The Scrapper is the herald of the return to basic combat roles. It is as boring as it was in the past when you ran a bruiser. That is, after all, the entire basis of the Scrapper.
Boring eh? Well the Scrapper is a bruiser and this may come as a surprise but the melee frontline hammer combat is actually very much appreciated by some people. I for one love it. I made an engi just because I can get that complete power bruiser look and feel now with the ironclad outfit and a hammer. Looks great, plays great and feels great.. and im not even talking about pvp.
" right guys, right builds, right food "
Forced content, forced anything really, is a turn off for some people. In any rpg I play there is my class, my build, my chosen play style. If it works well with others in a group scenario thats great. If it doesnt I’m more likely to skip whatever it is thats not working, than change my character. See, its in the name itself ‘role playing game’. I have a certain image of my character in my head. Requiring me to modify that in order to fit in somewhere is a huge intrusion in my personal (digital) space. Thats not to say I would not be open to learning new things. Its more of an aesthetic thing, here’s an example: I like playing a GS Reaper. GS Reaper doesnt work in pvp => I dont play pvp. That applies to any game mode really.
So, am i the only one?
I see Wars in PVP all the time and some even do pretty good! Shocker I know. People get bent way out of shape over ‘op this’ and ‘nerf/buff that’. What I’ve seen from pvp so far proves one thing. If you got skill and a decent team composition its doesnt matter what class you play – you are useful period
Wow a thread like this exists.
Condimancer needs a tone down, powermancer need to Rise
The necromancer class is only “op” when facing completely inexperienced players who have no idea what they are doing. This leads to the class being perceived as op and even more low skill players start using it which keeps the necro population high in pvp and in turn leads to a ton of forum posts hating on the “necro stacking”.
My own limited pvp experience in this game has proven beyond a doubt that you only need to play the class you deem too strong yourself and see how you fare vs people who actually know their game.
Necros/Reapers can be wiped out the moment they arrive on point with heavy cc or heavy direct damage. In turn they cant burst anyone down in 3 seconds from 1000 feet away like some other classes can and they need to build up lifeforce if they are to survive a longer fight.
While I played as a reaper there was this DH who kept killing me. I have an old guardian so I went to the mists, specced him for longbow and played a few games. Needless to say I sucked.
Bottom line, any new or simply bad player can see any other class including his own as overpowered if he doesnt know how to fight against it. I get that this thread is not another anti-necro thread btw, Im just fed up with the hate of late
Gravedigger has not only a graphic HUGE warmup… you can even hear it clearly above all game effect sounds. Its one of the worst skills Ive ever seen.
Might look nice on paper, but that huge swing and loud noise just scream for someone to dodge it…. quite literally tbh.
The only reason you can kill people with it atm, is that nobody expects it.The only good thing is the spreading blind pool, especially if you combine it with whirling finisher and bloodmagic. But thats for pve, and you can get a well for that also and take a “real” weapon like dagger/X instead of gs.
Sorry, but necro gs ranges somewhere below axe :/
You’re right. Even in the rare cases when I actually downed people with the GS it was mostly because I was playing with folks even greener than myself.
Thats the reality and I dont like it
I’d change the Soul Eater trait to fit those of us who want to be a pure melee deathknight bruiser.
Soul Eater:
- Recharge of GS skills redused by 10 %
- After each successful hit with a GS skill you gain a stack of Soul Siphon , a damage resistance buff. Duration 6 seconds, DR +5% , stacks up to 4 times
(edited by pepsis.5384)
I main a Gs Reaper and I love it, not because im godlike with it ( cause im not ) or because i do the best dps with it or whatever. No, I love it for the same reason anyone should like any class – because it fits my idea of a fun class. Deathknight ftw!
As for the op.. Id say thats just another troll nerf post
PS: My other classes are warrior and guardian and both have a place in my gaming heart for the same reasons. I mean look at this warrior, whats not to like
(edited by pepsis.5384)
Sure, a pure berserk power Reaper can potentially land a 10k+ crit gravedigger and finish you off with a 8k crit exec scythe but in the current state of the pvp game very few people stand around for gravedigger to land.
