So do you think Echo of Memory needed to be nerfed? Knowing that it hurts both power and condi builds? Similarly the nerf to RI, well that trait probably needed some form of nerf, but this just unfairly hurst core mesmers because they won’t have access to IR and chronophantasma. There are some people here that feel that even though we probably needed some nerfs, the ones we got were in the wrong places
I honestly think 35 is fine for getting 6s of blocking. Warriors have 25 and Engineers have 30 but they can’t use their ability back to back. 35s for EoM is probably where it should have been from the get go. Although, anything higher than that is over the top.
But I was commenting more on the OP asking for Phase Retreat to have an increased cooldown.

These changes were based off player feedback, so if it’s anyones fault, it’s ours. ANet is taking a chance and using our feedback to develop, something we’ve been begging for, so let’s see how it goes before the doom and gloom.
I’m all for that but four seasons of disappointment is hard to forget.

I’m leaning more towards anet enhancing current trait lines. I.e. placing a trait line in the bottom slot makes them elite. After what Hot left us, they’ll think twice before making completely new specs.

Phase Retreat is an amazing skill and for you to ask for it to be completely changed shows a lot about your GW2 Mesmer IQ.
I’m not sure why people keep using the phrase, Quality of Life, when referring to clear buffs to existing abilities.
With that said, Ring of Warden to be cast while moving would be nice. Mighty Blow is fine as it is. And third chain should most definitely have a decreased cast time.
The real interesting part is what will happen when they release the next elite and it doesn’t have 25% movement speed increase.
Ring of Warden and Zealots Embrace is how you get away.
I’m sorry to say this, sexual legend, but the world’s are/should probably not happen again.
It looks like you’ll have to take your legend status to another game as you’ve already dominated the real world.
But the “Boonmancer” name doesn’t make any sense for a Guardian/DH.
That won’t make them useful, they’d still be terrible. And the biggest reason is there are much better alternatives and aren’t AI.
Just a hunch, but I can see spirit weapons changing come next expansion. Otherwise, asking for fruitful changes now seems wasted by the design/development team. It could also be a route they don’t want to take Guardians in anymore – use of AI.
I like the symbol to be a bit quicker, too. It’s always felt clunky to me.
The only way I get around to doing a quick symbol and not being stuck in animation is stowing weapon as soon as I use GS4.
It is a skill that performs a function and has sequences.

It makes no sense for them to even hint or overtly say what they’re going to do in the next balance patch when they could have done it (and they have) with this patch.

There is power creep with regards to the elite specializations but I swear the people who complain about it think damage is increased 500%. It’s actually not that bad.
When they release the next set of elite specializations, we’ll really see if we get power rush or not.

It’s always good practice to play with the changes for a few days before jumping the gun on the patch notes. I’m pretty convinced the people who complain to this day use the arrow keys for movement and keyboard turn.

Three months is fine but I’d expect more out of the balance updates.

For PvP, they’d still be completely useless.
With the nerf to Purification cast time, I suspect we will see posts about reverting the change, how DH is no longer viable, and that DH is OP.

What were people expecting with the changes to Mesmer? Because it seems like you wanted Mesmer to maintain its current course which we all knew was being nerfed.

The joke on you is thinking Spirit Weapons would ever get changed to be viable.
The meta healer build for tempest is still pretty strong.
But I do think ele needs massive underused trait/skill improvement. The class simply lacks diversity.

I guess we’ll see what happens with the balance update. Boon sharing is getting tweaked (read, nerfed) but we’ll see to what extent.
The only way I could see this work is basing it off of what class you queue with and not allowing character swapping when the map loads up.
If that were the case, I’d be totally fine with limiting classes to two, possibly one per team.
Is protection really that big of an issue in WvW? I haven’t played WvW in about two months and at the time it was just a massive condi/burst fest.
So is this in zerg WvW where protection won’t really save you if you’re focused by 5+ or is this in small scale fights?
DH is Balanced:DDDDDDD lol everyone who says that is facerolling over the keyboard and kills most ppls with 0 skill.
DH got way too much survivability combined with blocks.
They even heal up when they fart.
Seeing as how really nothing of importance changed with DH since start of HoT, DH has been balanced compared to the rest of the classes.
But let’s forget that DH got completely shut down by Engineer and Elementalists and kitten near every other class just until last update. At least now DH’s have a fighting chance.
And I’ve been maining a Mesmer for about 3 years now and DH’s are near perfect balanced. It’s the other classes that need tweaking.
Personally, I wish they would give us back the start of recharge upon charging a mantra.
