Should each Halloween Daily count for Meta?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

There’s still hope! I never touched the Prince instance (I might head for it if I feel like it, but I did it and its achieves last year) but I got the meta by spending time in the Labyrinth and doing all the daily task options. Not even that much time in the maze, an hour or two a day if that. I think I got maybe 5 or 6 of the event achieves and filled out the rest with dailies? Don’t give up, you can do it if you push just a little.

Heh, that’s funny, I’m doing the reverse.

I never did Inquisition yet this year, and that’s a daily, so I did that. I did the two story steps (with and without the Candy Corn pet from last year). Also noticed I was getting counts for the daily 40 in there, ‘plus’ they count towards the monthly dungeons!

So I’m going to do that 7 more times.

That will put me 1 short though, so I might have to do the shut the doors or kill one of the big things or something, unless another unique daily step shows up that I haven’t done yet. :\

Should each Halloween Daily count for Meta?

I thought completing ‘the holiday daily’ each day (any 3 things) counted as 1 towards the meta. So, if you wanted to, you could just do the dailies every day for 12 days and nothing else and get the meta.

That messes things up, I guess I’m not going to get finished this year.

Thanks.

I should have more than 7/12 at this point, something seems off. I was on track to finish by Friday, doing nothing but a holiday daily each morning, and finishing carving pumpkins (meta, not daily) and opening bags (meta, not daily).

I finished the meta pumpkin carving and meta opening bags today, and by my counts, I suspect those are the two that didn’t count?

If we start going towards this new feature that everyone can pick how their characters behave, it will take another 2 years before we see anything, if we ever see anything.

Why it takes them so long to do something is an entirely different problem.

But to be fair, they should have never taken away what we had originally and replaced it. The original developers had a vision of how things should look, and many of us enjoyed that since release. Put it back until you can add them back as character customizations.

I found the origin thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/lwd/Default-Character-Animations-Spoil-It-All

It’s so annoying that a handful of people got these removed for everyone else. If they’d removed them and then fixed them immediately, sure. But they removed them and now there’s no ETA on when they’ll be back in? I don’t understand why this was a high enough priority to remove or tamper with in the first place.

I understand completely why all of this is happening. I’m also fine that it is happening, and people are being heard, and there is an effort to make changes where appropriate.

What I’m saddened by is the nature of the change has to be one of complete intolerance. If someone doesn’t like the way someone runs, or, a pair of shorts that we were given a long time ago, or, character animations, that’s fine, there’s no reason to make up a story about immersion breaking cinematics. Just say why, that’s the first thing.

Now, having said that, why not design a change that includes what everyone wants? If you don’t want your character to behave like that, fine, pick this idle animation and running pack for your character. If you miss the old ones, pick the originally designed running and idle animation pack.

If this is about being sad because now that your character behaves as you see fit, you still see my character behaving differently and that makes you sad, then add a setting that says “View all other animations the way I have mine set”, or whatever it would be called.

If that isn’t enough, and simply ‘knowing’ that there is an option out there for me to pick the original idle animations and running animation and that makes you sad, then, I give up. I’d be sorry that you feel that depriving me of those choices is the only victory, rather than finding solutions that everyone can live with. I’d fine it down right hypocritical.

Soooo sorry! I asked about this and forgot to post!

Some time ago, it was noticed and reported as a “bug” that during cinematics, the “fidget” animations continued. So you’re seeing this exciting story bit about a dragon attack and, behind the scenes, your character is yawning and toeing the sand. It just didn’t fit.

So the animations were temporarily removed to be worked on and reincorporated in a way that allowed them to perform normally in the game but to stop (or maybe change) during cinematics. But getting to a place where the animations could be configured on a more fine-grained basis took more time than anticipated.

From what I understand, the team has the tools to reconfigure and re-enable the animations, but the team lead told me that naturally they’ll need to figure out when someone (or maybe more than one person) can be assigned the task. As it turns out, each animation bit needs to be reconfigured individually.

TL;dr: This change is coming, as soon as it can be scheduled and prioritized. Naturally, some matters that are higher on the priority list but this project will be scheduled as appropriate.

What took so long was someone crafting the story about how it didn’t fit with the cinematics. It’s about one thing, and one thing alone, and I’m saddened that the only solution that anyone can thing of is one of intolerance and one that isn’t more inclusive and about choices and options.