Please don’t use Necro GS.
But I really want to. No joke. Im one of those people with a vision for their character. Not exactly a true roleplayer who acts and speaks as if he is his character. But still, my vision for the reaper revolves around the greatsword, heck its the only reason I rolled a necro in the first place. So if I cant play my chosen weapon or build Im more likely to skip a game mode ( in this case pvp ) than to force myself into the condi scepter meta bs.
(edited by pepsis.5384)
When you say DPS do you include ability to burst someone down? Because if thats the case I dont agree with this:
DPS
S-Tier: revenant, mesmer
A-Tier: necromancer, thief
B-Tier: dragonhunter, warrior
I’ve men plenty of Dragonhunters who literally melt me in seconds regardless of my class from range and melee via traps etc. While Necros/Reapers while strong over time cant really burst kill me regardless of my class. Sure, a pure berserk power Reaper can potentially land a 10k+ crit gravedigger and finish you off with a 8k crit exec scythe but in the current state of the pvp game very few people stand around for gravedigger to land. Reapers dont have a reliable lock-burst combo ergo they cant reliably burst ergo I dont think they have better overall damage than dragonhunters
Also this is interesting:
" Necromancer
– Good vs. Literally every class in a 1v1, great AoE in team fight, busted class right now
– Bad vs. focus fire due to low stability access and few escapes
– Excels in 1v1 and 2v2 situations, can also team fight well due to AoE
– Have to use good positioning, make a wrong step and you’ll likely go down"
From your short necro summary I gather the class is potentially very strong and at the same time potentially very weak due to “one wrong step” and bye bye. So doesnt that mean the class is actually not as low skill as many have claimed and the really strong necros out there are actually really skilled players?
(edited by pepsis.5384)
I’ve finished the hot story, I’ve explored all hot maps to near completion, I’ve died like 5 times in total in the expansion since its release and only due to being too lazy to pay attention at a given moment….. and I still dont like HoT. I dont like the map design, I dont like the high mob density, I dont like the demise of the solo player and last but not least I hate the DS meta.
So, the content does not merit a replay with more characters as far as i’m concerned
Good Thieves can destroy Necros. If a Necro is on point, or on their own, a Thief can jump them, cause them to go into Reaper Shroud, wait for the Shroud to deactivate, then with no good defenses left, kill them quickly.
Yep, thats happened to my reaper plenty of times
Cobalt for my reaper but this does look sweet too
I’ve been stomped many times in exactly the same way, from the very start of the match. I play unranked in order to unlock reward tracks, in the time it took me to fully unlock 3 tracks I’ve had 1 even match. All the rest either my team wins overwhelmingly or loses horribly which is the more common outcome btw.
Is just a necro fest, spam chill spam chill , death shroud and game over. Teams running 3 necros, there is no way to clear all the condi bombs. The dev’s think this was a good idea?? We now have to play this for the rest of the season?? I"d rather sit this out and hope they fix it soon.. This is NOT fun for me!
You know why you see what you see? I mean you act like the necro class in its current form is something the necro players invented. Its not! Its a class like any other created and implemented by arenanet. So first, dont blame the players. Second, try this one for size, anytime I to go into pvp with the build and weapons I actually like I lose. And not only lose Im also useless. You see I happen to like the greatsword for a reaper but equipping it pretty much means Im limiting myself to only 1 weapon for like 90% of the time. I dont like the dagger, I dont like the axe, so there go pretty much all my power options. Whats left for me if I want to have some success in pvp? Bloody condis is what is left and that is what I use like it or not.
This season and meta is much worse than previous. Not enjoying it at all.
The season? Yes but not the meta dude. This meta is a lot better than last one. The last meta was about capping the first two points, then gg.
Conditions are way too strong.
They should nerf chill to its old use (slower cooldowns and runspeed), poison should not stack in intensity, torment should be deleted and confusion back to only do damage if you use skills.
