A neat idea, but it has a very narrow customer base for three reasons.
-you can already do this for free if you have Hall of Monument skins unlocked already (ya they are broken now, I know)
-transmutation charges are easy to come by, easy to purchase, and easy to save.
-once you hit level 80 and you gear your character the way you want, you no longer need it.
As an item that is only really marketable towards players leveling their toons, Anet would make little to no profit on it.
Saw a moogle wandering around DR one day!
can you use the new camera sliders while in 1st person?
I was really excited when I got my first fractal weapon drop.
SPEARGUN.
there were tears. I haven’t really been to Fracs since…
thanks for this!
dat axe… omg. this may be the first new set I am actually excited about.
hard to tell in the screenie.. how is it any different from typical Abyss dye?
omg, wow. that aegis. hahaha
early access beta will likely be in about 6 to 8 weeks, and with a full release about 2-3 months following.
I would expect a full retail release on or near the GW1 10th annie, which will be around mid, late summer this year. Looks like the right time frame.

gliding is a mastery, not a class specialization. they are totally different.
mastery will be for the new areas only. class specialization will likely be global.
I wish mesmer would finally get a FAN like they do in their ART

…unless that’s just an engi
just please remember to put an option to purchase through the gem store. some of us have more in game gold than real world money..
I’m guessing they will add more to the Architecture line, without a doubt. Start saving up your influence now everyone.
I’ll just be happy to be on the friendly side of Spectral Agony for once..
but just because they are allies doesnt mean we won’t have to fight them as well. (nightmare court, blood legion, etc)
the problem with underwater is your traits, and utility skills..
you cannot have different traits for underwater set like your utilities, and there is huge unbalance in what utilities you can and cannot use underwater between the professions..
until that is balanced, I dont think they will focus on underwater at all. which really sucks.
Rurik Skill: Shout “I was once a boy in these lands!”
-AoE Cripple, Vuln
-Vuln self
-deal double damage / take double damage until another ally enters melee range.
-cry

pretty sure there will be at least 1 new weapon type (polearm) it looks like ryt-rit is using one in the trailer…
It looks like it will be just the opposite I think… tanky, low health, and high mobility. he was teleporting between enemies during one attack chain. lots of aoe spike it looks like so far.
How many Specializations per Profession?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: roachsrealm.9284
I’m betting we’ll see 2 per profession.
it wasnt with EotN, but there were also no new professions with that expansion. just new skills / maps. You couldn’t “start from scratch” in there like you could Cantha and Elona.
probably, but it all depends on the merit cost. when bounties were introduced several large roster guilds were able to unlock all said upgrades in one day just speeding up the build que by spending more influence.
250 merits sounds like a good number for a guild hall “baseline” then further upgrades from there much smaller amounts of merits / influence. that shows your guild is thriving and even needs a guild hall, but it also prevents new guilds from competing in GvG right away…
you’ll probably have to bit the bullet and spend the coin > influence for a hall. I’m guessing a guild hall will be high 5, maybe low 6 figures worth of influence at least.

well, the gliding doesnt seem to be a profession specialty, but more of a zone specialty (more akin to the zepherite crystals)
I wouldnt count on gliding in other areas just yet.
the dervish used avatars and powers of the (at the time) 5 human gods, channeling their abilities through their skill use. The new profession does the same kind of thing, but its not limited to the 6 human gods, instead its based on heroes of the past through the mists (glint, abbadon, mallyx, etc.)
hopefully there is a skill that channels prince rurik. that would be better than anything else in this expansion.

Im sure they will be usable in other areas.. it sounds like they will unlock new trait trees and such.. would be silly to restrict that kind of mechanic in just one or two zones.
you will likely need to purchase a slot. I bet they will go on sale just before or around the time of launch.
hard to say tho, since it’s a paid expansion it may come with a slot of it’s own… thats not entirely unlikely. time will tell.
looks bladed on the end on one side like a destroyer skin. awful funny look for a staff…
so RITlock is a RITualist now?
planned from the start! HL3 confirmed!
So how much influence is my guild going to need saved up to get a guild hall fully featured on day one? Any guesses?
Will we be able to customize our upgrades, and will be we able to customize locations of merchants, crafting stations, etc?
so uh… I decided to make a new character. Turns out I finished creation right at reset.
I came in to game to see my 4th daily log in calender reward, along with another one proclaiming my 1st day. again. what? Images attached of double chests.
I hope this doesn’t reset my track. I was under the impression these rewards were account related, and not character related. I accepted the 4th day rewards first, then the 1st day reward.

