I have been using the Frostbitten Orichalcum Logging Axe and have only been getting tiny snowflakes, even when harvesting ancient saplings. Are tiny snowflakes really the only possibility or am I just unlucky in getting other tiers of snowflake?
Love this idea!
I probably will be buying something from the gem store.
It’s nice that people have started putting things that they’re completely making up in bold lettering.
Yeah, the first couple of levels are fantastic on a new character. It would make for a wonderful single player game. However, it does not make for a very good persistent MMO. Have fun while the game still feels like there is loads of content, because nothing else comes after.
I bet you’re a blast at parties.
Tell me about it… I’ve been farming chests in Dry Top for days and haven’t seen a single carapace boot box. So tired of Anet’s RNG…
While we’re getting rid of underwater combat, let’s convert all trident skins to staff skins, please.
No giant mushrooms, or fairies, or secret pats in the woods
I don’t know about everyone else, but I sure could use a few more secret pats in the woods, if you catch my drift.
Once you get 300 MF, the only use for luck is to link it in map chat and ask what use it has.
Clearly the build that the OP is using isn’t working
It isn’t the game OP, it’s you.
Actually, if a game offers you a plethora of ways to build your characters but you can’t actually use most of them to play the game, then yes, it is the game, because that’s bad design.
Especially when one of the selling points of the game is, in fact, versatility.
So, because the OP’s build didn’t work, that means most builds don’t work? To get the Hidden Arcana achievement where you don’t transfer a buff, I unset all trait points and unequipped most of my gear to ensure I wouldn’t get any buffs on myself. Still managed to get the achievement on my first try.
I think the “you can’t actually use most of them to play the game” line is total BS.
You don’t have more exciting things to wonder about?
I bet the OP is a blast at parties.
Don’t know if anyone’s ask yet, but OP, can I have your stuff?
Sounds great but very unlikely by current administration.
Thanks, Obama.
Doesn’t the cook in Hidden Arcana say that there are no culinary uses of bloodstone dust?
Yeah, I can see the timing being an issue.
What I’ve tried for the past couple of days is as soon as I get to work (before anyone else shows up), I log in and cycle through all of my alts. They’re all representing my guild. This is done at pretty much the same time each day.
For each day I’ve tried this, I’ve gotten influence from logging in my alts, but the most I’ve gotten is 30, even though I’m going through 7 characters. I’d like to try to understand why I don’t get the 50 the wiki says I should.
Thanks, that’s really helpful. The last edit on that page regarding attendance was in Dec 2013 – nearly a year ago. I’m wondering if in that time people have learned more and simply haven’t updated the wiki.
I was hoping someone could clarify what needs to be done to get influence for logging in. I have all my alts in a guild but I don’t always get influence for cycling through them.
Do I need to switch zones with each one? Kill a mob? Does anyone know what constitutes “logging in?”
Just get done reading 50 Shades of Grey?
Best suggestion ever.
I thought I was accidentally on the WOW forums when I was reading that…
And while we’re at it, make Skritt playable
^^^^This, a million times over.
If a game is fun and you want to play it, then play it. If not, then don’t.
…Or just make posts on that game’s forums.
I say whenever you down a Charr in PVP/WVW, you have the option to force it to be your mount.
Can’t the containers like Mournsword drop anywhere?
Agreed. Livia gets top marks, too.
Mmmm… giant Jora…
Sounds like you should just stick the the iOS game(s) you mentioned.
Halloween 2012 had a few good ones.
Emissary of the Mad King
Master CarverBut after that, they got weak.
I don’t know; I’m kind of a fan of Crabgrabber.
I guess I shouldn’t have expected a thread like this to take too long to devolve into grammar nonsense.
I got Zap from a crazed karka.
You know you’re in trouble when the OP starts with " I won’t make this too long… but…"
I can understand from where different people are coming. That doesn’t mean that I agree, but I can understand. I think the core of this thread is pretty simple.
The OP’s topic title posed the following question:
“Collectors Edition supports getting anything? [sic]”
The in-game email from Anet, in part, reads:
“Because you purchased gems through our Gem Store or via a Guild Wars 2 Gem Card between the launch of Guild Wars 2 and June 9, 2013, please enjoy the attached gift from ArenaNet.”
From this, the answer to the OP’s question is no.
I was told that Evon Gnashblade will only give you the Sclerite skin merchant interface if you actually have a ticket on hand.
And before the Pajero there was the Chevy Nova.
Urban legend.
The Southsun vendor himself will probably be around for 2 weeks after the event ends. That seems to be the general timeframe for them based on prior events.
However, Evon Gnashblade inside of the Black Lion Trading Post in Lion’s Arch will let you turn in Sclerite claim tickets along with every other claim ticket from past events (even as far back as Wintersday tickets) and he’s permanent. He’s pretty much the “backup” for every event-based weapon ticket, so that those who don’t trade right away will always be able to get their weapons.
So no need to worry about not being able to get your weapon. You’ll always be able to redeem your ticket.
I wasn’t aware of that; that’s great information to have. Thanks much!
Apologies if this has been asked before, but will the merchant who trades sclerite tickets for skins at Pearl Isle be sticking around after the event?
I’m having a hard time deciding which skin to get and would like to know if I can put that decision off or if I need to force myself to pick one.
You get to meet Zommoros in person.
Having to try a few times and figure out something on my own? Unacceptable!
Expected response. If there were some inkling of what I was supposed to be doing, and I failed to do it (maybe I catch on too late or whatever), I’m fine with that. This, like much content I’ve seen added to the game, goes completely unexplained. Game without a rulebook is and always will be fail.