And some classes can still tank godlike in 1v1
Um yeah, chill is indeed just slower cooldown and movement speed unless paired with a grandmaster reaper trait. So if they nerf Deatly Chill they would need to buff sth else in order to rebalance the reaper. Folks like you are fast to call nerfs without much consideration so are you as good with buffs ? What should they tune up if they tone deathly chill down?
I hear you. Cant tell how many times I failed to use an ability because I click it once and expect it to go off only to see it go on a semi cooldown because I or somebody else did something else. The elite shout is the worst culprit but consume conditions and staff marks are right up there with it as well. I guess it goes with the whole slow, lumbering loafer thing the devs envisioned for the necro.
I’ve seen videos of top necro players who literally pump the button to make sure the abiltiy goes off. Kinda stupid that we have to do that imo
Thanks for the input Holl. I gotta say its thanks to your video I got brave enough to try pvp with my greatsword reaper ( later I learnt its not all rainbows and butterflies ). And while my skill level is quite low (your point #6) and I spent most of the time losing, it is still very satisfying when I finally get to land that 10k+ gravedigger.
Thanks for the in-depth reply. Honestly I’ll probably never even reach good on your rank list, I dont play enough pvp to develop the needed skill and mindset + Im unfamiliar with the rest of the classes and their +/-. What little I do, I do it for armor skins. Still, spending the match as a punching bag aint nice so I do try to improve albeit little by little. My main problem is that I really want to play with a greatsword. I’ve seen Hollts’ berserk GS reaper video but I believe most of his success in that footage is not thanks to some secret power reaper formula but to the awesome team support he is getting and the lvl of his opponents. Of course he is also very skilled himself but I dont think even he can do as good in a random soloQ unranked match consistently. While soloQing I’ve had matches where people let me cleave them and kill them with big gravedigger crits and matches where people kite the kitten out of me and leave me helpless. And im getting more and more of the second kind which means only very low skill level people can be fought with the gs. That sucks imo, making the gs a pve weapon exclusively.
Anyway thanks again for the info
Would you consider your opponents in this video skilled players? When I face rangers on my reaper usually the first thing they do is knock me the hell back (ive not yet learnt to anticipate and dodge that shot). That reaper you fought was condi right? And yet you had the upper hand thruout the fight, i always lose to condi reapers on my power reaper ( but i also use a gs so thats probably why ). Anyway nice vid, thanks for sharing
PS: would you share your build ?
(edited by pepsis.5384)
Reaper is really really strong, one of the best spvp classes of the moment. But is still not OP.
But Why is so strong? Why ANet made it so strong? Why a lot of people say it’s OP?-Shroud? No. The Shroud grant new powerfull skills (of you use the reaper) and grant you estra survavibility, but is both the only defence and the best damage a necro have, a thing that make it too risky to be wasted and frequently is better die than waste all the LF to survive 5 seconds more under a focus. And if you have it full you’re a god among mere mortals, but if you start a fight with no LF you’re a mere mortal among gods. It’s not a thing that you can “fix” and is the main reason why ANet was never able to balance the Necromancer, expecially in spvp.
-Condition Damage? No. Is strong, condition damage is really good on a Reaper, but what’s the difference between a necro and a reaper? Why before the Trait Rework system there was no one using condi necro (unless for Dhuum Fire glory moment) and now is the only way to play it? Why the trait rework made conditions be in stack, making burn really strong and the ability of the necro to send back the conditions a really good way to burst an enemy with his damage. The necro was unable to inflict good condition damage, but all the other classes was. Then redirect conditions against them was a really good way to inflict good damage and be “immune” to they’re high damage. But now there’s no more all that condition builds and the condition damage is no more strongher than direct damage.
Is hard to belive, but the actual meta is a DIRECT DAMAGE META. Just look at the builds in the metabattle: Power shiro herald, power scrapper, Shatter chrono. Then there’s a bunker ele and only one condition class: the Reaper. Then there’s direct damage thief, trapper guardian, a direct damage bunker or dps druid, eventually a direct damage warrior (I really love that funny oneshot build), and again teh Reaper.