How about instead of removing something that is there and throwing it away entirely, something many of us have enjoyed since the beginning of the game (and this applies to the original running animation as well), ‘adding’ options that in some people’s opinion will better fit with the cinematic or whatever narrative the lawyers feel like conjuring up, and then making them character configuration options (like your choice of hair, eye color, body type, etc), and add them to the makeover kit?

That way, if the idle animations as originally developed don’t seem right to you in the cinematic, you can choose not to have those animations. If it doesn’t seem right that your character runs as was originally developed then you can choose the newer animation.

1. Everyone has their choice.
2. Something new you can add to the cash shop (imagine a skipping Asuran!) for us to buy.
3. No one is left out.

Otherwise, it’s about one thing: intolerance.

Phew! I was very upset ‘cause I couldn’t buy it right away, but now I’m glad I didn’t waste my money

I just bought it. I’m a little sad, though my intention was to mostly just use it with my relatively new Necromancer and dye it all black, so not as much of an impact. But, it will never be white.

Guess this is another cutting corner solution to save time and money and charge the same, like the single piece outfit system and new pets that don’t swim.

What happens to me is they dyes applies to the 4 channels and remains the same as I change outfits. It doesn’t remember what I picked for each outfit. One time it reverted a costume color to original, but that seemed like an isolated incident.

Thank you though. That’s a little bit of a bummer, but I guess I’ll just need to not use it so much, or something. Just bought the new dress.

Is it supposed to work like that?

They’re too busy making things to sell at the gem store.

Actually, I’ve suggested they can accomplish both.

The old running animation? Idle animations? Make them something you can ‘choose’ for yourself and your own characters, and people that don’t like them can ‘choose’ what best fits their characters, and everyone is happy. Make them accessible with a full make over kit. Create more types (limping walk, other idle animations, emote packs).

Unless, it’s solving a problem by ‘not’ allowing some of us to have the choices and options we want? I’m confused as why the pendulum would need to swing like that, resulting in a ‘new’ intolerance, rather than stabilizing it and providing choices and options for everyone?

Guess the planet is telling me I’m no longer welcome. May have to take it up on that offer.

The more they drag out the fix, the more i tend to believe it was intentionally removed.

I’m sure it was, as was the running animation changed nearly a year ago.

I’d just like an honest Papa John- or Hobby Lobby-esque statement so the why part is perfectly clear, and then each of us can choose how to proceed from there.

I find this lack of communication far more disturbing and disrespectful than the nickel and dime “what direction is the game going” communication that probably a lot more people want. What someone does with their game is easy. If I’m not having fun any more, then I leave.

Core corporate beliefs? Those are much bigger than fun.

anet can you stop making Outfit

notebene.3190

I’ll say it straight up.

I’d spend 2100 gems for that hood alone. I’m not spending 700 on a crappy-looking hoof-man-thing.

I paid more than 700 buying individual pieces to make (and use frequently, even running around in the world) an outfit that I enjoyed. I never understood this change. They explained it with a lot of technical poo poo, but at the end of the day, it wasn’t outside of technical ability in general, just the technical ability of the remaining live team related to how much people in charge were willing to spend to let them do it.

And that’s sad, because that is the “action speaks louder than words” of the whole thing. Or in this case, lack of any words.

I’ve tried to cut back dramatically on my gem spending. I think I’ve been mostly successful. It’s the only method I have of voting, but there are still some useful functional things I buy from time to time.

Thankfully, there are a very small handful of old armor pieces to mix and match for at least light and medium armor (though, in the latter case, I had to buy 3 sets from the store). Never did get anything ‘super’ great for heavy.

I bought one outfit post ‘town clothes’. The pirate outfit. With the hat hidden, it makes for a decent enough set of clothes to use while leveling. I bought one pre-outfit, but it was made up of multiple pieces, the original witch outfit, the boots of which went with 2 other pieces to make my favorite outfit, which I’d love to be using in my wardrobe today.

Probably the saddest thing is that I’m not smart enough to leave, and I think they count on that.

It actually goes nicely with this thread , along with questions about why they had to change the running animation. It was fine, and if there were complaints about it, they were all handled very quietly, as I don’t recall any 900 page screed (like the kind they usually allow to fester because they choose not to answer questions which have answers) asking for a change.

And the clothing system too, which while mostly born out of an effort to reduce their costs while charging us more, seemed to have conveniently left out certain types of clothes. Even beyond the types of clothes, that whole thing was sad, and still the biggest sore spot for me.

But now, I guess, the excuse is, "Well, if we say anything, no one will like what we will say, so we’ll just let you all create 900 page screeds and let it devolve into yelling and personal attacks.

