If you’re roaming running glass cannon is tricky. However with a sword /shield + longbow set you have less defensive and mobility options then a GS + sword / shield setup. I think you could try a heavy condi or mix condi damage build. I think rabid gear + undead runes will catch a lot of people off guard.

nope, in fact I don’t think healing shouts are that necessary in the first place. I think a full zerker or a mixed armor damage build is probably the best contribution a warrior can bring to a dungeon.

When I read the thread I interprited it as your actual stats that means.
No boons no food. No Sigents or Signet mastery. No dumb traits that gives more defense when your full health. No screenshots with me having full adrenaline. These are my stats just base stats nothing fantastic. NO ascended.

I dont need to pretend on the forums with all boosted stats.

My WvW spec:

Food: Poultry and Leek + Quality Maintenance Oils (i’m cheap)
Crit chance goes up to 81% with fury, heightened focus, sigil of accuracy

Armor: All Berserker + Melandru

Those are nice stats though I fell with all that ascended items your attack power should be higher. Especially with zerker armor. Because I have no ascended items and I am using knights armor with only 10 points in strength and my unbuffed attack is higher.

I know right, that’s exactly why my screenshot includes the UID. And I also pointed out exactly which food buff I had going – 50 precision is pretty minuscule anyway. However people upgrade to ascended as they go, you can’t expect people to hang onto their old exotic gear just to compare to your weaker gear, though really the stat boosts are minuscule as well.

Also just look at his crit damage, 90% is crazy high.

Also I’ve just noticed that my health is different in the stats compared to what it is in the UID O.o

Your health is different because of the WvW bonusses!

I use signet of stamina fairly frequent. While the cd is long, it’s one of the few full conditions cleanses warriors have. Also the passive is a nice bonus.

It depends, there is a stat cap that all classes have and the allocation is different. For example, a lot of my stats are in critical damage (90). If you were to move those to power, every 10 would be equivalent to 100 power roughly speaking.

With sword mace you can Leap + knockdown, followed by a immob if you hit. Although doing that is kinda useless unless..

I’m calling either a buffed photo or WvW stats are different.

It’s with the two food items mentioned. However signet of rage wasn’t used.

I’ve run into a few good [EDGE] players, but the other roamers I’ve seen running around have died to me in 1v2 and 1v3s… a ranger at that. A mesmer buddy and myself wiped four [EDGE] (which is still the biggest group of you guys that I have seen). So while I like to pride myself at being good at what I do, I’m never impressed with a group that lets themselves die in such helpless fashion.

So either I’ve been fighting the wrong [EDGE] roamers, or you guys have some people in your guild who aren’t carrying the weight of a guild that has “never been wiped on fair grounds.”

Faux, if your mesmer buddy was Potato then your numbers are skewed and the win is null and void, enough said.

I do not want to start more ranting and raving, however I don’t post much and simply read/take everyone posts for what they are. Does anyone else see this?: BP seems like the big kid on the playground who talks about being able to beat everyone up, only to be kicked in the seed and cry for hours. Just my two cents, I could be wrong but it is how i interpret the posts. Good luck to all!

Well if you’re gonna go long bow in zergs, might as well go big. Get all berserker and run 30/0/0/10/30. Along with some crit and precision food, you’ll hit 8k – 10k longbow 3 in no time!

I can’t recall from memory, but I think binding roots might not be effected. Please correct me if I’m wrong though.

I think whirlwind will get out of binding roots, but rush wont.

Balanced stance gives stability which prevents control effects. However immobilize is not a control effect but a condition, thus you will still be rooted in place.

Mobile strikes takes care of that as it removes immobilize on a movement skill GS 3,5; sword 2; shield 4. These will remove immobilize on skill use.

Yes and no, if you want to maximize crit damage, there is currently no way around not using berserker helm, chest and pants.

We can actually see the head, legs, rings, and back have a 1:16 ratio of numeric to percentage stats while weapons fall in a 1:14 for 2H and 1:13 for 1H. compare this to 1:12 for boots, glove, shoulder and an amazing 1:5 ratio for jewels.

Some classes should not be using full zerker in dungeons, warrior is one of them. Its very irritating when a full zerker signet warrior sits on the floor in my dungeon group, or worse drags one of the contributing members to revive him. This chart simply outlines where its best to trade off your +% crit damage for toughness or other stats.

Basically all classes that run some sort of precision build should be running zerker jewels to make use of that awesome ratio.

And of course if you want “max crit damage” your going to run full zerker, my GFs longbow ranger has over +100% crit damage in zerker everything, but shes a ranger and sits at 1500 range, compared to myself who needs to be in their face eating hits, and dishing them back without taking a floor nap.