Seriously: where the hell did you see all that condition damage? There’s Only the Reaper that play as a condition build! (sometimes the mallyx reve, but the shiro is better).
Then the Reaper isn’t OP why use conditions, also why the only reason he can play condition damage is why can Also use Direct Damage (Mercenary have the same amount of direct damage as of condi, is more a Hybrid than a condition build) and why Chill can inflict a good damage, reducing the problem of the necro to inflict damage (if you strip away chill damage from a necro you’ll see his damage reduced by 25-33%). Then he can convert boons, that frequently don’t give to the necro damage but soft CC (cripple), weakness and vulnerability, with sometimes bleed, a stack of burn or a stack of poison, that frequently don’t mean a big increment of the damage output.-Survavibility? No. A reaper can be easy bursted down, expecially at the start of a match, when he have no LF. Just focus him and stomp. The reaper to survive is forced to CC the enemy and to kill him before be killed. Basicly in a common build the reaper have only a single escape button (the wurm) and then is totally without defence. If active the RS lose all his defence and is more easy to burst down and lose also his damage to survive a little longer (expecially in a a team fight situation).
In 1vs1 a good reaper can survive longer accumulating LF, starting with a full LF bar and using marks and eventually the spectral armor, but is still easy to burst down in a team fight why can’t protect himself.
Just Focus and Stomp. Then why is so “OP”?
The answer is: Why Counter the Boon Spam with Boon Corruption.
That’s the only reason why the reaper is so strong in that meta. The only one. Before the HoT the necro was the only classe able to kill eles and engis why countered they’re boon spam, making them weaker and focusing in direct damage, bursting them down, or reflecting the absurd Burn damage of the old cele ele build back to him.
Actually there’s elementalists, scrappers and revenants that spam boons all they time (expecially scrappers), and that make them a easy prey for a class that focus on the boon corruption.Th only reason why the reaper is “OP” is why finally is a good class, with a good condi and direct damage (without both direct or condi his damage is heavly reduced, why play at his best with both the damage at the same time, with a mercenary “hybrid” build). But is still weak if you talk about the survavibility, don’t have any. Have not mobility. Have not AoE damage out of RS (and in RS have only skill 4 and 5, to spam poison or chill). Can’t hold a point in solo as other classes can do. Can’t be sent to steal a point. The Reaper is “bad” as always, is only more focused on boon corruption, taking under control other classes like engi, ele and reve.
The reaper is strong why the other best classes/builds focu on Boon Spamming, making him strong just by a Counter ability and not why is so much strong by himself.
Then, another time, there’s NOT a Condi Damage Meta. There’s a CC Condi spam Meta, is totally Another thing!
There’s only a class in the game that can really play as condi and is the Necro. Then all the other conditions you suffer was immobilize, weakness, vulnerability, cripple, slow, some collateral bleed and eventually confision, but there’s really a low amount of Damaging Conditions in the game.If you look on you death screen during a match and see that a single condition inflicted you a insane amount of damage, then you’ll know that that condition is well balanced and not op why if it was OP it just needed to deal you the amount of your HP to kill you, not tree times more, just like a direct damage burst do.
Back in time, when Burn killed people with 80k of damage and everyone asked for a nerf, I was spamming on the form the same thing: Why a dps need only 20-25k of damage to kill you when a burn guardian need to spam 80k of burn (with also the direct damage to add) to kill you?
For the conditions on the reaper is the same think. more big is the numer, more time he needed to kill you.The only reason the Reaper is strong at the moment is why keep under control the condi spam, there’s no other reasons to have a reaper in team out of make him remove boons from the focused enemy, no other reasons. Not why have a good dps, not why inflict conditions, not why have survavility or movement (that don’t have), not why can hold a point all alone (why other classes can do it better, in a high level spvp match).
reaper is OP? NO. Totally NO.
