support generally responds.

I personally would consider it (if I would be support). given the amount off time between the hacks, that they are individual cases and it seems you have learned your lesson. I would react though to your ticket directly and ask you to not tell it in public cause otherwise a flow of simular demands would arise.

But hey that’s me, and Arenanet might very well disagree with me or choose a different approach. So while informative, that personal opinion doesn’t help you a lot.

I have worked support for a world leading telephone company, both as a first line technical support as for the complaints department (escalted issues).

I do know the exaggerations you hare claiming are very common among customers. I also know I always ignored them and went straight through the core.

1: NEVER PM an arenanet employee. IF you really do the job you are saying you do, you know that perfectly well. Procedures exist to prevent failure of the procedure and to prevent further complaints. I know it is impersonal but it assures the high quality of support.

2: As said follow the procedure. If a ticket is unresolved within 72 hours please post the ticketnumber in https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/account/Tickets-for-Review-3-days-and-older-merged . A senior Arenanet official will review the reason why you didn’t have answer.

Is it possible? Yes off course. support is there to help you and answer all your questions
Will they swap it? very likely not.

Support doesn’t have tools to create things out of nothing (though some people are claiming they have the tools but are not being honest bout it, I personally trust them, but refusing or not being able ends in the same answer).

support does not help you when you made a mistake. This is an online world, just like the real world. If you make a mistake you have to live with it.

But again. Feel free to ask. I never seen an issue like this and it is up to them to make the policy. I just find it unlikely. So I want to warn you to not get your hopes up when you ask.

What I liked in GW1 was the pre-searing title.
It was at first hard but later on easy to do, but it required you to make a new character.
I also liked the original speedy reader. You either read bout it or you found out for yourself, but there was no list ingame telling you.

I would like more off these achievements. Some that come in mind are:
‘During defense of Sheamore, tell all villages to hide in the inn.’ (if you talk to them you can tell them that and they go there, it is allready there, just need a counter).

For the Norn it could be: acquire all trophy’s before engaging Isomer.

For the Silvari: ’ /sleep in your dreams’

I don’t know any of them for asura and char right now, but maybe others get creative or I think bout it later.

If you dislike your own name for any reason, feel free to buy a name change. This reason can also be that it is offensive to some people and you don’t want to offend people.

If you want a free name change, do nothing, wait till you are reported (if ever) and a GM decides it is severe enough (if ever) and you get one for free + a mark on your account.

So as long as your not reported and judged guilty, it is upon your own moral standards if you pay for a namechange.

I saw your posted in the 72 hour thread for the second time. Please don’t do that. It will only get your account here suspended as well. Support has reviewed your request, denied your request. You appealed it, and a senior arenanet official again has denied your request. This means your account is closed and will stay closed. There is nothing you can do bout it.

You asked there for a full account wipe. I’m afraid thats not something that is being offered. All you can do is re-buy guildwars 2, create a new account and start over.

Please understand that a rollback is only given once. So take Astral’s advice bout your online security serious before asking a roll-back. It has happened that people got hacked straight away after the rollback.

This is not a bug. So I’m sorry but your asking in the wrong section. This belongs in suggestions. A bug is something not working as intended by the designers. the suppression works as designed, but you are suggesting to change it.

Personally I think it is a difficult one. The suppression is not only here to prevent regular spammers, but also to fight gold sellers. I can see that they will gather in WvW quickly.

I guess you allready asked support for this (and got a negative reply), so you have a 12-digit ticket number. please update your post with that one.

Also, do you know how you got hacked??
The reason why Arenanet is in general way not giving a second restoration is that an hacked account always comes from people being careless with their details or online security. I know I have easy talking, I’m an IT-specialist with degrees in computer security. This means I’m better protected then most people (and I don’t even use a virusscanner). A hacker usually goes for the weakest targets. So you really have to question yourself how and why they got to you.