I am well aware that helm, chest and legs offer less crit% per other damage point.
Having crit damage is very important though. At 4k effective power, every 1% of crit damage is equal to ( 40 * crit chance )Effective power. Generally as a warrior you really will have at least 80% crit chance so it’s equal to 32 effective power. This is much more then any of those 16 stat you are replacing. It only increases as you scale up the damage. Therefore if you really wanted to take some toughness pieces, the best choice would be to get cavalier trinkets, as cavalier armor is generally not available (except for random fractals drops i believe)

After pvd ehmry keeps over and over at night … Anet blessed me with a program called PsD (People Skipping Doors) It allowes me to open both outer and inner gates at any keep in wvw without using any siege. This should stop ebay complaining about me doing PvD. the support guy from Anet clearly said in the message that there’s no need to break the doors and waste your time since Ehmry wont be able to stop you, here’s the program .. use it well, In other words, even if i reached your keeps gates without the program you can consider the keep lost

Hey, later on stances are quite important in WvW

- Balanced stance (8s stability) = you won’t get chain cc’d
- Endure pain (4s no physical damage) = warrior’s oh-kitten button
- Frenzy = not much use now, just too slow for too much tradeoff
- Berserker stance = noone uses that

Rabid confusion mesmers incl. glamour mesmers
- It’s actually pretty easy against them. They don’t do a lot of direct damage and with reduced condition duration all the confusion and other conditions they apply fall off relatively quick.

Zerker shatter mesmer
- This one you really have to dodge the shatter burst anyhow possible (dodge, whirlwind, shield block, endure pain)
- you have to stay on him and put constant pressure with axe or GS. If you are at range, he’ll win
- try to get a lucky eviscerate in. That will usually down them or bring them <30% health

Duelist Phantasm spec (balanced stats)
- This is the only one I will usually die for sure. They have a lot of sustain with frequent regen, reduced damage per illusion etc. Lots of blink
- Best bet, try to take out the phantasms as they provide a lot of benefits and do most of the damage. However a good phantasm duelist will spread out the phantasms and you end up taking too much time / damage while trying to kill them.

I love warrior and i come back to it:
- no fixed rotation, you have to use all your weapon skills and utilities as the situation is requried
- highly versatile (group support, front line, back line, COF)
- heavy theory crafting.. (I think warriors have to best min / max traits and pretty good versatility)

and.. if you win duels, you know it was due to skill, not class advantage!

I got Sunrise, so I’m biased in opinion. However Sunrise is a lot brighter and has a greater spectrum of colors (deep red – bright yellow – light blue sky). Also sunrise really looks amazing at night as the contrasting bright colors illuminate against the darker background.

Thanks for the input guys, just wanted to clear up a couple things.
1. I’m using the build for PvE (mostly dungeons)
2. I’m not looking for a Guardian-style never takes damage tank, just something that can take more punishment than usual while still doing melee dps (My friends have healing and long-range covered, but they’re all glass cannons)

Oh if you’re looking for PvE, google a build called sonic boon. I think that one fits perfectly for what am you are looking for.

Hmmm I’d say if you’re looking for tanky support, get 10/0/30/30/0 just so you get either healing shouts or banners. You’d definitely want PVT armor and then if you wanna be more tanky get knights trinkets otherwise zerker trinkets.

I guess one benefit is it frees up mobile strikes mostly, so you can take signet mastery + heightened focus and don’t need to go 30 into disc. (the minor at 25 isn’t that great..)

Dang, condition removal on weapon swap would be amazing! It also ties in nicely with warrior being a master of weapons.

My dream trait would be:
mobile strikes – remove all movement impairment
armor 5pt – gain protection on critical hit (5s, 15s cd) although that one would be pretty OP..

I run a very smilar build with lyssa and similar traits (20/0/20/0/30) (I like the heightened focus more then empowered: 10% crit damage, 200 precision (=9% crit chance), 1 might on weapon swap vs 16% damage for 5secs, 10% boon duation, 100 vitality)

I have to try mace as I usually go with shield. Overall it’s a pretty solid build for most medium lvl play, but it still won’t cut it for the top tpvp lvl sadly :S.

Can someone link the most OP build they can think of please? I’m mainly looking for something that doesn’t require me to make use of team work or communicate and will be so disgustingly overpowered that my enemies will vomit all over there keyboard before they have a chance to react to me. Thanks in advance.

In my personal opinion look into the following:
- shatter confusion memser (can take on 2-3 medium skilled people easily)
- shattercat mesmer (can burst one person really really fast)
- DD ele (Free roam, never die)
- HGH engi (high utility and might)
- Confusion engi (high utility and condition damage)

I personally don’t find thiefs that effective especially with culling removed.

this is why i love this class. Because even though we have 1 build that is good, it really take SKILLS for you to pull it off. Is not about spamming one thing, it is all situational and different at every encounter. I have seen noobs engies with this build die like the roaches they are because they cant pull it off.

you just cant spam 1 and 2 and win. takes a lot more than that.

also,

dont go to wvw thinking you can own anybody. I have a tanky build engi and i see all these noobs engies with this build. I just eat them for lunch. too easy.

you can say that for every class.

Except warriors, we have no build :’(