Is the right class in the right situation to counter the meta? (boon spamming and direct damage) Yes, it is. But still keep his weakness and can be defeated by a good player and different classes (daredevil, dragonhunter, a good herald or scrapper that know when Block/Evade and when CC and attack)The reaper is balanced with the other classes, and even better, mantain a balance between the other classes, that is his main role in the ANet balance theory.
Thank you for this post. It really cleared some things for me. As it should be quite obvious from the things I wrote here I’m not exactly an experienced player. I dont know what other classes can do and I barely know what mine can do. All I know is I like playing a greatsword reaper and I die playing a gs reaper 90% of the time in pvp.
CC spam meta sounds about right because I do find my character unable to act/ interrupted most of the time when facing people who know what they are doing. And last but not least when I think about it, the necro is indeed the clast most commonly responsible for killing me over time with condi damage while others are more in the direct dmg department with 1 exception. I’ve been hit for 15k gunflame crits by berserkers followed by another 10k from volley consistently which is alot and from a great distance too. Basically a team with a gun berserker needs to just distract the enemy for some time while their serker picks them off one by one.
Enough already, its the condi meta that is out of hand. When supplementary mechanics like condi/boon application and boon stripping become the main way to conduct combat you should know sth is very wrong. I returned to gw2 after years away and made a new character one month before hot launch. A necro, I made it because of the greatsword addition to the a/r/s/e/n/a/l . I main a gs Reaper and I play some pvp for armor skins. When you folks say “nerf the class” please be specific cause I sure as hell dont feel op.
(edited by pepsis.5384)
Something about this thread smells bad
Oh this old thing? Sha’nt we all?
There is a butterfly messing up the fine skull display in your pic. Pls fix
Raids are content, content is precious, more content = better game. However the gw2 team has a habit of regularly implement and handle content in a suboptimal manner to say the least.
Seriously, just because there are 4 necros on that team doesnt automatically mean they will win.
a) You can outrotate them and
b) a lot of necro players are really bad. They dont understand that profession at all and just run in, smash buttons, go in shroud, press 5, press 3, press 4 and think everything should be dead. And if its minion masters… just pull pets around a corner, kill bloodfiend, kill necro, be done with it. AI is thank god stupid enough for this to work.
Understand the profesison? Hey I’ll be the first to admit I’m one of those necro players who are not good in pvp. I have zero clue to what other classes can do and what i must do to counter them and when. But let me tell you sth, I have eyes. I see all the winning necro players and they simply condi bomb you – does this mean they are good? Is that what the profession is all about? It shouldnt be. Arenanet gave us a greatsword and that is the weapon I want to play with, screw the condi meta, its unappealing, its not my style. I want to use my weapon of choice because this is above all a fantasy game in which I more or less roleplay. If I am denied something as basic as my weapon of choice because its not “meta” then screw the meta and screw pvp altogether.
Stack them classes…..
This makes me want to quit pvp with my necro or simply quit pvp altogether. I might do just that once I get my arah armor skin. Class stacking is major BS
Well some of us do see MMR/MM inbalances in matches. When you have to explain to players to range from the point with their LB instead of getting off the cap to stomp some one there’s a MMR issue, when you have to tell people to res you there’s a MMR issue, when you have to tell people to “You should have either res’d me, stomped, or focused the down’” there’s a MMR issue, when you have to tell people to stop going mid one at a time there’s an MMR issue, when you have to tell people to leave because it only takes one person to cap there’s an MMR issue, when you have to explain to people they’re doing something wrong because four of them are chasing one person around the map and have zero points capped there’s an MMR issue, when you know you have to carry your team to stand a chance at winning you know there’s an MMR issue.
If you’ve never experienced any of the above you are one of the lucky ones fortunate to fall through the cracks.
I’m new to pvp in gw2, started unranked recently in order to collect armor skins and I’m barely half way thru my first reward track. That being said resing someone is not a MMR issue, it’s an issue with common sense or lack thereof. I do however experience first hand the problems of matchmaking pretty much every night I play. Matches are rarely close, mosty they are extremely one-sided which is a clear sign of a match making problem. You can tell right away how things are gonna go when 3 or 4 of the enemy team condi and cc bomb you in the first second you meet. People of different skill level have no place playing together regardless if its ranked or unranked.