You are welcome. It was such a fun puzzle I was inspired.
Its up now. whole puzzle, if you have any questions shout out
it’s still processing :/ should be public once it’s finished tho. check back
included how to get there from the camp, 4 chests along the route, and what to do with the dowsing rod once you are finished.
since Ive given up on getting a precursor Ive kind of stopped going to my legendary. I saw the new duds in the gem store and just had to have them. sold some mats to get up to the current new shiny gem exchange rate of 800 (sure, Id have 100 left over but oh well). the price for 800 was like, 154 gold. by the time I finished selling my mats it was up to 157. I was 3 gold shy. in the amount of time it took a guild mate to send me another 3 gold, it was up to 159.
so, what do I have to do now… just start throwing money at the screen until it falls over and tips in my favor?
this whole thing is no bueno.
after some number crunching the nomad set just isn’t up to part for other options..
with a warrior traited 5/0/6/0/3 (vit/tough > power conversion) a full set of Knights gives more toughness and power than a full set of Nomads. In top tier everything other sets still produce more toughness. The vitality isn’t enough to boost the power beyond what you’d get.
With nomad all you are doing is sacrificing power for your health pool. Most classes won’t need this. I can see a zerk crit thief swapping out 2, maybe 3 pieces of armor for Nomads to give herself a boost during tough OHK fights. Otherwise, Nomad: Do not purchase / craft.
tried this recently after the patch, and pugs now think it requires someone to AFK outside of the fight to bug out wipes.
“…it’s required”
so, now that she scales correctly for 5 people fighting her, she is so tough it requires someone to stay out of the fight just so when the other 4 wipe (and they will because it’s scaled for 5) they can insta-res on a count and pick up where they left off.
The fight itself is interesting, the mechanics are a challenge, and the effort required is appropriate. The damage and the bugs are game breaking. Used to fractal every day. Now i won’t even set foot in there over level 11.
Id like a title, some achievement points, a birthday booster, a leveler scroll (+20, not up to 20) and some mini (my choice of).
and 500,000 karma please.
hmm… with vitality and toughness conversion traits / runes and consumables, you can get max toughness, high health and moderate power, if not actually pretty good power out of this set. You need a lot of toughness/vit for sure, but you will still end up over 3.4k power with the right set up. no conditions but who cares because lol health pool.
true, it’s no zerker, but it will take more than three champ hits and still be able to dish it out…
The Gothic Embrace is a medium sized guild with solid core of active members. We’ve been around since Guild Wars 1 and some of us have been with Goth since 2005. We welcome L33T as well as casual gamers. We are mostly adults, but do have some younger members (mostly our kids and little brothers; family is welcome here too.)
We use TeamSpeak 3 and have regular weekly Guild Missions, monthly contests, and weekly just for fun events. Our members are mostly from North America and Australia. We have many players who WvW and PvP, but we are mostly a PvE/Dungeon/Fractal guild.
We love our guildies, and they are like extended family to us, so treat them well and you will be welcome among us. We’re gay friendly, trans friendly, military friendly, kawaii desu friendly, disabled friendly… just about everything except for mean-people friendly, really. We’re just here to have fun.
Stop by our website and have a peek at our private forums at http://thegothicembrace.com/. You can check us out at our facebook feed too, at https://www.facebook.com/thegothicembraceguild. We have a FAQ on our forums, along with instructions for getting an invite to the guild.
crazy as it sounds, I swap out to clerics / zealots gear for this fight. I know, stick with me..
get on a guardian, use greatsword, and stand in your symbol. take as many hits as possible. you can fully heal yourself 3 times with the right skills and timing. the retaliation will shave off most of his health faster than you can hit him yourself.
closest I’ve felt to a pure blood necro from GW1 since playing this game.
Im amazed at how this all makes so much sense and I knew something was wrong but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Every new player we get into our guild ends up being a week or two of teaching them how to play. Since we steamroll dungeons regularly we are teaching them about the more advanced aspects of the game, but most players have the most basic of questions.
…and dont even get me started on Fractals. If I have to read off the /wiki agony page one more time I might choke.
just play thru them normally. since you can downgrade higher drops for lower ones it really doesn’t matter which one you get as long as you get one. hope for fractals with more mobs.
AC p2 Champ Graveling at the spike traps no longer takes damage from the spike traps. you have to burn it down regularly. Caught us off guard on our full dungeon clear last night.
check out my guild. we’re on FA and we do nightly pve / pvp events. also guild missions every week. you can register for our forum and look us up in game.

I came up with a real simple solution to this a long time ago.
If I see a commander doing events and organizing, I join their squad. I have the squad channel on. I have map chat turned off. Any good commander will use it and everyone will benefit for it.
Now that I have my tag, I pop it on anytime I want to offer help or need help doing something. People just appear out of nowhere sometimes. I don’t even need to be organized. Players generally know what to do, and if they don’t it takes a sentence or two to educate on any given specific task. Easily the best 100g I spent in the game so far.
If you are really just sick of seeing commander tags on the map, there is a super simply way to stop seeing them. Log out. No one is forcing you to look at them.
Hey there. It sounds like you would fit in our group. We have a smaller roster of active players but we also have all upgrades unlocked and a long history of helping new players get a feel for the game.
We’re on Fort Aspenwood. Give us a look and see if it will fit. While you aren’t required to transfer to join us, you would simply have to guest when we ran guild missions to receive commendations. We’re a PvE guild with a focus on just having fun and enjoying the game. Private teamspeak server, site and forum, the works.

We run dungeons every night. We are on Fort Aspenwood. We are familiar with every path, and we have them down to a science.

Our guild is doing guild wide boosts and we run all guild missions that reward commendations once week. We do this every Friday evening at 9pm Eastern on Fort Aspenwood.
If you are interested in joining us please do so. While our guild has a long history, we would like to give an opportunity to anyone who cannot get commendations every week a way to do so.
There are no rep requirements unless you are actively participating, and no guild fees or taxes involved. All you have to do is show up and rep, and take home your rewards.
To get involved contact Smitten Mittens in game by mail please. You can also check us out on Facebook by searching for The Gothic Embrace Guild.