It’s hard not to look at all the pieces, and not know what it’s about. But I really don’t understand it. The same people will fight for the rights of all sorts of people (which is awesome), but then when it comes to this, it’s not about choices and options. It’s not about having something else because they don’t like the way it looks. It has to be that ‘no one’ can have that.

I can understand and respect why someone might not want their character to look a certain way, and fully respect introducing choices and options to make it so they have other options. I don’t understand telling someone else they can’t let their character look or behave a certain way. They could have solved these things in other ways. While the clothing change should have never been done, idle and running animations could have been turned into something you choose for your character, just like a hair style, as one example. Might have even been another cash opportunity, making interesting running animations for different races (skipping, limps, etc) that would encourage full make over kit purchases from time to time.

But their answer was to go with intolerance.

Yes, I would like to know why. And not something made up, the truth. I’d like to know what they believe in, as a company, so I can make choices for myself. I would be sad to go, but I think I have a right to know what the new live team (because clearly the original developers and the team on the job the first 6 months or so had very different values) believes in with respect to this. If these were all little changes they hoped no one would notice (idle animation; running animation; “oh, some of those clothing layers are super hard because…um…flux capicitors!”), because the only way they know how to answer wherever the criticism is to swing the pendulum of intolerance rather than providing choices and options for everyone to make characters as they see fit, then to me, that’s not really much better than the Papa John’s or Hobby Lobby’s of the world, and I’ll see myself out.

I swear I saw someone post on this, and it’s probably 40 pages down by now, and they’re to cheap to fix the searching ability on their home grown site (which they are apparently really proud of, but which works like kitten droppings, and there are plenty of wonderful, canned forum systems out there these days to use, one of my favorites being the one MH uses, but I digress), and I’m too lazy to use double-secret ‘site:’ commands and elipses and plus-double-minus-bracket-bracket-NEAR-minus commands in Google, so I’ll make my own.

1. Brought character in game that I haven’t played since 9/9.
2. Character was wearing outfit, nicely colored.
3. Logged out.
4. Outfit colors all reset to default.

Not getting credit for Champion Slayer

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Posted by: notebene.3190

notebene.3190

This is because of a different issue where it seems there is a cap of how many players can actually get kill credit from a mob when an excessive amount of players are attacking it. You see this quite often with mega-bosses like the Karka Queen. You can deal enough damage to it to get gold credit for the event (and you’ll get the bonus chest and ground chest), but you won’t actually get XP from the boss itself, and getting that XP is the requirement for getting corpse loot (including the Champ bag) from them.

I’ve theorized this before as well. There is a ‘tag cap’, if you will, and for sake of argument, let’s say it’s 30. And you come across Awesome Boss and 30 level 1 characters are all hitting it. AB doesn’t hit very hard, so they are all still alive, and they’ve been fighting it for an hour and only have it down 10%. You come along, the 31st person, and help them finish off that last 90% in 20 seconds. You get nothing, and like it.

Not sure if the cap was an over sight or had some sadistic reasoning behind it, but it doesn’t make much sense. It’s the root cause of why you hit a champion and do at least enough damage that would warrant a blue bag but get nothing.

Maybe I’m on the rock by SB and it moves me to the left off the rock into the swamp.

My favorite is “Meddler’s Waypoint” in Cursed Shore. There is a short wall behind the skill point fight. I usually log out on the rocks on the other side, but after the patch, it kept ‘knocking me off’ down lower. This last time, I logged out standing ‘on’ the short wall, and now I’m ‘in’ the short wall, and can’t get out! I’m cheap, and hate spending money on way points, on principle, so I tried going to WvW and then logging out and back in to see if it would move me, and I’m still stuck.

So, there you go.

Raids are coming to GW2!

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: notebene.3190

notebene.3190

Because the last game to focus on raids is doing great… oh wait!

Well at least the big guilds are going strong… oh wait!

OK, nvm.

Anyhow, if they introduce raids I will leave this game. I can’t event do teq or the wurm because people are beyond stupid so more “sorry, you can do this unless you find 100 players with an IQ above 0” is a total nope for me.

You shouldn’t feel forced to do either Teq or Wurm and if so. Maybe you should take a break from the game. Raids will not affect you at all if you do not make them do so. Just stay away from them when they arrive to the game and do what you’ve always done.

And open world raid is relying too much on individual skill while instanced raids in this game will most likely be better organized and eaiser to coordinate.