The reason why they don’t throw around restorations is that it is harmfull for the in game economy. All your belongings are likely being put back into the economy by the hacker (in an attempt to make profit, likely to sell to others for real money). This is not changed by a restoration, but the items are actually duplicated. So a restoration is very harmfull for the economy, specially if people need one e.g. every week.

If you want this appeal to be successful you should find out how you got hacked again, be honest bout it and explain what measures you are taking to prevent it. Support knows that a 100% security is impossible, but they certainly don’t want lightning to struck 3 times.

I think that must be an issue with your client/computer., specially cause the graphics seems to be from an outside source, like a picture of some graffiti.

I remember from gw1, when using textmod to make exploration easier, it would sometimes reflect images from other windows in gw1.

Your ticket is from the 10th, today is the 12th. This means your ticket is not 72 hours old yet. Please use this thread only if you have given support a change to solve it within 72 hours.

1: this might be intended (in a way that it is not fixable and accepted as an acceptable loss).
2: bumping will not mean this gets more attention, it will only mean the devs have more work to do, cause they have to re-read your thread. All bugs are categorized and get a priority attached to it, based upon how many people are affected and how game breaking it is. The priority is for arenanet to decide. It might even well be that they allready looked into this and found it can’t be fixed. So please do not bump!

Indeed, the failrate is cause of two things
1: The zerg is too big. A squad (30 players) is enough to spawn the maximum amount of champs in any group. If the zerg gets bigger then 30 players it is time to form a second zerg. Above 30 players, the amount of champs doesn’t increase but the amount of health they have do. So you are only slowing things down.
2: people keep farming Aether’s (and to a lesser extend shaman’s) after the bar is gone. This is called greed. I do think Anet should stop this. But to (help) solve this yourself I have found a somewhat effective method. Just starting a flame in mapchat doesn’t work. But what I do is, when the aetherbar is done and gone, I start farming minions myself. I ask in mapchat to ping minionchamps and off course
I do that myself as well. This very often tempts the farming zerg to start paying attention to the minions instead of the left over aetherblades.

a) The legend – keep trying to dump all green/yellow/orange stakitten that are level 76 or up in the forge. If this fails, before the end of the year anet will release a garanteed, no luck required (but challenging) way of making your precursor.
b) Ecto’s: I did a lot of world bosses and got all the ecto’s I need easily. using an overlay is very help-full to track them and do bout 6-10 per day.
c) See B, crystaline dust can be salvaged from ecto’s, so when you done with getting the ecto’s you need, keep doing those world events and slavage the extra ecto’s

I haven’t tried it myself yet, but the champion-zerg in frostgorge sounds promising too, to get rare’s.

Also using all other resources to get money to buy ecto’s and dust helps a lot.
1: use your karma on orrian jewelboxes. open them, and use excess karma again to get more jewelboxes. Sell the junk to a merchant and the lodestones on the TP. This gives a nice amount of money.
2: Use laurels for tier 6 mats boxes from the laurelvendor. You get dust out of them, sell all others (assuming you have a stack of each) on the TP.

There are two finishers. One is permanent. There is also a cheaper version that isn’t. This thread is bout that one.

I do not think that the OP needs more people that tell him we don’t believe him. To the OP I would say that this will be resolved by an arenanet official. All chat is recorded, so that person will know exactly what you said. So if you said something else it would be honest bout it.

you can indeed change the region by just going to a server in the other region. Keep in mind that you will need to transfer, and after the transfer you can only guest in the new region.

have you tried changing the quality setting, especially the character model ones??
If you are lagging it means you have to load to many things at the same time. turning those two settings down while in wvw should help

As being said, there are people leveling all the time. I have several level 80 characters but also play e.g. my level 23 thief to level up. The problem is that I mix things up, so im a slow leveler.

Also this game is made very sociable. You can meet someone doing an event or two together, and then you split again. So that means you don’t always team up, but you can still be social and make friends. When I meet the same person three times in a map I often say in local chat ‘Hey Stalker’, and sometimes that results in new friends.

this cant be fixed at the gw2 end of things. for questions why your ip changes that often you need your internet service provider. You could use the mobile authenticator instead. That way you verify with your phone instead of with an email. You still need to verify im afraid.