Talking to Inspector Kiel at entrance
Watch yourself; Canach’s an expert at guerilla warfare. He’s also been handling the stimulants he used on the animals, so he may shrug off most attacks. Fortunately we have an edge in this assault.
Talk more option (tango.png) What edge do you mean?
Levvi’s figured out how to detect and handle the traps he’s set for us. Take one of these mine detectors she’s improvised.
Talk more option (tango.png) How does the mine detector device work?
Same as “How do I use one of these mine detector devices?” below.
Talk more option (tango.png) How do I use one of these mine detector devices?
Use the scanning mode to locate mines, then disarm them with a choice of Canach’s three arming frequencies, one for each type of trap. Using the wrong frequency will detonate a mine, so be careful.
Talk more option (tango.png) Got it, I hope.
Talk end option (tango.png) I’ve got this. Let me at him.

I think that was inkling enough for me to figure it out on my own.
Having to try a few times and figure out something on my own? Unacceptable!
They totally went the wrong way with this. For example, in the OP, the 115 power should’ve been replaced with 115 lines of 1 power.
personally I think the drop rates need to be lower. The price is dropping fast.
Players like you should bite your tongue.. I need those for my crafting and I sure in the hell aren’t buying them off of the Trading Post to line your kitten pockets.
Players like you should bite your tongue. I need to line my pockets and I sure in the hell aren’t worried about your crafting.
Player like you should bite your tongue . I need to learn how to flip items , and i sure as hell aint worried about you two’s concerns.
Doesn’t all that tongue-biting hurt?
I think you should take it to the next level.
If you die in-game, then you die in real life. Just think how careful we would all be! I would spend the game in Lion’s Arch, maybe discover points that have no altitude, and that would be about it.
It would be awesome!
This would really incentivize RPing for me.
Why not just delete your character when you die?
And honestly…
Just the thought makes me jisz.
If that’s the case, I’d think about getting out more.

How could you have 2 of the shiniest shiny? Which one is the shiniest?
You just blew my mind.
I hope it stays around for a while after the event, it has been pretty fun!
As the renowned Sylvari psychologist, Sigmund Frond, had said, “sometimes a Karka is just a Karka.”
I know at least one creature artist who spent too much time with Georgia O’Keeffe in art school.
These comments both made me laugh. An internet for each of you!