I wouldn’t put down my boot in the ground just yet. Wait and see what the future CDI has to offer before making the decision

ArenaNet has shown they are more than willing to “encourage” people to play content they don’t want to play by making it the only way, or a much more efficient way, of obtaining something. And they seem to take pleasure in doing it in regard to content over which there is a strong split between those that want/like something and those that don’t want/dislike something. If raids are implemented, it is almost certain that something desirable to someone who dislikes raids will require raiding to get.

That’s my biggest fear. Always seems like it’s about making Little America and not content for content sake. Starbelly Sneetches. Guess we’ll see.

With my luck, they’ll offer the old running animation, old shorts and a swimming dog exclusively in the raid.

Usually you get 100 badges from achievement point chests. If you use 50 of them at the karma merchant in WvW (which doesn’t involve WvW, just traveling to that outpost for free), you can buy a drop of liquid karma. I think it costs two laurels two, but it will give you rank up chests which are pretty cool, and up your WvW level if you ever want to get a legendary.

Thanks (everyone).

When you say you get them from Achievement Point chests, does that mean the daily chests you get for doing 5? Or the monthly chest?

I use to WvW, and still have badges, but realize looking at my count now, after maybe 8 months ago buying a full set of armor for a character, and finally making Bifrost a few months back after working on it for 2 years (yay!), I still have ‘way’ more badges then I think I should, so they are coming from somewhere.

Liquid karma it is. After buying my legendary and not needing the daily infusion of T6 mats so much, I don’t really spend my laurels on anything, so that’s perfect.

And I just now realized the new monthlies started, which is fun because I like doing the 12 puzzles out of about 14-15 easy puzzles I picked out.

Thanks again.

That’s too bad. I like having as many of those as I can get.

I went to ‘tag’ my dailies so the ones I’m going to do are the only ones showing, as I do each morning. I’m tagging along at the usual suspects, I see I’ll need some Shiverpeaks kills today, maybe I’ll spend some time doing some map completion with my Mesmer in Wayfarer for that. See there’s a dungeon story, probably won’t do that, too much anxiety for me. Guess this will be a ‘7’ day instead of an ‘8’ day.

Close the window, that’s odd? I thought the tracker showed 6, I don’t see the ‘show more’? I must have missed one. Go back in, look again, nope, picked everything I’d pick, still 6.

Three WvWs. Oh. :|

Sure, I suppose if WvW folks would like more things to do, that’s great, but I’m not really following the logic as to why ‘The Dailies’ must be a finite pie? So, you throw in a WvW, awesome! More choices! Why did I then have to ‘lose’ a choice?

I remember when there were upwards of ‘10’ dailies I could do each day. That was great. Didn’t have to do them, no one was forcing me, but I liked them.

Is it some sort of obsessive compulsive thing where you couldn’t stand to see an odd number of boxes? Add another one! Add another WvW one to have 4! I wouldn’t do it, but at least you wouldn’t take one away from me. Add a PvP one, then they’d have 3 too, and I’d still have my ‘8’ (‘7’ when there’s a dungeon or fractal).

Always with the taking.

Champion bags are fine, they just need to govern where and when they drop a little bit better.

They have the tool, they have an ability to flag a Champion as not having a bag, yet still spawn it to provide extra challenge when required. We see it at Claw.

Now, if the live team that’s been in place after, say, the first 14 months of the game doesn’t know how to do that, no documentation or code comments, well that’s a whole other issue.

When you use an under water ability that jets you away from a mob now, instead of acting on whatever plane you are on, it seems to want to push you towards the surface, even if the surface is not directly 180 degrees from the mob you used the ability on. It didn’t use to do that.

No contest: my Dragon Emblem T-Shirt won as a prize during Pink Day in LA. (An in-game item that is a T-Shirt with the GW2 Dragon Logo on it). It garnered more attention than a Legendary Weapon, and was far more rare. Now it is a horribly matched full set of clothing in TONIC form that embarrasses me to wear (it has been paired with bright red boots now). If they would at least turn those Tonics into Outfits, then I could salvage something of it with a little dye.

I miss the shorts and sleeveless hoodie and witches boots I had and could dye as an outfit. I think when they took those away is when I threw away the cap and sent all the old clothes back in return for gems. It wouldn’t have been terribly hard to turn some of these into outfits. But then there’s the whole healthy and appropriate comments that still linger. Oh well. So much for choices and options.

I would like a real time data log that shows me all the damage done, dps, total damage, amount of deaths etc in my speed clears.