You are not the only one to do this. But you will likely not get a refund. There is no automated process to do so, only support could do this. However, support doesn’t help in case of a user error.

The reason for that is that GW2 is a free to play game. You don’t pay a monthly fee. So people needing support cost more then people who do not need support. So they want you to not make those mistakes, and the only way is to not help you. This way you will likely warn as many others bout this AND never make the mistake yourself again.

That is correct, the price to transfer to seafairers is 1000 gems at the moment. If in the week time the population rises from ‘high’ to ‘very high’ it will cost 1800 gems. As said, if you have deleted all characters it is for free

The 7 day cool down is to prevent match fixing in world versus world.

You don’t sell to the Black Lion trading company. You use a service called the trade post, wich is a place where you can sell items to other players. This means that it can take time for a sell to go through.

If you never sell something you put up for sale, there is obvious no demand for the item or you have overprized the item resulting that you will never sell it.

In the listed items tab you can see your items, and if needed remove them from the tradingpost, they will returned to you and be available again to pick up. You will loose the 5% listing fee.

I’m sorry if you know all this, but your post doesn’t indicate it.

please post in the tech support section. this is likely not a bug but might has to do with your drivers/hardware. Please make sure you update drivers for your audio and graphics to the newest. If that doesn’t help post in the tech support forum. Include atleast the following info:

- do you use windows or MacOs, and wich version?
- what graphic cards do you have?
- what processor do you have?
- how much memory do you have on the computer?

- Do you get an error message, and if so, wich one?

If you have trouble answering these questions leave them blank and the good people there will help you to find the answers.

This is not a bug. The respawnrate is there to ensure that content keeps to be challenging despite someone just before you doing all the work. The skillpoint in question is indeed challenging, but very much doable. with a longer respawn rate it means that people can just wait outside till someone clears the mobs and then quickly run in. That would be wrong as well. The respawnrate is challenging there, but it is very much doable.

This means you are killing too slowly. This can be cause of several reasons. The first is playstyle. Gear can be an issue as well. Also, you need to make sure you are actually hitting the enemy’s.

Like said, the skillpoint is challenging, but I always managed to do it. I did one time had to skip it to gain 2 more levels before trying again, but thats all.

A game needs challenging content for all players. this means there will be content that is likely too hard for you to do. I can do almost anything in the game, but I had a real issue with the gauntlet during the recent living story. This is however as designed and I just skipped that bit of content.

I’m currently between guilds and prolly going to orientate myself on a new guild in one or two weeks.

I do not go for the hardest spammer in mapchat. It can even have negative effect. There is one guild on my server that is always covering other peoples advert in mapchat (so guild A sets an ad-text in chat and within a second that guild set their ad-text). The guild that does that is too agressive in my opinion and I will never join that one.

I am planning on looking in here on the guild advertising section. I will likely go for a guild that has a forum/website, where atleast part of the forum is open. This way I can have a good impression what the atmoshpere is and what makes them a real guild and more then just a chatchannel.

So for me, to join a guild, an advert in the guildsection of this forum and a forum/website is important.

Small guilds can have a big advantage simply cause they are more build around friends. In big guilds I often had the feeling to be a number.

small advice, always make sure you have some money available.
There is a lot of debate bout this, but I do the following. Each level = 1 silver.

This means that for each level 20 character you have, you should keep a reserve of 20 silver. and for each level 80 (level cap) this means 80 silver reserve. This means you never run out of money in case you need repairs, waypoint, gathering tools, salvage kit, or made a mistake like you did.

US citizens come legally off age at age 19. So in this case there is a change anet will see this as a case where a parent has trouble to let go and handle this as if you where still younger.

Important is that your mum steps to Arenanet and not you.
If your mum let your brother use your account to actually play the game there is no change your account will be restored. It is against the rules to share an account. Even when your mum used legal rights to take away your access to the account she still has to follow the user agreement.
