is it tradeable?
I wanna see some skins before I decide to level up my alt to be able to craft those weaps. :P
I only have 2 keys! =(( I’m sooo not gonna get anything now =/
nope. the “oh! it looks pretty cool!” is the only reason to get it. It doesn’t even look cool imo, well the t3 medium asura male one, that is. I even prefer the t2 one, my only apprehension is if the t2 glows at night as well,, or if the t3 glows at all.
then no one would bother getting the orb.The thing is, no one really tries to win wvw for the pve of the server. It’s merely an added bonus imo. People win/fight in wvw because it’s fun, and a new experience for most people.
Tarnished Coast looking for a few more for our late night crew!

Sometimes its a bit difficult to get organized without the blue dorito (or sometimes the overabundance of blue doritos). Just a few hours ago, we went from around 550-600 to about 350 losing majority of our hold in Eternal BG, mostly due to disorganization and lack of a clear leader. Eventually, we got back alot (Idk now, I’m out of the game already), but this jsut goes to show that despite the praise, tc still has a long way to go to be a top-tier server.
Shout out to Odinzu, I can’t wait to be part of the Odinzerg again!
refrain from using WPs. When entering a map, wp to the nearest wp available (hence, cheapest), and from there, walk towards your destination. It’ll take longer, but with every mob you kill along the way, and every DE you do, you get more money out of it. Also, gather gather gather every node you see, even if you don’t really need them, especially cooking coz alot of stuff there sell for a few silver.
i dont think so. I’m not sure where in the ToS they stated but iirc, they only wanted one client to run at one machine at any given time.
23g at the moment. But this doesn’t include all my liquid and non-liquid assets (exotic soulbounded armors/jewelries) as well as sunk costs (extra bank slots, private guild storage, etc).
My friend and I did this before. This is a rough estimation but Twilight will cost around 770g (assuming everything was bought, give or take a few gold for market fluctuation), quip is at around 550g and flameseeker is at around 600~ (due to price increase of The Chosen.)
can’t believe we’re speculating about when events will happen :|
wait till you get to around 30+
oh and guardians really have no health, like really they have the least bit of health compared to other classes (along with ele, which are probably gonna be worse of since they can only wear light armor, oh and thieves as well).
I’m not sure where I saw this but
Guardian/ele/thief – 10.8k hp (at lvl 80, base)
eng/ranger/mesmer – 14.something K hp
warrior/necro – 18k-something hp.
more or less. well you get the point. btw maybe you have lower level armor?
can they just use gmt configuration? It’s more understandable for the lot of us who are not in NA :|
any headless head?
Seems a bit underwhelming
just a question: does the t2 cultural armor also glow or does only the t3 glow? I looked at the asura medium one and i liked the t2 more than the t3.
7 badges on a lvl 80? :O The lowest I’ve gotten is 13, highest was 18. for lower levels (<10), i’ve gotten 2-4, for my lvl 11 i’ve gotten 4-6.
but yea it does scale with level, probably to prevent people from making alts and deleting them and doing them all day long. Imo much better to level all your toons up so you get more badges, and hope one day your server will dominate the map so you can do the puzzle in peace (or have a mesmer handy
)
might I recommend the server of real life? Honestly though, those things are not gonna go away. It’s even annoying at low level areas people are botting x.x and ALL servers have those problems, some more than others, so i guess that’s a good direction to check out. but if this is orr, i’m pretty sure you’ll be rather disappointed. =/
Indeed. I’m not in wvw often, but when I am, I can see TC players still fighting the good fight, even if we’re on the losing side. Curious about other servers too =P
I saw a few weeks ago a dancing guy in LA named “Hobo of Lions Arch”
made me giggle. Would’ve wanted to throw 1 copper into his hat for dancing, but he has no hat
my rule of thumb is: If the salvaged items cost more than the vendor price, salvage it. So this would theoretically apply only to white. I salvage all whites i can get (tip: use basic ones, i’ve gotten like 10 ori ores from basic ones, and it’s much cheaper), sell all blue and green, and salvage yellow (using yellow salvage kit, but ofc this is only for 70+ rare, to get me some ectos
)
tossing rares in MF is a waste unless it’s 4 of the same kind (4 rare swords, 4 rare shields, etc).
Note: you can drop blueprints to trade them.
how exactly? :O i dragged one out and it destroyed them =/
AC explo dungeon set also has power/tough/vit so that may be easier to complete than using karma points. plus, you never know when you’ll need that karma :P
the actual name of the underwater dragon is bubbles?? :O
off destroyer mobs i presume?
wait, how did he moved the legendary from asura to norn? Or did it before it was soulbounded?
jewelry is easy to get to 375, but becomes expensive from 375-400.
I’ve been having this for a day or two now. I’m perfectly fine in other areas, even in eternal bg map, but as soon as I step into the puzzle, as soon as I begin it, I get dc’d after 5 min. o.o anyone else getting this?
yep i agree. though if you really need some jewelries, just the mastercraft will do, like, say, for Magic find ones :P
There’s really no reason to put all your crafting on one char (especially coz of this 40s thing), than to put them on your alts. :|
yep. you can download the client after you log in to My Accounts part :P
For wvw? Wvw armor uses the same armor in the pve world so you might have to get better items in pve :p
I just use this option to make a personal guild for bank slots
but PS do afaik o.o
… no other class I have played compares to its ability to survive and damage at the same time.
YES! You took the words right out of my mouth. For the longest time I was rather jealous/annoyed at warriors and guardians with their unmitigating ability to be really really tanky. Often I would get higher toughness than them yet still die a bit faster. Then I realized that as an engineer, or a bombaneer, i can deal good amount of damage (I’d reckon much more than a mace guardian), or even if not good damage, decent AOE damage consistently and survive consistently (albeit alot of dodging and retreating), which led me to appreciate the class even more
How much vanilla is needed to go from 1-400 with the popular guides that all seem to use it? I found 5 in metrica and am debating farming and doing cooking myself or just having someone else make me food with what I find.
It’s expensive coz it’s used for the omnomberry bar which grants 30%MF and 40% inc gold from mobs that people use for farming. And doing dungeons often has boss that drop alot of silver (in ac alone final boss drop 15s. so +40% = 21s, and ofc the champion mobs drop 5s with becomes 9s).
and once people realize drop rate is low, or you don’t really need so much chests, prices will drop back down. Kudos to people who made a killing with these stuff. :P
How… can it show you they’re done when they’re not yet done? o.O If that’s the case, then do them o.o You know you finished borderlands when you get the rewards from them.
There’s a fine line between saying something is broken and needs to be fixed, and changing something to better suit the tastes of a person (or a group). For all we know, what you think they’re doing wrong, is exactly what they think they’re doing right. And it’s worse when some/alot of people agree.
and about bugs, all games have bugs, well especially online ones for some reason. It’ll take at least 6 months to iron out all the bugs imo, but despite the bugs, the game is still highly playable.
underpowered?? :O not at all! Though tbh, engineers really aren’t the kings of damage. They have ALOT of good utility skills/spells, they’re also very versatile. Don’t expect to do 100blades’ worth of damage though. One thing I like about engineers are their kits, bomb and grenade (and some people swear by flamethrower but I personally find it a bit clunky). AoE with lots of different conditions over and over and over again. Few classes can have consistent aoe damage (eles immediately come to mind).
blind is soooo underrated. I actually welcome thieves in dungeons coz of their ability to spam blind endlessly. I used to go dual kits of bombs and grenades because of my ability to have 3 aoe (sorta, pistol hits 3 targets) blinds on demand, with bomb having an actual duration (5 sec i think, i forgot) instead of grenades and pistol’s 1-blind-wonder. but still, it is really effective especially in taking down groups of mobs.
How do you guys get so much gold? :| I only get around 50s more or less per hour. Or do you sell all stuff you get, ori ores, ancient wood, ectos to get to 2g/hour? o.o
It would be sooooo kick kitten if they changed the beam that shoots out from purple to… black. or white (sunrise). Imagine a black ray of death… o.o
eh nvm i just typed in the code in game and saw it looks exactly like Ilya. Kinda weird tho coz one has more expensive materials than the other. But oh well =/ I do hope they fix the Wall of the Mists bug. Would love to have two purple glowing weapons (and add in a purple dye you get.. Barney aka the purple ranger
)