It would be nice to have something like Recount so i can see who isn’t pulling their weight. Can’t stand leechers who get loot and gold off of others hard work and abilities.

It of course should be opional to toggle on or off, that way casuals won’t feel under pressure, but more determined palyers could use the data to improve their builds?

First, that’s mighty white a ya.

Second, if it was optional (which, if they even consider this, I would hope it would be, not that it would matter much to me, I’m always clear when joining fractals to build my mawdrey, for example, that I’m not very good at that content, and always join level 1, so expectations are hopefully where they should be), then how would it solve your problem if the ‘leechers’ optionally turn their’s off? Or, would that be a criteria of someone joining you, that they had to turn it on so you could put stars on bellies of the ‘haves’ and ‘soon to haves’? I guess I can live with that, that also helps me identify you, as I’m also not interested in playing with people that derive their success not by what they accomplish, but by what they have that others can’t have.

Which makes us scratch our heads and say, “Maybe GW2 is not the game for you?”

It’s a fallacy. People are assuming that any one of those features would turn GW2 into a insert other MMO here-clone. There isn’t much to support that.

GW2 has our unique characters. It has a unique combat system and a unique world. We can not get that by just simply going off to another game. Nor will that other game’s ideas necessarily make GW2 a substitute or clone for itself if those ideas were implemented.

Therefore the “go play another game” responses are just as invalid as this common answer in other threads:

Q: My game music won’t work.
A: Doesn’t matter to me, I turn it off and listen to my own music.

Offering (and I use the word lightly) an alternative only works if it can truly be used by the asker. In other words: Don’t tell a man who wants red sand under his house to go live on Mars.
It just isn’t going to work out for him.

I wasn’t trying to say anything about clones. I was saying that many of us, myself included, enjoy this game specifically because they designed it ‘without’ many of those features. Granted, some small things here or there may be completely benign, and that’s fine. I’m just saying, and not in all cases, that a response of “maybe this game isn’t for you” is warranted, when someone asks for things that seem to completely go against the grain.

By your same analogy, you are saying that a man should be entitled to have the red sand under his house even though he knew there would be no red sand because no one wanted red sand, and everyone who moved into the neighborhood 10 years ago didn’t want red sand. He should be allowed to have red sand, and you are telling everyone else in the neighborhood that didn’t want to see red sand in the neighborhood that the onus is now on them to leave? When the moved in specifically because there was no red sand?

And taking it ‘out’ of design by committee, many of us moved in because we knew the association would never put red sand in, even if 6 out of the 10 people that lived there asked for red sand, because they specifically stated that they were never going to have red sand there. Now, they’d be happy to listen to suggestions for what sorts of things we’d all like in the pool area, but talking about red sand is ‘right out’, thus proceeding to 3.

There are lots of things to ask for in the game that are really minor that wouldn’t impact what drew many of the rest of us here. Even something like mounts doesn’t bother me. Houses? Sounds fun. Fishing? Sure.

But you start getting into L33t D00dz Pew Pew KeK Kek Rekt GG rofl type changes, well, then maybe GW2 is not the game for you.

Ooh! I’d make Living Story a musical! Just imagine…

  • Kasmeer singing to Marjory, ‘I Put a Mez on You’.
  • Marjory doesn’t sing but she dances to music that sounds remarkably similar to the theme from the 60s TV show ‘Bewitched’.
  • Braham singing, ‘Norn to be Wild’.
  • Taimi singing ‘The Sound of Science’.
  • Rox, of course, would sing ‘Behind Charr Eyes’.

Wait a minute…

…this would be awesome.

It is an acceptable answer to people that are asking for things that, if they came to fruition, would change the game such that people who enjoy what it is now would no longer enjoy it.

Trinity, corpse runs, gear grind, raids, instanced hard-core content rewarded disproportionately to other game play, 17,000 skills and abilities, 14 hot bars so you 4 RazorNagaGabbaGabbaHey devices to play, only works with 6 monitors, no solo content, no story, no quests, no hearts, no casuals, no wallys.

Other folks make those games.

Which, makes us wonder why some folks don’t go play those.

Which makes us scratch our heads and say, “Maybe GW2 is not the game for you?”

Ummm… Phase one champs drop no loot so that part is just wrong…

Phase 2 the champs need to be killed or they insta gib the golems making the event fail. Additionally only 3 of the 5 types of champs drop loot in phase 2.