I don’t really know if this can be improved, folks have been trying to measure other folks with numbers for a long time but it just doesnt work out that well. There are things no formula can calcualte
I feel the same way I’ve always felt. The mantra “If its not in meta its not viable” is strong and I hate that. I want to soloQ my reaper with a greatsword and be viable. I want meaningful variety and overall condi tonedown. But thats not gonna happen anytime soon. The meta chase it way too strong and always one dimensional.
Before anyone points it out I’ve seen videos of a greatsword reaper scoring some sweet crits but that dude plays premades and is almost always supported by party boons. Solo queue is a diff story.
This is getting out of hand. Fought alot of 4-5 man necro team. Obviously its getting out of hand. Not only that i am forcing to play a class that i dont favor. I hope you can actually fix this before season 2 ends. Its getting cancerous.
You dont actually think if you play a necro yourself you can win vs a premade with 5 of them right? The class stacking is something that should have been taken out long ago. Its a big problem in any game with pvp and I hate to see it esp when done with my own main.
PS: About Warriors. My reaper has been hit with 15k gun flame and 5×2k volley crits mutliple times in a single match. They are part of the meta
(edited by pepsis.5384)
Hi folks,
so Im playing a Reaper. Actually I only made the Necro a month before HoT because I saw they were getting a greatsword. Big fan of the greatsword in any game really, add the necro flavour to it and its really attractive to me conceptually. I’m pretty much new to GW2 PVP but I picked it as my way to acquire armor skins.
So, can someone give me pvp build tips for a power reaper using greatsword as one of his weapons. I really hate the idea of playing range weapons only and honestly if I cant play my greatsword then I dont see a reason to play the reaper at all. My current build revolves around the standard spite/SR/reaper with GS + staff or GS + scep/horn, my amulet is either cavalier or berserker. I also like to use shouts as utilities. This build can work but it works slowly and what Im encountering more and more in pvp are folks with massive burst either via direct dmg ( 15k gun flame crits followed by 5×2k volley crits for example ) or via condi bombs with powerful hard cc. My supposedly tough reaper is pretty much helpless against such burst and can only try to fight it off if I have full lifeforce bar.
Does anyone think a GS power play can be successful or am I just gonna have to suck it up and die alot on my way to those armor skins? Thanks
(edited by pepsis.5384)
Conditions in general sums it up for me. I’ve been doing more and more pvp lately and the condi bomb thats gets dropped on a single player character sometimes is astounding. I dont want to play with condis myself just to be able to push back. I like my greatsword, sadly in my Reapers hands it feel vastly underwhelming for PVP.
So apparently someone was offended by my post here yesterday. What I wrote may have been a tad sharp but it was my personal reflection on the current state of the expansion fueled by nothing else but my sincere frustration with some aspects of HoT. It definitely wasnt insulting or hateful – if some of my fellow posters felt it was let me know and I’ll adjust my level of honesty next time.
Anyway I’m drawing my conclusions from all this and everyone else is free to draw theirs.
Really, only 7 people want to be able to see utility cooldowns in death shroud?
bumpity
I dont really care to be honest. The more I play my Necro the more I learn to anticipate cooldowns
Some classes are strong at A and weak at B, others are strong at B, weak at A and average at C. Points is class balance is not about literal equality. Its about playing to our strengths and other’s weaknesses, its about canceling each other out.
Now surely nobody would claim any class invincible or without a counter right?
It’s like 2015 turret engineer… Low skill, high reward. Yes it can be beaten, but it takes more effort than it should. Boons are just gasoline and necros are the fuse, and in some cases it’s better to not use boons at all, which is how it shouldn’t be.
Just take off the unnecessary auto attack scepter buff, increase cool down on CB a bit and change chill to scale more like burning.