nice point squirrel about the skill. Although to be honest, I have no idea what “skill” exactly is, and how different is that from “learning the game”, especially with regards to dungeons.
I think some people really aren’t cut out for pvp, like me!
but all this talk about bunker-builds makes me wanna try out spvp sometime :P

darn it, idk how to quote :| anyways
“And yes, dungeon difficulty is subjective, but I think it’s pretty clear that there isn’t any content in PvE that remotely challenges a veteran player.”
I guess that’s the problem then. They did say they’re catering to more casual players than hardcore, so it’s not really surprising. I’m half-surprised/half-not-surprised that people have gotten legendary weapons in <2 months since release o.o I guess alot of people really needed that carrot o.o
maybe leaderboards for server-wide stuff? Like
Most time spent in WvW
Most Kills (I’m sure people will go gaga over this)
Most supply camps taken
Best friend of Dolyak (most assistance)
Most deaths in wvw from player kill (yea =P)
etc…
must only be server-wide tho, and this might help encourage a bit of rivalry in getting to the leaderboards, which in turn, increases attendance for wvw

I’ll just comment on a few things:
1. LFG – I would agree that it needs work, sorta like a status message that says what exactly you’re looking for. However, I think people are getting used to the spam /m method, and while sometimes it is a bit annoying, it’s a good thing that there’s really only 2 places to look for a group: LA and the map of your dungeon.
2. Char inspect – no, many times no. This will be similar to the gear score (or whatever it’s called) in many mmo like wow or dcuo, where the barrier to entry in dungeons are based on the gear you have. It also encourage elitism in dungeon groups. I’m glad in my server from my experience there’s little to no discrimination based on class/level, but adding this will really give it another layer to discriminate people.
3. Reward skill, not time – What exactly do you mean by skill, or rather, how does one effectively define what skill is? Imo, getting dungeon armor is the best way to display skill as even the easiest ones you’ll have to know how to time your dodges etc to be successful. But that’s where the problem or disparity lies in imo, some people are too good (pros, veterans, what have you) that they feel the dungeons pose no real challenge to them, where there are people on the other side of the spectrum who feel dungeons are too hard. Also, when you said best stuff, I assume you meant “best-looking”, as the “best stuff” you can easily get while spending <15g on TP.
4. Tooltip thing – Yes, for me it is also annoying not knowing how much exactly is added. Sometimes, they are quite clear (gain 90 toughness holding a shield), but sometimes, I think they are intentionally obscure to prevent players from min-maxing and focus more on the mechanics and interaction of the traits themselves. Kinda silly if you ask me though.
5. crafting – I agree I was surprised that crafting provided little economic benefit to me. However, when you realize how easy (relatively) it is to craft from 1-400, the barrier to entry is not much, and everyone and their grandmother can be crafting things. Imo, the only real reason to craft is so you can change your items automatically to crafted stuff (without the trouble of selling and bidding for a low offer on tp), and legendaries. Oh, and they were fun for the first 50-100 levels or so.