The champs that drop loot that I’ve seen in P1 (don’t know anything about P2, I concentrate on the job(s) I’ve elected to do during that phase and ignore the champs, unless someone drags them down over my head, which is always pleasant) are the ones that spawn during the 5th crystal. If any spawn after that during P1, I don’t think those have bags.

I love the concept. I’d love to see a staff that when sheathed is a very, very small glass shard, which then grows into a staff.

Also, it would be nice to hide sheathed weapons altogether. Except, of course, in PvP, because it’s not what the founding fathers would have wanted, or something like that.

WoW: “Mankrik’s Wife”

LotRO: Q – “Where is the bat cave?” A – “Under Wayne Manor”

Yes, it’s a world event. That is what is going on here. You know this. It’s not a question. You didn’t need to ask it. In fact, you go out of your way to use ‘rekt’ instead of ‘wrecked’, saving an entire 3 key strokes. Yet somehow, “What is going on here?” was totally worth it.

The whole battle agaisnt jormage deserves a complete redesign, like Tequatl got it, together with its own new Achievement Set and unique rewards of its own weapon set or armor equipment, like Tequatl/Triple Terror got them.

the complete battle agaisnt Jormags claw is so incredibly boring and uncreative/unfun, especially the wall phases, which are just totally lame, frustrating and stupid when you get like feared away 3 times in a freaking row within a matter of a few seconds, just to get pushed away an half eternity by one of his follow up wave attacks when ypou try to find finally your spot somewhere from where you can attack safely the wall without sufferign permanently a too strong permanent health degen from jormags frosty aura that quickly becomes very deathly and can’t be removed…

Once we would be finally so far, that Anet would go and redesign the whole jomags claw battle i nthe same way, how they redesigned Tequatl through the help of the living story to give an explanation, why that change happened or how

If you are bored, and they agree, I think they ought to add more things you’d be interested in, like that triple wurm thing, or whatever it’s called.

While some mechanic and medium difficulty changes are fine, there’s no reason they need to ‘take’ content away from people that find content at that level fun and replace it with crazy hard content.

You could then skip Claw and go to Teq, Triple Wurm, and the new L33t D00dz dragon without impacting those of us who enjoy Claw.

I actually had a great Claw this morning at 7:30 am P[S/D]T. There weren’t many of us, and we managed to finish it in a reasonable amount of time and it was rather enjoyable.

You can use the mouse scroll to rise and lower the numbers if you have cursor in the box of said number, I don’t need the arrows anymore

Woah, really? Thanks, I’ll go try that!

Edit: OK, that’s pretty convenient.

Defaulting to max on sell, seems a bit more speedy, too.

Wish those up/down arrows on the currencies were a ‘little’ bigger, but not a big deal. Figuratively and literally.

I’m not sure how I got one, but somewhere along the way, I got an extra Chaos Orb. I have my Mawdrey done, and I’m not really sure how I got it.

Is there any reason to hang on to that duplicate?

Announce GW3

/15char

No, just NOOOOO. That would be like, what a phone app or something right? Because seriously, you can’t get any more dumbed down than this…

Well, I’m glad you asked! GW3 will take everything you loved about GW2 , but we found GW2 too confusing in general. We drastically decreased the amount of skills , and we made PvP even more simple by addig only one PvP mode with only one map , deathsmatch ,this way casuals could get into it easier.

Also I realized there are far more people who play far less than actual gamers , so GW3 wont be for gamers at all, it is as casual as possible. We made it a lot like popular games like facebook games. Also we made combat more simple , so now it will be possible to play GW3 on PS4, XBOX1 and even on Wii U!

GW3 will be pegi 3.

Did Anet shoot themselves in the foot?

Two things, and both assume I accept your general classifications, which I don’t, but I guess for sake of argument, I’ll play along.

First, I’m probably a 2, or closest to 2. That’s what I felt reading along, that if these are the only two choices. Then I got to the conclusion part and felt it was backasswards. As someone that loves leveling, if it takes me longer to enjoy that experience, then I’m excited about it. I’m actually enjoying the changes, minus some things here and there that they are slowly ironing out.

Second, and we’ll keep with your “doesn’t make sense to do things that hurt gem shop sales” theme, if it’s the 2nd group of lolly-gagging, casual, shiny visual loving folks that spend all the money, why would they take things away like running animations, khakis, and other mix and match outfits that we dearly love to make America and NASCAR healthy and appropriate?

At any rate, the first imaginary group should be happy because they still aren’t spending money in the gem store and are still leveling up character by sitting around WvW and EotM, so what has changed for them?