In essence your post reads " Its hard to beat when it should be easy to beat, so please nerf accordingly ".
Same old bullkitten in every game, PvP breaking everything else
(edited by pepsis.5384)
Thats exactly it, we always lack 1 or more things. I’m not too familiar with the rest of the classes but it does seem the Necro/Reaper is the class most punished for build choices. Of course I could be completely wrong
I have a use for Gravedigger in PVP that works with variable success rate. I open with my range weapon of choice, do some dmg, apply some condis then switch to GS, pull with 5 and hit with Gravedigger. Intel sigil makes sure its a crit and at this point the enemy is quite low on health. This works best if the other person doesnt expect a necro with a gs in pvp and it also helps if he is not very experienced in pvp
Pull with GS 5 and then grave digger, I feel this was supposed to be the weapon’s lock burst combo. A lock burst combo is a combo that first locks the target in place and more or less guarantees the target takes full damage on a skill. Just about every other class’s weapon has one, or the lock part on the combo is in a trait with a very short or no CD, e.g Warrior: leg specialist trait/bladetrail —-—- Arcing slice
GS doesnt have one. It should have been GS 5 with grave digger but gs 5 cooldown is too long compared to grave digger. None of Necro’s weapons actually has lock burst except dagger but the number 2 isnt what i would call a burst skill so not really.
You use condis with GS. You running hybrid? how is it working for you?
You are correct. The GS 5 to Gravedigger can really be used reliably once and its very situational, thats why I have intelligence sigil to make sure I crit with it. My build is indeed a hybrid (Cavalier Amulet) but its not optimal. And by optimal I mean full berserk or full condi. Its more like a tanky bruiser with good toughness and HP who can dish some condi dmg at range or melee ( poison in RS, chill ) and has potential for wicked crits with GS or RS. Probably every pro player will laugh at it but it’s what fits my aestetic play style. In other words I enjoy it.
As far as success rate goes let me first say I play unranked PVP and its 50/50 in there.
(edited by pepsis.5384)
Not a fan of HoT and the fact that I find empty maps more often than not isnt helping at all.
@maddoctor.2738: what you call “players having conflicting goals” , I call variety. Folks should always get to choose what they want to do not always do what they must.

- Premades exploiting/grinding, no skills in solo. Queued vs them x times in a row, the same ones which lead to delusional guys thinking they’re skilled themselves
- GW2 first game where elo boost is being “legalized” (some ppl who are in a division they shouldn’t be)
- Unskilled premades from that same case in your division making you queued vs full premade/3-4 man, gj. Same consequence as first case.
- Anet unable to do changes during a season, only at the end of each one. Forgot ppl are idling.
That’s all there is to it.P.S: http://img4.hostingpics.net/pics/499309gw085.jpg Grind + Elo boost more pls. I’d like to add that I was being queued 7 times in a row vs the same pres, if that’s not grinding. Either put separate queues Anet or don’t ever put league again.
No Reaper in there some folks would have us believe its the FotM class
Playing my Necro at the moment and literally all I have to do is press F1 and then own anyone near me.
This is a joke. Please nerf me so I can play other classes.
I know Warriors feel kinda weak at the moment but come on. Is coming here and crapping on the Necro really the way to argue for your chosen main? In PVE the Reaper is far from being the strongest or the best. In unranked PVP, which is the only kind I play I get killed just as much as I kill others on my Reaper.
What’s op at the moment is the whole condition situation and that needs addressing. Just make sure to leave my power Reaper out of it.
And finally isn’t there a dedicated forum for PVP grief ?
Congrats mr Guildwarsholic, good job
HoT currently is very class specific. My reaper is barely challenged while im honestly scared to go there with my warrior.
PS: still dont forget that HoT is grindy trash
Im not bored with hot, I need to like it first.
Deified.7520 your posts are on point and your points are valid and eloquently made. Lets hope there are still folks at Anet who listen and understand.
I went back to alts. HoT is worthlress for me except for the “elite” traits. I’m letting my wallet speak to ArenaNet, hope they hear it.
